Review Lunigiana Gelateria - Kew East

Authentic Italian gelato and waffle experience. Highly recommend if you think the usual has too much sugar in it.

Discovered this gem after a nice Korean dinner just upstairs from here, and the staff here patiently serviced us very well, even with a huge group of 12 adults and 6 kids under 10! the gelato was great - highly recommend!

Just opened on the St where I work. Fabulous Icecream. I had mango and pineapple and my friend had lemon and coffee. All sensational. You can see the owner out the back making the gelato fresh!

Never buy a prepackaged ice cream again . This place is the real deal. Gelato made on site. Save a flight to Italy! Creamy. smooth Pistachio won my heart.

Oh. My. Goodness!!! This place is AMAZING!!! There are ALWAYS new flavours! Service is 5 star! I'm not even sure that I was even interested in ice cream before this (FANTASTICLE) place opened! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Delicious ice-cream and waffles. We love coming here in the evenings for a coffee and something naughty. They also have great customer service.

Best five health colour ice cream (mixed berries) I’ve ever had. Highly suggest this to ice cream lovers

Beautiful place and beautiful people, after several visits I have decided to write a review to support this place. The gelatos have been made perfectly, especially the fruity flavours, mango is a must try. Cookies and cream was not too sweet and pistachio was awesome. This place also has generous serving size, overall, best in Melbourne.

3.5

Lunigiana Gelateria is a quaint and nondescript gelato shop that was eerily quiet, even on a warm and sunny arvo. It honestly deserves more love though. The creme brulee gelato was soft and creamy, with a beautiful custard-like flavour. The cookies and cream gelato had generous chunks of cookies swirled into it, but was slightly less creamy and pronounced in flavour compared to the creme brulee.

Friendly and polite service, and because of how quiet the place was, it did felt rather unnerving but on the up side, I could have sat there the whole day and enjoyed my gelato.

This place has all the flavours you would expect. I had the creme brulee and the hazelnut, thee first of which was average, but the second one was pretty good. Not in the upper echelons of gelato places going around, however not bad. Serving sizings are huge here.

Lunigiana Gelateria is a family run business, specialising in house-made, small batch fresh gelato with natural flavours - think seasonal fruit in summer!! After having lived in Bologna for a year and a half, and stuffed myself on excellent ice-cream, it was wonderful to find creamy, delicious gelato in Melbourne at a reasonable price point. Neat shop, very spacious. Tasted the waffles too - delicious, and home made (nice to enjoy non-commercial mix waffles).

Lunigiana is quite a spacious gelato place. The range of flavours include comforting favourites and some interesting creations. Creme brulee is so incredible and I will definitely have to have it next time. Cookies and cream was also really nice. The gelato is very smooth and creamy, and the flavours tried so far have been really strong. Pricing is also good (starting at $4.50 for one scoop). For me, it's a tad sweeter than I prefer though.

A newcomer to the Melbourne gelato scene, Lunigiana Gelateria is a family-run business with excellent gelato. Over several visits, we have been impressed with its all-natural gelati made from fresh seasonal ingredients.

Lunigiana offers around 20 flavours, which change every day. The gelati based on summer fruits have been outstanding – special mentions for plum gelato, mango gelato and fresh fig gelato. We are keen to see what will be on the menu once the summer fruits have finished.

Super friendly service, but don’t be put off by the rather functional interior. Focus on the gelato.

Amazing authentic gelati! Will definitely come back. We ordered just two scoops and the serving size was so big we could hardly finish it!!!

Tried a few flavours (panna cotta, cherry, and nougat) and find all of them to sweet and even the flavour that i thought safe was not as expected. The place itself is big, a bit lack of decoration, but i guess it is still new.

Lovely family run gelateria. They have a huge range of beautiful rotating seasonal flavours. No rainbow here, strictly authentic and natural flavours.

Currently working our way through the whole range with take home tubs ($15, $20, $25). Favourites so far are Popcorn (Yes! It tastes like salted caramel), Hazelnut, Plum and Pavlova.

Will definitely visit again.

Firstly, the shop fit out is clean, comfortable and fresh.

It’s a family run business with very friendly staff!
Very reasonable prices.

The flavours are amazing - all the gelato is made in house. Try: creme brûlée, popcorn and pavlova.

They also have hot and cold drinks.

Really beautiful gelato that is a much needed business in Kew. The staff are friendly and the assortment of flavours is appealing. A good range of sorbets and gelato. Would recommend the pistacchio 😊
