Review Carmenuccio Restaurant - Kew East

Pizza is always generous with toppings. I've just tried the smoked salmon pasta during my last visit. The light creamy sauce goes well with smoked salmon. I recommend a dash of chili powder if you like it slightly different.

Delicious, good quality food, reasonable price for rather large serving, the restaurant and food style gave a nice 80 - 90s vibe which brings back good memories of that time

Had dinner recently, lovely attentive staff great pizza byo wine charge excessive and excessive charge for a bit of extra chilli, unnecessary when paying a bill over $130
Our family always feels so welcomed here, not snotty, not pretentious, just good food & service from great owners and staff. We always pick carmenuccio over many others in the local area because they are always helpful and let you alter the pastas and pizzas without fuss.
Thank

Childhood Favourite. Growing up in Kew, I used to frequent Camenuccio's with my family a lot.
As a kid I would always be given a ball of dough to take home (mum would have to beg me to throw it out!)
Carmine and Therese are fantastic. Always greet us with a smile and always have a spare table for us.
Still love the pizza (as much as i did when I was 5).
Have been lucky ennough to meet there son and daughter on seperate occasions. A lovely family all round.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times now. I have tried the black pepper eye fillet steak (best steak I have had in my life!), carbonara and the minestrone soup. All were absolutely fantastic each time. I will definitely be back soon

There's nothing gourmet or unique about the pizzas here. We ordered prawn pizza and we were served tiny shrimp, the vegetarian pizza was nice but nothing special. The best thing about the pizza's were the crust!
I saw the chef use packet gnocchi so don't expect homemade Italian pasta. The staff however were friendly and the desserts were pretty tasty.

We ordered 3 pizzas which were all under cooked, sticking to the box. Very dissappointed. Would not order from again.

Love the pizza here This pl.... Love the pizza here
This place is a hidden gem of the eastern suburbs
The crust is just the right thickness
With the appropriate amount of crunch
The toppings are generous and they always taste delicious
The pumpkin soup, a special only on some days is one of the best I have take
Thick and creamy, with that nutty pumpkin taste
A local and family favorite

One of the best pizza's in Melbourne...you won't be disappointed with this small traditional Italian restaurant. The authentic food is cooked to perfection each time. Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Well done Carmenuccio's

Hidden gem. Can't believe this place wasn't here... came here a few nites ago and had dinner. The price has increased a fair bit over the years, but the quality is consistently good, and they're open whenever we're hungry, so that works for us :)
We had carmenuccio tortellini, entree size, which had bacon, spinach, olive and chili, for $17. I like that it's not the nominal serving of chili, they got the balance right - but if you can't eat spicy, just don't order this! My husband had spaghetti marinara, main, for around $24? (I didn't really check), but man, he got over a dozen clams and another dozen of prawns! We also ordered avocado salad but it's not that impressive -wish they would give us more avocado slices, but it's only $6 or something, and the dressing helped a lot.
Overall it's a bit pricy compared to other Italian restaurants, especially around Kew, but we've never been disappointed (ok, maybe exclude the avocado salad). Their staff is friendly and they always bring out the food at the right time.
