Our daughter and new son-in-law had their Wedding Reception at QPO on Saturday night. The venue, food, and wait-staff were sensational and faultless! Gorgeous function room, delicious meals, very attentive and professional wait-staff! Many positive comments from impressed guests including those in the travel/hospitality industry! We highly recommend this venue!! Thank you again QPO!

I’ve been to events here upstairs and downstairs. I’ve run events here upstairs and downstairs. They’ve always been successful. The ones upstairs are a little more private and take you away from the everyday traffic of QPO. Comfortable seating, nice range of food and refreshment.
Staff are always amazing and very helpful.
If you’re coming here for dining or for me more recently a business meeting, the food and coffee is good. Weather it’s a soup or pasta meal, muffin and hot chocolate or a coffee on the go - it’s all well done.
Kid friendly. Parking is limited to one hour unless you park across the broad at the supermarket.
Very friendly staff and good service. We had Mother's day dinner here. All the meal was looks nice and delicious. The staff was very nice when little one spill the baby chino they brought him marshmallow to make him happy.
Dinner last night at qpo , amazing family friendly place dinner with friends. The food was amazing 10/10 , the chef who cook the steak it was perfect cook best steak i ever had , services was good I be coming back again.
I've been to QPO only a handful of times. However, I do believe that each time has been better than the last. The last time I went I was greeted by Chris who I believe is one of the managers. His kind and warm welcome made my experience exceptionally enjoyable. Chris had a smile on his face throughout my entire dining experience and did not shy away from questions. Staff were friendly and polite . I had Spaghetti Bolognaise and a side serve of vegetables. The food did take a little while to come out but it was very nice . I have been to QPO a few times . I always enjoy going there .

This place is nice and safe. The food is never the most amazing thing you’ve ever eaten but it’s always good quality, decent service without a ridiculous price. The menu is nothing exciting but old favourites mean your unlikely to find someone who won’t be happy with something on it.
Little pricey but it is worth for it. The food are tasty. Customer services are great. Always happy to go there and never disappoint. Recommend to everyone.
Smoked salmon salad is delicious on a warm afternoon! Great paired with an ice latte. Came in with my sister for lunch but is very versatile and could accommodate many different events
Went for here for a function & the food & service was amazing. When we were all at our tables, the staff always came over to check if we needed a drink or anything. The food was awesome. I got the arancini for entree & steak for main. The arancini was delicious & I liked the sauce it had. The steak was good as well. Cooked to perfection.
It's rare to find a venue these days that is truly a triple threat: fabulous food, fabulous functionality, and above all else, truly wonderful service. The staff knew their stuff inside and out, and treated us like family - rare these days in the hospitality sector. If you're after a venue that truly beats the competition, QPO is definitely one to put on the very top of your list.
Finally the perfect parma! Not to big, not too small, ham, cheese and sauce! Plus wedges instead of chips which are crunchy. Nice juicy breast chicken too!
One of the better cafés of the area, I say this because it’s spacious, so you feel there’s enough space between you and others, or for a big group. Service was friendly as expected.
Expensive for a pub and service is very average so the food. The only positive is the location and old building atmosphere, everything else is disappointing.
Solid food , return customers. No real ambiance outside but nice place to sit and have a cocktail . I come here for the seafood spaghetti , usually pretty darn good , the usual three muscles , thee prawns , handful of calamari (today a bit chewy ) but a good amount of tender fresh Atlantic salmon. Had it about 5 times this year and always consistent. Also tried the bruschetta today was a nice surprise ! Staff friendly.
Had dinner last Saturday night at QPO with friends. It was my second visit and on both occasions the meals were top notch. I had a delicious lamb shank, I hadn’t had one for a few years and I now can’t work out why I haven’t. It was cooked perfectly and the flavours were sensational, it’s been a while since I’ve had such a pleasant surprise. Would’ve rated higher but our table was in line with a door that didn’t have a sunscreen, I could see the others at the table the glare was so bad. The waitress noticed and moved us to another table after about 30 minutes. Can’t wait to go back for another meal.
QPO is an excellent example of simple modern Australian pub food, done really well without unnecessary frills or deviations. The fish and chips, soft shell crab burger, and chocolate pudding were all delicious. The mains were both perfectly fried. It was a little on the pricey side, but it was an enjoyable meal and excellent pub food.
This has been my long standing almost weekly to go place.
You cannot fault with the quality and most reasonable priced bistro in kew.My favs: chicken parma, QPO burger with the lot meaning with egg and hashbrown and the prosciutto and pear pizzas. Wash it down with a fine beer on tap or their coffees. I've also been here for breakfast and it's a decent feed if you get the big breakfast for around $20.

These fritters are overall really delicious and well presented! They look great and are extremely filling. We liked 99% of this dish, but the 1% issue that we had was that the labneh is a little too overpowering for this particular dish, because the fritters are thick and creamy, we couldn’t add too much labneh to each mouthful because it was a little rich. However, the cucumber is a perfect addition to these fritters as it breaks down the thickness of the fritters and gives a refreshing pop to the dish 😁 the avo is mashed perfectly and goes very well with this dish. The tomato relish is another perfect addition to this meal as it provides an element of sweetness to the savoury fritters 🤤
Overall, we do recommend this dish if you’re in the area and are hungry because it is very delicious and filling 😋

I've been to QPO a couple of times in the past three months, always very predictable and well priced. Allowing for the usual change in waiters and the varied moods that winter tends to bring, I feel that there is a lowering of service quality at QPO, I have not made this comment lightly as paying for our bill, there was a definite sigh when I requested if splitting the bill with another couple that attended with us was possible. Food however was a good consistent standard.
I genuinely enjoyed our late lunch here. The service was great, it wasn't very busy so they had enough time to serve us well with 5 staff running around another 3 in a corner taking pictures of food.
We had the gnocchi from the specials menu which were a great flavour combo with cauliflower puree, chorizo and a hazelnut crumb and also a veggie pizza which was yummy too.
The only let down was the dessert.
We ordered the raspberry cheesecake which looked devine however the rice bubble base was chewy and the cheesecake mousse was bland.
I would go again but try a different dessert next time.
Best calamari salad i've ever had. The calamari was fresh, served with generous amount. salad was nice with simple but delicious dressing. Perfect for light meal!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Prices are extremely reasonable and staff are always so friendly.
There is a great variety on the menu but I come to like there pizzas, chicken parmigiana and burger.
There pasta is also very nice.
Definitely recommended for a simple easy and affordable dinner.
I ordered the smashed avo and it was delicious. A generous amount of avocado and the mushrooms are a great addition to a classic dish. One of the meals at our table appeared to be forgotten but the staff were very apologetic and generously gave our group two complimentary slices for dessert.
It is Family Friday night dinner and we ordered online first. The waitress is so nice and patient. The starters are fine, actually, calamari is tender but a little bit big size per serve. The bruschetta is below average, will not order again. Mains are satisfactory. The salmon is nice cooked and steak did not gone overlooked. The Paella is surprisingly good! The dessert is nice presented but too sweet~~

I went here with a few friends for dinnner last night. We were lucky as I made a late booking yesterday afternoon and we managed to secure a table, thanks very much.
We were initally given a small table but after ordering our meals we were offered a much larger table which was very kind. So as you can tell, the service was exceptional here. All of the wait staff were really friendly and efficient and everything was done with a smile.
Now onto the food. Initally we ordered turkish bread w olive oil and balsamic, followed by turkish bread w 3 dips and bruschetta as we wanted more bread haha
For mains one of us had salmon which was exceptional, chicken parma w chips and salad which was really good, and I had some chicken risotto which was amazingly! My other friend had some potato wedges along w some aracini balls which were really tasty.
I ordered a bottle of rose which was delicious, and for $30 quite reasonable. And everyone enjoyed it haha
QPO is a very reasonable choice for some casual dining w some exceptional service. It can get a bit noisy inside so be prepared for that, so it may not be the best choice for a romantic dinner for 2, lol. And there are tables outside for eating too.
Great place to grab a reasonably priced meal! Chicken risotto was delicious as well as the pizza and wedges. It seemed Iike the place was understaffed. It took a while for our order to be taken but otherwise they were great and always topped up our water for the table. Great for a date!
My dad and I came here for a coffee on Sunday morning 12/2. The staff were very friendly right from the start. We got a table in the area to the left and it was busy but not too loud. The staff were right on us with menus and coffee orders which came back quickly. The coffee was spot so kudos to the Barista. We also ordered fruit/raisin toast which was spot on. The staff were easy going and professional all the time. It was a great way to spend a few hours with dad and catch up.
Stopped past for some recovery breakfast, settled on an amazing pulled pork Eggs Bennie & some bloody Mary's.

Early breakfast today with my girl friend. I ordered the chargrilled broccolini, kale, feta & eggs with dukkah. Requested sourdough instead of multigrain and that's exactly what I got. Soy cap was lovely too!
Good quality pub food, portion is.just right, fresh and memorable tasty dishes. I ordered spaghetti marinara and rissotto, love the freshness and rissotto cooked perfectly. Rating was fair and lovely chill out place for the weekend which i would suggest

It was a beautiful summer day so we sat outside to get some sunshine and fresh air. Although there is no table service outside, staff are still pretty attentive. Ordered the Crumbed Calamari as entree to share, Spaghetti Marinara and Chicken Risotto. Never a fan of having Risotto at restaurants as they often turn out to be texture of baby food. This Chicken Risotto was definitely a pleasant surprise! Food was fresh and delicious! This place was on my bucket list and I'm glad we came.
This is a favourite in Kew! The food is consistently good and great value for money. The food is fairly quick to come out as well. The pizzas are delicious!
Booking on Zomato seemed too smooth, I was waiting for the error to occur. The table for 6 was waiting for us when we arrived, the service staff where attentive. Even when we switched seats within our party, the meals and beverages were delivered to the correct person. It never occurred to me that so many places these days you claim your food and drinks when the service staff come to your table (well that maybe more about the establishments I visit). I had food envy for the mushroom risotto, then for the lamb pizza and then for my own plate calamari salad. Thankfully I was with friends so I tried all the meals, and they all were brilliant no more food envy. We even went back after our event to have coffee and cake and the service staff remembered us (to my shame, their credit). I would highly recommend QPO for dinner before a gig at the Kew Court House.
We came here before a nearby concert and found a pretty laidback standard pub bisto type ambiance (higher than 'barn' feel though), with tasty, yum food - you know when you want decent tasty 'pub food' that's sort of not pub food? Yeah, this place is that. Hot greasy garlicky salty bread, tender tasty lamb shanks and a well cooked steak all hit the spot. Low key and reasonably priced for good quality food.
I went to QPO for dinner last night with my partner. The place was pretty busy and noisy but the service was good. It took a while for the food to come out as we were quite hungry but I think it was acceptable still. The menu is pretty good as there were some specials available. I ordered the Grilled Atlantic Salmon, which cooked perfectly and crispy skill. Very tasty. My partner ordered chicken Parma and it's cooked perfectly too. The portion was very big.
I had a chicken risotto for lunch, it's so delicious. The flavor is very balanced. It's so good, every bite just increases my appetite. No wonder this place is always busy. I really think their food are so competitive and high standard, they need to pass on the compliments to their chef.
I chose the ‘Prawn Risotto with baby spinach and cherry tomatoes ($21.00)’. The risotto consisted of perfectly cooked rice and had a yummy flavour. It was just the ideal size so that I could also try one of their desserts…
Came here for a casual dinner. The food was decent, and the serving sizes were rather generous. We shared a salmon dish, as well as a trio of dips. I loved the dips. It came with a whole heap of lovely, warm turkish bread, which was toasted lightly and had a fantastic crisp. The dips themselves were also delicious. The service was a little unprofessional, though. The waitress who served us seemed lost and got our order wrong. She didn't apologise after we told her she brought out the wrong dish. I'm sure we were just unlucky, because the other waiters seemed fine.

Had a function at QPO; the function rooms were elegant and perfect for the stand-up cocktail occasion. The staff were very friendly and helpful and ensured that the night ran smoothly.
This is one of our favourite restaurants! The staff are friendly and you always feel welcomed. The coffee and food is amazing, especially the Eye fillet Steak, Atlantic Salmon and Lemon Tart. The menu has a broad range of options which is helpful, especially the breakfast until 5pm everyday! Great atmosphere and service!

I've only had coffee and afternoon tea here so I can't sing praises about it's proper menu though for the purpose, it's a good one. Nice winter sunshine with warming foods is enough to keep this part of Kew busy on a Sunday afternoon.
Great food and friendly service. Prices are good and the servings are large. I really enjoy the corn fritters (amazing!!!!) and the grilled atlantic salmon. Last time I was there I noticed they have a function room behind the restaurant and the waiter told me there was one upstairs too - would love to have the chance to take a look!
I always hit up the QPO with family. Food is consistently good and the staff are friendly. Great value for money. Would not hesitate to come back.

I'm surprised this place is not busier. Great location in the historic old Kew Post Office. Menu is quite large and well priced. Service generally prompt and food doesn't take too long to come out.
My favourites are the wood-fired pizzas - the margarita pizza is simple but delicious. Risottos also pretty good.
Qpo Beef Burger. It's like an angel fell from heaven, landed in the QPO'S kitchen, where the chef put it through the meat grinder and made this deliously moist, flavourful burger.
Paid an unexpected visit here (skinny dog closed for functions) with my partner this evening pre-movie at the palace in balwyn and we weren't disappointed. Friendly efficient service, lovely environment, and good reasonably priced food. He had the burger, I had the Asian style beef salad and we shared the turkish bread with oil and balsamic. Yum. Nice Merlot too. Keen to return to try their breakfasts :-)

QPO is a bar, restaurant and function centre, found in an relatively old building, but with a more modern interior. Its style is quite classic, with standard menu options for breakfast such as big breakfasts and avocado smashes. The staff were relatively attentive and polite and the food was decent, however, not particularly special or inventive, but that was reflected in the very reasonable prices. Huge Beef Burger!. Good menu selection to suit all and reasonably priced. It was a nice place to pop into for an early dinner. The beef burger was huge, no disappointment there. Lovely suburb.
Atypical pub style. Have eaten here for lunch quite a while back and more recently for a private dinner function upstairs. As a lunch place, its flat out busy with all the workers in the area, but the food is pretty good, typical pub style dishes and large serves. For the private function, the upstairs space is great, a nice view and for a smaller group, great for mingling as the area is large. The food was good with massive serves that most couldn't finish. Service was also good. Its definitely not fine dining, but I'd happily return.
Top spot. We called in for a quick meal before going to a show nearby and were pleasantly surprised. Great, helpful and prompt service. The waitress recommended my wife try a calamari dish, which was superb, and the pizza I ordered was just as good. It's a top spot for a drink, a snack or a meal and was obviously popular with the other diners.
Excellent party venue. I recently had my 50th birthday party in the upstairs function room at QPO. Andrew and Jess helped me to choose the finger food and drinks options and they were very professional. On the night, the staff and food were excellent and everyone who attended the party have commented on how good it was. I would not hesitate in recommending QPO. Well done.

Excellent service with a smile, food was served up in under 15mins, and delicious food.
I had the gourmet lamb pizza and my friend had the pesto penne.
Fantastic value for money, with generous portion sizes and our mains under $25 pp.
We then shared a dessert, which was superb for $10.
Lovely atmosphere and great location.
Would certainly recommend to any of my friends for a normal meal, special evening or a function.
