Review V Series - Kew

Tiff Leung
Great local cafe/restaurant in Kew, heaps of parking available. Perfect if your friend’s vegan/vegetarian, plenty of options. Almond latte was 👌🏻, food was well presented. Will come back again and try their lunch menu.
Richard Farr
Nice Cafe set just back from the busiest part of Kew Junction. Nice atmosphere, good coffee. Experience getting a take away coffee was a little awkward, the staff are nice enough while not particularly proactive or welcoming. Will come again

Taste was so good. Was surprising on the quinoa and sticky rice, definitely go back to try more dishes. Staff were very nice, highly recommended 👍🏿

Amazingly good cupcakes, hard to believe they aren't made with the same ingredients as regular cupcakes. I find it hard to go anywhere without picking up some of these fabulous treats. I don't get dinner here as often as I'd like, but I never miss a chance for cupcakes!

Top class vegetarian eatery. Presentation of the meal is excellent, as is the taste. The Japanese style food (mainly) is reasonably priced, and the wine although limited, is again not expensive, and served in single-serve bottles. BYO is also permitted. I had the fettuccini with mushrooms, my companion the Eggs Benedict. Both delicious. I highly recommend V Series as lunch spot in Kew, and I will both return here and recommend to friends
Grace Lee
The bento box is really yummy. Their laksa is also good. Love the eating environment, very clean and bright. The staff are also very friendly. Would definitely come back again.

A vegetarian cafe that caters for vegans, gluten intolerant and fructose intolerant souls like me. The owners are Taiwanese so the menu is Asian inspired. Try the Japanese curry rice or the SBJ (three cup chicken but in this case mushroom). No onion or garlic on the menu at all. Super rare to find such delicious curry with no onion or garlic! Very reasonably priced too. I can have this every day.

Fine dining. Friendly services. Yummy dairy free cup cakes. Artistic deserts. Highly recommended for vegans or vegetarians or people who wants to try amazing vegetarian cuisine 😋

Loved the food. The vegan lasagna was great, very filling. Came with salad and vegan cheese on the top. The tofu burger my friend had looked amazing and large. The only thing I thought the soymilk shake was a bit small. Overall I enjoyed my first visit to V Series. I look forward to coming back.
Donna Fowler
Great find! I can’t wait to go back and work my way through the menu. Thanks for providing such great vegan food
Richard Fowler
Great food and service. A new favorite place to dine. The pesto and hazelnut fettuccine was excellent.

Amazing vegetarian food cooked with love. Had the curry, it was to die for. Wow!! This place is seriously amazing.
Sophie Skarbek
Most enjoyable place to share a meal with a friend. Extensive menu, nice wine selection, lovely creamy cakes and most of all very friendly Staff.
Karen Corrie
Love this place. Always beautiful smiling thoughtful staff. Great menu with awesome vegan options. Cupcakes (vegan!) are amazing.
Robert Mangion
We asked for the vegan option but were given poached eggs. I’m sensitive to rancid or instant coffee and it made me nauseated. Other than that the food and dessert was great. Oh, and no soap in the bathroom and they made us move from our reserved table in between the main and dessert.
Lily Hsu
The vegan hash benedict kept me happy for the rest of the day
Alessandra Duci
The guy at the counter is definitely unfriendly, luckily the rest of the staff is helpful. Food is good.
Barbara Duci
I went twice and staff stopped serving food and drinks half an hour before closing time. Disappointed
Katerina Mitrevska
Great food, service and atmosphere ! One of the best vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Melbourne!

Left my phone at home, one of the staff lent me her personal phone so I could go online to find my wife's number and call her. Above and beyond service. Lovely food, staff very accomodating for vegan needs. Will always come back!

Great food for vegans, good service, plenty of parking
Michelle Kline
This is my favourite vegan restaurant in Melbourne for price, quality and service and my partner and I come here often. Also whenever we need a cake for a special occasion this is where I go. Highly recommend the cheesecakes...wow!

We had a lovely meal last night and we will certainly be going back again in the future. The staff were really friendly and efficient, the food was fantastic and the restaurant was bright and clean. I had a vegan green curry from the specials menu and it was beautiful. We had 5 adults, an 11yo and a 3yo in our group and there was something for everyone. Miss 3 was happy with a bowl of chips, the one Vegan in the group was spoilt for choice and he had an entrée, soup, main and dessert! It was great to be able to go out for a meal with a Vegan where they were not struggling to find something to eat. Everyone said how lovely their food was, I just wish it was a little bit closer to home. :)

To start the new year, trying to be good and be healthy! Met up with friends in Kew for a lovely Sunday vegetarian lunch.<br/><br/>I never heard of V Series, but my friend who is Vegetarian says that she comes here once or twice a year when she is back in Melbourne. So I though, wow it must be good. But I found out later its because she know's that this place is a proper vegetarian cafe which gives her good options. <br/><br/>V Series opened in late 2015, so its been in business for just over 4 years serving modern Asian fusion cuisine. I am not too sure why their cafe name is V Series, but a wild guess is V is for vegetarian.<br/><br/>🔆LOCATION🔆<br/><br/>V Series is situated on the side street of Princess Street just off High Street right at the intersection of Studley Park Road, Princess Street and Power Street at the famous Kew Junction. <br/><br/>Parking was a breeze as there is spacious open car park at the back and direct opposite to Woolies car park as well. <br/><br/>The cafe is not very noticeable and external decor was very basic. Entry is to the side and there is alot of natural light inside through the floor to ceiling windows.  There is a nice feature wall at the back with fake green grass and was still decorated with Christmas items.<br/><br/>🔆SERVICE🔆<br/><br/>Service here was a little slow and there were only 4 other tables of customers on a Sunday afternoon.<br/><br/>🔆MENU/PRICE🔆<br/><br/>Zucchini Corn Hotcakes, $18.00<br/>(Avocado, tomato & cucumber salsa topped with green apple & elderflower dressing on zucchini hotcakes)<br/>*Requires 20 minutes<br/><br/>Green Tea Soba Noodle Salad, $18.00<br/>(Organic green tea buckwheat noodles tossed with avocado, cucumber, cranberries, cashew and crispy kale)<br/><br/>Chips (with tomato sauce), $8.00<br/>Iced Matcha Latte, $6.00<br/>Chai Latte , $5.00 <br/>Flat White, $4.50<br/><br/>🔆VERDICT🔆<br/><br/>I was told by my friend that the Green Tea Soba Noodles used to be on the main menu, but for some reason its been moved to the "Special's" board. She had never tried it but her friend always order this dish so she thought she would try it. I also was curious about this dish. Unfortunately it was a total let down. It looked great on the plate but that was about it. The soba noodles was soggy (over-cooked), there was no flavour - it was very bland.  It shouldnt be a special menu item when there is absolutely nothing special about it. <br/><br/>To the credit of the chefs, my zucchini corn hotcakes was made in 15 minutes which was quite good. I felt the presentation was abit messy - shaved green apple piled on top couldnt even see any of the hot cakes. The cucucmber salsa was nice but the zucchni corn hotcake was very soft (soggy) which I didnt really enjoy. <br/><br/>My iced matca latte was a suprise. It came with a scoop of ice cream, matcha powder at the bottom of the glass and matcha powder sprinkled on top with milk. So basically you have to mix it up to get your latte. It kinda felt like I was having a thick shake. I dont think it was worth $6.00 seeing it was in a short glass and not a tall glass.<br/><br/>Overall, an average lunch meal here.
Rebecca N
Very nice staff especially the male manager who even offer to help me to buy flower from nearby shop for my wife on her birthday. We often had lunch there very delicious, many options, price reasonable and the staff always very nice and courteous. Highly recommended!

Come here on Sunday for brunch, place was lovely!<br/>Service was good, place is cozy.<br/>Dessert is very good, with lots of choices.<br/>We ordered Hash Benedict, Tomato soup, Fettuccini, Burger and Bento box.<br/>The bento box was good, especially the nugget ❣️<br/>It was sooooo good, the fettuccini is good as well, with hints of truffle oil. The other dishes was so so, and the tomato soup is not to our liking :(<br/>The coffee and drinks was great!<br/>It was a good dining experience!<br/>Would come back again next time.

Ordered🍚: bento box, curry laksa, cheese and vegetable pancake, turmeric latte and soy latte. <br/><br/>LIT !⭐️: highlights would be the cheese and vegetable pancake. It was so tasty with the teriyaki sauce. The turmeric latte was another favourite- strong in scent! My Aunty loved the curry laksa here and would go back for this. Decor is beautiful and well lit. A great place to catch up! <br/><br/>NOT SO LIT: although the bento box was beautiful, I only liked the nuggets in this, the sweet potato was so cold. Actually the entire bento was quite chilled, so maybe better for hotter days. <br/><br/>Thanks for having us! X

A nice clean and calm place with a teeny tiny cosy outdoor seating area. Walked in not knowing what to expect but going through the menu, they offer very interesting vegan takes on regular meals! Ordered the Bento Box and the Vitamin C juice. The juice was a little too watered down for my liking. The Bento Box arrived and I was really impressed. The presentation makes you feel like a kid again as you just don’t know where to begin! The food was truly good, very tasty, fresh and put together with care. I shared the Bento with my toddler and he loved it too! Am looking forward to trying other dishes offered.

3.5/5<br/>V series restaurant was bright, modern & clean. Service was attentive. Food wise it was average and a bit pricey for what you get. I had the lasagna with green salad which was good. My friends had the okonomiyaki and the stewed tomatoes noodles. We also had their red velvet cupcake, mini sticky date, mini salted caramel & mini cheese cake cupcakes. All were good & moist.

Discovering this cafe on a whim with the location away from the eyes of ordinary individuals wondering around Kew. It is a secret gem and my now go to cafe! <br/>Opting for the Taco halloumi and Crispy Peking bean curd bao it was the correct choices! The bao was beautifully made with perfect crispy bean curd and delightful dakion pickles that freshened the dish. The taco halloumi was also fantastic with a mixture of asian fusion meets Mexico. <br/>To take home with opted for 5 cupcakes and they did not disappoint. Beautifully moist I strongly recommend the lychee and salted Carmel as personal favourites however all are superb. If you are looking for responsibly price wonderful vegetarian food V series is for you! My new favourite vegan spot.
Delicious Doris
A meat eater brought me here because she said the food is so good and I agree! Ambience is calm, service is friendly. Good is so delicious and not greasy. The crispy beancurd steam bun is to die for. Everything we are was delicious. The cupcakes... It's a game changer.

This cafe has a very down-to-earth kind of vibe - partly due to its ambience and location. Although it’s situated right next to a car park, the atmosphere is warm and peaceful. The dishes served (with generous potion) are vegetarian and vegan so you’ll be sure to feel healthy but happy afterwards. The juices and coffee are also great. I like this place 👍

V Series was a restaurant specialising in vegetarian and vegan dishes. They had a rather unique international theme going on, serving pasta/lasagna, Japanese curry/bento box, Mexican tacos and many others. I tried a few of their dishes and loved how fresh and flavourful their ingredients and meals were; creamy mushroomy Alfredo, cheesy crispy-on-the-outside haloumi, deliciously crispy enoki mushroom tempura, and of course, their delectable desserts and cupcakes that could easily compete with their non-vegan counterparts!
Linnie Eats All The Food
Mr & Mrs Tequila were slowly becoming vegan and wanted to catch up over vegan food at V Series located in Kew. This is located right next to a car park so there were plenty of parking. We made a booking for 6:30PM but arrived super early and there wasn’t anyone there yet so we got in, sat down and started ordering.

Revamped ... new name and new operator ...<br/><br/>Prominent corner block, plenty of car park right in front of the cafe ... new operator of the former "A Caterpillar's Dream" and something in between ...<br/><br/>On their latte alone ... at $4.00 for a small takeaway is so disappointing, weak, watery and no character ... Veneziano beans and La Marzocco combo. <br/><br/>Let's see whether their food is better ... as this great revamped is losing credibility with that latte. JT-09/04/2018.

enjoyed a simple brunch consisting of a pumpkin soup and an order of scrambled eggs served with toast and hash browns.<br/>the soup was good, and filling with the several slices of toast on the side. the only thing was that the soup lacked a bit of seasoning I struggled to add salt as their salt shaker was over filled all the salt was a solid block on the inside.<br/>the eggs and toast looked fine, just have seen creamier ones. the only complaint I had was that the hashbrowns were clearly from a frozen packet... hardly worth charging as much as they did to add it on the side.
Madam E The Vegan
Interesting and delicious vegan food. Nice wait staff. The owners have made a pleasant atmosphere as it’s situated in suburbian cafes and two car parks. 10/10 would eat here again.

This place is amazing! Delicious fresh food, nice and quick service, cute clean place and lots of vegan options.<br/>The bento box, lasagne, black sesame latte, salted caramel cupcake and peanut butter cupcake are all great. The lasagne and peanut butter cupcake and the enoki tempura in the bento were the stand outs for me.<br/>I will definitely come here again, gotta bring my vegetarian friend who has onion/garlic allergies here for sure asap! The whole menu is free from onion and garlic which is rare!<br/><br/>Edit: turmeric latte is amazing, okonomiyaki is okay (bit undercooked and it's random that it has vegan prawns in it) and the chips aren't good, just cheap frozen ones with cheap mayo mixed with wasabi.
Plant Based Mum
V Series serves up delicious vegan cupcakes, and even better coffee. The food is always great and there is a lovely atmosphere, highly recommended for mummas in the area. @plantbasedmum_

Oh my!...Why does this place not come up on vegan collections? What a great vegan brekkie/ brunch place.<br/>Loved it.. had the Bento box...spot on and great value.<br/>Service was quick and friendly. Will be back!

Good east meets west Taiwanese fusion cuisine. <br/>Family friendly, plenty of parking and great location next to the shops. Only criticism was too many choices on the menu.
Foodie Panda
Having ordered their food several times from UberEats prior to dining in the restaurant, I was pretty excited to dine here for the first time!<br/><br/>Made a booking for 6 people before coming as it can get extremely crowded during peak dining hours. <br/><br/>We had the bento box set which comes with radish and seaweed soup, mushroom alfredo pasta with truffle oil and shaved parmesan, tomato-based broth noodle soup, mushroom filo pie with cauliflower purée and broccolini, vegetarian lasagna as well as chips for side. The food were exceptionally good and suitable for the dietary requirements of a few of my friends as they are strict vegans.<br/><br/>In terms of service, it was quick and friendly whereas the ambience of the restaurant was warm and cozy. Would visit again someday!<br/><br/>*P.S their 5 for $22 vegan cupcakes are extremely good! <br/>

Nice modern environment. Flat white is a bit watery. Black seaseme latte is a bit hit and miss as the texture of seaseme, despite finely grinded, drag down the smoothness of the latte.<br/>Food is ok, had the truffle omelette and tofu burger. Truffle is not very prominent, the omelette could be lighter. Sesame tofu is nice with the crispy brioche bun.<br/>Service is good. Staffs are friendly and attentative.
Wendy Hung
Great venue, great service. Lovely presentation. Nice bento, salad, juice and taco halloumi is delicious! The Japanese curry don is a shock horror tho! Please take that off the menu.
Syt
Serves vegan meals. Some interesting dishes but some of them taste quite similar and they could do with a bit more variety of taste. They struggle to cope with large groups of people and may forget dishes.
Speccy
For price, EXCELLENT value & delicious, unique & fresh tastes. Recommend going for the more exotic dishes, i.e the vegetable pancake. Was crispy on the outside & moshy in the middle, packed full of sweet (sauce) & savory flavor. Lasagna was nothing special. If you are vegetarian, this place IS wonderment. Muffins & cupcakes look great too. Will defs come back!
Asha Kurup
Incredible vegan cafe! I especially keep coming back for their vegan cupcakes and recently ordered a custom cake from them as well. I showed them a design and they made it work so perfectly! At the party, everyone was raving about the cake and could not believe that there was no egg! Highly recommend getting in early and stealing those cupcakes. And you can't go wrong with their food, everything tastes wonderful.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Melbourne and I have been here many times.<br/><br/>The menu is very well thought out and brilliantly executed. The staff were exceptional, inviting and friendly.<br/><br/>The interior is beautiful, the layout neat and not cluttered. It appears to be quite an upper class restaurant but with affordable prices.<br/><br/>Cannot recommend this place enough. Some of the tastiest food I have ever had.<br/><br/>
Debbie Collins
Great Food for a good price. The teriyaki bento and sweet potato wedges were very well made. Juices are made fresh to order and were also pleasing. The cafe style  environment is clean and the staff are very well mannered and nice.
Madi Vandersluys
Delicious, beautifully presented food with a wide range of options for vegans is well. The service is always excellent with friendly staff and short wait times for food and drinks.
Tamia Nguyen
Although the food is ok, the customer service experience was really bad. Waited nearly an hour for my meal while others that arrived later got theirs first. Wouldn't return again
Maidstone Yana
We love the food there. We had a teriyaki Bento set and three cup chicken with rice. The highlight of the Benton set was the crispy spring roll and deep fried fillet; while three cup chicken was simply delicious, the mushroom has been stewed for hours and the fragrance was so nice. <br/><br/>We will be back for sure.
Wandering Spoon
Discovered this hidden gem through Entertainment book with discount. This vegetarian cafe has variety of choices from small bites, burgers, noodles to bento box with decent prices. Ordered truffle omelette and basil hazelnut pesto spaghetti. Both were delicious, large portion and well presented. Relax ambience with friendly services, genuine smiles from staffs. Its an unpretentious place with interesting menu and honest food. Vegetarian and Entertainment book holders, check this place out!
Teresa.active.foodie
Vegan-friendly cafe with a menu that features your usual cafe-style staples as well as a variety of clever dishes. I had the braised tomato noodles and it was delicious! It was so full of flavour that I was amazed it only contained veggies! Loved it!!
Kristina
Been coming here almost weekly for a few years now with my boyfriend. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they always put a smile on my face. Its so fantastic that there are vegan options for practically everything on the menu, my favourite menu items include the lasagne, tofu burger, green tea soba noodles and all their beautiful cupcakes. Everything is so perfect every time and I always love coming back! 😄
Eat And Be Merry Crew
V Series is a modern Australian take on vegetarian cuisine. The set menu was terrific value and really showcased that vegetarian food need not be boring. Vegans will be well catered for here. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
The Girl With Blue Hair
We need more cruelty free restaurants like this! We had the Rock & Rolls and Hash Benedict. The crew at V Series is serious and passionate about their food and it shows. The tempura was a little bit too salty for my liking. Otherwise, both dish are very delicious. The service is attentive and efficient. It's a shame I didn't have time in to try their vegan cupcakes. I was eyeing the lychee cupcake for the whole time but was in a hurry to go. Will definitely come back again.
Lushious
wow factor 10 - very impressed! Convinced my work mates to go for a vegetarian lunch and to my delight they loved it and think i may've converted them to at least being open to trying more things next time, and there will be a next time! We had the Cheese & Vege Pancake & salad, the Hand Cut Sweet Potato Wedges; soooo delicious with a slightly sweet coating, the Rice Paper rolls, so light with fresh herbs & best I've ever had! We also had the "Rock and Rolls" most delish sesame coated tofu squares with yummy crispy mushrooms or onions mmmmmm. Restaurant was very busy with lots of peeps eating delish looking breakfasts,  the Hash Benedict on menu sounded and looks divine. Really impressed, that's why i'm writing this review - oh also the cupcakes - Vegan and soooo soft and fresh, make a perfect gift! I'm just having the sticky date cupcake with a cup of tea as I write this...... do yourself a favor you will not be disappointed. By the way we did take away, everything was packaged in great recyclable boxes, excellent service by super friendly staff, the place is clean and green!
I S2 Food
Vegan cafe? This face :/ for us carnivores<br/><br/>Was in Kew and found this cafe on the Entertainment Book. Thought we give it a try since it was easy to find car park space at basement car park Safeway. <br/><br/>Overall we really enjoyed the experience, food was made very well and it was very fresh and surprisingly tasty. <br/><br/>We left eating more then we do usually as there was a discount from the book, but we didn't feel disgusted after over eating ar food was nice and light. <br/><br/>The lycee vegan cup cake was really refreshing too. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Pic 1-

We finished the night with a couple of desserts. The ‘Mille-Feuille – puff pastry with custard cream and mixed berries’ was luscious. We were very full at this stage but were absolutely delighted with the ‘Roasted Coconut Panna Cotta – served with tropical fruits and fairy floss’.

Perfection of the V-Series standard is an extremely rare thing. I have visited no café more this year than V-Series and cannot recommend it enough.<br/>As a vegan, I am ecstatic at the vast variety of options they have available. All kinds of delicious breakfast and lunch options which are extremely tasty and largely proportioned as well as reasonably priced. Their zucchini hotcakes are a flawless mix of sweet and savoury and their coffees are very nice. They also offer the coffee club deal which is nice. On top of it all, they have a bakery section full of vegan cupcakes of all different flavours. They taste amazing yet also very light. The service people are also very lovely.<br/>I attend V-Series with my grandparents frequently. Despite not being vegan, it is their favourite local café and cupcake place. V-Series is the pinnacle of all eateries in Kew.
The Fo0die
Hidden behind Leo's supermarket from the main road, the cafe has floor to ceiling glass windows at the front, overlooking the supermarket carpark. Parking is for 2 hours with additional 2 hour parking space available just across from the supermarket parking on Brougham Street.<br/><br/>V Series was previously known to locals as 'A Caterpillar's Dream' and under new management, the same management/family as Tao's Restaurant in Bulleen, it has now become V Series with the same head chef. The cafe like the previous cafe still serves contemporary vegetarian food with vegan and gluten free options.<br/><br/>When we arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday, the supermarket parking was very full so we drove through to the car park on Brougham Street. The cafe itself was reasonably calm and having tried the food, I am a little surprised that was the case. The menu itself, I must admit was a little overwhelming with a mish mash of cuisines and types of food available; meaning there's basically something for everyone on the menu (a great place to cater for a group with different preferences). Instead of the usual vegetarian breakfast items or pasta and burger (next time perhaps!), we opted to try a few dishes from their noodle, bento and small items menu which clearly had an Asian influence to them. <br/><br/>Dishes that make up this review:<br/><br/>Stewed tomato noodles (vegan); V Series's signature Taiwanese tomato broth noodle ($16). Extremely appetising with the sweet and a little sour broth.<br/><br/>Bento box (vegan); teriyaki mock chicken served with multigrain rice, spring roll, enoki tempura and pumpkin salad ($18). I wasn't a huge fan of the multigrain rice (perhaps a little too healthy for me hehe...) but the variety and the rest of the bento was delicious. Not normally being a fan of mock meat, I actually did enjoy this and found it to be as close to the real thing as it can be in flavour but not in texture.<br/><br/>Green tea soba noodle (vegan); organic Japanese green tea buck wheat noodles tossed with avocado, spinach, kale, goji berries, cashew and sesame seeds ($16). A cold dish with a nice sesame dressing and fresh salad. I didn't personally love the goji berries in the mix (they kind of stick to your teeth) but that aside, I enjoyed the dish and probably will request no goji berries next time.<br/><br/>Crispy peking bean curd bun (vegan); Asian style steamed bun stuffed with daikon pickles, cucumber, coriander and peanuts ($10 for 2). The bun was nice and soft even once cooled down (after all the photo taking), the bean curd was crispy and the Peking sauce was delicious. A great combination that surprisingly works.<br/><br/>Vegan cupcakes; salted caramel and cheesecake ($5.50 for regular sized and $2.80 for mini). The cheesecake cupcake was definitely a first for me and probably my favourite of the two (I could not tell the difference between the real thing versus vegan). The salted caramel cupcake on the other hand while still tasty and moist, I could tell the texture of the chocolate cupcake was not exactly the same as its non-vegan counterpart.<br/><br/>The Fo0die dined as a guest of V Series. Therefore this review has not covered the customer service aspect of the cafe.<br/><br/>Follow me on Instagram for more photos: @fo0die

Bought some vegan cupcakes for myself and the kids to bring to a party - lychee, cookies and cream, berry and cheesecake. Moist and lovely.

This is a little gem in Kew junction we find ourselves returning time and again for more delicious vegan food. The staffs are friendly and delightful and the restaurant has a warm and inviting feel. I had spaghetti with basil and hazelnut pesto tonight. The pasta is fantastic, it tastes great and has the best texture. We love the steam bun and rice paper roll too. Awaiting an expanded dessert menu.<br/>
Emma
Food was awesome, my girlfriend and I both had the vegan teriyaki chicken bento box. Been too long since I ate real chicken to say if it was realistic but it definitely tasted good. The cupcakes are all vegan as well, the salted caramel one was 👌👌
Gastrology
V Series Café pleases with vegetarian delights alongside vegan options which are hearty and smacked full of flavour. . The menu is dedicated to fresh produce with a focus on flavour with dishes that respectfully combine Western and East Asian flavour profiles to great effect. To start, the vegan steam buns impressed with beautifully made "pork belly" tofu, pickled cabbage, cucumber, peanuts, coriander all encased within fluffy steamed buns. We loved the 3 layered "pork belly" tofu which featured a tender but rigid "meat layer" a softer "fat layer" and a more elastic "skin". It was a very clever and absolutely moreish use of tofu which resulted in a delightful vegetarian bao that would appeal to even the most carnivorous individuals.

Finding vego food is not as hard as you thought it used to be nowadays but a good one is another story. Recently discovered V Series through a friend and after visiting only then realised their part of Tao restaurant in Bulleen. No wonder these vego dishes can be so modern and delicious! Definitely a place that I would also recommend to people and back again!
Ua Au
This restaurant actually closes it's kitchen early, making the open hours unreliable. <br/>The lunch menu is ok, but the dinner menu is very disappointing.
FOOD TRIP
V Series Cafe creates a welcoming and modern dining environment perfect for the more health conscious demographic. Their Asian inspired dishes are not only healthy and delicious, but also flexible enough to cater for both vegetarian and vegan consumers. Every dish was beautifully presently with lots of attention to detail. Nutritious and satisfying. Their vegan cupcakes are the best I’ve had. Would definitely recommend.
Eatwithhendri
A vegetarian cafe with a bit of everything from the typical western brunch to the oriental style of snacks like rice paper roll, the famous gua bao etc. For me it's kind of good idea to cater different type of craving. Truffle omelette needs more seasoning and was too thin for an omelette. Pumpkin soup was bland too. However the gua bao and rice paper roll was the best i have ever tasted. Service was friendly too.

Went here on Monday with Lips Temptations (she was invited) and the food was out of my expectation! They serve delicious food for vegetarian and vegans. I'm not a fully vegetarian or vegan but when it comes to brunch i love to eat healthy stuff yet delicious, and this is the right place to go! Love the arancini balls and benedict! Not to mention the service, they were very friendly! Highly recommended. Definitely will come back to dine here.
Goji
Had a mushroom burger, I like their homemade beetroot bun, they put a whole giant flat mushroom. A very big serve for me and I enjoyed it very much.
Jessica
Tried all three burgers (tofu, mushroom and rice) , two bento boxes, the shallow fried dumplings and a variety of drinks. Quite a nice all vego cafe with a beautiful clean environment. However, the food is just plain vegetarian food. The dumplings were plain, the sauce on top tasted so sweet it was like salted caramel. The rice burger was similar to 2 pesto arancini balls acting as the bun. Interesting flavours. The mushroom burger was plain, needed a bit of seasoning. The tofu burger was really sweet. The bento box lacked flavour, everything was very greasy and the dipping sauce was too sweet for my liking
EatWithJohn
As always a great experience when visiting for brunch. Atmosphere is lit up and food is mostly superb. They recently changed their management and name so the menu has shifted slightly but with that being said, the food and staff know how to do their job. One thing I'd highly recommend is the Seasoned Sweet Potatoe/Taro Entrée, amazing..ordered at every visit and still don't get sick of it!
Travelling Palate
I've only tried the coffee here but am pleased to report it's good. This little gem is tucked away off the main portion of Kew Junction and is located in the Leo's carpark. A lovely vegetarian cafe with many vegan options. The cupcake selection looks amazing and proves you don't have to consume animal products for delicious food. I look forward to trying the sandwich and cake selection soon.<br/>Edit: since the above trip I have been back several times and have loved every visit! Meals are delicious and tasty, even impressing Mr eatanddrinkwellandbemerry- a true carnivore!

Great vegetarian food! There are not many good vegetarian cafes and restaurants. This is one of the better ones. Service and food are good. We go there regularly to eat and haven't yet been disappointed.

Was excited to try this place, but it was pretty disappointing.<br/>I got the rice burger take-away. When it arrived after a 15-20 minute wait, the burger was all broken up and thrown about in the bag it came in. Strikes one and two.<br/><br/>The chips were alright, but you'd get better at McDonalds, taste wise.<br/>The burger was quite bland, and really messy, which became a nuisance as we weren't given any serviettes.<br/>Strike three.

I had a really great experience here. <br/>•the prices are VERY reasonable<br/>•the menu is unpretentious and ethical, but also has enough variety to find something for everyone.<br/>•All the food was tasty and didn't have a long wait time.<br/>•the service was warm and friendly, but could be improved upon in time it took to get our menus/water and clearing the table. <br/>•make sure you leave room for sweets, the vegan cupcakes will have you in heaven.

Highly recommended must try Vegetarian restaurant. Modern and well presented dishes. Mushroom pasta has a rich texture and very tasty, must come back to try their deserts!

Great place, I didn't even realise this was a vegan-friendly café/restaurant till I searched google.Theres a selection of vegan, vegetarian and meat options, both in the window and menu items. For the vegan's out there, this place has a very good menu selection which also includes a very big variety of cupcakes and petit fours (vegan desserts!)This is a must-visit for the vegan/vegetarian community

Use to be my fav joint when used to be caterpillars dream. Still is my fav joint after rebranding to V Series! Food quality is still at its best, never seem to disappoint with their friendly customer service. Old time fav dishes such as big breakfast and dumplings are retained, yet with new exciting dishes such as vegan benedict and vegan hotcakes is a must try! Eventhough im not a vegetarian, this place is still worth a go!

Saturday morning and the Chan fam was in need of food. Mum had heard of a vegetarian cafe in Kew suggested by her friends and I had a thirst for something other than hip trendy (expensive) cafes, so off we went. . The coffee was standard for Kew (sorry for being a coffe snob) – not alluring rich and earthy, but pleasant and smooth (and photogenic!).
