Review Chon Gaew Thai Restaurant - Kew

We had a great dinner there. The staff were really friendly and very attentive and accommodating. The food was great with the touch of spice that we love and makes Thai dishes so special. Generally it may be a touch more expensive than some other Thai restaurants we've been to recently, but the quality of the food and taste was definitely worth it. The curry was so good we ordered another. We'll be back soon. Highly recommend.

Entrees were very average, the standard frozen variety (good for frozen one's at least), but the main was very disappointing and arrived at the same time as the entrees. Ordered crispy chicken Thai basil stir fry and the chicken came out soft and rubbery, though the flavour of the sauce was good. We attempted to provide polite and constructive feedback but it was met with a very rude response by one of the staff members. The girl who served us was very friendly and polite, however her English speaking level made it difficult to communicate.

Been twice in the last month and a half. Food and service excellent value. The best things on menu imo are green Thai curry, and the red prawn curry both come in a pot over a candle with lots of tasty source which with steamed rice is a delight. You can order for take away also but I am yet to try that.

Good food and good upbeat service. Our only complaint was with the Satay, it was not breast of chicken and a bit chewy. The old restaurant, Erewan, was a bit jaded before it closed and this is a huge improvement. Good job and keep it up!

Highly recommend the Chu Chee Curry (Hot). Absolutely delicious! Fragrant, fresh and very enjoyable.

The thai green curry was delicious. Will be returning here

The pineapple fried rice was tasty and the service was quick
