Very good for coeliacs, the kitchen is properly segregated to prevent cross-contamination, there are plenty of GF choices, the staff are aware and they have several GF beers as well...
A catch up and a table of 10 - I had the mac and cheese steak sandwich - was pretty impressive and cooked really well. Tried the Kona beer as well, a great spot....
Having had a most enjoyable meal at the Kewdale Tavern previously and revelling in the fact that everything can be gluten free and 'safe', we brought our family there to celebrate Mother's Day. Everyone enjoyed their meal, including the grandkids, My Lambshanks were perfectly delicious and everyone agreed they would return to experience more of the menu. The waiters were friendly and ready for a laugh and were very helpful. We can happily recommend the Kewdale Tavern. By the way, the cakes are gluten free and food we don't usually have access to.

Amazing! Been here on a number of occasions and have never been let down. The Pad Thai is to die for. Great variety on the menu and very kid friendly. Especially when they can eat for free.

Food was simple and tasty (with a few 'fancier' meals on the menu also) waiters we're attentive and friendly and drinks were reasonably priced.

I love eating here, the food is very good and very reasonably priced. Wether its a counter lunch or in the restaurant. The staff are very friendly and offer great service, Definitely in my top 10 haunts to eat at in Perth
The barman recommended the laksa which was only $15 ( cheapest on the menu) and it was great. Just the right amount of spice lots of chicken and the right size for lunch. Nice clean hotel with great service and clean tidy toilets.
Happy coeliac. I took my family for dinner yesterday and was amazed at the selection and quality of the food. There was only one girl serving and she was friendly, very helpful and answered all my gluten questions (very important because both my daughters have coeliacs). The food arrived pretty quickly, hot, ALL AT THE SAME TIME and looked great. My husband has very high standards when it comes to seafood but thought the squid was excellent. My goats cheese tart was moist and delicious. My girls loved their burger and roast beef selections. The menu looked awesome and for once we were spoiled for choice when it came to GF selections.Looking forward to making it our weekly treat. Oh, and the tap beer and cider we had were delicious.
Do yourself a favour and check this place out.
Great. In my gluten free element!!. I've read a number of the reviews...all quite spaced out and TBH I suspect people who are 'disgusted' cannot grasp the fact that sometimes pubs/restaurants have bad days or even so many staff away they have fill-ins. Having worked in hospitality I know this to be the case.
We went to the Kewdale this evening ....been meaning to go for a long time given the gluten free range and what we have heard from locals. I didn't expect more than pub grub....but at least I could eat. WELL !! We had the best meal we've had in ages. The scallops entree was to die for flavour wise!!! We had the gluten free turkish bread and dukkah....LOVED it. In fact dipping the bread in the scallop juice was also lovely :)
I had fish and chips...yay, gluten free battered fish! Perfect!!
The pork belly my husband had...PERFECT. Right down to the crispy crackling even!!

This place is great for coeliac sufferers, they are very gluten free aware with markers on the menu so you know what you can eat. The chips were brilliant and the service was good. Yum.
Great food!. Went to the Kewdale for a family birthday and was very impressed. Generous helpings, chicken was cooked to perfection, and they had heaps of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. Will definitely be recommending.

My new favorite pub..awesome atmosphere awesome staff but bar foodies so far have been crap. So far I have tried the calamari which wad crap and now I ordered fries and they are also bad. But I still love this place and will be writing another review after trying some mains..I have my fingers crossed!

Great pub, great staff, consistently good food for a pub meal you may need to drive more than 10 mins to get to.
Excellent specials on certain week nights (ribs and steak -yum).
Really enjoyable. We chose it as a whim on Friday night. When we got there it was very noisy with after work drinks happening everywhere. Oh dear. But we headed through to the cafe/restaurant and the noise installs died right down. Wait staff were fantastically pleasant and friendly.
Meal was superb, menu not too huge but our choices were all delicious. Entree of garlic bread and coconut prawns. Mains of vegetarian risotto, Mexican parmigiana and Beef Wellington. Sadly too full to dessert. Next time I'm starting at the desserts to try that lava cake on the menu!

My brother suggested the Kewdale Tav as a close location to the international airport for dinner - we were seeing off my parents. I prepared myself for a bogan experience, not to dissimilar to many growing up in Mandurah, but when we arrived I was impressed.
The Kewdale has clearly been reno'd, the beer selection is impressive, and the menu, although with some rather overpriced options (even for Perth) had decent food at a reasonable price.
There's TVs everywhere and the volume a little too loud that if you're not watching it, it's annoying - fitting with a sports bar style. Great if you're there for a game though. There's a small restaurant area though however it was booked out for a 21st - which reminds me - book ahead.
I had half a boneless chicken, portugese style, with chocolate and chilli jus, an orange salad and a corn frittata off to the side - for about $28. It was fabulous.
I'd recommend if you live in the area, or if you want a meal before heading out to the international airport.
Nice pub that serves basic yumi pub food just don't have the fish and chips the fish was bluk!! Will go back and try the chicken parma it looked deluxe
Have been a few times & always leave happy. Nice quiet little spot tucked away. Hubby has his usual (steak) which he always loves. I often have the fish (whiting) & chips which is delicious!

Sunday Lunch 30/01/11. Having tried all the other local pub fare and being unimpressed we decided to try the newly refurbished Kewdale Tavern. Having not great expectations - the beautiful renovated exterior was very welcoming.
The restaurant side of the tavern seems like a restaurant, good quality chairs, cutlery, polished glassware, well decorated. For a Sunday it was relatively quiet, the tavern/pub ajoining the 'restaurant' had pool tables, large screens etc.
We ordered duck and ginger spring rolls at $8- they were exceptional, handmade and the accompanying sauce was delectable!
For mains we ordered the T-Bone ($35) and Chicken Parmigiana - both meals provided cruncky chips and a dressed side salad. The chicken was moist, not stringy and overcooked, the T-Bone had wonderful cross hatched grill, slightly over on the edges but perfect in the middle. massive serves! I think the Chicken was a $10 Sunday special.
We ordered a Lemon Tart ($8) for dessert. the pastry was pretty disappointing, soft and tasteless. the lemon was lovely and the berry sauce was a perfect accompliment.
Will definitely be back!
Nice pub with friendly, helpful staff. Good value tasty food and cheap drinks. Their $9 pint of cider is one of the nicest we have tried and represents great value. Unfortunately covid restrictions meant the pool table was not allowed to be used but the $15 chicken Parmigiana was delicious and great value. Nice atmosphere and a pleasant visit. We will be back.
Helpful staff, large range of tap beers with regular beer specials ( $8 pints ) with huge screen for sports with multiple other screens, large outdoor area & great food - refer website for specials.
We had the pleasure of just eating at the Kewdale tavern whilst on a stop over in Perth. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere inside the pub was great. Well done . Can't wait to come back
Amazing place offering a great range of food (and beer). Prices are fair and meals were a great size. Relaxed atmosphere with entertainment for the kids. Great venue to catch up with family and friends.

All of our dishes tasted great. 🙌 Even the kids meals were delicious and I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the kids pasta dish 😄
We had the Garlic bread as our entreé, which came with four large slices of bread that was perfectly garlicy. The steak with roasted vegetables with garlic sauce and prawns, The fish of the day (which was salmon) and two kids meals which where Fish and Chips and The Garlic Bread and Pasta for our main meal. The kids also had ice creams with chocolate sauce and sprinkles 🍨
The waitress was also so lovely, she was very quick to take our orders and was very friendly. They also were very onto taking our empty plates.
The only thing I would want is for them to bring back the sticky date puddings, because they were amazing! 🥰🙊
Had been recommended to come here as my daughter is coeliac and it didn't disappoint. My daughter was so happy to have GF chicken nuggets and chips that were so delicious. We had a large group and everyone was very pleased with their food with special mention of the ribs and the sesame squid.
