Great place to take the dog. Food is consistent and well priced. Staff are always polite and friendly. Have been a regular now for a few months!
This is a great place to go on a sunny day! We went a couple of Saturdays ago and had brunch with the kids. Great prices, good food and a lovely setting. We had eggs, big breaky, pancakes and drinks. No complaints at all. We suggest you wander around the lake too. A lovely way to spend an hour or too.
Great friendly little coffee place. They have nice tasty coffee and terrific food. The prices are very good. I love the way that they treat you and are very helpful. Would definately recommend this cafe. Thanks to all staff
Great little Cafe, went there on a Saturday, took the dog. Cheap as chips and on that try the chips, love a good crunchy chip. This is not a fancy place, family oriented with food to match, hotdogs and burgers etc, take cash as well as there is no EFTPOS.
Wonderful family-oriented local cafe in a beautiful location. They make an effort to know and remember regular customers, and delight in watching our children grow up and other milestones. Run by a family, I really appreciate that they close two days a week and also for a month in winter - what a fantastic role model to our kids, to see that being good parents and taking time out to renew themselves is more valuable than being a slave to endless profit. The food is not spectacular but it is priced accordingly and it is a relief to have somewhere lovely to eat without having to pay for top-dollar food.
Great little cafe right by the kids playground at Tomato Lake. Food is cheap and cheerful; no better than stuff that you could make at home but priced accordingly too. This place gets very busy for breakfast at the weekend because it is so well priced - bacon, eggs and toast is $8 or $9 and it is a good sized serve too. Great for brekky with family. The only real downfall is that despite being next to a big playground, they do not have any high chairs.
Great location and value. Very well priced breakfast at a great location.
Chicken Mushroom Pasta. Very flavoursome
Lovely! Nice food and service with a beautiful outlook to the lake. Great for kids (playground right near the cafe) and dogs too. I'll probably always remember it for my french bulldog getting free from his harness and running around like a crazy person after him
Regular Sunday breakfast haunt for my family. Cheap, family friendly and good food. Avoid the pancakes if you want a decent feed, teeny tiny portion, wasn't even enough for my 2 year old!
Love this place, friendly staff and always a great breakfast.
This place is cheap, has great food, wonderful service and is family and dog friendly. I also have to admit it's pretty amazing the morning after a big night! Not remotely fine dining - but possibly my favourite place to eat in Perth.
A great dog friendly cafe. A lovely, unpretensious cafe in the park. Some of the best value meals around, good food at a reasonable price, friendly staff, wonderful location. What more could you ask for.
Since Danny and Jo took this place over they have transformed it from a dusty hole with a few very tired Mrs Macs pies in the warmer, to a bustling cafe consistantly serving good food at a reasonable price. Well Done.
O&J Ashboth. It never ceases to amazes me how this small kiosk can turn out such good food at such a cheep price and it is always friendly and quick serves. It is defiantly a favourite.
We've been going there for ages and have always found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food is varied, delicious and great value. They have a coffee loyalty card - so you can earn stamps towards a free cuppa A perfect setting, pet friendly, great meals and a walk in the park to visit the ducks too.
Cheap brekky in the park. This is a little family run cafe that sits on the edge of Tomato Lake Park. There's a covered seating area with about 4 or 5 tables, and the rest of the tables are scattered around the uncovered area. There's also a playground about a stones throw from the café.
Been here for a late breakfast a couple of times. Nothing on the menu is much over $10. They serve an all day breakfast and also have sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, a few cakes and other park cafe style food and drinks (coffee, milkshakes, ice cream, etc).
The food isn't overly impressive but if you want to have a nice cheap meal or a coffee in the park it's a great little spot. The full breakfast comes with bacon, eggs, toast and tomato and is $9, and extras like hash browns and mushrooms can be added for $1 or $2. It's a little greasy but nice and filling - like what you might make at home. They make a pretty good hazelnut latte, but I would avoid the artificially flavoured banana milkshake.
It gets pretty busy when the weather is good but I've always been able to find a table without waiting (lots of people coming and going).
They are closed for the month August for a winter break but reopen at the beginning of September. Good place to visit on the weekend if you live in the area and don't feel like cooking but don't want anything too expensive or fancy.
