Review Kilmore Fish And Chips - Kilmore

Sandy-Lee Flowers
I went back here for the second time by request at the end of July 2021. My Mother had her birthday, all she wanted was to go back to Kilmore Fish and Chips for her birthday, nothing else. My Mother has been to a lot of fish and chip shops over the last nine decades in a lot of Australian States, she said that this is the, and I quote “Best Fish and Chips in Australia “, so what else can I say except that I agree. Menu: Good selection of fresh fish and chips plus other seafood, burgers and salads. There is packs on the menu. We had the barra and it is huge. Price: For two pieces of fish, minimum chips, pickled onion x 2 and sauce I got change out of $25. The fish was that big that we are one piece of fish between the two of us and had the other the next day. Service: Extremely nice and polite, easy to talk to and communicate with. They pack your fish very well and it stays hot, I mean hot. Parking: There is some parking at the back of the shop. When it's not raining and no Covid restrictions, there is a nice park over and just down the street, it would be nice to eat at. The fish and chips here, we're worth driving from Melbourne to have, but if you are passing through or staying at Kilmore, stop, visit them and I I'm guessing that you will enjoy it as much as we did. Remember: “Best Fish and Chips in Australia “

Best flake and chips we have dined on for years, fish freshly battered, perfect crispy batter with no trace of oilyness, great chips served with no fuss and great courtesy!! Will not miss next time we pass!

Chips yellow dry and horrible, potato cakes well overcooked and hard and dry, the fish was thick and edible once you remove the horrible batter, won't be going back

Yummy fish and chips but the lamb souvlarki is the best. Now that it's dark at 6pm, the back Carpark is not lit up enough. The ground is uneven so I'm worried I'll fall. You may be losing other business because of this.
