Great place for coffee, cakes, focaccia, pub type meals, ice creams ,etc etc. The place to be for Sunday lunch after the market. In case the pizza van has run out over at the hotel.
Excellent food and service in a very pleasant rural setting. The burger for $16 was great value.
What a gorgeous little township nestled in Noosa hinterland rainforest. Attached to this store is the Black Ant Cafe...great coffee and cakes and treats...definately be taking the 'back road' to Noosa again!!

On route to Rainbow Beach we wanted to find a nice location for a Sunday lunch... & Eumundi just wasn't cutting it.
So we randomly looked up on the map what places where nearby & slightly off the beaten track.
We were very thankful we chose this place. Great food, location & incredible staff. The whole experience was an absolute delight.
I would highly recommend making the small diversion to this place when in the area.
The only negative we had was that we were so taken by it, that we instantly recommended it to friends / family... who go to Rainbow to their holiday let.
To thank them for letting us use their home, we decided to try & buy a $100 voucher for the restaurant. So they too could enjoy the place when they were next on-route to Rainbow.
When we returned to the restaurant, on route to the Gold Coast to try & do this. The woman who appeared to be in charge / proprietor wouldn't sell us a redeemable voucher with more than 6 months validity. And as we had no idea when our family friends would make it back this way we were reluctant to purchase one for anything less than one year.
She was though intransigent on this matter & barely turned her back to acknowledge us throughout this brief discussion.
It was a stain on an otherwise wonderful experience.
Food was delicious staff were very friendly. Had the Beef Brisket Burger and the Kombucha were both great.
Great coffee and friendly service, in a very pleasant place to sit and read the paper it watch the world go by. They also have a large selection of cakes, snack and ice cream, many of which are gluten-free. A range of pantry staples, too. I can see why this place has so many great reviews!
At our wedding, Pat & I chose to have a grazing table for our guests after our ceremony and a buffet style dinner for our reception meal. All of our catering was done through Black Ant Gourmet and we cannot recommend them enough!
The food was presented so beautifully and tasted incredible! We received so many compliments from our guests on how excellent our caterers were and how delicious all of the food was.
The pricing was very reasonable and results surpassed our expectations.
My bridesmaids came to me during the night with beaming faces to tell me that when they entered the reception area to turn on all of the fairy lights and set-up the cake and cupcakes onto the cake table the caterers had already taken care of it! Jodie and her team certainly went over and beyond for us.

Always delivers. Had the calamari and salad. The salad was absolutely perfect. Great balance of flavours. New way to use pickled ginger YUM!
