My family loves this restaurant.
Yummy food & great service.
Best bakso goreng!
Still setting the standards of noodles. Again.
And DAT FRIED MEATBALLS OMG.
#baksogoreng #ftw
I've eaten here a few times. I find the main difference to be the interior space which is large and comfortable. Usually there aren't too many other diners inside but on weekends, it can get busy and when it gets busy it does take a while for the dishes to come out.
I've tried the Bakso Goreng and the noodles with chicken and mushroom with various options for noodles such as thick, thin or rice noodle. The noodles were fresh and there is a sense of home-cooking in the dishes with a simpler and less salty flavour. The Bakso Goreng was also very tasty and I liked the soft texture of the pork inside the crispy exterior. I've also liked the soup that goes with the set.
The service has been alright. During the weekends it can get busy and so it's difficult sometimes to make payment, which is supposed to be done at the table. Prices here are a little high compared to other Kingsford outlets but still reasonable and the difference is going towards perhaps the more spacious feeling and high ceiling inside as well as the facilities such as a child-play area. Unfortunately, I tried to visit again recently and found that it's closed for now.
Nice quick food! They have a children play area! Highly recommend family with young kids. Adults can enjoy the food without kids running around the restaurant!
Like someone else said, I'd probably make Pinang Bistro my fallback if I couldn't get into Ayam Goreng 99. Or if I was eating with people who wanted a less cramped noisy experience than AG99. Food was all pretty good. Service was friendly and brisk from the owner, but not so great from the rest of the staff
I came here twice for the javanese style fried noodle, i really like that taste (sweet) maybe i need to come back and try for another dishes they have. Currently I'm love with that fried noodle
With bigger floor space, this restaurant has gone from strength to strength. Food is generally good here and the service is not bad either.
We love their noodle dishes, kuetiaw goreng aka Char Kuay Teaw. Their Bakso Goreng is very popular but not really our thing.
Bottomline : Good food. Good service. Good Value.
Say hello to indonesian food. Love their mega noodle it's the best ever with chixken, pork, wonton, fish ball, meat ball. For the nasi kuning (yellow rice) there's so many side dishes like prawn crackers, beef rendang, fried chicken (ayam goreng), etc.
Had the yellow rice complete. Really good although the rendang was probably cooked last weekend. Friend had the mega noodles and loved it but couldn't finish.

Our old favourite Pingansia Noodle House is reincarnated as Pinang Bistro in Kingsford. Pinangsia Noodle House in Kingsford was one of the places that inspired us to start this blog, it was where we discovered we could get Indonesian chicken noodles in Sydney, one of our favourite street food finds from a Jakarta trip years ago. Alas Pingansia Noodle House closed but the same folks started Pingang Bistro some time ago. The new digs are pretty flash compared to the old spot: it's spacious with high ceilings and there's even a kiddie play area at the front. We miss the crowded hullabaloo of their old hole-in-the-wall restaurant, though we don't mind the extra elbow room in the new one. Nasi Kuning Komplit - $15 . Yellow rice flavoured with tumeric with a bit of everything: beef rendang, fried chicken, tofu and lovely mystery crunchy bits. Mie karat ayam jamur - $8.80 . Our ye olde favourite of yellow chicken flavoured noodles with chicken and mushrooms on top, soup on the side. It's great but we're can't agree if reaches the lofty heights of the version at their Pinangsia Noodle restaurant. Shawn reckons the noodles don't quite have that same buttery magic. Alison reckons the noodles are just as good and Shawn's brain took a wrong turn down memory lane.
Great Indonesian Food. Definitely a delicious place to dine at kingsford. A must when you're in the kingsford area.
Great atmosphere and service

One of my favourite Indonesian restaurant for their noodle and especially the famous 'Bakso Goreng' or Fried Pork Meatball. They used to be called Pinangsia Noodle, but they moved to a bigger spot and rename the place Pinang Bistro. They serve a similar menu as before just with some addition to the dishes and increased in price ;p The new place is child friendly, how generous of them for using this space for kids area! The restaurant is always crowded during the weekend especially after church hour, most Indonesian will come here for gathering bringing their kids along, so a perfect place to let them be :) The new place also is very spacious! The design are simple and modern. They used to have like a corner station for all the chilli sauce and other condiments, but now, they have this handy small bowl of three consisting of the three different types of chillies for you. Yes, Indonesian can't eat without their chilli hehe To start with, the Fried Pork Meatball! This is the one that you
Tonight we decided to go to our all time favourite local restaurant Pinang Bistro.
Tonight hubby and I shared the Lontong Sayur and Satay. Their style of cooking is truly authentic, with the spices in every mouthful. Fresh curry is simply delicious. The satay and sauce were generous and reminded me of dining in Asia. I will also highly recommend their bakmie(chicken noodles). The menu is guided by description and photos, so you really can't go wrong ordering here. To end our meal, we were offered complimentary dessert - yum!
There is always a warmth and friendliness whenever we visit this restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality. We will be back - as always!
LOVE IT. I love this Indonesian restaurant in Kingsford. They just renovated the place and it is bigger and has kiddy areas. The food as per usual, GREAT. The price is really affordable. I went there today and had 2 noodles with a beer and an ice tea and it costs me $32.
The service was FANTASTIC. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.
All and all I am really happy and will def come back
Relieved!. As a longtime 'pinangsia noodle' regular of 10 years. After they closed down I was extremely concerned since there is NOWHERE that makes my bakmi like these guys..
woohoo! they're back!! really love the bigger place, kids area and the simple straight up, cheap as chips, indo goodness
nice one!!
Thank God for a (finally) game-changing restaurant in Kingsford! Try their bakso goreng (fried meatballs) with their mean nasi goreng - and I mean, MEAN.
Def's coming baccckkkkk omg
The staff are friendly. The noodles, meatball are good.
The restaurant is spacious and not noisy. Perfect to bring clients. My husband enjoys the desert.
Thank you for the great service.
Great food and child friendly restaurant, spacious and clean place makes this restaurant a perfect place to have an enjoyable meal while the kids can entertain them self playing in the gated child area.
Have been here for a friend kid's Birthday party, surprised by how the restaurant turns into a well laid out birthday venue.
In short, would recommend this place anytime.
Food was good and the staff were nice. Fast service and didn't have to wait long after ordering.
