Review Everise Handmade Noodle - Kingsford

Ordered the handmade noodles with roasted lamb topping (凉面烤肉) - the noodles were deliciously chewy while the lamb was juicy and full of the flavour of chilli and cumin. The pan-fried pork buns (生煎包) are nice, but could have more soup inside.

This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Sydney, and probably top two on Anzac parade (tied with Tea Plus!) 😍 Order the Manchurian sweet and sour pork and the hot oil noodles 😋 There's also a fantastic chicken dish that comes in a metal bowl (but I've forgotten the name). Service is quick and the prices are so cheap for the quality of food you'll get! Seriously recommend 🙌💯🤩

Delicious meals with very generous portion sizes. Great place to catch up with friends and really student budget friendly! I ordered the beef stew rice dish which was very nice. One of my friends ordered the fried rice which was huge! Really close to UNSW and the Kingsford light rail stop so it's easy to get to.

Delicious food, and so affordable. The boiled handmade noodles are lovely and chewy and slurpy. Very generous serving sizes. Service was quick too. Will be coming back! A great spot for students

Foods decent, portions are huge (which is awesome for students), but customer service is far below average. The waitress clearly just doesn't care about customer experience much. One thing to keep in mind is that they charge an extra dollar if you pay by card, so bring some cash!

Horrible - waited 40min to get some take away. The braised “pork” is literally only fat and skin - no meat at all, and minimal flavour. I’m not picky, and I’m really hungry, but after a few mouthfuls - I can’t eat this.

Lovely noodles! Great value for money. Like other people said the waitress was a bit cold. No smile at all. But the value of the place is real

Some great Chinese food. My Dad like to go hear because they cook just like they do from his home town in China. They have handmade noodles and dumplings! What more could you ask for. They also have great prices. Great cheap eat

Very good pan fried dumplings 12 for $9.80 extremely good value. Pan fried bun also very good.
Last night, the handmade noodle was a bit overcooked so slightly doughy, not as good as some other time we have been there. Serving are large. The restaurant decor is simple but fresh and clean.

This little restaurant offers a range of traditional Chinese dishes. However they are famous for their handmade noodles which is why we only ordered noodles. We got the chicken soup noodle and the stir fried flat noodle with chicken which was absolutely delicious. The texture and consistency of the noodles were chewy and silky- just perfect.

Went to Everise Handmade noodles tonight. Wife ordered a prawn dish. Me the lamb. The prawn dish arrived, a large plateful of food, a good start. But on closer examination, it was largely broad noodles, a few vegetables and 5 small prawns. The lamb was good, but the prawn dish lacking (lacking mainly prawns). While making payment after the meal, she spoke to the (possibly) manager, to complain and was told "If you don't like the food, don't come back again". And then, "Go away!!" (in quite a belligerent, yet off hand manner, as if he didn't care one bit). Upon hearing what was going on, I joined the (short) conversation, to also be told to go away. We paid & left...…..never to return!

Picked this place at random and thought I’d give it a go. The menu reminded me a lot of the Chinatown noodle restaurant branch. The food was pretty mediocre in my opinion, but price was super low. I don’t think the dishes I ordered did this place justice as a lot of people rave about their handmade noodles. I really felt like eating other stuff so had:
- braised eggplant and rice: this was ok. I was hoping it would have a stronger fragrance but ended up tasting like just a soy sauce based eggplant dish. It was edible so I wasn’t too disappointed.
- salt and pepper squid: boy I was disappointed when this one came out. I was hoping for the typical salt and pepper squid with garlic, chives and chilli garnish but nope, it was literally squid with salt and pepper on the side! This was really bad, could not eat much of this one. Squid super rubbery and bad flavour overall.
- braised eggs: partner had these. He said it was ok, nothing special.
- lamb skewers: my partner had these as well. He did not like how much cumin was drenched on these skewers. It was too overpowering for his liking.
- shallot pancake: these were nice. Super crisp outside with a soft moist inside. Had just the right of shallots in it as well.
Service was pretty good as well for a Chinese place. Although the food for this experience was a letdown, I think I would give this place another crack when I feel like some noodles. I can’t stress how cheap the dishes were - the most expensive thing was the salt and pepper squid at $15.80 - everything else was under $10 per dish!

Amazing handmade noodle shop! They made one of the best handmade noodles. It was reasonably cheap. Soup base was great and they put enough meat and veg to fill you up. My partner and I demolished our bowls quickly. Highly recommended!

Food: it's good noodle texture and dumpling always go back for these 2. Taste is good for dumpling just for the noodle can be quite oily for the stir fry but the soup noodle is ok

Ambiance: student restaurant environment. Quick and not fussy.

Price: value for money and portion just most of the time no eftpos.

average tasting food with not that much flavour. No eftpos service which is a big no-no. Can't say we'll be back! we had pork and shallot pancake which was the tastiest. However the dumplings and chopped noodles with chicken were quite oily.

Busy place in Kingsford on a Sat midday. Had house stir fried noodles with pork and broad stir fried noodles. The dishes were alright, nothing out of the ordinary. Asked for extra spice, got a little bit of spice. Food ok, prices are very low.
Hello Miss May
Hungrysydneysiders and I had one of the yummiest handmade noodles in town. There are many restaurants to choose from in Kingsford, but you gotta try Everise.

The Everise handmade noodles remind me of the street food in China. Such a yummy kind of comfort food you wanna have. For mains, try the House Stir Fried Pork Noodle and Pan Fried Pork and Cabbage Dumplings. They're always the perfect kind of combo when it comes to Northern chinese food.

We added Spring Onion Pancake on the side. Mmmmm.... sooo good. Looking forward to our next visit, as there are plenty more dishes to try at Everise!

More foodie adventures on
Hellomissmay.com

find me on Instagram @hellomissmay

We started with the spring onion pancake to get things going as an appetiser. Then we ordered the pork and chive fried dumplings, delicious, with a crunchy base, yum! Followed by the Handmade-shop fried noodles with pork, a classic. Will definitely be back again:)

Went there for little chinese venture. Had some pan fried pork bun which was pretty good! There was soup inside the pork bun that was brothy and tasty! Yum! The fried side of the bun was crunchy yet fluffy +++ had the Sweet and sour prawn which was quite alright and also salted egg tofu!! That salted egg tofu was so yummyyy!! Everybody on the table loves it. Great flavor :)

I went to the restaurant this evening. The food tastes good and looks good BUT I'm worrying about their sanitary condition because I saw some dirt on my plate and I complained to a waiter but he gave me a new one which just looked worse than the last one! The price of dishes is relatively low but I hope they didn't save the costs on food safety.

Had the eel fried rice, lamb skewers and pork chive dumplings. The fried rice was salty and filled wuth msg. It was a generous serve of rice but stingy serve of eel. The lamb skewers were nice. 5 sticks for $10 is a bargain! And 16 boiled dumplings for $8.80 was also a steal. Would come here for cheap and value for money dumplings.

On Sunday night Street of Kingsford eatery area was full of people and pretty much every restaurant was full with queues outside. We saw one seat available in this restaurant so decided to give it a go. This place doesn't have best ambient or service, in fact the waiter didn't seem to like clearing or cleaning the tables… They seemed a little spaced out. We ordered Lamb skewers, trotters, tofu & prawn soup and stewed chicken with three sauces.
First of all I can't give too much credit for presentation - it was a little messy however taste was on a great side. Our favorite was the three sauce stewed chicken, I had this dish at Neil Perry's Spice Temple and it was almost just as good (minus the presentation) Chicken drumlets were cooked to perfection with beautiful sauce with basil and onions. It has a lot of bones and a little messy to eat as you will have to use your hand to eat the meat around the bones but very tasty indeed.
Total bill was $40 - another gem in Kingsford - a place you can have a great meal without breaking the bank! Highly recommend if you don't mind the un-attentive service.
