Have been here countless times since it is close to UNSW. Surprisingly I don't have many photos. Some of my favourite flavours are Thai milk tea, lychee rose and durian. There are so many good options and you can get one or two scoops or like 20!
They've been changing the menu over the years which is very nice to see. Even more recently they have added the Hong Kong bubble waffle to their menu. One of them was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside but another one was way overcooked.
I haven't had problems with the service but the interior definitely needs some revamping.
Look at the picture. 24 scoops of flavour. You get to choose from a variety of flavours to make up your favourite 24 scoops. You need a team to finish it. I liked most of the flavours. It is like everyone’s palate gets satisfied.
Such a nice place to grab dessert, the people are nice and the food is always great there, either get the ice cream and crepes are nice! The crepes are soft and warm with a side of ice cream is the perfect combination
Amazing selection of desserts! My go to place for sugar cravings.
Highlight: Chocolate crêpes stuffed with bananas, chocolate mousse, hazelnut sauce, hazelnut ice cream and strawberries.
They have great range of desserts, I love how they have durian ice cream because it’s super hard to get. I have been here couple times and I always enjoyed my time. It’s a great hangout place with my friends.
Service and food is great. Prices have increased too over the years. Has a wide range of various desserts available. Not overly sweet as well. Great place to come with friends.
Omg yumm! This place is delicious and so much lighter than max brenner. If you’re craving something naughty/sweet this place is a must! You can’t go past the crepes or pancakes.
Passionflower is a lovely dessert place located in the heart of Kingsford.
I’ve come here a few times and it’s never failed to disappoint. A huge selection of different desserts and plenty of seating! Definitely a must try place if you’re in the area and are craving dessert 🤪
Food recommendation: banana crepes🍌
This is my favourite dessert or ice cream place. This dessert chain was before gelatissimo was around so it was pretty good. My favourite of course the durian ice cream. When I crave durian, I usually come and eat here. At least I won’t make my car or my house smell but I still can enjoy.
Had the specials which was choc souffle and sticky date pudding. It was incredibly good! Price not too expensive and the durian ice cream taste amazing! Definetely will be back🤤🤤
One of our go to dessert places during uni days, can't believe this is the only passionflower left in Sydney!
We got our ice-cream bowls, it's pretty good price for the amount they give us. The chocolate fudge brownie was rich and decadent, brownies was a bit hard (like they've put it in fridge for a while), but i didn't mind it too much.
The flavours they offer is also very diverse. Lychee rose was very refreshing and the salted caramel is nice too. They also have plenty of seats, and don't mind you sitting them for a long long time.
We were in the area and decided to enjoy some ice cream as it was a hot day.
I was craving some Asian flavours so I chose double happiness which had matcha and red bean ice cream with mochi and red bean paste on the side. My son went for his fav strawberry ice cream in a waffle basket and husband chose their super duper brownie which consisted of white choc, choc and caramel ice cream with brownie pieces. We also ordered a side of their sesame seed Mochi which was nice.
Friendly service and while the price is on the high side, it’s worth trying.
Passionflower has my favorite ice cream flavor ever, lychee rose! I ordered two scoops in a cup for $6.50. My partner ordered the expresso flavor and he loved it.
This place has a lot of seating to enjoy ice cream and dessert with friends on a hot day!

My fav Asian ice cream flavour in Sydney!! Tried their durian, taro, Pandan , azuki bean and sticky rice ice cream.. my fav one is the sticky rice.. the black sesame also their popular flavour but today I don’t want to try that one.. too often with that flavour..
Premium flavours have a surcharge which sucks as two scoops in a cone is nearly $10. So not the cheapest place.
However they offer a good range including taro, black sesame and pandan! Really creamy and delicious.

Love the variety of asian flavours ranging from pandan, thai milk tea, black sesame and azuki infused in their ice cream. Nice, comfy place open to hangout with your friends until 1 AM.
Want to skip dinner and get straight to dessert? Then make Passionflower your first stop for a fun date idea. You could be forgiven for thinking this is just another ice cream shop as you walk past. However actually walking past this place is unforgivable, because you need to know this isn’t just another ice cream shop.Sure they do the classics; they’ve got waffles, crêpe, sundaes etc. But actually what makes this place unique is what they’ve done with the classics. Like chocolate crêpes? Well there’s a pretty good chance you’ll love the surprise chocolate mousse and strawberries hidden inside the rolled up crêpe. Same goes for the sundaes, when you order a cookies and cream sundae, as well as delicious cookies and cream ice cream, you’ll find actual whipped cream on top and an actual yummy cookie sitting on the bottom of your sundae. If you are brave enough you can really mess with the classics and order a sundae with exotic flavours such as black sesame, durian or even sticky rice. As a result taking someone here for a romantic date will cater for both the adventurous and traditional sweet teeth of the world. Serving sizes are also perfectly suited for two because finishing one of these by yourself is an impressive feat.
I am heading up to Sydney on the weekend and am already planning all the old favourites I'm going to revisit. Passionflower was one of those random discoveries that I happened on years ago and I swiftly found myself addicted to their strawberry waffle. There's actually nothing like melted chocolate. I could literally drink it by the cupful. Poured over a warm waffle with delicious vanilla ice cream is pretty hard to beat. Unfortunately the branches of Passionflower in Melbourne have all closed so I'll be getting my fix in a few days and I'm looking forward to trying something different this time. The crepes are right at the top of the list
Went here after dinner ordered the waffles pancake with coconut and chocolate ice cream and the Chocolate dip with fruit. Banana and kiwifruit, Honey and Banana Milkshake
One of my go-to icecream/dessert bars! I love the huge range of icecream flavours (I come here so often I have probably tried most of the flavours already) ❤️ Also tried their egg waffle range which complimented the icecream nicely!
Their lychee rose ice cream is the best ice cream flavour I've ever had. My favourite order is always the Geisha San, which has a combination of green tea and lychee rose ice creams. Service could be better though.
Cosy place, always have seats to accommodate chill dessert time. Discounts for pancake, waffles and crepe are on from Monday to Wednesday (as I remember). Icecreams are good, $1 choco-filled pancake is surprisingly nomz!
My favorite dessert shop in Kingsford. Excellent service and yummy food. The new flavor Nutella was amazing and the Belgium chocolate flavor was pure. I love the savory crepe as well! They also have the promotion o Instagram. I hope I can get those cute cups!!!🤓
My favourite ice cream flavour is brown sticky rice and there are only a few places in Sydney that does this, Passionflower being one of them. So delicious and really nice with the matcha icecream on a crunchy waffle cone!
Being a Waffle and Pancake lover, this place is highly recommended. Anzac Parade really needed a place like this. If u don't compare his place with Pancake on the rocks, you will definitely like this place.
Yay I love this ice cream/ dessert heaven. Located in the city of Kingsford ( you will find this so closed to any of my fav resto haha such as Ayam Goreng 99/ Albee’s kitchen/ Chinese Kingsford/ Niji Sushi etc..
Anyway this place closed to midnight as well. They serve so many flavours ( they also have premium one I.e durian, black sesame, taro etc.. ) check out this store. Best customer service; nice green tea latte too. Good place to chit chat. ;D
•Adding a little Passion to my flower • Passionflower Kingsford @passionflower_kingsford • deliciousness all round • we got chocolate waffles , chocolate lush plate , chocolate soufflé 😍😍😍 seriously haven't had good desert in a while , and the customer service was on point , the girl is just perfect explained everything we asked 👌 this is def a 10/10 for me , would recommend coming and trying it 🤗 #passionflower#kingsford#sydney#desert#idontfeelbad#friends#foodgasm #dessert #food #desserts #yum #amazing #instagood #instafood #sweet #chocolate #cake #icecream #dessertporn #delish #foods #delicious #tasty #eat #eating #foodpics #sweettooth
Great place for an afternoon break near uni. Nothing is particularly special but everything is at it's right place, the cafe is tidy and comfortable for small group meeting as well. I think they do have the best pancakes and waffles around UNSW and they are like giving off nutella pancakes like free. The drinks might be a little bit weird but still good.
Some really great, interesting flavours here including lychee rose and black sesame among others. Along with the lychee rose, the green tea ice cream is delicious and they complement each other beautifully. I've tried some of the other Western flavours and they're okay, nothing special. Passionflower is a touch exxy, but students get 15% off which is great. I definitely recommend for the eastern flavoured ice cream, but go to Messina or Cow and Moon for your standard Western flavours.
Went after a warm day with quite a large group of friends and find that the place was great to come and chill. The 'Lasting Love' was really nice and sweet making it very refreshing, perfect for a hot day.
This is a great spot to chill-out with friends after uni over ice cream. The service has been pretty good, and the servings are generous, especially great value for their sundae waffle cones to share. Some great flavours are the thai milk tea, black sesame and green tea, however these are usually the premium flavours which are a dollar or so extra. The waffles here are pretty decent as well and I like how they make the waffles fresh to order. It's great to snag them when they have deals like $10 on a particular day.
You’ve been out ALL night with friends at Luna Park going on all the rides you possibly can without throwing up. Get ice cream of course!. I’m loving the late night icecream scene. Now this post has to come with a warning. Passionflower make GIGANTIC sundaes. I’m not kidding.. There is one there called the Mission Impossible that has 13 scoops of icecream! 13! And before you think that doesn’t sound that bad – Passionflower’s scoops of icecream are very generous.
I love passionflower ice creams they are little pricy but their selection of ice creams are unique and desserts are amazing. I especially love the sticky rice and the saseme seed ice cream.

I love coming here whenever I feel like a different type of dessert, other than just plain ice cream in a cone or cup. The pricing is expensive but its worth it if you order the right thing.
The portions are quite big and majority of the desserts they make, are delicious!
The only negative is the different pricing for takeaway and dine-in. The drinks are around $1.50-$2 cheaper if you took it away than dined in!
Other than that, I love coming to passionflower, especially in summer
From top left, coconut, marbled crunch, bottom left, Thai tea and black sesame. Thai tea tasted a bit like not so sweet milk tea, and coconut actually dessicated coconut in it. Love passionflower.
Their sundaes and waffles are legendary, and so too the rich chocolate on chocolate on chocolate crepes, with chocolate ice cream and molten liquid chocolate on a chocolate crepe with chopped strawberries for freshness.
Red bean banana crepe. Generous serve of 2 green tea ice creams with red bean crepe and fresh banana. Generally quite pricey. Pleasant staff, but how do you eat icecream with a knife and fork?
Need to vacuum the wall decor!
Excellent service, good food great place.

Lovely. Very generous with the ice cream scoops and the portion sizes. Loved it.
Self Indulgence. It's always hard for me to choose which ice cream to goes with everytime i walked in the shop, it's just super good!!
love the pancakes
Lovely dessert place. All types of delicious ice cream, waffles, and more! They have specials regularly so keep an eye out for that, since prices tend to be on the higher end. Lovely interior decor. Also free wifi.
Perfect place to come for desert after a nice meal in Kingsford. They have a great selection of deserts, from mixed platters, waffles, crepes, drinks, shaved ice and ice creams. The atmosphere is nice and light and the staff are very helpful and friendly 🍧🍨🍹
You know, I've never had a bad dessert at this place, though I could have just been choosing carefully.
The chocolate ice-cream in a come or a cup is still the best. Their other ice-cream is ok, but I come here exclusively for the chocolate.
The egg waffles (from Hong Kong) are petty good and make a nice change from regular waffles.
Staff are nice and the evening atmosphere is relaxing and chill.
Recommend +++
what a amazing selection of desserts they have :)
Definitely a must if you love dessert bars . Everything was so fresh and delicious nice atmosphere lovely staff :)
the sticky date pudding which was absolutely delightful
Needs a interior upgrade though .
