Review Zanya's Cafe - Kingsgrove

Justin Donnelly
Zanya's is a fantastic cafe that consistently provides exceptional food and service, I've dined here on many occasions and always leave full and happy. They have an extensive menu with plenty of options to ensure there is something for everyone. Nice decor and ample seating allow for groups, families and prams which is always a bonus. Definitely recommend checking them out and also ordering takeaway during this time of restrictions.

This place has changed management and has gone downhill, I wouldn’t recommend eating here as you can make better food at home. The menu is the same but what you order turns out to be completely different. They have no idea about presentation or quality of food. We spend $60 on pancakes and coffee and what a disgrace it was. They use containers of plastic for everything when eating in, so I don’t know why we bothered eating in. There is an item on the menu called OG pancakes and there was nothing OG about them. They were as thin as paper, dry, and came out with a tub of frozen butter, soggy banana and plain ice-cream with no taste. I won’t be returning here.

Great local joint that has a huge menu with all day dining options. The breakfast board was insane value at $26! The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I am looking forward to going back for a couple more dishes off the menu. Coffee and drinks were on point. Plenty of untimed street parking which made it super easy to get to. We feasted on a spread of dishes that were tasty and beautifully presented. I had the Zanya's Mediterranean Plate which was the perfect mix of marinated skewers, fried kibbeh, smokey eggplant dip, hummus, salad and Lebanese bread. It was just what I wanted and certainly hit the spot! I also did manage to sneak a taste of the other dishes including the sweets and happy to report they were amazing too! Shout out to the prawn spaghetting which I am definitely ordering next time

i personally ordered the Awarma Baked Eggs 🍳 i didn't mind these, but felt they lacked a bit of spice/oomph, it was a lil flat! i did however try some of that chilli prawn pasta and BOY that didn't disappoint! 🍝 nice hit of chilli, generous w the prawns, and pasta cooked perfectly al dente 👌 the avocado spiral on that stack was a beauty, had to capture a cheeky close up of that 🥑 and the Mediterranean plate had me drooling with those succulent skewers 🍢 the nutella French toast was good but very rich, you gotta be a true nutella lover to smash this 😂 we also agreed that the bread needed a bit more soaking as it was quite hard/tough! the kanfeh French toast was a better hit, as the soft melty cheese helped smooth it all out, and you can't ever go wrong with a stack of pancakes like this 🥞 check out my foodie instagram @erinxeats for more!

The zanya cafe has a warm and inviting ambience. Their desserts are decadent flavour packed and perfect for sharing. Street Parking around / across the street from the cafe is available but may take a few minutes to spot up. The staff are friendly and are great if with giving you suggestions if you feel overwhelmed with the choices.

One of my local favourites, the cafe and dessert bar that has it all. Delicious skewers, kibbeh, pancakes, shakshuka, gorgeous chilli prawn spaghetti and my dish, the eye catching, stunning knefeh french toast.  All the food was amazing, the french toast was so well balanced and something I will come back for

Fantastically tasty breakfast wraps with a particularly yummy relish, superb coffee, friendly staff. The decor is very original with attention to greenery and floral motifs.
