Review Macchina Espresso - Kingsgrove

5 stars for the girls (Barista / waitress). 3 stars for the cooks. 3 stars for the fresh produce only not the quality of quantity. I'd like to say I have been going there for years. Had some minor hiccups over my time but, today I was really annoyed. We were the only table of people. We ordered our food and it took 30 minutes, not sure why? The cooks weren't cooking other meals. The food came out cold, over saturated in sauce and 1 slice of bacon for a big breakfast. I wish id taken a photo. Its not like it use to be. Its possibly the Sunday crew. Previous issues have also been on the same day. (Sunday). Coffee is still great and I'll continue getting coffee but, ill check in to confirm cooks before I eat there again.

Wont come back again $13.90 for wrap... they mess it up. Small portion too

Macchina used to be the best! Massive portions - you really got bang for buck. Now they have brought the prices up and cut the sizes down. Seriously what cafe gives you smashed avo on 1 slice of bread. 😕 or a big breakfast 1 slice of bread - there is really nothing big about that.. don't know what's happend, but were super disappointed and you've lost us as customers. - on the bright side I got a pretty good last photo of their orange juice

Went here for the first time to meet up and have lunch with my son Lovely atmosphere and food was absolutely delicious

I visited this place mid August 2019 and both food and Coffee were amazing! Egg benedict plus full breakfast were MASSIVE- definitely worth this ~19$ per plate. I will be back!

Great cafe with excellent quality food and coffee. The staff are among the nicest I’ve met going beyond standard customer service.

The customers of Macchina cafe's like to park on nearby apartment driveway even with clear no parking signs, eventhough there are available underground parking for retail customers. The illegally parked vehicles block the pedestrian foot path, create blind spot for outgoing cars and violate both public and private space. I really wish the owner of Macchina Cafe could advise their patrons not to park on their neighbour's driveway.

Great spot for breakfast. We had the “eggs your way” and they were poached to perfection. The coiffed is a very nice blend too. Staff is friendly and the cafe is really lovely and open and there’s great parking.

Service with a smile, best coffee & the new food menu is to die for ! Will be back �

Have moved to Kingsgrove 2 weeks ago, the food at the cafe is pretty good, but the customer service is so slow.... been waiting for 35 minutes for my breakfast and both my partner and I have finished our drinks already. They either need to get more chefs in or more food prepers, it's kind of ridiculous to wait that long for a small breakfast.

Fantastic coffee and service, definitely recommend!

Messed up my order.. No mushrooms, cold toast at breakfast, few berries on the pancakes which were dry and they were old berries...had to ask twice for butter for my cold toast then it cost $40 for the worst breakfast ever.

Amazing food, sophisticated menu & the staff so friendly & accomodating. Also a great place for kids.

Love their food & great service. Me & my wife had the Greek Breakfast with Haloumi today & it was something!!! I was there for a catch up with my brother yesterday for lunch & the burgers were yummy!! Got to trying if in the area.

I eat eggs Benedict more than any regular person should, so know what's good. This was in my top three. Excellent food amazing price the staff were excellent. Iced chai was out of this world. Will definitely be back.

Bought a Nutella Scroll from the Sans Souci store today! I got it to take away. I had to heat it up as it was ROCK hard..I then took a bite into it and found it was completely covered in blue and white stuff..yep, MOULD!! I then took initiative and drove all the way back to the store just to let the manager know if any other scrolls were beyond expired like mine as its poisonous and should NOT be even on the shelves. The manager ONLY gave me a refund...nothing to say thank you for letting us know...the manager then felt the other many scrolls left on the shelf and she couldn't even find one that was fresh!! My family has owned many cafes over the years and I have to say this was the worst customer service I've experienced. Would never go back nor recommend anyone.

Steak roll was yummy and wholesome. The buttermilk chicken burger was crispy and fresh. Also enjoyed the chili prawn rice bowl and my girlfriend liked the super green drink. Chicken rice bowl was only ok as I felt it had too much rice and not enough topping.

Really nice cafe, I ordered the croissant and it was pretty filling. The chips that came with it were very crispy. For the drink, I ordered the Summer Breeze, I would rate it a 4.5/5 it had a very nice taste too it and it wasn't too sweet.

We came here as it was one of the only cafes open in the area with outdoor seating. We ordered the summer specifically buttermilk chicken burger and chips which was delicious. We also ordered the corn and zucchini fritters which was vegetarian, light and refreshing. The tropical smoothie was icy cold - perfect for a hot day.

Decent espressos and pretty satisfying indulgent shake! Was happy to seem them using actual whipped cream and not the canned stuff and also adding in honeycomb crunch although would've been nice with a bit less ice. but even though it's $10 you definitely get a good serving size!

Food looked and tasted great. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the Macchina full breakfast which definitely fulfilled my stomach! Will recommend and come back again.

Great spot with indoor and outdoor seating. The place has a great feel and it doesn’t feel overly crowded or busy. <br/><br/>Efficient and helpful service. The lady at the counter was nice and seemed relaxed about things. <br/><br/>All the cakes and sweets in the counter looked really good. Wanted to try but did not on this occasion. The coffee was good. <br/>I would go back and order food and coffee here.

Top notch coffee and decent servings of good food from quality ingredients. As a vegetarian my options were limited to a couple of menu items, but what I ordered (Nutrition Bomb) was delicious.

Great food that was hot, fresh and tasty with fast, friendly and not at all pushy service. We were wonderfully looked after while enjoying a Saturday brunch with excellent coffee.

Went there before they closed ( didn't realise they were closing soon when we got there) and they were so nice! Didn't rush or make us feel uncomfortable about it and even put the outdoor heater on for us. The ambience is really cool and I love the flowers on the table ! Really nice staff.

Came for lunch and our food was presented well and tasted great. Wait for four meals was quite long but taste-wise everybody was satisfied. Prices are on the higher side but servings were generous. We really liked their sweet potato fries, and coffee was also enjoyed by all.<br/><br/>Staff however came across as very blasé when taking orders and when miscalculating our payment and shortchanging us. To us it seemed like they didn't want to be there, let alone serve people. They need to be a little more switched on before we consider returning and waiting half an hour for food.<br/><br/><br/><br/>

First off, the staff were lovely but looked a little flustered. It was a bit small but they made it work with the space they had. My boyfriend had a fresh orange juice which was tasty and refreshing with the Macchina full breakfast which he said tasted great and was very filling. I had the banana mango smoothie which was nice but a bit too thick for my liking and i ate the avocado smash with feta and added poached eggs, haloumi, grilled tomatos and sweet potato chippies. The food was so filling and tasted great. I think the extras were a bit pricey but other than that overall everything was great :)

We come here often for afternoon tea. Coffee is good. The kids like the babycinos and milkshakes. I never know what to order. They don't have a non powdered chai so it's sugar, sugar or coffee. Very friendly staff and the sweet treats are really yummy.
