Review Black Olive Gourmet Food - Kirrawee

Great little oasis in in the industrial area. Good variety of in-house made food, with several options for dietary requirements. Good coffee with all the usual alternative milk options. Pleasant staff and prompt service. Some parking out the front. Closes early on weekends now, used to be open longer.

My daughter wanted waffles for her b'day so I googled waffles near me and found this absolute gem in our local area! Set in a cool industrial setting, the coffee was amazing, but the food was outstanding! How have I not known about this place sooner? Will definitely be back.

A bit out of the way from public transport, we decided to visit because a friend reckons this is his favourite cafe. So we're standing outside and I say to my wife "Let's see if it is as good as John says." A customer just leaving smiles at me, obviously having overheard me, and says "It is good, very good." Hmmm. That's promising if a random customer will say that. Inside was much bigger than the outside made it look - and it was packed! Ok - to the review. We had cappuccinos (yes, we are creatures of habit) and apple muffins. The coffee was good but the muffins were absolutely superb. I would return for those muffins alone! Anyway, worth the visit šŸ˜€

Located in a converted warehouse in an industrial area, so parking can be a problem. Great food, reasonably priced Good service and surrounds

Love this warehouse style cafe. The smoker is what makes this cafe unique. For example, the brisket sandwich, eat in or take away and press it later at home, my husbandā€™s favourite. The frozen take home meals are really handy for an easy night in. The owner is a professional, quick service and the 70s music creates a relaxed vibe. Parking onsite.

I have been coming to this Cafe since it opened. It has bought such a unique vibe to the Shire. The briskette is next level , the coffee is amazing and the set up of the Cafe itself is awesome, some of the tables are even long wooden stree stumps, just beautiful. But more important is the service. Everytime I walk into this Cafe the staff are so helpful and friendly. I remember being on maternity leave and the new little one would be in the car and without me even asking they would see me in the car park and even run it out to me šŸ˜ Come and visit them, the menue is great and the humans are even better. Thankyou Matty for being an exceptional hospitable caring human.

Its a cafe hidden in an industrial area... so glad to have found it. Food and produce are amazing. The people are friendly. Best of all dog-friendly inside!!!

Popped in for lunch. Had the brisket box for takeaway. Seriously good, the brisket was beautifully tender and super Smokey. I was lucky with my piece coming from the better end of the cut, nice bit of fat to keep it juicy. The salad was great, plenty of texture and fresh herbs.
Great coffee. Iā€™m just disappointed this place it a bit out of my way.
Well done guys.

Came by for breakfast. The chai latte had a delicious foam, and I had expected the flavour to penetrate through into the liquid, but discovered that the rest of the drink was a bit on the bland side. The brisket baked egg was absolutely delicious, was hooked after the first bite. The brisket was cooked perfectly and so flavourful, the egg perfectly cooked, the hashbrown provided a nice texture to the dish (and a different twist to the usual toasted bread), and the avocado helped lighten the dish up. Easily the best baked egg dish I've had in Sydney, will be coming back for more!

Workers were so friendly, food was absolutely amazing and beautifully presented and great value for money
I donā€™t live in the area, but I very much look forward to coming back in the future!

Called in to try the Brisket - heard it was good - it is! Definitely. The usual mid morning pram jam is probably not the best time to go if you havenā€™t got a pram. Definitely worth a try!

Fabulous for brunch or lunch with small kids (great play area close to several tables). Various sandwiches, salads, baked items are always available as well as the printed menu. The Reuben is my favourite. Coffee is good without being amazing - itā€™s all about the food. Weekday-only-specials are great value (eg bacon and egg roll plus coffee for $10).

We had the slow cooked beef with a selection of salad , hummus , relish and garlic crisp bread just perfect. And coffee was as good . Hidden away on the fringe of a light industrial area , residential it was perfect spot and no parking problem on weekends

We love visiting Black Olive and the winter breakkie menu has some definite winners! My coconut porridge was to die for - complete with pineapple, macadamias and muscovado sugar! The boys were pretty happy too šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹

I love the Black Olive and travel 25 minutes to go there. They have a great range of gourmet food products such as oils, vinegars, sauces, chutneys, pastry and my favourite Cuttaway Creek jams.

It's a great place to stop for a chai and afternoon tea and you can't go wrong with any of their desserts, they are seriously delicious with gluten free options. They have a deli stocked with imported cheeses, cold meats and pate. Another great feature of the Black Olive is that they sell ready made meals to take home and cook and they use really good produce.Their take home range includes a variety of quiches, pies, soups, lasagne, moussaka, slow cooked Sicilian lamb, cannelloni and more. I have also used them for catering which was also great.
