Great food and atmosphere !
Grace of India is located conveniently next to Milson's Point station. Grace of India brings you 3 generations of recipes served in a family environment so you know you'll be experiencing traditional Indian food. When we were brought to our table, the waitress asked what the spice level is for the table. We both thought medium would be a reasonable spice level but boy, was I wrong. Matt tolerates spices really well whereas, I'm terrible. We ordered pappadam with condiments and onion bhajis to start, two curries (chicken tikka masala & lamb madras), two naans (keema and garlic & cheese), a mango lassi and rice to share. Would return in a heart beat and I think I've just found a new love for naan.
Amazing service , good food and great portion. My review is based on multiple visits and I believe this is one of the best Indian punjabi restaurant in Sydney .
This place is real good.
The ambience, the service, everything here is so Indian. It gives me a feeling of sitting in Dhaba, Rajouri Garden, north Indian restaurant with a similar theme. The place is made real cozy and homely by the courteous staff here.
We asked for options in Mains and Starters and were amazed with the food.
We had butter chicken and paneer tikka for starters.
Definitely coming back for more!
Fairly speaking, food was pretty good. The chicken biryani was well flavoured, with quite some chicken pieces in there. Lamb curry (forgot the name) was nice too, but a bit too much salt. Mince Naan was ok, would prefer garlic naan more. Service was friendly too. Easy to find location.
First time eating here and I have to say I'm impressed. The food is very flavourful and fragrant, as all Indian food should be. The veg samosas were nice, the pastry crust thin and crisp, and not too oily like other samosas I've had in the past. The chicken biryani has a nice kick to it and is very fragrant. The mango lassi is a must, it cools down the spice of the food and is delicious! The only issue is the staff were a little over attentive and wanted to take our plates away ASAP as we were just finishing the food.

Grace of India is a family run business in Milsons Point that has been providing the community with quality North Indian cusine for 24 years. The service is friendly and welcoming with many of their diners return guests, some who have been returning since they opened 24 years ago. Grace of India has indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant decorated to theme with Indian inspired artwork.
They run a seasonal menu using fresh ingredients. To start one of our favourite parts of indian dining, the Papadams and a range of condiments including pickles, chutney and raita
Sweet chilli mushrooms a tasty vegetarian option. The chicken malai tikka was delicious a nice spice and very succulent.
We shared the lamb saagwala and the butter chicken. Both curries were on point, the meat tender and sauce full of flavour. Naan a must, the garlic naan was perfect for soaking up the curry sauce.
We also tried some cool desserts both very photogenic and a good counter to the spices of the curries. The gulab jamun, sweet condensed milk and pistachio dumplings served in rose syrup. We also had my go to indian dessert, the mango kulfi. Like a mango weiss bar, the Grace of India version looked pretty on the playe and bonus it was loaded with chocolate honey comb and coconut.
A quality Indian on the north side of the bridge. Any restaurant in business for 24 years has to be doing it right, Grace of India has the right recepie of Quality food and good service.

Opening in 1993, Grace of India is one of the longest standing Indian restaurants in Sydney and it’s not hard to see why. The venue serves up authentic indian dishes, and the owner and head chef, Santokh, makes a point of personally greeting every single customer with a smile, an exclamation of “boss!”, and maybe even a hug if you’re a regular! We came here on Thursday night for a casual after work dinner and will share that experience.
Such a wonderful place for a good Indian meal. The menu had some different dishes than any other restaurant I have been to. The flavours in each dish were superb. The service was friendly and very accommodating. Honestly each plate I got to experience was better than the next. Highly, highly, highly 😉 recommended !!
We had a lovely evening with excellent food and attentive service. What I liked was the complexity of flavours and use of quality ingredients. Highly recommended.
Hands down the best Indian in Sydney. This place does fantastic authentic indian food both in house and delivered. I have had almost everything on the menu at some stage and it has always been fantastic. An absolute must
Amazing Indian food!!!! A must try!
Grace of India is hidden right near the train station and I can't believe I have only recently found this gem.
It is hard to find good quality Indian food that isn't oily and doesn't make you feel sick after. I could have kept eating this all night.
This will be a regular and it is a great Take Away option as well :)

FOOD QUALITY
Three of us dined on a quiet Sunday night in August. We started with a plate of crispy pappadums with condiments and a shared platter of vegetarian entrees, which comprised three pieces each of onion bhaji, aloo tikka (spiced potato with cheese) and our all-time fav, samosas. That was an appetising selection to whet our appetites for what was to follow. For mains we choose a saagwala lamb, mango chicken and a plate of dahl, accompanied by saffron rice and naan bread. Everyone enjoyed the food. It was fresh and tasty and cooked in those aromatic, flavoursome Indian herbs and spices that we love so much. And the meat was succulent and tender. Serving sizes were just right: not too large and not too small and it’s all brought to the table piping hot, in stylish white crockery. We finished off with a serve of warm gulab jamun and a sweet, smooth mango kulfi ice cream. The perfect way to end a sumptuous meal.
ATMOSPHERE
The décor is stylish and elegant, with plush, dark carpets, colourful wall hangings and neatly laid tables with crisp white napery. This is the kind of restaurant that I feel most comfortable in, with its refined and sophisticated atmosphere that at the same time is also relaxed and casual. Even the lack of other diners didn’t worry us too much; there were sufficient occupied tables so that we were never alone in the restaurant. I guess the wet, miserable August weather kept people at home.
SERVICE
Everything went off without a hitch. We were made to feel welcome the moment we stepped through the door. Our orders were promptly taken by a pretty waitress in a black outfit, and dishes came out promptly and in the correct order. The owner/manager was on hand to make sure that we were satisfied with the offerings. He even poured us free glasses of port at the end of our meals: a nice touch I thought.
COMFORT
This is a comfortable place from every aspect: Tables are large enough to fit all the dishes, the wooden chairs are solid and comfortable and the interior is warm and cosy.
MENU
Clearly laid out and simple to follow.
TOILETS
Clean, well provisioned and easy to find at the back of the restaurant with a sign on the door.
ACOUSTICS
The combination of carpets, soft furnishings and a lack of other diners gave us faultless sound quality.
COST
I guess this is where things came a bit unstuck. We were presented with a hefty bill for $131 for three of us. And it wasn’t only the quantum that gave me heartburn: The bill had been written by hand and it was impossible to understand it or read it properly. Hence I had no idea what I’d been charged for or even if it was correct. Luckily we had a $50 Dimmi voucher, which took the final cost down to a more manageable $81 and that fact, combined with my pacifist nature meant that I didn’t challenge the manager about the charges. But it did leave a rather sour taste in my mouth, especially after everything else went off so well. Perhaps I made the mistake of handing in my rewards voucher before we started; I should have left that to the end. But either way, I felt that $131 was way too expensive for what we had and not being able to read the bill, means that I’ll never know whether it was correct or not.
BOOKING
Not essential for a Sunday night but perhaps a Fri or Sat might be a different story.
PARKING/ACCESS
Being a quiet Sun night mid-winter, we found easy parking right outside, where there are no weekend or after-hours restrictions.
SUMMARY
We had a mostly pleasant evening here. Food and service were first class and I enjoyed the laid-back and casual yet stylish ambience of the place. Wait staff were exceedingly helpful and polite. Only the cost, as mentioned, would put me off coming back!
RECOMMENDATION
Try the mixed vegetarian entrée platter.
Delicious food. Friendly staff.. Grace of India is an easy restaurant to recommend. The curries were deliciois and the staff all had smiles for the customers.
The owners have renovated the restaurant and updated the menu. The food has definitely improved and the new additions to the menu are great. I had goat last night and it was delicious, we will be back soon to try some more new dishes
Recommended. The most authentic Indian food I have had in Sydney!
Under the Harbour Bridge hides this unassuming and very welcoming restaurant. The owner is super nice, the staff are attentive, the beer is cold and the food is packed full of flavour with plenty of options for everyone. This place will have you coming back many times over trying all the different dishes that they have. Highly recommend!
Nice and cosy Indian restaurant with a nice atmosphere and excellent food. We had papri chat and sizzling entrees which were all very nice. I really liked the beef vindaloo too. Naan breads were lovely. I'll be back.
Brilliant experience at Grace of India! The food we had was generous in size and truly delicious and so were the drinks, I’ve been to many Indian places near city in past but this place just feels different everyone is super nice and their service is super quick.
Thank you Mr. Singh Owner and Chef of Grace of India for your amazing food and beautiful hospitality
Truly some of the yummiest Indian food I’ve had in Australia. The food is delicious and the service second to none. I often order delivery via the website & it’s so user-friendly and has a loyalty program too. The staff are so friendly! They’ve smashed it on every level - outstanding food, great website, lovely staff. 10/10
I don’t know what it is your doing in that kitchen, but whatever it is keep doing it. We have been making the trip from eastern suburbs to your venue for years, there’s lots of Indian restaurants in Sydney but none are better than Grace of India (never did get to meet Grace). You simply can’t go wrong when ordering, the nans are the best I have ever had & the chicken is always fresh and succulent . 10/10
We had a team lunch at Grace of India, where the majority of the people were not Indians. As the event's organiser, I was a little concerned about whether everyone would enjoy it, but to my surprise, everyone in the crew did. And, as a north Indian, I can assure you that the flavour was 100% real, with just the proper amount of right spice. This is something I would strongly suggest to others.
Clearly a locals favourite, this restaurant serves a good selection of authentic Indian dishes in a friendly, warm setting. The location adds to the charm being tucked away under the northern approaches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge on the Kirribilli village side. The wine selection is decent but if you prefer to BYO there’s a bottle shop nearby. The service is prompt and low fuss. I would definitely return.
