Great little local gem. Coffee and food were great, looking forward to coming back next to time try what’s on the menu. Sweet Potato Hash; Southern Fried Chicken Burger

Absolutely horrible food, long wait, overpriced. I ordered a tuna sandwich and it has to be hands down THE WORST sandwich I’ve had. Basically bread with no butter or sauce or aioli with tuna directly from a can and thick cut Greek salad without the feta. Falsely advertised as having Aoli but it was dry and absolutely awful, and it took them 20mins to put this shameful sandwich together. My dog can make a better sandwich and he doesn’t even have opposable things. I mean seriously, look at the photo, it has got to be the sorriest excuse for a sandwich and they charge gourmet prices for their rubbish food and substandard service.

It was a great atmosphere and the place was buzzing. So that was a good start. The coffee came in and it was smooth and my wife really enjoyed her chai latte, "better then next door" she stated. Then we waited and watched other people getting their food even though they arrived long time after us. That was depressing. Then our food finally arrived, great presentation but I waited too long for it and that had already skewed my taste buds. But wait, my plate was incomplete (i did not notice cause of the long wait) It was missing a important element. The breakfast cost about $40 bucks but then I had to pay a card surcharge on top of that. When driving home I had this very greasy after taste that i did not appreciate. But the worst was when i got home and went straight to the toilet to let it pass through me and writing this review with the runs and stomach cramps 3 hours later. Great start, bad finish. Thanks, but not thanks.

A convenient place to have something to eat and drink. Meals are avarage, friendly staff.

Great place to eat , the food is always good, the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I sense that the lovely wait staff and barista are being over watched so instead of them chatting to us they spent more time aligning cups and saucers and wiping tables. I also believe that it would be nice for the owner to come out and meet and greet their clientele from time to time and show some interest in us. The personal touch this cafe used to have is gone. It’s not a hard act to balance, it’s vital to make it happen .

Review Update: 30 June 2014 I went back here on the weekend for breakfast and had the Superman pancakes again. They were even better than I remembered! So filling and feel quite nutritious (despite what they look like). Bananas, oat based pancakes, yoghurt and berries. Worth the trip here just for the pancakes. WOW—the menu was so good I could have eaten everything on it! We went there for breakfast, and I opted for the 'Superman' high protein/low GI pancakes, which is an unusual choice as I usually go for savoury. Turns out it was a great choice, as they were delicious (see pic!). The coffee was also tremendous. We sat out the front and were allowed to bring our dogs. There isn't too much atmosphere, being located right on the main road but luckily the tasty food and friendly staff make up for it.

Consistently good coffee Great food at reasonable prices. Never had a bad meal there and I've eaten there many times. Service can be hit and miss. Some great waitstaff but some lazy ones too. Feel sorry for the owner good staff are hard to find!

Small and much quieter Greek restaurant than most. Really nice change to be able to eat Greek food in a quieter less crazy space than is the norm. Have eaten here several times now and never disappointed. My favourite dishes - the Greek style risotto and the lemon quail.

Love the coffee here and the breakfast. Service is quick and efficient.
I usually order eggs on toast with sides or ask them to make me a wrap and it’s just a simple, delicious breaky meal, no fuss!
An unexpected find in Kogarah, this busy cafe is popular with nearby workers. The menu offers standard cafe fare with a Greek influence. I had the grilled Cajun chicken sandwich with avocado and tomato. It was well constructed and came with a delicious rocket and cabbage side salad with a zingy dressing. My friends had the chicken and lamb souvlaki plate, served with pita, halloumi and salad. The hearty food was honest and tasty.

The service here is an unfortunate let down as the menu and food is relatively good. There is a genuine disinterest for customers and we felt we were faced with a negative attitude from the girl working on the day who seemed more interested in chatting with friends rather than assisting.

Despite Kaimaki being more or less empty, food took some time. We were however pleasantly surprised. Coffee here is good and these guys are licensed. The bruschetta is no better than your average however the lamb salad shines with tender pieces of lamb and beautiful beetroot. Its a shame the staff were such a let down as there is potential here.

Came to this cafe for breakfast at around 11am (weekday) at the recommendation of a friend. Ordered the kaimaki omelette and nick's special. Food and coffee's came out pretty quickly, very friendly staff and really good service. Food was well made, complimentary flavours for both dishes, well presented and decent portions for the price. Coffee beans were Carlini, bit on the tart side for those that are coffee fiends. Would definitely recommend and will return soon! :)

Had lunch here today, they don't have too many vegetarian options which was a bummer. My husband and I both went for the sandwich he had the vegetarian one which had baked ricotta, mushrooms, capers and onions. While I had the smoked salmon with cream cheese, avo and onions.

The sandwich come with either fries or salad and you can get sweet potato fries instead of regular fries for an extra dollar. The sandwich was good nothing extraordinary.

The breakfast menu looked a lot more interesting probably come back for breakfast here again.
I have been to this cafe a couple of times for lunch. Food is average, coffee is good and the staff were nice. You just need to wait patiently though as it takes time to get your food. Working in St George Hospital, I would not recommend this cafe as it is a bit of a long walk.

Good coffee, too hectic for takeaway. Couldn't tell if the barista was talking to us or someone behind us, too noisy so couldn't hear him anyway and there is nowhere to wait as you are either blocking the path of service staff or other customers trying to order. Flustered we bailed to the front doors and tuck between to tables to get out of the way whilst we waited. 2 VIPs were standing near the kitchen talking and ignorantly blocking access to the remaining free tables without consideration for customers or staff. All other tables were full, so safe to assume they had been there a while.

Top quality food but quite pricey when surrounded by the cafes nearby. Rustic feel to the decor, but would still recommend this one to those who are willing to spend a little more if lurking around Kogarah. Would definitely recommend the frappes and blended iced drinks - the sandwiches are also extremely filling and totally worth it!

Hi everyone. Went to this place and ordered a lamb souvlaki with chips. Waited half n hour. Souvlaki measured 17 cm 170 mm With 5 pieces of raw lamb. Hotchips comes in a small soup bowl and have 11 chips. The total bill with a small coke and small coffee take away was 20 dollars. So if anyone wants to get ripped of hard by these greek bandits go in and find out for yourself. no its not in vaucluse its in KOGARAH
