Review Zag Seafood - Kogarah

I haven't had fish and chips in ages. There aren't that many fish and chips shops in Kogarah. With so many roast chicken and Thai restaurants around, it is good to try a different cuisine. They have deep fried and grilled dishes. Very happy to find this fish and chips shop. Decent pricing, great food and nice customer service. They have constant customer flow and have been keeping their ingredients fresh.

Delicious food & amazing customer service every single time. The owner is a stand up bloke and the workers here are great too. You're always guatenteed a great feed here and I cannot recommend it enough if you're in the mood for arguably the best chips in Kogarah!

Made to order, free tartare sauce. FREE SAUCE!! Such a rare thing these days. Although if I were to critique, I think they should have a squeezy bottle available instead of the masterfood snap and squeeze portions to reduce plastic.

Best grilled fish and Greek salad for miles around. Great value, friendly prompt service. Would not drop a dollar anywhere else in the st George area.

Order seafood platters for the family food was exceptionally well cooked and tasty. It was ready on time for our requested pick up and the gentleman serving provide customer service to the highest standard. An awesome local seafood shop.

Ordered grilled fish, chips and salad. Looks nice and lovely service, not too mention efficient but didn't have any flavor. Salad was not that nice, soggy. Prices were good. But everything just needs more seasoning. Did I pick the wrong thing? Ps. Ditch all the plastic cutlery and styrofoam packaging.

Fish cocktails small and skinny. Batter doughy. With all the other great reviews I must of got a bad day. No flavour to fish and no salt on chips

Delicious fish and chips... it's amazing! Really affordable and really amazing service... I arrived 5 minutes after closing and they turned the grill back on and cooked up a feast for me. Best seafood takeaway in the area, in my opinion.

With 4 of us eating we went the Fried Family Pack and a side of Barramundi and seafood salad.

Let's start with the fried stuff! The calamari was soft and crumbly. The prawn cocktails are juicy and fresh. The fried fish and fish cocktail... wow! this made me like seafood again!

The grilled barramundi was smashing, fresh and full of flavor! the seafood salad was herby and delicious. Can't fault the freshness, flavour or generous portion sizes! this place rocks!

The order did come out wrong with no salad and 2 pieces of barramundi, but their customer service was amazing! Two staff came out to apologize, they left both pieces of fish and came back with our salad!

Really friendly staff and open Good Friday so a massive bonus!! With EatsWithMiffy & Kymcia

Amazing food and really inexpensive. They often give you extra and are very generous with portions. Would definitely go back. It's within walking distance from kogarah station and the staff are very friendly.
