Great little cafe with some really delicious food! Great kids play area out the back. Only suggestion would be to have change table facilities for infants
This cafe is on Mollison Street. We stopped by here for an afternoon break after visiting the Kyneton Farmers Market. It was quite busy due to being a long weekend. Grab a menu and a seat and one of the staff will take your order.
We just had a Long Black, Mocha, and Chai Latte. They use Campos coffee so it is all pretty good.
Disastrous service - called in for lunch at very busy time with indoors and terrace heaving with people. 40 minute wait for a Chicken Caesar Salad and Eggs Benedict.
Should have been warned as we ordered at the counter that this was the case. (Apologies from the wait-staff when we enquired as to the status of our order). But at least the salad was good - as was the eggs benedict. Coffee a bit ropey though - too strong and bitter.
Would happily eat here again - as long as it wasn't busy!
Really enjoyable breakfast here today on our last morning in Kyneton. Had the scrambled eggs with fresh chilli, coriander and avocado. Just the right amount of chilli gave it a zing and the fresh coriander was perfect tossed through, fresh sliced avocado on the side was perfect. We also had the potato roesti and eggs Benedict, very generous serves and also delicious. Service was friendly and our meals were delivered within 15 minutes. Will definitely be back next time in Kyneton
Excellent coffee and nice breakfast (but beware, the chilli eggs is as hot as it sounds). Very friendly staff, accommodated our group of 5 adults and 7 kids with no fuss at all. Outside dining area looked great with a sandpit for the kids, but too cold for us today.

Great Brekkie at the Ruby Café in Kyneton. I had a late breakfast today in the Ruby Café in Kyneton and really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly & efficient and my Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was served within 15 minutes of ordering & the café was moderately busy. I loved the décor of medium sized photos of scenic views and the unique tables and chairs. To quote Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be Back".

Awesome coffee, sensationally friendly service and super tasty food! Chilli scrambled eggs with the perfect amount of kick and then today i tried the corn fritters with delicous relish and crispy bacon. Looking forward to working my way through the menu!

Great coffee. You'll struggle to find coffee as good in Melbourne or any other capital city in Australia. Breakfast of poached eggs on sourdough toast with bacon was perfectly and quickly cooked. The cafe has a good vibe with quick, friendly service. Highly recommend.
Finally a good cafe without the Piper st address!. Kyneton- famous for its Piper St eateries, that are often packed to the brim and maybe a little out of your price range if you are just after a light lunch, and not right in the heart of town either.
Ruby is an excellent addition to the heart of Kyneton where all the action happens. The menu has a number of dishes-including all day breaky- and caters to all food lovers, and the whole place is kid friendly with a sand box and other toys out the back.
This stylish little cafe makes consistently great fair trade coffee (which has been hard to find away from piper st, until now!) and the staff are very friendly.
They also do dinner Thur-Sat which is 'a little bit posher' than their regular menu, and their wine list is good too, YUM!
My favourite cafe ever! I have very high standards for cafe food, having come from Melbourne, but Ruby never disappoints! Consistently the best cafe food I’ve ever had. Lovely staff, warm and friendly atmosphere, delicious food - you really can’t go wrong. The staff are attentive and care about your experience. You really won’t regret trying this place out! It’s awesome.

Great spot for a Saturday catch up with friends. Coffee was spot on, and the burger would be my "must have" on the menu.
With a team that's totally attentive and a kitchen crew turning out excellent meals, its well worth a visit!
