As soon as we walked in we knew we were at home. The friendly smile on arrival welcomed us in from our drive from Melbourne. Once at the bar we were given the food and beverage/cocktail menu. The waiter overheard our time frame and suggested time-appropriate food option, which were two excellent share platters and halloumi chips. The cocktails were made in front of us as a professional mixologist would. The food was complimented by the drinks which was a credit to the waiter’s knowledge of their offerings. The energy of the place was from “days gone by” but with a modern flair. I can only wait for the next journey to Kyneton to revisit my new drinking hole!

great revamping by the team, 2 fires, so cosy for a winters evening, interesting menu and wines, you can get tasty snacks with a drink; light and bright, cant wait for summer to sit outside by the park, or to sit and dine with friends
What a great, new addition to Piper St! Friendly, accomodating staff, attentive service, excellent wine by the glass list, food selection and wonderful, classy set-up. We chopse to sit outside overlooking the grassy area. Lovely and relaxing. We'll be back.

Came here on a Saturday night and the place was buzzing. You could choose to view it as a bar with some great food options or as a restaurant with an extensive cocktail list.
Between four of us, we ordered haloumi chips, empanadas, dolmades, ham hock terrine and the charcuterie board. The dolmades were extremely disappointing, they were dry and lacking in flavour. The empanadas were the standout for me, delicious and cheesy, but everything else we ordered was also good.
The cocktails were great but they were slow to come out, which is to be expected when there’s only one bartender looking after them. Service was fine and overall the menu is quite well priced, particularly the charcuterie board for how much meat and bread you get.

Had a lovely experience here on 29 December. Great coffee. Meals of lamb shoulder and short beef ribs were tasty and sides of asparagus salad and haloumi fries were a good addition. Also had the 3 cheese platter which we enjoyed. Staff were very friendly and the venue itself has a good feel to it with an outdoor area overlooking the church park. Will return when in the area again.
Fantastic place for a brilliant meal and a great choice of drinks!

Quite little spot, but the food and service is amazing.
Prices are rather steep for the area, most drinks are marked up to double to retail cost.
Lack of vegan options presented on the menu, however, they were happy to alter dishes. Food was very good.

Nice atmosphere very friendly and great staff .any requests was promptly dealt with. The meals are absolutely mouth watering. And well presented. 3 course meal with drinks was reasonably priced .I'd definitely go there again .
Food was excellent. Small menu with a good local wine and craft beer list.
Both inside and outside seating. Outside seating had blankets and pillows so you could enjoy the garden.
Wood fires for the cold winter days.
Called in en route to Melbourne for lunch, and were lucky enough to snag a table; all the rest were reserved. We felt so lucky that we did. The roast snapper we had for lunch was sublime. Just beautifully and simply cooked. We then proceeded to dessert, which amply filled the promise of the main course. Despite the staff being slammed, they were friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommend, but perhaps suggest booking for Sunday lunch, in case you're disappointed.
