Review Daiki Japanese Restaurant - Labrador

Shimona
Excellent, authentic food. The Una Don is the best I've had so far. Soft, plump, and juicy. Grilled mackeral with salt is another favourite. Just absolutely delicious! Worth the price, if you ask me!

A small authentic Japanese restaurant that runs by only 3 staff but with great customer service and very efficient. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be served. The food is excellent and the staff is very polite. It’s by far the yummiest Udon noodle we had in Gold Coast. Both my kids loves udon noodles so they know their stuff. The beef is very tender, the chicken is moist but you still can get the crispy skin and the tempura is light and crispy. The Agedashi tofu and the sauce goes very well together. We will definitely come back here if we visit Gold Coast again.

Beautiful, homely dishes cooked with love. There are only three people it seemed that runs the whole place, but they did it so quickly, competently and with great customer service. The food is so delish - the sashimi are nice enough but what is amazing is the duck, the wagyu tataki (special), Japanese chicken curry and chicken kaarage. This place is so under the radar - but I will definitely revisit it next time!

One of the best genuine low key Japanese places outside of Japan that I have visited. When you have some guest who are iffy about the cuisine and they come away happy with full bellies you have nailed it! Loved it!

HIDDEN GEM!!! Authentic Japanese restaurant. Ten don and homemade curry soooo nice! One of my favourite local restaurants on the GC. Definitely a MUST TRY!

Excellent food and service. Everything looks clean and the food is presented nicely. Good for kids. Price could be a issue for some but the quality is there.
A wonderful and authentic Japanese restaurant that we have been coming to for years. Daiki will not disappoint even the pickiest connoisseur. The staff are always polite and the atmosphere is decidedly Japanese. I recommend their crispy gyoza and soft agedashi tofu. Daiki is a special opportunity that you will not want to miss.

This is our usual Japanese restaurant when we visit the Gold Coast. Every dish is carefully created by Sue-san, and for the quality of the food, the price is reasonable. There are usually black board specials
as well which suggest interesting dishes. Their tempura is amazing. You can see the kitchen which is spotless and well organised, which is always a good sign and shows the chef's dedication. We always leave this restaurant satisfied.

The best and most authentic Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast, the popular choice of local Japanese customers who expect and appreciate high quality for a very reasonable price.

The food is very good quality BUT it is VERY expensive for the size, for example we ordered a side of hot chips yes hot chips at a Japanese restaurant and there were probably 10 chips in a small plate for 6 dollars it was a bit insulting really. The duck was lovely as were the chicken wings. 50 dollars for 4 small plates of food, just and I say just enough to fill one person up. Perhaps if they dropped their prices a touch or added more food to the plate for the same price this place might not be empty on a Sunday night.

After sadly falling victim to an arson attack, my favourite Japanese restaurant on the Gold Coast is now back and better than ever. Sue-san is a master chef trained in Japan, who used to work in the Japanese Embassy. If he can delight even food-savvy international diplomats, there is no way he will fail to satisfy you. A real giveaway is all the regular Japanese guests, who are notoriously picky! I am not a fan of fatty foods, but his tempura is just the best. Sorry for my poor photos which don't do justice to the amazing presentation and flavour of this cuisine!

SO SO. Quality of the food is good but a bit pricey for what it is and service while polite is a bit on the slow side. Have to wait a while for your food to be served especially when they have more than 3 tables. Still do try it at least once though.

Great authentic, quality Japanese food. A menu that caters for the traditional japanese palate as well as the modern western tastes for asian cuisine. The service from all staff is very polite and prompt. A lovely calm atmosphere set within the restaurant making for a pleasant eating experience. I especially liked all decor around the place, and the cute little sake cups. Would definitely recommend this place! If you see the native people of the cuisine eating regularly at the restaurant, you know it's gotta be good!!

Overall I was very impressed with the quality and flavours of the dishes. The sushi rolls were however quite small. I probably won't order the sushi rolls again. The steak was nice, but could've been more tender. My favourite dish of the night were the chicken wings. Such a simple dish, but it was so tasty!
