I was craving sate padang for long time, last week i actually already been here but i forgot because it’s ramadhan they not open until break fasting time. So I managed again last night, the sate padang was really good, they were using cow tongue (like sate padang in Indonesia should be) rather than beef like other Indonesian resto in Sydney. Even the gravy a bit salty for my liking and not really spicy, but I enjoyed it much. Rice cake/ketupat also firm and nice. $12 for a plate of goodness it’s really worth the money. My friend said their soto padang also best, probably will try next time

You know it’s good when you feel sleepy after you’ve demolished the entire plate. Eat it with your fingers because it’s honestly finger licking good. We had the rendang, lemak ayam, lodeh, tempeh and begedil. Didn’t have the green sambal because I’m a wuss, but the parents had it and were wowed. Will be back for sure.

One of my favorite restaurants, authentic flavor with the charm of a home cooked meal. I’m still searching for an equivalent with no luck.......

If you have been to Indonesian ( not just Bali) you will absolutely love the food quality of this little hidden gem. It sells real Indonesian food and a great sambal. I never endorse buying food not freshly cooked or made to order. This place is an exception.... honestly it's just Indonesian home style cooking. I usually get there noodles with tofu, chilli egg and peanut/ anchovies. I would pay $50 plus for the place served to me when in fact it cost less than $15.

I'm here once a week as I work close by, and the food has never failed me. Flavour and food beats the decor and basic restaurant feel, so don't let it deter you.

One of only a few Indonesian cheap eats in the Western Sydney. No blackboard or menu here, simply tell them dine in or take away and pick 3 or more choices with either rice or noodle. It will cost you around 10 bucks. Those who have been to Indonesia would have tried this "Warung" style experience before.

Staffs are very friendly. More so if you speak Indo/Malay. You don't have to pay up front. Just take your food, pick your drink before taking your seat. Those who love crackers with their meal should head towards the table on the right hand side and grab one. I grabbed a box of fermented Cassava from this table on my way out. The plan is to use this as one of the ingredients for my Indo-style "Halo-Halo" dessert.

I like the food  in general although must admit I was expecting to get more authentic Padang food here.I wasnot particularly impressed with their Rendang as I find it too savoury and lack the spices. The veggie dishes are all right. Would definitely come back.

Bottomline : Good food. Good service Great value.

Holy moly we love us some Padang food, to the point where we made a food pilgrimage to Padang not so long ago. And holy moly we love Warung Ita Padang Restaurant, there's a freshness to the food at Warung Ita that grabs us by the booboos. Nasi campur - three choices on rice, plus ikan bilis because it's essential - about $12. Eggplant, kale'n'green, beans in coconut (how clever using kale, a great substitute for cassava leaves or other greens not so easily found down under) and slow braised meaty bits on the bone.

This is not a overly decorated, high end eatery, but like an average house in Indonesia. Where the dishes are superb and what makes it unique that there are lot of Indonesian people that frequent the joint shows that the flavours are akin to Indonesia. Cheap as chips. Recommend it and has vegetarian options.

This family owned Indonesian Padang restaurant is a very quaint place to go to get a really good feed at a great price. Very tasty, not too hot, or spicy just right. Go try it! Highly recommended this little restaurant. Very filling!

Authentic Indonesian flavours, generous serving/value for money, warm friendly service. Sadly I don't live locally but I would definitely come back here if I was back in Lakemba!

First time won’t be last, and the food was super tasty. I had the beef curry and Veg, Bertie had the fish, chicken curry and some veg. Bertie was a little disappointed there was no pork dish, but he wasn’t displeased with the serving size, I agree it was plentiful. Last but not least, extremely delightful staff and helpful explanations of all the choices. We will be back again.

A nice little Padangnese restaurant in Lakemba that serves a variety of traditional dishes, including sate padang. You can choose from a variety of side dishes to accompany your rice. Friendly owners. Very inexpensive prices.

Delicious selection of home-made hearty Padang/Indonesian dishes that will leave you craving and coming back for more. Part of the challenge will be deciding what to choose. It is cash only though, so come with some cash, and I suggest more than you think because you may end up getting more than you expect.

Great value for very nice tasting Indonesian food. The people are super friendly and the food is authentic. Not too spicy for the Aussie taste buds either. Best Indonesian takeaway in town and you can sit in for a plate full too. I definitely recommend the rendang, eggplant, potato cakes, with rice. The place is a hidden gem. :)
