This Vietnamese influenced cafe/bakery is located on Longueville Road. You’ll need to wait to be seated and grab a menu. Order and pay at the register. Number handed to you and they’ll bring out your food and drink. Choice of seating both inside and out.

Started off with some coffee which they used Toby’s Estate. I had a Mocha and it was a lovely blend. Chai Latte was nice too.

We had the Baked Eggs and Thai Beef Salad. As soon as the order was placed the food was brought out just as fast! The service is lovely and hospitable. The eggs were on the runnier side surround by a tomato based sauce with chorizo, olives, and feta. The awesome baguette was perfect for mopping up the sauce in the pan. The salad was generous size with plenty of tender rump steak. The mixed greens were garnished with cucumber, carrots, cashews, herbs and finished with a lemon nam jim dressing. A lovely plate of food.

They also sell lots of bread too and was definitely tempted to buy some. Maybe next time!

Perfect for my family..kids love the cafe style food, salad and muffins and wife loves the Vietnam food. It's a wonderful mix of two different cuisines. Value for money is also good size is generous. Rustic decors is casual and has its own taste.

Pottery Green Bakers is literally the best cafe in Sydney. I've gone there, and continue to, every week for at least 2 years now and haven't gotten sick of it. The Pho is the best pho Ive even tasted, and I'm a bit of a pho connoisseur. Its also really nice to ask for the pho with tofu. The desserts are great, haven't tried the sausage rolls or pies. Also, the salads are really fantastic, they're substantial, and extremely tasty. Cant go wrong with the juice either.

Soba salad with poached chicken.
It's a light dish with very tender chicken breast, very fulfilling and delicious. Would come back to try other dishes too.

Excellent coffee. Prompt and friendly service. An extensive menu, they do pretty much everything.
The Vietnamese menu options are extensive. We've seen some really impressive dishes going out but are usually only there at breakfast time, looking forward to trying the lunch menu. Highly recommend pottery green!!

When I worked in the area I used to eat here heaps for lunch, every time we felt like pho to be exact. Thus I never tried anything from the breakfast menu although there are a few very tempting options. I quite enjoy the food from here but service does let them down.

By no means did we get the pho from here because it was amazing, in fact it was quite average and not that cheap either. However those damn cravings! Plus it was the only place that sold pho in the area, or my colleagues and I were just lazy and never bothered looking.

When straying from the usual, I’d opt for a salad. I am not a fan of salads as a main meal but the ones at Pottery Green Bakers are different! They’re actually quite filling and very tasty. I used to enjoy the pumpkin salad with either your choice of chicken or haloumi and the quinoa salad. Although the quinoa salad can be a bit of a hit or miss – one time they completely left out the quinoa?? And then when I asked for it, it was just a tiny sprinkle on top. Aside from that the salad itself is quite tasty.

My colleagues ordered the chicken baguettes from here a lot and they were truly delicious, probably the best tasting thing from here to be honest. In particular the lemongrass chicken baguette is amazing, but just so difficult to eat without spilling it everywhere. They are almost double the usual price of a regular banh mi but these are definitely an upgraded version. Recently I had the crisp tofu banh mi and it was equally as difficult to eat but also very tasty. They do give you a fair bit of chili but the seeds have been taken out and are not very spicy.

I remember they made decent coffee here when I used to get it back in the day. Easy to order beforehand and grab to go when leaving for that afternoon hit. I noticed they now have matcha lattes too yay!

Service is so up and down it’s not funny. But for the most part it’s pretty down. Once I even swore never to go back because I was so annoyed, but in the end I think the manager? or who I believe to be the head honcho gave me a couple of sweet pastries in apology, so of course all was forgiven. Food itself scores higher but overall 3.5.

Been there twice, traditional Vietnamese bakery with a modern twist, you can still get a classic pork roll, even a pho!! But they offer the BEST baguette, Delicious!! Crunchy and soft baguette roll, with tasty lemongrass grilled chicken (with sauce) and crunchy Asian salad! What more can you ask for, it ticked all the boxes! Oh!! MUST have hot chopped chili with it. Only down side, it's messy! Don't go there if you try to impress someone!

A lovely bakery cafe on the busy Longueville Road. We came here for brunch and was offered an enticing all-day-breakfast menu. It was a warm summer day so we wanted something light and healthy.

I ordered a Vietnamese Banh Mi roll filled with pate, pork and fresh vietnamese herb salad. The bread was freshly baked and it was crusty on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. It was not an authentic Vietnamese roll but it was tasty regardless. My friend ordered a chicken green tea soba noodle salad and the serving size was enormous! The salad tasted a bit average and lacked a memorable taste, but it was really healthy!

You have to order at the counter in the Lane Cove store, where the Gordon store will take your order at the table.

Why have I never been here before? I’ve walked past a hundred times. On a weekend it's hard to get a table, lucky on a Wednesday morning we walked straight up and grabbed a table out the front. Looking at the breakfast I found it had to choose, so many good options all at a great price of about $15 which is hard to find on the Lower North Shore. My coffee order - a Soy Piccolo, at some cafes the milk curdles. This occurred this morning, with the waiter taking it straight back and making a soy latte instead. I ordered the grilled haloumi poached egg stack, without the hollandaise sauce and with a side of avocado. Unfortunately the haloumi and tomato we're almost cold. My boyfriend ordered the bakers breakfast pan. Will defiantly be back. I’ve heard there lunch is great too!

We came for lunch to this buzzing and warm little cafe and bakery. Impressed by the amount of vegetarian options on the all-day breakfast menu, I ordered from it the Provincial Breakfast ($15) with baguette bread and pesto, fetta, two poached eggs, fresh balsamic cherry tomatoes, and I ordered sides of field mushrooms, and sauteed spinach ($4 each). The bread, eggs, fetta and pesto were amazing and super fresh. The tomatoes were nice although I think roasted tomatoes would be better. The mushrooms and spinach are pleasant but nothing special. My friend ordered a steak pie ($4.50) which she really loved- the sauce inside it especially. So the food is great, although there aren't that many seats, and the service is polite but not warm.

Try the Beef Pho! It's a lovely place, doing a massive turnover in fresh generous sandwiches, wonderful noodle dishes, and some very substantial breakfast and lunch dishes. Excellent bread of course, and good looking and tasting pastries and cakes. Ban mhi and chicken pho both worth leaving home for. Coffee is Toby's Estate and very acceptable. Waitstaff very friendly and attentive although not always on top of things. Downside: they only take cash.

Delicious rustic food, unfortunately a bit of a squish with lacklustre staff though.. The food is rustic and delicious, always a hard time deciding what to get! The french toast with banana and maple syrup is the best I've had anywhere, bar none.

Only downfall I'm sorry to say is the staff/customer service - the staff aren't at all unfriendly or anything but unfortunately every time I've been they are consistently off with the fairies and don't really pay attention to customers a despite them being very polite and friendly, the staff I encountered are just in general really hard to communicate with.

The first time I was there I ordered a takeaway coffee and the girl I ordered from kept changing the price! I gave her the amount she said and then she upped it and said she needed more money so I went to the atm to get more and then when I got back the price had magically changed again! A tad infuriating.

The last time I went we got there at 2:20pm on a Sunday (it closes at 4pm) and it says on the menu the kitchen closes at 3pm. We figured we'd be fine, but nope when we went to order they said the kitchen was already closed which I found a bit ridiculous.

As far as atmosphere the outside is nicer in my opinion, if the inside were bigger it would be a much nicer ambience but currently it's much too squished for my liking and the chairs and tables inside are clunky and awkward to sit at in such a small space.

However the saving grace is of course the food, which is great and definitely worth it.

My local little homestyle bakery, the kids are pretty partial to the cupcakes and gingerbread men; you’ll also find meringues, lamingtons, and plenty of other sweet treats as well as pies, quiches and sausage rolls if you’re after something savoury, and of course a selection of bread. Me, I’m a fan of their oversized sultana scones – light and not too sweet. Keeping true to their Vietnamese roots, the Tran family have introduced beef and chicken pho to the menu, $12. Pho at a bakery? Well, why not. Its a generous, steaming bowl, with plenty of fresh herbs and chilli sauce on the side for extra heat. The broth isn’t as flavoursome as other pho I’ve had, and the chicken is a little tough, but its a filling meal; I notice most people order the beef version, so maybe this is the better of the two. The better pick in my mind is the Vietnamese Pork Roll ($8). Cased in a crunchy bread roll, its packed with a generous amount of salad with a tangy dressing, and worth a try. Pottery Green Bakers

Couldn't have asked for much better - from start to finish, I had a great experience at Pottery Green. I was greeted with a friendly smile by the lovely lady at the till, who took my order efficiently and engaged pleasantly in some chit chat and humorous remarks. Once seated, the halloumi roll and caramel milkshake I ordered was served promptly and with no fuss at all. The atmosphere was welcoming, and particularly enhanced by the choice of music being played inside. I believe the young, friendly lady on the till was in charge of musical curation. Bravo. There is no doubt that I will be returning to Pottery Green.
