Reviews La Provence Espresso Bar

Two hot breakfasts for under $20 is practically unheard of in Sydney these days but La Provence Espresso Cafe's "Salute the Classics" offers a range of affordable breakfast options. We had the waffles with maple syrup ($8) and poached eggs with toast which was served with some greens. Service, while friendly, was a little disjointed with different staff attending to our table; after being greeted and seated, a different staff member came to take our order but we hadn't received menus yet, food was brought to the table but we didn't have any cutlery, there were delays with water being brought out... All relatively minor matters and excusable given the great food and value.

Great cafe serving delicious food. I love the house made sausage rolls and the eggs Benedict croissant. The customer service is very friendly.

Provence Espresso Bar is a quaint cafe in the village area of Burns Bay Road, Lane Cove. They offer coffee, breakfast, brunch, patisserie bites and also catering. . Inside, it is spacious and there’s also outdoor seating. We chose to enjoy our breakfast outside on this occasion. The staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. The owners are a husband and wife duo who had previously run a Japanese fine dining restaurant, Sage, in Crows Nest.

The staff are the best and then.....

Very good menu with a range to suit all tastes and budgets.

Coffee was good. Plenty of dining options in the area but we were pleased with our choice.

La Provence is a new cafe (former bakery) in Lane Cove, right next to Coles. The owners have a mixture of traditional cafe favourites and also some new fusion dishes that are light, healthy and nourishing. La Provence has seating inside and outside. Matt and I stop by on a Sunny but cold Sunday morning. The menu is simple and clean with lots of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. There's not a large deal of protein on this menu, there's particularly hardly any red meat. For Full review including PHOTOS, please go to the BLOG POST

We received a nice invitation for lunch to check out La Provence in Lane Cove. Arthur and Janey had to shut down S’Age Bistronomy in Crows Nest and have moved over west a suburb to take over this casual cafe. It’s very new so will be interesting to see how they attract the local crowd and whether they can pull in folks who knew the old cafe.

Arthur Song and Janie Fu have owned La Provence for almost as long as they had their Crows Nest fine diner, S’Age Bistronomy. The fine diner launched on the day their son was born in June 2016, but sadly closed in April this year. With their attention freed up, they've just finished making some changes to this Lane Cove café. Beginning last May, they gave the venue a spruce-up that included bright, aquatically inspired artwork by Christina Huynh from Brush Project. With a slight name tweak to La Provence Espresso Bar, Arthur and Janie re-launched the cafe in late June. The new menu is an unusual blend of elements from the French-style patisserie it used to be, with a casual version of the intriguing French-Japanese cuisine they presented at S’Age Bistronomy. While here it’s owner Arthur in the kitchen, the dishes he’s cooking were created in consultation with his previous head chef - Tomoyuki Usui. You’ll enjoy dishes like Poached Chicken ($20) from the same beautiful earthenware using...

The newly renovated is lovely, the barista's doing a great job weighing every shot. Menu was interesting and food was nicely presented and on spot.

We recently move to Lane Cove and to be honest, it is not the kind of cafe style we usually like,a bit old. But we are happy that we decide to come inside and tried their cakes and coffee. Enjoy them a lot!

It's cosy but comfortable at this little deli/cafe. The hot chocolates are nice as is the toasted banana bread, but you mustn't go past the specialty chocolates which you can hand pick in the window (try stopping at just a few!). We often go here to get a box for a dinner party or just for a Saturday morning treat and love to spend the time (no one rushes you) to pick just the right ones while eating a few immediately after purchase. We also like the little cakes, which cost around $5 (some more some less) and are lovely. The vanilla slice and the small mud cakes are nice, but my favourite is the choc slice. We can also recommend the family salmon quiche which is my sister's favourite.
Service is friendly and ambience is fine although your best bet is to sit outdoors as there isn't a lot of space inside. Be aware that all items carry a sit down charge (usually an extract 50c a piece approximately) which can be a little annoying.
This is a popular local eatery which I wLuke be happy to return to.
