Dined here last night with two friends and we all absolutely loved it. Service was fantastic, great atmosphere and the food was to die for. I had the Pork Belly entree and Market Fish for main and they were beautiful!! My friends had the Pork Belly & Pretzel bread donut with pickled beetroot for entree and Filet Mignon & a chicken special for Main. Highly recommend Brisbane Street Bistro
Had an amazing birthday dinner here for my partner. Every course was simply delicious, there were a few changes to the menu as well from our last visit which is good to see, started with a selection of oysters, buttermilk quail and old favorite pork belly wraps, always delicious, mains were the bacon wrapped eye fillet, cooked beautifully, fish of the day being hapuka coumd not go past this option as it is a wonderful fish. Dessert was the rich chocolate mousse, a must for chocolate lovers and the bread and butter pudding, we left the place totally stuffed and very satisfied. service was fantastic as well and could not fault it, from the owners smiling face on our entry to the informative and knowledgable table service from our waitress
Absolutely top staff and food. Would recommend it to anyone
Great restaurant lovely cosy and romantic atmosphere, friendly service, and the beef, melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection
Fabulous food wonderful service recommend for a great night out
The best food ever.
Beef cheeks with mustard mash potato, pickled cucumbers, onions. All to die for.
Creme brûlée, ice cream and poached rhubarb. Delicious.
We love coming to this beautiful place...ambience great staff so friendly and amazing food and wine!

Great food but the service is a bit too casual...no announcement of food..just plonked on table...but with a smile.
I will return
Without any bias, and with the least amount of melodrama I can muster, I have, quite simply, had the best dining experience of my life in Australia tonight, ever.
The entree of pork belly was well presented, but it was it's flavour, texture and perfect balance that blew me away. I literally knocked on the door of the kitchen to let the crew know it was the best entree I think I've ever had.
Steak....perfect.
Hazelnut and chocolate tart...it had me sitting out the front on the brick fence reeling in a perfect food coma.
The atmosphere and the service has been both engaging and sublime.
I can't remember the last time I reviewed a restaurant , and I eat out often for business, but hands down, this is the best I've been to in Australia, and I've dined at hundreds.
Bravo. Incredible.

Had dinner there with my son...his first time there and in short.....the food was incredible! NYE dinner, 4 courses 3 choices for each so we both selected different things to try and share. The staff were great fun and helpful, really enjoyed the calvados and even the coffee was awesome.
the restaurant is in a stunning building and as I said just couldn't even go close to faulting the food or the timing of each course.
Amazing and cant wait to go again soon
Came in for an impromptu dinner with friends, got to enjoy the 6 course degustation, service was amazing for our undefined wine pallets with a side of light banter. Will eat here again and again and again.
The food was excellent as was the service. Our waitress M was very professional and friendly. I had the venison and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
Best meal I've ever eaten in Tassie. Lovely fitout, great service and sublime food. Big props to Terry and his ataff.
The best fine dining restaurant in Launceston !! Terry and his team are by far the most professional team around!! Food and wine matching are sublime and FOH top of the range!!
Faultless. Food was innovative yet using locally sourced seasonal produce and the service unobtrusive yet friendly.
Mini cauliflower soup & tiny bread rolls to start were delicious. Can't fault the food it was superb, great dining, compliments to the chef & waitresses. So happy we changed restaurants.
Awesome meal... the entire evening was brilliant. Staff were very attentive and professional. Food was just delicious. 😀
We had dinner here on our last night in Tasmania, and as it turned out we had the best saved for last. We had the 6 course degustation and it was divine. I had the matched wines and they went very well with the meals. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and went out of her way to make our night unforgettable. I would love to come here again next time we are in Launceston!
Best place to in in Launceston 6 course degestation unbelievable.
Christmas dinner for 30 people. Both the food and service were impeccable.
I don't actually know where to start. My experience on Saturday night was superb. We had the degustation. Every course was inventive, prepared to perfection and clearly used the absolute best ingredients! The wine selection was also perfect. And the young man who looked after us for the evening was so polite and knowledgable. He spoke like he genuinely knew what he was talking about and had superb opinions on everything he presented. Highly recommend everyone should visit here
Yesterday we had the best Xmas lunch ever (and we've had a few!) Can't fault it..perfect in every way..hoping it will be on again next year!
Our favourite place to go in Launceston. The food is always superb and I love the atmosphere in the beautiful old building.
Always great service and great food and great wine. What more could anyone want. :)
Amazing! We had the 6 courses with 6 wines and it was fantastic!
Beautiful food and wonderful staff. A divine night out.
Lovely food, but we did not get enough food with the degustation. The vegetarian dish was the highlight it was Cauliflower and pear. Overall I think total protein was less than 150g. If it wasn't for the free cheese platter we would of left hungry.
Wandering the streets alone and stumbled upon a gem. Great food, great service, food a little pricey but for good reason. Will definitely return when in town again.
Delicious food and friendly informed service. What a Launie gem! We had the 6 course degustation menu ($95). Highlights were the Blue Eye Trevalla with cous cous and the 63 degrees egg with asparagus. I would recommend BSB.
Beautiful building with attentive service. Complimentary starters we welcome and mains came out rather quickly and were spot on. Steak was above cooked as per request overall high quality.
Fine dining at it's best. A gorgeous setting in an old terrace house. The menu has multiple gluten free options and only the best quality food is served. Great friendly service.
Cosy yet classy little restaurant. Stunning food with first class wine selection. From the time we stepped over the threshold to the time we left, we were wowed by Jack the restaurant manager, a local guy with an impeccable knowledge of the produce and wine in the region. Our duck and apple blueberry pudding blew us away. Pricey but well worth the experience.

We ventured north with trepidation, only to be blown away by the level of sophistication and elegance presented by Terry and the staff at Brisbane Street Bistro. If you’re ever in town, don’t pass up the opportunity to dine at one of Tasmania’s best restaurants, just don’t order a Cascade Premium!
Absolutely outstanding meals and service amid a modern take on Victorian era decor. The meals had well balanced and nuanced flavours and enjoyable textures. The use of great local produce really enhanced the freshness and flavour. You could tell a lot of thought and love had gone into the menu creation. It really felt like food, elevated to another level. The service was prompt and professional, welcoming and friendly. The interior design was impeccable, as was the cleanliness. Save room for the delicious desserts!
Our server, Jaimee an expectional waiter, attentive to all customers dining there on Friday night.
Meals a 10/10 delicious, filling and beautiful! Compliments to the chefs.
High end food & wine , it was on my bucket list to dine here and now I can't wait to go back!

The best food we had in Launceston. The food was immaculate and highly evocative, bringing back childhood memories. We had the octopus, the duck and the fish. All of them were delicious and the duck in particular was our favourite. We could tell that immense care and love was put into the preparation of our food. The bistro was intimate and the service from Jamie was lovely. The lemon/lavender mocktail was also very tasty. This place is a must go when you are in Launceston and we will definitely be back!
A
Hands down the best duck I've had in Tasmania.
Absolutely lovely waitress as well!
Staff were very friendly and helpful! I ordered my main dish of duck breast which was fabulous, with the very crisp duck skin and crisp potato! Love it! They went well with the oyster mushroom and their sauces. The portion size was very good for me.
However, the sweet potato gnocchi which my hubby ordered was so much smaller than we expected, there were exactly 9 pieces of gnocchi in the plate and the rest were carrot and potato, which charged 42$ same as the duck breast I ordered. The gnocchi is certainly overly priced when it compared to the duck breast.
We had to get some take away sushi to fill my hubby stomach.
One of the best dining experiences I have enjoyed in years. The waitstaff were so knowledgeable and not only would answer questions, but gave recommendations that improved our dining experience. The food was expertly prepared. Will be going there again.
Some great food was had here. While not my number 1 go in town, there were definately some tastey and unique items I would want to share.
Incredible!
We did the degustation. The food was delicious, the matched wines were spot on and the service was excellent. I didn't get the servers name but he is a credit to the business. His food and wine knowledge was so good. Will definitely be back.
