Awful experience. Will never visit again. Home cook Steaks are better than this place. Steaks we’re over cooked.

Had a beautiful dinner here with a big group of family twice now and cannot be more impressed. Food quality is outstanding and worth the price, service is exceptional and the venue has a great ambience. You won't be disappointed

Dreadful experience. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait for a well done steak. No more than 15 people in the restaurant, we waited 55mins. We were attending a show which started at 7.30pm and the food was brought out as we were leaving. 55 mins wait and the manager expected us to pay for the meals. We were told...you should have come earlier...it was our fault because we ordered well done steak...that's how long it takes to cook....never again@

Very nice unhurried ambience. The staff are lovely. A really different menu with something for all tastes. We had steaks which were absolutely delicious.

We had such a lovely dinner here with our children. The staff are professional and engaging, the food was delish and they even offer a great children’s menu. Totally exceeded our expectations, and was a perfect place for dinner on a miserable Tasmanian night!

There is a saying that you should never eat where you sleep but this restaurant does not fit that saying.
There is a good outlook and a spaciousness combined with very good service and well prepared and well presented food.
A special mention for Trent, who looked after us. He was so attentive and his knowledge of wine was amazingly extensive and helpful

At the Casino this Restaurant is a stand out. I stay at the Casino just so I can have dinner here when travelling. The Eye Fillet is amazing. Generally some complimentary apetisers and a great wine list. Dated decor but fine dining experience.

Great food, just don't try to call.. I Took my partner there for her birthday, as our original plan was scuttled as the restaurant we want to go to was closed on mon/tues nights. I tried booking over the phone, but couldn't get through. Reception put me through, but no answer. We eventually got a booking via reception at the Country Club, they said there was probably no answer as there was a service on for 2 groups. The place is not easy to find if you don't know the area. We eventually did.
Once there we realised the 2 groups were the only people there, so the place was 2/3s empty.
The decor is a bit old and dated. But once settled, the staff were very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable.
We were thrown a few extras here and there, which was nice. The meals were excellent, of a high quality and well matched ingredients. The Venison was very tender and the stuffed mushrooms fantastic.

Absolutely loved the amazing mushrooms and chicken confit. I also loved the strawberry panacotta with balsamic ice cream. Definitely going back again.

Poor service. Had to ask for drinks to be refilled numerous times. Ran out of 2 mains before 8.30pm with less than 10 other people in the restaurant. After advertising on the menu all meals serves with bread, our bread plates were cleared with no bread served. Only to have the bread come out after requested, no bread plates left!
Disappointed. If you want to place yourself amount launceston's top establishment's you're going to have to lift your game!

The menu at the Terrace is similar; modern french inspired cuisine with an impressive wine list that has won many awards. AJ and I were interested in exploring the dessert selection here so decided over two nights to treat our palates.
