Great atmosphere, food and service! Ordered the seafood platter and surf n turf and could barely finish it there was so much food, all delicious.
Got to cook my scotch fillet, prawns and scallops exactly how I wanted them on the stone grill which was fun, and they were all mouth-watering!
Our waiter Amy was very attentive and friendly!
Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend!

The gimmick for this place is sending your meat out on a 400 degree paver and cooking it yourself while you eat it.
And it's amazing. I had the paddock to stone (beef, lamb and chicken) and it was amazing. All the meat was tender and juicy. Only complaint (that was entirely my own fault) was that I left some chicken on the stone a little longer than I should have and it had started to dry out.
For dessert I had the Mushroom and my partner had the koala.... wild koalas need to be careful, the cream and sponge flesh was amazing.
Service was top notch. We weren't waiting long for anything even though the page was packed an we were surprised to find ourselves leaving only an hour after we had sat down.

Amazing food, amazing service, great local wine list and great vibes. After a long day of hiking in Cradle Mountain, we were really hoping Caract would deliver. And deliver they did. It was a perfect ending to a long day. Will be back again for sure.

Great service, delicious food, slow cooked lamb shoulder was absolutely perfect.
Gnocchi was just as good and the deserts were very difficult to decide on, we went with the Panooki, like nothing I’ve had, will come back tomorrow night to try another desert.
Wines where to match. Would eat here regularly if local.
Very good service with all waiters. Pleasure.

Steak was the 300g Scotch fillet cooked medium rare. Entree was the octopus and potato skins. Dessert is the panooki.
Loses a couple stars due to the service and incredibly long wait time for food (over 70 minutes). We ordered our meals at 6:45pm. Our entree arrived within 20 minutes at 7:05pm. However, we did not receive our mains until 8:20pm which really dampened our experience.

One of the best restaurants we visited in Tassie! Our server Patrick was an absolutely star. Super accomodating and an absolute laugh. They are so lucky to have him. The food and drinks were great as well!

Beautiful food and service, we had Elijah as our waiter for the evening and he was just lovely, very welcoming and polite. All the staff were. Compliments to the Chef, it was the best pork belly i had ever eaten! 100% recommend!

My boyfriend & I had such a lovely experience at Cataract on Paterson last night! It's so exciting and refreshing finding another high quality bar/restaurant that caters to vegans!! :) We had delicious vegan wine, a vegan risotto followed by the best vegan indulgent dessert we have ever had - a delicious panookie!! It was so nice being made to feel welcomed about our food choice. :) They have excellent staff, and the decor and atmosphere is perfect! I can't wait to go back, and will bringing lots of family and friends with me!

Last night we celebrated our joined birthdays and that was our first time to go there and I had high expectations on the venue, the service and most especially the food. I was also told that it’s gonna be noisy because it’s going to be full. Well, we were not disappointed. We were treated graciously and the food we had were delicious. I could not stop praising the food, we even shared our food so that we can expand the experience and it was amazing. Loved the experience and we will go back there again and will definitely recommend to others. Friends recommended this place to us. Excellent place. 😊.

The location is easy to find and convenience.
The service is good and the eye fillet (best) is so delicious with the sangria complement the meal!
However the blue eye trevally (very fresh) dish need to improve on the vegetables, which is over cook

I was very impressed with this restaurant. The insane cocktail blew me away. It was like a dessert and very reasonably priced. Was very busy the night we attended which did slow service down a bit but it wasn’t bad considering. We had a baby with us and he was catered too as well as can be expected.
The food was exceptional and I will definitely be back.
I wish I could have tried many more items but I will next time for sure. 41/2 stars for me. Well done!

Peach and passionfruit daiquiri excellent.
Just had the entree scallops as not very hungry. But they were so small, I've never eaten Tasmanian scallops before. Used to much larger ones in NZ.
