Review The Irish Pub Launceston - Launceston

Yohan David
I won't comment on the pub/drinking experience because I never partook, but their food is surprisingly amazing! Special mention to the fries which I think are the best I've had in Launceston. If you go there for their steak or parmi deals, trust me, you will question how this joint breaks even because there is no compromise in quality or taste. The restaurant experience and service will not swoop you off your feet, but it has the "my trusty local pub" feel to it which you will appreciate and love. Give The Irish a chance, you won't regret it.

Nice venue, but menu unfortunately the same as every other pub in town. Went there as the website menu had exciting options only to find they were recently scrapped. Be careful on the parking as there is no free parks on site. Park across the road.

Overpriced, inedible food. My friend had ants crawling out of her burger, my $25 baked potato was a single potato missing the slaw and sour cream it was supposed to come with. When we told the waitress about the ants, she just said “I’ll let the kitchen know”. Very disappointing.

Amazing service, probably the best pub meal we've ever had. So happy to find someone that can pour a Guinness properly outside of Ireland. Great job!

Thursday Parma night is gonna be a regular thing... great selection! Also, just gotta say that Lily provides great customer service... as does Jack behind the bar (I think his name is Jack).

Passing through Launceston on our trip around Tas and visited this pub. Wouldn't be going back in a rush. Food was only OK, nothing to write home about. We were the only Irish there and were met by some rude, seemingly usual young crowd of the bar who asked us the leave the area as there was a 21st birthday on at 10pm, and threw ice across the smoking area at us. Not fun. Wouldn't be associating it with Irish pubs as this is NOT the welcoming spirit of 99 percent of Irish pubs abroad.

Me and my kids eat here every Wednesday night for their Steak Night... Can't beat the friendly service and value of the food 👍👍
