Review Elaia - Launceston

One of the nice restaurants in Launceston. Food is great and staff are friendly. There is on street parking and sometimes it difficult to find a good spot. This is a busy place. Toilets are at the back of the building and you need keys from restaurant to access them. We ordered Fish & Chips, Pizza, Burger etc. Service is great and delivered on time.

Thank you to all of your staff who made our visit this morning an experience and not just a transaction. Our breakfast order wasn’t run of the mill however it was exceptional and the service was outstanding as was or meal. Thank you for also making our puppy welcome with your outside seating. Once again thank you and keep up the great work. The owners should be proud of each and every one of you. See you again soon Dave.

My husband and I visited last week for dinner. We shared an entree and both had a main. Started with their cocktail, then a glass of wine with dinner. Everything was just beautiful. Food hot and very tasty. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back

To die for cuisine, incredible atmosphere, wonderful staff. Could not ask for a better lunch venue. One of the nicest restaurant's in Launnie.

We were visiting Launceston and had breakfast at Elaia's on my 8 y.o.'s birthday. We had the pork belly benedict, pancakes with bacon & maple syrup, berry compote & lemon curd pancakes - all very generous servings and yummy! Good coffee too. I passed the staff a candle to put on top of the birthday boy's brekkie and the staff came out singing happy birthday as they presented him with his (pan)cake! Totally unexpected! It made his day! Thankyou for making it an extra special experience.

Such a great find during our visit in Launceston. So good, in fact, that we ended up having brekkie here 3 times during our week in town. The main, initial draw was Anne, who was the barista/server on shift. We were walking by on Saturday evening (our first night in town) and stopped to look over the menu out front. She popped out to chat us up and we immediately decided we were coming back for breakfast on their next day open. The pancakes with bacon & maple are to die for. Be sure to add on a serve of hash browns to make it just that much extra!! You must eat here!!

We had the most gorgeous meal for Valentines Day. The drinks were beautiful, fish and steak superb, dessert platter lovely and my martini espresso topped off the evening. Thank you

Just had a wonderful meal! Wait staff were great - very courteous and efficient. The mezze plate is huge - lovely dips and plenty of them. If you don't have a big appetite definitely order the entree size in the risotto. I ordered the mushroom and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had the eye fillet with vegetables and said it was the best steak and the most well cooked (medium to well) he's had in a long time. Coffee was also brilliant. Very enjoyable impromptu meal. Thank you to all the staff.

Booked for dinner last night but the meal was unfortunately not the usual high standard. The steak was super dry and very chewy and tiny with not much else on the plate for the price. The service and company I was with were amazing and I wouldn’t let one bad meal turn me off going back as I’m sure it was a one off. Elaia is normally a favourite of mine.

The pineapple juice was the best part of breakfast which is not the apple juice I ordered.... food was dry and over cooked. There's not many people who can fu€k up bacon, but these guys gave it a red hot go! We won't be back...

We've been to Elaia countless times and the service is always great. Even when it's really busy, like it was yesterday, the staff never seem flustered and almost seem like they're working even harder to give you a good experience. And breakfast and coffee are always delicious

Overpriced for the type of food on offer! Garlic Pizza $23.90, that is crazy!!! The main meal was so small, the Squid come with 8 deep fried pieces of Squid and nothing else...not even any salad and that was $29!! We won't be back!

Went there yesterday and ordered the Elaia catch - I had to check I hadn't ordered an entree size (which it doesn't come in) as it was tiny, with two of the smallest fish pieces (scallops were delicious though). It was missing the squid and dipping sauce. The salad was chopped iceberg drenched in olive oil. Even if everything had been on the plate $30 is overpriced for the quality and quantity. On the plus side the waiting staff were lovely and they didn't charge for a coffee and offered a free desert as compensation. Compared to twelve/eighteen months ago I was Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Great service, great food. Thought it was a bit pricey when I got here, but then got my breakfast and it was 100% worth it.

The most disappointing breakfast and service of my life!!! Eggs were hard as rock and disgusting. Had to ask for the feta that was supposed to come with the meal. Was given hard cheap feta that should never be served with breakfast. Was offered water for the table (without disclosing that it would cost anything!!). As Basic as it comes!

Thank you to the wonderful girls who made my friends first trip out in a wheelchair so positive. Delicious lunch and such friendly service all finished off with great coffee. A big thank you.
