Review Zambrero Launceston - Launceston

Went there today for the first time the nachos were wonderful and the staff were fantastic. One small thing though the stools weren't for me I had to stand up and leave to have my drink as I couldn't take the stools much longer perhaps some regular chairs would be good. Although the couch looked comfortable I wasn't sure if I could eat sitting on the couch or if it was there for you to sit while you wait.

Been here more than a few times now. I don’t recall an incorrect order and only occasionally have a felt ever so slightly the meal was smaller than past visits or others stores. Overall they’ve been doing a great job. Definitely one of the fastest takeaways in Launceston and possibly the fastest Zambreros in the country. One of the few drive through ones, I’m yet to see another.

First time being here. Walked in and asked if I could place an order and received just a blank stare and no communication. Not sure if you can order in here or you have to do it online or by phone first? The girl at the counter, after saying hi, just stared blankly at me and didn't respond. I'm sure the food is great, unfortunately didn't get a chance to find out as I was made to feel I had done something wrong by asking to order.

Oh boy, it was a struggle finding an open Mexican eatery at quarter to four in the afternoon on the Frist Friday after the new year here at Launceston. But I can tell you without hesitation that Zambrero exceeded beyond expectations. The restaurant itself is very spacious and offers ample seating. The place was cooled to a comfy 20s which was perfect on the day we went. Service delivery by the staff was exceptional. Brittany fulfilled my order of Nachos professionally, carrying out my specifications while offering great suggestions of toppings and heating method. She was very personable and quick about things and before I knew it the order was all done and I pretty much scoffed the meal down. The ingredients were crisp and fresh. Loved the crunch of the tortilla chips and tomato salsa. Guacamole was fresh and the melted cheese delectable. One serving wasn't enough as I enjoyed my experience so much so I actually ordered an additional order of the very same bowl of Nachos. This time served by Curtis who was friendly, efficient and professional. Great service delivery and scoffed the second bowl down in minutes. If you want your tex mex craving sated and experience a Subway-level of customisation and ingredient freshness (actually think Zambrero is better) then look to further than Zambrero Launceston. You will not be disappointed.

Food was fine but the girl taking drive through orders needs customer service training. Could have had a MUCH better meal if options were explained.

Should update the time on google correctly. Always shuts early than actual time. Went at 8:30 to place order but guy said they are closing early because they don’t have anything like seriously having this big franchise and don’t have enough stuff to finish up with day. Disappointed.

very confusing experience. So I walked in on a normal Tuesday evening (7.30pm) and saw a staff inside of the counter. During the time I checked in with my app (checkin TAS), he didn't say hi or hello but just disppeared back to the kitchen. I noticed there is no food shown in the counter which is weird as they close at 8:30pm. I asked twice that "is there anyone here?" and "are you guys closing?" but no response from the kitchen, all I can hear is the washing/cooking? noise. So I went to the other store in the brisbane st, good food in general, bad service and experience in this store.

Can be very difficult with a one way street to find it, then not well signed entrance to drive thru. However once we finally got in, food was speedy, good service, delicious burrito.

Went on opening night, the staff were amazing (but you don't have name tags so I can't leave specific compliments). We had a burrito and nachos.. which were both horribly flavourless. The only flavour I could get was of old socks (which I'm pretty sure is cilantro or corriander as that's what that herb tastes like to me) in the nachos. I had really high hopes but it was just so bland. The Nacho chips may as well have been cardboard. We won't be back, sorry guys :(

Who doesn't fancy some finger licking delicious Mexican food! Go in for a breath taking feed that will make you drool like there's no tomorrow! Seriously! Life without Mexican food is like no life at all! For every Burrito or Bowl you purchase at Zambrero, a plate of food is donated to someone in need! So when you're feeling hungry! Go into Zambrero! and get a feed that's super heathy and even try out something from the IQ range that will make you full for longer! Can't get better than that I say!

Drive-Thru queue blocking traffic but plenty of parking over the road, short queue inside first Friday night of opening (10 mins), but once at the counter super fast (less than 3 minutes) service for my pork IQ bowl! Very tasty and filling, I'll be back again!

Love Zambrero but it’s too hit and miss in Launceston - just ordered a chikito with extra rice and got the extra rice in a bowl rather than in the wrap... last time the rice was raw, hit and miss with the ingredients being right... disappointing as when it’s made right it’s awesome!

Love the food, very tasty. Only complaint is the tall older girl cannot wrap a burrito to saver her life, every one i have had from her wasnt wrapped correctly or was split completely making it pretty much inedible. Will certainly be asking for someone else to make mine from now on.

You're amazing Zombrero. I will continue to repeatedly enjoy your delicious food. I feel sorry you have to deal with some of the ridiculous reviews on here. People complaining of price when the food couldn't possibly leave you feeling ill afterwards. As well as each meal contributing to such an important cause. You're bringing the fresh, right ideas to the food industry in Launceston and I hope these haters become few and far between. Love, Burrito demolisher. P.s. Burrito eating competition???? Seriously delicious! Good value for money, healthy and filling. A great post gym meal! I can't get enough of the tasty options, especially the black rice - yum! Zambreros is my new favourite! �

Yum yum yum! So filling and delicious!!!! I Think for a restaurant that has only been opened such a short amount of time, the staff are doing a great job! Think some people are being a bit harsh with their comments. Give them a chance to settle!!!! ❤️❤️❤️��� I'll be back!

Elderly couple......looking for a quick bite. Loved our meal. Staff very friendly although not sure how fast it would be if it had been crowded. Loved the black rice and the refried beans. Found the smaller version of the burrito enough for me. Only comment would be to make sure customers know that there is coriander in three of the four salsas as many people don't like the taste of this. Other than that. Great.....and good on you for having a go.

Very disappointing. Not enough food for the price. Ordered vegetarian burrito believing it would have beans and rice as advertised on the menu but it was just filled with lettuce and salsa.

I loved that I could find a good selection of gluten free options. Great work and it tasted great.

Spent $30 on nachos and a wrap tonight. Nachos very small, wrap was just full of soggy salads and the tiny little bits of meat that were on both meals were just mush. Looks like it was put in a blender. Very tasteless and had to go get subway afterwards as the servings were so small. Overprice rubbish. Will never return.

My mum and I visited yesterday for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be going back. We could not fault the flavor of the food, it was delicious.

The food is fresh and delicious, maybe a bit more expensive but the animals are treated properly and it helps someone else have a meal win win!! You could spend the same at maccas on a large meal that's processed and loaded with sugar but If you want quality you have to pay a bit more.

Although I waited 10 mins in drive through, I was worried the quality was going to be compromised due to popularity. I was pleasantly surprised the meal was fantastic and to have a family meal is great :-)

1. Flavours were there but not what I expected 2. Price omg over the top for a little thing with might as well say no meat 3. Not very filling really I can get a sub for less that does better.

How nice is this place, such a fresh take-out option. Congratulations to all concerned, don't mind the negatives some people find it difficult to say "well done for having a go". Good luck with this venture, I love the concept of helping those less fortunate and am more than happy to support. My experience with Zambrero has been all positive, congratulation on a friendly team. Come on Launceston, show some love.
