Visiting this place from last 3 years, always had great experience. Best food hands down.
Similar to the wyndham vale branch of fresh chilli which we visit often, this branch is also superb. They really offer one of the best thai food we have had.
The interiors and ambience is good and specially love the serving staff dresses.
Food is undoubtedly amazing be it any dish you order accompanied by coconut water or thai milk tea.
The complex has only 1hr parking limit so that is the only thing you need to be mindful of when visiting.
Ordered take away. The lady on the phone was attentive. The food was made on-time and was very delicious! The prawn penang curry had a generous serve of plump prawns in the curry. The pad Thai was well seasoned.
Have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Delicious food with a friendly smile. Love this place and recommend it to everyone that loves Thai food or those that have never tasted it. Well done keep up the great work.
This Thai place in laverton is one of the most frequented for Thai food in the west, we had this place a few times now and the quality is consistent.. this time we tried the chicken satay skewers and pork pad Thai.. yummy!!
The best Thai food ever. Everything I have had here is good. I had the green curry and roti with peanut sauce. I would eat here every day if I could
Busy restaurant that was able to accommodate the two of us despite not having a booking.
We had the chicken spring rolls for a starter which were very nice.
We both had a stir fry dish with vegetables, I had chicken and my girlfriend had beef. We both enjoyed our mains.
She also had a very tasty serve of coconut rice.
The serving size of our mains was very generous.
I would definitely recommend this place and we would return.
Mish 🍔❤️
The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the staff are very nice and polite.
We had set menu B and a few other dishes, All the food tasted nice, my favourite was the satay chicken skewers.
My least favourite dish would have to be the banana fritter due to the type of banana used.
Very good service in a well set dinning room. extensive choice of beverages. Food very well presented. Staff are well dressed and the décor is nice . Atmosphere is pleasant with background music and not to noisy. tables are well spaced for privacy. Food was really good and ample serves.Left satisfied full and happy. 4 stars Plus
What a local gem! I've driven passed this restaurant for the last six years and finally had a chance to give it a go. I'm so glad we did! Upon walking in, it came to my surprise that the restaurant was quite big inside. From the outside I had thought it was a small take away store. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a real feel for the thai culture. We picked out all of our favourite dishes and were very impressed at the quality, quantity and value of the food. We will be coming back and recommending to our family and friends to visit.
My absolute favourite Thai restaurant. It is a go to place every time to curb authentic Thai food cravings!
The service is good, the dishes aren’t overly priced, serving size is generous and the taste is awesome!
My favourite- Pad Kee Mao and Curry Puffs
Great food specially the larb gai and prawns stir fry.The staff is very well presented and the place and service is really good. You can taste the freshness in the food only bad thing is that they don’t deliver.
Quick service and nice staff. Pad Thai was really nice and the sizing was quite generous which I was happy about. The seafood platter tasted alright but I guess I should have tried something else instead.
This is our favourite place to eat. We get takeaway from here very often and have never found a dip in flavour or quality. We have tried several different dishes here (pad Thai being our favourite) and loved all of them. And very reasonably priced! You cannot get better takeaway in the area!
I've always been skeptical about trying Thai food elsewhere than home. This place delivers great tasting dishes at a good price. With my love of big feeds, we opt for the 5 course banquet. The chicken curry was perfect, not too sweet and has a good hit of chilli. The laab was outstanding, nothing to fault except I would have loved more cucumbers with the meat to balance the strong flavours of the meat. Their coconut ice cream was fresh and had true textures of coconut flesh. Busy place to dine on a weekday so would recommend to book.
Having been to many Thai places I can safely say this is one of the best. Service is good and the ambiance is even better. Yet it is the food that shines the most!
I am never disappointed eating here. We got a table quickly as it was a Tuesday night and only for 3 people. Generally, I would recommend booking. We selected the 'Set Menu A' and had choices from there. The portions were generous and the coconut ice cream was delicious. Highly, recommend this place.

Delicious food, unable to find any fault in quality of good and speed of service. Even the size of the soft drinks were generous. The flavors in the Masman curry were beautiful and the salads were super fresh. Friendly service and reasonable prices make this local a winner. Definitely recommend giving it a go and taking friends/family there for a night out
Best thai food. Tried soups first, loved the soups. Best soups they have got i think in melbourne. The food was bit spicy i guess but its thai so does make sense. Good customer service too. Would highly recommend.
Had dinner at Fresh Chilli Thai with my family and meals were amazing. Everyone had a lovely time and food was just unbelievably great. Thanks for a lovely service. Will definitely be back again.
Delicious food! We had take out but it looks like a great place to eat in also, the staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food was faultless: delicious, fresh and authentic flavours. My personal stand out dishes that will keep me coming back are the Chicken Curry Puffs, the Golden Bags and the Chicken Panang Curry.
If we were ever to move out of the area, I would happily travel for their food. They definitely outshine other Thai restaurants I've tried, you won't be disappointed.
This is my favorite Thai Restaurant in Melbourne!
Monday night was busy in Laverton to my surprise. The staff were all dressed in their matching green uniforms which added a nice touch to the already pleasant decor.
The staff were attentive and friendly as they seated us and took our order.
We tried the following dishes:
Vegetable Spring Rolls
Vegetable Curry Puffs
Roti bread with peanut sauce
Stir fried beef with cashew nuts
Red Duck Curry
Spicy Fried Rice (with pineapple)
The food was outstanding! The produce was fresh and bursting full of flavors due to the use of fresh herbs and tantalizing sauces.
The standout dish for me was the beef and cashew nuts. The sauce was so yummy, it’s sweetness and balance of flavors contrasted with the crunch of the stir fried vegetables was perfection. The roti bread was also to die for and a perfect appetizer.
I was very impressed with the portion sizes and the value for money. All our leftovers were also kindly packed up for us into take away containers which was lovely.
This restaurant is clearly a family favorite for the locals and now for me too! Highly recommended if you love authentic Thai cuisine.
Nice evening at this restaurant, it was crazily busy however they were able to squeeze us in for an hour dinner. Food was nice and well presented, we had the banquet for 2 at $70. Just enough food. Would definitely come back again.
I've come here three times so far in the last six months.
This place is clean, classy, yet busy (not conducive for quiet conversation).
There's were many westerners here, as well as Asians. It was a mix of ethnic groups who frequent this restaurant.
The restaurant customises the amount of Chili and spices in their dishes based on customer's preferences, and spice/chilli threshold.
I would recommend this place to bring your friends from out of town.
One of the best Thai restaurants in Melbourne! The coconut rice is fragrant and sweet, Larb is also a must order dish. The fried rice and omelette is the best combination, my kids love them.
Their food is very delicious! We have been to this place a few times and absolutely love it. We have tried red curry, pad thai, spicey rice and tomyum soup. Everything was worth trying!
Amazinggg food loved everything we had!
We had the chicken pad Thai. Red duck curry and the tom yum soup and rice! Everything was delicious!
The Pad Thai is really good at this place, one of my faves. Went there last night and ordered a few dishes with family. Most dishes were very sweet, more so than usual, which was disappointing. Friendly staff, but you need to get their attention to order or clear any plates from your table. A bit hit and miss lately.
The most amazing Thai food I've had in Melbourne. Everything is divine and has so much flavour. And it's reasonably priced, and the staff are always super lovely. The only negative is that it has ruined other Thai restaurants for me.
Yum yum yum!!! Love this restaurant so much!!! Felt like I was in Thailand as soon as I walked in. Not sure why but thai staff are always so friendly. The food serving size is massive, food is super delicious, tasteful and authentic! My fav dish here is the pad Thai and green curry chicken
100% have to give this 5 star! (Previously gave it only 4 cause of wacky customer service one time but they have made up for this when I went back!)
You should definitely make a reservation as this place is busy even on weeknights!
NOW on to the food!! 🍲🍜🍱🍝🍣🥘🍧
I literally love it SO much, got so many dishes to try and everything was so filling and flavourful, you will be satisfied coming here 100% because I have been so happy and full and satisfied and in love every time I've come and the fact it's so busy all the time must be saying something👍🏾👍🏾
Good thai food in the west! Roti bread is a must for entree as well as the spring rolls! Food is pretty yum! I don't recommend the larb, there's soo much red onion in it they that it over powers everything! Decor is nice and the staff are friendly! Good for dinner with friends and family :)
I love their beef salad. It had a good balace of meat and herbs, from sweet and saltiness from the thai dressing, it just a heaven to my mouth. The deep fried fish was great too. Only the coconut rice ruined my appetite. It was too sweet for my liking. We should have ordered just a plain steam rice instead.
A bit expensive in price overall, probably because this is the only Thai restaurant in this area.
But we had a good experience so far, will come back again for sure!
Ordered the Tom Kha prawns, Thai spicy fried rice chicken and grilled pork with Thai BBQ sauce. The look of the place was amazing, very spacious and comfortable 👍food was also of a good standard, very satisfied. Highly recommend! 👌
This is a very professionally run Restaurent for many years now. One of the few places to dine out in the area. Very popular with locals and always busy. Good idea to book your table on weekends. Good Thai food overall.
This is one of those thai joints that does it all well the foods great, not expensive, service is fine and the set up matches the cuisine. Probably one of best restaurants in the area.
This is our go to for delcious tasting thai that doesnt disappoint. Our favourites include the red curry & coconut rice. One gripe- can you please get a new telephone ordering system. I have to call several times before I can get through to somebody and then an even longer wait (over an hour) to pick up.
Didnt live up to the expectations as it was set too high by recommendations from friends in Williams Landing and Point Cook. Though I might be spoilt by eat outs in the city and the inner suburbs.
Ordered a Sea Food Platter, Thai Green Curry with Prawns and Jasmine Rice.
The good part. Thai Green Curry was one of the better ones I have had. Might have been a tad bit sweet for our taste but nevertheless made me finish it by overeating.
Service was pleasing and courteous. The turnaround from order to serving was fast. They were kind enough to give us a chilli sauce along with the platter.
Definite value for money.
The not so good part. Sea food platter was dissapointing. Too much batter which didnt taste that great either, a bit too oily and the calamris were all clumped up together.
Would I go there again? Definitely yes and would love to try their other offerings
Food is definitely a 5.
Each meal comes in a big plate with a big serve.
Very nice servicing.
The only 2 downsides are
- tables are too close to each other
- and it can be very noisy inside.
Amazing Thai food!
I had very low expectations, and usually stay away from Thai due to a peanut allergy.
I have never been so content, the $35 dollar banquet fills you up with delicious food even before the main meal comes out.
Without a doubt, this is the best Thai restaurant in Melbourne. My wife and I were without our kids last Saturday and went here before heading to the cinema. We took a risk not booking but the super friendly host managed to squeeze us in. We had the curry puff starters (meh) and the fish cakes to start (delicious). The mains however were the best - a beef Panang and yellow chicken curries. Simply 'Wow' is the best way to describe them. We had a couple of lemon, lime and bitters drinks and with bottomless boiled rice, came to $70 which I thought was incredibly good value. The staff were 1st class too, both being super friendly and checking whether everything was ok with the meal. This is our new 'goto' Thai from now on and already looking forward to taking our children there.

Thai food has now become a global cuisine and is located almost in all countries. Mastering the art of this cuisine how ever is not everyone's cup of tea.
The home delivery concept in Australia is quite different from that in india. They charge you a certain fee depending on where you are located so we ordered in advance and took a take away since it was located close by.
The place had a traditional vibe to it with some soft music playing in the background with a lot of local thai artifacts as well.
Food that we had ordered on the phone was ready in 15 minutes time.
1) Kao Plao ( Steamed jasmine rice ):
Simple white rice which was cooked to perfection. The rice was not too hard nor too soft and it had that hit of jasmine flavour to it.
2) Green curry with vegetables
One of the best thai curries I have had since a long time. Perfect balance of coconut milk, green curry paste and vegetables. The curry had a hot and sweet after effect taste which complemented the rice well .
Overall had a lovely experience and enjoyed the food. Worth trying when you are in this part of Melbourne.
Came here from Point Cook to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everything was ahmaaazing!
FOOD:
We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Green Curry Chicken, and Fish Fillet in Sweet Sour Sauce. They all tasted amazing! I rated them all 5/5.
SERVICE:
The service was completely awesome.
We brought along a birthday cake, and a waitress came to our table and offered to keep the cake in the fridge so that it wouldn't melt. After we finished our main courses, the same waitress came over to our table and asked if we wanted to get the cake. She then brought over the cake which has been put on a tray, along with a knife, small plates, as well as forks. And also, they put candles on it! (fyi they provided us the candles themselves -- the candles didn't come with the cake). We were amazed with the service provided. That was one of the best customer service I've ever experienced. 5/5
**My bad, I didn't take pics of the food (as I only video recorded them via snapchat). I can only show you guys the birthday cake.
OVERALL:
We definitely will come back!
My boyfriend and I come here when we are craving Thai food and no reservation. They always find tables to fit us in when it's busy. Food is consistent and fast!
I enjoyed my expierence here thoroughly. All of the dishes were of good quality, and came out a reasonably fast pace. The service was good and no mistakes were made in our orders. However it is slightly overpriced for what it is, probably being the only Thai of its kind in the area which is a shame. The restraunt is very crowded and busy which makes it very loud and hard for conversation at times. Altogether I would probably come back here to try out some more food :)
I heard this place was really good and it didn't dissapoint. The food was delicious BUT...very sweet. Maybe its just me but the food was so sweet. I can see how people would love it but its not very traditional. This ones got me confused. Might give it one more go.
Have been here about five times and is always a hit. Always busy and crowded, so you know it must be good. Best to book a table rather than just rocking up.
The food is scrumptious, I have ordered the Pad Thai numerous times and will continue to do so. It is absolutely full of flavour and the serving is generous, I never finish it all unless I'm feeling particularly naughty. Another favourite of mine is the Pad See Ewe, served in a delectably sweet, dark soy sauce. I have tried to replicate this at home to no avail.
Service is always prompt, even when busy and staff are always happy to make alterations to any of the meals. If you feel like a delicious noodle creation or creamy curry, this is the place to go. Ta ta and farewell.
Best thai restaurant in the west by far. The place gets really busy and the people and the ambience is really great. Green curry and salad was the highlight.
My favourite thai takeaway Close to home. The food is very yummy and mostly consistent. The prices are reasonable for the takeaway menu but the portions are also smaller. The only criticism I have is that the waits can often be long for dine in and it is generally very loud and noisy but that's a reflection of it being a busy restaurant due its popularity. So I wouldn't recommend it as a great dine in experience but fail safe for take aways.
Partner & I came for an early dinner during a weekday after work. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and was great value for money without sacrificing quality - we ordered pad thai, one of the veggie dishes & rice, ended up taking away half of the pad thai.
Only point to pick is the seating arrangement which threw me off a little - we were seated in an area that felt closed off from the main area. I thought it was empty when we first arrived but turned out everyone was just hidden away around the corner. It's a minor thing, sure they had their reasons for it, doesn't detract from the food.
First time here and will be definitely be going back again. Place was packed for a Tuesday night which is a good thing, service was great friendly staff, food was exceptional, worth a try if you are in Laverton area. Reasonably priced, everyone was happy with what they had.
A gem for the westies to sample some of the best Thai food without crossing the bridge. Yummy flavours, prompt service and always consistent in taste. Don't forget to order the curry puffs and the red duck curry.
I live in Altona and it's easily a 15min drive to come here but it's our go-to Thai in the area. Food is excellent, service is great and you can tell the place is good because it is always packed full! Make a reservation if you want to dine in. Their satay and Penang are fantastic.
Have been here easily over 10 times now. It's our go to local favorite. Whenever family & friends come over they always want us to book here too. We always go the same thing, $30 banquet with the addition of coconut rice, roti bread & a swap of curry puffs instead of the Larb Gai. Every single time with a group of 4 people or 6 people we always have leftovers that we take home for lunch the next day. The meats are alway tender. The coconut icecream at the end of the meal finishes it off nicely. The service is always quick & friendly. It's definitely a busy place, heaps of people coming in for takeaway or trying to get a seat, so definitely recommend booking in advance.
Lovely food. Great service. The right balance of flavours and spices. We loved it so much that we did a take away from here the very next day of dining in. Glad to have found this little gem in the area.
Excellent Thai Food.
Had a great dinner, I was a bit sceptical of the reviews as it was pretty high. Surprisingly it lived to its expectation.
The meal was all very tasty, the Pad thai was very nice although I am used to more tangy tamarind taste but still very good as each Thai resto have their own signature Pad Thai, the duck and massaman curry was very well cooked and the meat was tender and soft. Everything else was very very good.
Enjoyed the night, excellent customer service. Yim Yai thai is one of the best I've tried and this is added on to the list,a hidden gem in Laverton.
This is a litle gem in western suburb as we always struggle to find a good restaurant..
Food is really good and tasty with a reasonable price.
I came here for several times, i like the Rockling with chilli ginger, and the TomYum is the best in Melbourne for my taste.
Makesure you try Tomyum in this restaurant.
The service is also great, every time this restaurant always full, but the floor staff know what they do..
Fully recommended, and I always go back !!
We've heard so much about Fresh Chili that Elisha Hodges and I just had to come and try it out! The overall hype lived up to our expectations. Friendly staff, large meal portions, and speedy service. The restaurant is always packed so it's worth making a booking! Would love to come back and try the many other items that they offer here on their menu!!
amazinggggggg food...must try...service and presentation was good...staff was really nice and polite...good ambience... ~thai love~ ❤️
Fresh chilli is always fresh and delicious. Unbeatable pad thai and green chicken curry, delicious spring rolls. One of the best eateries in the west
A great land mark in Laverton North and just about the only other place we would visit when in town other than Little Mekong. Other than actually having Pad Thai in Thailand at the Floating Market, we haven't found any better Pad Thai $14.9. Just the right flavours and acidity to match. Big fan of the red duck curry $18.9 and the green chicken curry $16.9 too.
Floor layout is a a little cramped with how it's laid out which needs a bit of a rethink. Service of staff is pretty good most of the time but does get a little chaotic when it's busy. Decor isn't quite authentic Thai however is made up by the staff uniform, Thai accent and the aroma/taste of the delicious food. A must go location whenever in the area. Till next time, this is Our Foodie Find!
Have eaten here on many occasions over the past 10 years - has never ever let us down. It's consistent and delish! They should expand though, because even if we go in on a Tuesday night - it's chockers! Luckily, worst case scenario we can grab takeaway. Yum guys - thank you for your amazing food!
This is a very busy very popular restaurant, so you are advised to book. First impression it seems very crowded and the decor is a little bit tacky BUT when it comes to the FOOD, it is sensational. We ordered far too much and then discovered that the servings are very large.
The stand out dishes would have to be the Pad Thai, with loads of peanuts and loads of flavour, and the red duck curry. The service is friendly and efficient although it did take a while for them to find a table for us even though we had booked. This restaurant is really suitable for the whole family and obviously has an early clientele. It's BYO wine and also has a full bar for cocktails. For those of you who don't believe there any good restaurants in the West, this place will prove you wrong.
Great service, great ambience and great uniforms! Authenticity is the only word to describe this gem in the west. Fine dining style for a Thai restaurant.
Another fantastic meal tonight. Most meals have a hint of spice. The mix of flavours and sauces made this a great choice for a authentic Thia curry. Very impressed. Thankyou
Fit out is slightly dated, and it's a little squishy to dine in, but you can't deny the food quality here. Have been here numerous times and had Masaman curry, Tom kha soup and Thai - all fantastic dishes and a good size. The coconut ice cream for dessert topped things off perfectly! Would recommend pick up over dine in, but the service is very good and you won't be disappointed.
Very much a local favourite in the area. Always full so top tip book ahead. One of the best chicken Pad Thai and Massaman curries in Melbourne. Good service and meals only take 5 minutes to come out
Could never ever fault this place, hands down the best thai i've had.
Have gone to many different places, always tried the same dish (chicken pad thai) but has never tasted as good as Fresh Chilli.
Highly Recommended!
If you're looking for affordable, delicious and authentic Thai food, fresh chilli is the restaurant you wanna be at. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, the customer service here is amazing and they always attend to every need you have. Very affordable as well! Highly recommended, one of my top 5 places!
By far one of the best restaurants in its area. I have been at least 10 times in the past and have always been a happy customer. I have always been impressed with the service and the high quality of each meal. The portion sizes are usually pretty big and you won't break the bank either (most mains are priced between $15-$25)
Its hard to write anything remotely negative about this restaurant because I've eaten here over 10 times and never has it failed to satisfy my dining experience. Food is always amazing, service is always splendid and my tummy is always happy after eating here!
The best of the best! This is my go-to Thai restaurant. They serve traditional Thai food - it's amazing! My fave main is the massaman curry however the banquets are always safe for rookies.
Ive eaten thai in many places around the world and this place still, remains the best Ive had. Right place, in the wrong location. Cheap eats, great food and fast, but quality not compromised!
Surrounds are nice, its not a place to dress to the nines, smart casual at best. Service excellent.
We made a booking for 7.00 pm on a Wednesday night for 5 people. Unfortunately when we got there, we had been double booked and ended up waiting an hour for a table. Not the best start.
When we finally got seated, we ordered a banquet – we were starving by then.
The chicken satay skewers were delicious – one of the best satay sauces I’ve tasted. The pad thai was so good – again one of the best (we ordered that in addition to the banquet). The green chicken curry was delicious. Most of the dishes in the banquet were great. The only exception was the mixed veggies – too much capsicum, carrot was still fairly raw and basically not enough greens or mushrooms. The grilled pork was a bit ordinary so next time I’ll order a different meat for that dish.
In general the food was pretty good – I’ve been before and would go back, although I’ll double check my booking. Staff were friendly but we felt that considering the long wait in a crowded space, they could have offered us a complimentary drink while we waited.
When this place first opened we thought it was amazing. Has continued to live up to that first impression time and time again. The staff are lovely and look gorgeous in their traditional attire. This place gets busy so make sure you book.
Favourite dishes: pad thai chicken or the red curry beef!
We were supposed to eat at the night market but the food choice was limited. Came here instead and loved it!
Awesome food, service, and ambiance! Real value for money! Must try! 👍🏼👍🏼
The food has so far been very tasty every time we've gone there. Prices are appropriate too. We are happy our neighbour recommended this place. Cheers!
I will sum it up in a word - "awesome". Great tasty Thai food. Friendly efficient staff.
My number one take away joint in the area. Recommend.
Had a wonderful night. All food was yummy & fresh. A bit noisy but what do you expect for a Saturday night. My wife & I are disabled but were treated with respect. Would highly reccomend and will come again soon.
Good food and great service. Went for dinner. Likes the food and the service was excellent.
Food is so yummy and fresh, staff are always friendly. Make a booking though because it's not a well kept secret. Have always loved this place.
Awesome. Very impressed and happy with everything we have eaten from here... Worth the drive..
Fantastic experience. I wasn't a huge fan of Thai cuisine. This restuarant has changed all that. The food is simply amazing. So full of flavour and colour. The interior is beautifully decorated, and the staff are friendly and polite. What more could you ask for?
Beautiful. Don't go by the look of outside. Once you step inside this restaurant is beautiful and great space. Staff were friendly and food delivered to table quickly. Food is great, you love a kick of spice in your food you wont forget the spices here. Yum Yum Yum. Cant wait to go again!!!
