Great traditional korean food deliver to our home. My favourite was the seafood pancake, we ate it all before we took a photo. Everything was delicious š.
Amazing Korean food. Try the spicy calamari, not that spicy but really tasty, or the kimchi pancake. Both are great. Meals were served super fast and staff were pleasant. A bit of a hidden gem but seems to do a good business. Hope to visit again.
What a lovely hidden place. Quick food. Wonderful staff. Fresh and crispy fried food thatās not oily and also super duper moist. Loved it! Definitely eating here again :)
so glad thereās a nice korean restaurant and i donāt have to travel too far to the city to get my cravings fixed.

š“Located to the west of Melbourne, this korean restaurant is popular so do make a reservation in advance or be prepared to wait. They serve quite authentic korean fare and our favourite was the #friedchicken. We went with a half and half option of original and cheese snow and enjoyed that they were tasty, crisp and amazingly non-oily (which helped it feel less sinful). We found the stews to be flavourful but light and they actually provide shrimp and pork sauces to add in to enhance the stews, making it quite customizable to individual tastes. I personally prefer richer soups but the milkiness and lightness of the stews was a refreshing change.

This is a great little restaurant near Aircraft Station. The service is very efficient yet still courteous, the food portion is generous, prices were very reasonable, and the most important thing is the tasty dishes! I had the LA Galbi and it was so flavorful.
Randomly came across this place and wasn't expecting much by the look of the area, but boy was I wrong. Located handily across from Aircraft station, and also just off the Point Cook Road exit from freeway with parking available at back by entrance. This place is surprisingly trendy looking with small table seating for about 25 people. Went Saturday lunchtime and were lucky to get seat for 2 without having to share. We had Beef bulgogi, japchae, extra rice and kimchi pancake. I am large Maori and portions were smaller than used to in city but then prices are smaller too. I like strong flavours and found a bit under flavoured for mine, but hey the 2 of us slammed everything regardless. Am definitely returning to try hangover soup and the Fried chicken we heard our neighbours exclaiming about. Also check out the refrigerator with banchan and even takeaway meals too. Meal cost 45$ for 2 (would've been 60$ in city), and so close in the real West, very convenient. Do try it
Think this is my new favourite Korean place!
Conveniently located just opposite from Aircraft station with a green colour front (the entrance is at the back though). There are parking at the back of the restaurant too, for those who drives.
They serve make to order dishes. The service is great and casual, a family friendly atmosphere. Pricing is not bad for the food. Oh they have a refrigerated section at the back of the restaurant which you can pick up traditional Korean side dishes and various kimchi to take home.
The food is fresh and filling, also not too salty. The blood sausage soup I had is not for the faint hearted. It has pig offal and other part. However the rest of the food that I tried, they are seriously delicious!
If you are in the area or just coming home from work. I highly recommend to stop here for a meal.
I came here tonight and was absolutely satisfied with my meal. We ordered sashimi with rice. Spicy rice cakes. And tempura udon. Was beyond delicious. Place was nice quiet and clean. Staff was extremely friendly. Serving sizes are definitely deserving.
I really hope this place becomes more well known cos you can even taste the quality and care put into the dishes.
Best restaurant in Laverton! The food is really authentic. I usually have the beef rib soup which is well portioned and tasty. They occasionally have chef specials of the day which are also worth trying as you usually can't get those dishes anywhere else. The variety of side dishes is also great. Friendly service, keep it up!
I had no idea we had authentic Korean food so close by! Now I don't have to travel all the way to the city to satisfy my cravings for Kimchi stew. We ordered the kimchi stew, kimchi pancake, beef bulgogi and tempura prawns. Everything was so flavourful and fresh, the portions were also generous. The women serving us were super lovely and attentive. Oh and they even have a fridge full of a huge selection of their banchan and menu dishes! I'm excited to try more of the menu.
Authentic Korean in the west.
I stumbled across this little gem in Laverton and would recommend to anyone with a Korean craving.
The service was super friendly, fast and meal were generous in size. Best of all itās super cheap and super tasty!
The staff were lovely and they have takeaway meals in large display refrigerators, so you can take home too.
Food at mumchan is really great! Smaller selection of food but perfect if you are interested in trying korean food! Their fried chicken is to die for and will 100% be returning in the future.
Real traditional Korean food (recommended by Korean friends). Friendly service and well priced. Kimbab, kimchi&seafood pancake and cold noddle are must!
I was ecstatic that a Korean restaurant opened nearby. I had a takeaway from this place. Ordered Kimchi Stew and Honey-soy boneless chicken. It was one of the best I had. Convenient takeaway containers as well, not the cheap kind that spills food out. I love all the flavours. Very satisfying!
Had takeaway from here a few times now and each time itās been amazing. So lucky to have an authentic Korean restaurant in the area. Their fried chicken is crispy and succulent as it should be and the bulgogi seems to last seconds amongst my friends. They also have pre-prepared banchan available for sale, lots to choose
from, types of rice punch, soup bases and they also sell lunchbox type cold containers of rice, noodles etc. The girl who seems to be running the show is absolutely lovely and very efficient. A really great addition to the restaurants in the area!
Such a gem of very authentic Korean crusine. Korean stone rice cooked to perfection. Stone pot is super hot and rice and content also very hot. Perfect for Winter to keep warm. Rice is slightly burn at the bottom makes the rice a bit crunchy, this is the best part of stone rice. This also come with their famous Korean side dish. Spicy pork taste really good and flavorsome. Soondoobu soup is light but full of flavour. Heaps of seafood inside. Only few tables inside, but serving is very quick. Plenty of parking in front and nearby. Price is average. Staff is very friendly too.
Ordered the weekly set and marinated crabs for delivery. I had to change my delivery address and the helpful staff were so kind to help me with it. The food is semi prepared, and there are instructions available on their website. We had the army stew and crabs tonight. It was so easy to cook and ready in no time. Plus it was really tasty! Would definitely order from here again.
Have ordered takeaway from Mumchan a number of times, and the chicken is our favourite dish, possibly one of the best KFC I've had in Melbourne.
- boneless chicken: sweet soy is delicious, cheese snow is quite good too, the cheese is subtle and not overpowering. The crumbs used on the chicken are light and flavourful. I also love the coleslaw and pickled radish, so tasty.
- tempura prawn: delicious
- japchae: nice.
- jjajang myeon: my first time having this so wasn't sure what to expect. It was interesting and nice.
Our favourite place to go for home cooked korean food. The sets are wonderful!
It's pretty good. The selling point is their snowy cheese chicken and it's pretty damn tasty. Black bean noodles were ok but the portion was huge, so can't complain.
My favourite Korean Restaurant. Menu is authentic and taste wonderful. My favourite are the Tofu Stew, Beef Short Ribs, and Beef Stew. They also sell variety of ready to eat Banchan, some sort side dishes. You can pick from so many kinds of Kimchi, fish cake as well as dumplings and beef broth. I love the Kimchi as well, especially the fresh ones because they are not too fermented. They also offer takeaway order through phone.
