I recommend the Korean fried chicken, massaman curry and drunken noodles. Drinks menu are also extensive and delicious.
This place is nice for a date night but even better to go with a group (so you can share more food!). There is also free parking next door!
If you like fusion, street style (westernised) Asian food, you’re bound to enjoy Kitsch. Came as a group of 5 for dinner recently and ordered:
Prawn crackers (the usual), Spiced corn fritter (tasty),
Salt & chilli squid with watermelon (ordinary), Crispy caramelised beef (delicious), Garlic roasted cauliflower (ok), Drunken noodles (my favourite dish of the night),
Crispy teriyaki fish (sauce was very sweet & overpowering, least favourite), pork belly (red curry sauce was divine & the highlight) and Roti (always a winner). Ambience is great here with seating mainly in an enclosed outdoor area with trees and lights (& heaters during winter) giving it a really nice feel. Service was very attentive (unlimited free sparkling water was an excellent touch, with waiters constantly filling up our glasses without being asked). Definitely be back.
Fantastic staff with great knowledge about the food. Food is always served quickly and delicious. Little pricey but definitely worth it!
Saturday night Kitsch delivered great plates of flavour and spice. The "lamb" in the Massaman was a highlight dish with full-on sheep flavour and the fried tofu was awakening with a very hot spice paste. Best special fried rice ever tasted. Kitsch is a real statement of Asian and inspired dishes completely nailed.
Love this place everytime I go! Although some dishes can be on the expensive side if you’re comparing to quality take-away Thai food, but freshness and uniqueness make up for it.
Fave dish was the chili squid paired with the coolness from the watermelon. Drunken noodles could use a bit more flavour but tastes good soaked in the yellow curry sauce from the nicely spiced fluffy potato dish. Wok fried greens are always a tasty side. Don’t forget the Red Rickshaw cocktail - it helps to cool down the deliciously fiery chilly.
Went here as a second stop on a Food Safari tour. We had Thai Green Chicken Curry. The portions were quite large and service was quick. Great ambience too. Friends I was with had Red Rickshaw cocktails and said they were divine. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.
Walked in with no booking on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Wait staff were helpful, friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the sweet and spicy prawn crackers and a couple of glasses of wine. Our waiter suggested a couple of starters and a couple of mains from the share-style menu would be about right for two people who were moderately hungry. We had the corn fritters with coriander and sweet sauce. They were crunchy and full of flavour and W’s favourite dish of the night. Next was a spicy pulled pork tortilla with coleslaw. This was my favourite, with the flavours perfectly balanced. For mains we had the lamb massaman curry and the fried rice with duck. Both mains were lovely. We enjoyed everything, but most dishes were quite spicy so bear this in mind if you prefer little or mild heat to your food.
Mr Doe and I visited Kitsch Bar recently on a child-free date night and had a fantastic dinner. We are big fans of tapas and Kitsch do their take on share dishes perfectly, portions are generous and timing of dishes to the table was perfect. We shared the sweet and salty Korean chicken wings (which had a generous amount of heat!), spiced corn fritters, pork belly and a papaya salad which left us absolutely stuffed. Everything was fresh, flavourful and well cooked so we were completely satisfied. The premise is cute, our waiter was lovely and I had a few glasses of a fantastic wine so all up we were pretty pleased.
This place has a cosy, warm atmosphere! With good service. The food was soooo tasty! Would like to try more off the menu! They had yummy cocktails too
I went there for dinner with a couple of friends and the food was pretty tasty ! The papaya salad was a little bit bland but everything else we ordered was great and had a good portion.
I usually don't like any kind of tapas style food simply because the portions are tiny and never satisfying. We came across this place as it was in the entertainment book so thought we would give it a try. This restaurant is situated on the quiet end of leederville and has a really nice ambience to it. Service was brilliant with the menu explained to us as well as a few suggestions given. We decided to order the squid and beef strips from the entree/hawker bites as well as the lamb curry, rice and coleslaw. The squid was perfectly cooked and the beef strips were a generous serving. Lamb was not a typical curry tasting dish but still great nonetheless. Overall, really nice dinner, excellent service and we left satisfied. Will definitely return.

Best Pad Thai in Perth
Uncomfortably hot. They have plastic blinds that enclose an outdoor area but they trap all the heat in. The ice melted almost instantly in the cold drinks. Almost all the food was delicious but the beef cheeks were terrible- avoid! There is no question they were soft but it tasted like they were cooked in water - so bland and such a let down as all the other food was great. Service was great and the rest of the food was delicious. Giving a high rating as these couple of let downs are easy to fix
Yum! Booked online which was easy. Great environment. Had the chicken wings, pork tacos, fried rice and beef cheek - they were all delicious! The four dishes between 3 ppl was plenty. Was a great meal whilst visiting Perth!
Went for the Wednesday wok special. $16.50 for this week's special of black bean beef noodles. It was tasty and beef was tender. But could probably get something with more authentic flavour and bigger portions/more meat and vege from a 'proper' Chinese restaurant for cheaper. But the other items on the menu may be a bit more different and worth a try.

Great lil restaurant bar that's just a 10min walk from the main strip of Leedy. We had a new waitress serving us but she was very attentive and catered well to us even though she wasn't familiar with the menu. Great service. Love the food here, brings us back to a busy bustling asian marketplace. It can get quite noisy in the restaurant but it adds to the atmosphere. We ordered an array of dishes to share. Started with a nice tofu dish. Followed by the pork belly which had a beautiful crackle without the chewy gelatinous skin that u can get in some of the pork belly's, the ones that get stuck to your teeth. I would have loved more of the chilli caramel sauce on it though. We then dived into the whole fish. This dish may not be for everyone as it comes whole but if u can get past picking the bones off, u will be well rewarded with a beautiful tender fish with crispy skin that goes so well with the simple asian flavours of ginger, soy, chilli & spring onions. Its abit of work but I would highly recommend this dish. We also tried the papaya salad although it wasn't a big hit for us. We finally finished off the night with a peanut butter parfait & salted caramel praline. Thanks Kitsch, I'll definitely be returning soon.

Such a good place for dinner in Leederville. The bar is trendy and very popular at night. The food is absolutely insane and the desserts are to die for.
Our group of 4 had a fantastic dinner here on Friday night. Music was chilled and the heaters were on, creating quite a cosy vibe. We shared the prawn crackers (so darn tasty), Korean chicken wings, tofu and mushroom sang choy bao, drunken noodles (lots of chilli), wok fried greens, roti bread, sriracha & garlic roasted cauliflower & potato paneer (probably the spiciest dish of the night) and ended with a peanut butter parfait. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. Service was friendly and informative and the only room for improvement there is that sometimes we were left alone for too long before being asked if we wanted to order. Highly recommended and bookings are definitely required.
Came here with friends the other night. We decided to sample a few menu options. The ones that stood out the most were the soft shell crab and mango salsa, who would have thought the two paired together would work. And I absolutely loved the pork adobo bites, they were delicious. The red curry duck also had a nice heat to it. Will definitely be back again and recommend to friends! Keep up the good work!
We came here on a beautiful Friday evening. When I saw the Korean chicken wings on the menu, I could not resist ordering it. I love chicken wings. I was glad I ordered them as I could not stop eating them. But I wished they were not all drumletts. My fish was a bit dry. The worst dish was the wok fried vegetables. The Kai Lan was so hard that it was impossible to eat.
All the dishes were amazing. The plates I am still salivating over were salted squid with watermelon melted in your mouth and the tortillas. Service was awesome too. Loved everything about Kitsch Bar.
Funky sounding name, fantastic setting, a tad slow on the service and the wait staff seemed distressed. Food wasn't bad when it eventually came out but was kind of staggered in a non favourable way. A few of us went and the champagne was flowing although rather expensive for what it was. Nevertheless it was a fun night and they were understaffed and this did show, I also think the crew in the kitchen could have stepped it up a notch. We will be back though
Since I've indulged myself on numerous occasions with delicious food from Kitsch I believe it to be my civic obligation to notify the public of this little gem in our own back yard. Kitsch has the trifecta; great food, staff and atmosphere. The wine list is extensive and affordable, the eats delicious and will take your tastebuds on a mouthwatering adventure. Regardless of the occasion, an evening at Kitsch always leaves me craving more. I will be back to dine very soon.
With Christmas Day less than two weeks away, there’s inevitably some hard-to-buy-for people still on your Christmas shopping list. If they’re a foodie, gift them something a little bit different this year. A food tour or progressive dinner are always great for discovering a tasty new eatery. We checked out one of the most unique progressive dinners in town. The Leederville Food Safari is a progressive dinner, by rickshaw, to three of Leederville’s most popular eateries.
Went here midweek and had the fish and Wednesday special also had desert and was just amazing. Great atmosphere and stuff/host we had was really lovely and did a really great job. Chef did an amazing job producing food with such vibrant and fresh flavors! Definitely recommend going here.

We had a trainee waiter, he did a good job overall but could do well with learning if there was orange or grape fruit in the gin, well the menu overall !!

Beefeater Gin, also only $10 and given competitors like Enriques charging $14, I was pleasently suprised.

Came here with a large group for dinner on a Friday night. The place was packed as expected. The service was okay considering how busy it was, but could have been slightly better. The food is well presented and tasty, but portion sizes are on the smaller size. Not a bad option for a bite or drink.
We went here tonight as part of the Leederville Food Safari. Kitsch was the best of the three places. We had an entree selection...tasty and interesting, especially if you like robust sweet/sour/chilli combinations. A nice bar with a great atmosphere. But would we recommend Leederville Food Safari in general? No. Ria and Foam were disappointing. If you are after a special evening, sadly we couldn't recommend it. In saying that, the rickshaw ride was great, as was the driver.
I never thought I'd say it but, too.. much.. pork.. belly! Definitely get it to share. Same with the peanut butter parfait, but both really good. We did the feed me option but missed out on a few great sounding dishes on the menu... next time.
Quaint and cost restaurant. Good service & good food. Nothing to complain about. They fit us in at the drop of a hat too which I was not expecting.

The weekday specials are pretty good. I tried the Pad Thai ($15 and you can add a beer for $2), and it was delicious. There's also a decent selection of cocktails at reasonable (well, average) prices. The waitstaff are very friendly. It can get busy, so booking a table for dinner is a good idea.
Asian street food with a little class added to it!
Come with an empty stomach and a wallet full of cash! Not that Kitsch bar is too expensive but rather you would want to try almost everything they have on offer! Hence come with an empty stomach

Great food and atmosphere, friendly staff whom are informative without being over bearing or intrusive. All round great dining experience. Highly recommend the the pork belly and papaya salad.
Went here last night for dinner. Very helpful staff. The food was very good. We had the peanuts to nibble on for starters, followed by the massaman beef and szecheun chicken which were excellent. The wine list is also good. Hope to return again soon.

Or with a group. Any excuse really. Kitsch Bar is a restaurant where the food is designed to be shared with others so you can try a few dishes. It serves Asian Fusion food and has a quirky atmosphere to it. We ordered 3 entrees, 3 mains and 2 desserts to share between the 4 of us and that was substantial. The eggplant entrée was to die for and had an amazing flavour to it – shame that there was a lot more spring onions in it than eggplant. Very moreish and would order it again! The prawn toast was fancier than the ones you get at a Chinese restaurant. Soft shell crab tortillas and pork belly were okay. The beef flank was yummy and came with a dry Thai green curry sauce. The noodles we ordered had a bit of an odd taste to it which I didn’t really like. Desserts were yum yum yum. We had the green tea and yuzu mousse, and the banana fritters and sweet corn ice cream was so good. Would go here again, and maybe try the ‘feed me’ option if I go with a big group to try more dishes.
Love the look of Kitsch. Fun atmosphere and busy even on a Wednesday night. Good start with the corn fritters and beef special - tasty with the perfect hit of chilli. Wine list is impressive and well priced too. Bit disappointed with the pork belly - this is my go to dish when I eat out but this was quite dry although flavours were good and crackle was nice and crunchy. Attentive staff - would definitely recommend.

The dessert was absolutely delicious. we had the peanut butter and salted caramel dessert, however we did have a small issue with it having a long hair smack bang in the middle that just seemed to keep pulling out. It was that delicious i would of loved to have eaten it all. They did give us the dessert for free.
If it wasn't for that i would of rated it higher, but i understand those things can happen so i would go back there!
The tapas are generally good. The fried tamarind chicken skin is different and worth a try. The Korean sweet chicken wing is good. The dessert is a miss though - we ordered fried banana with sweet corn ice cream and popcorn. I don't think the ingredients go well together. Ambience is good.
I just love the feel of Kitsch, the staff are so lovely and the décor is funky and cosy all at the same. On arrival we were greeted by the Manager and shown to our table. We had made our booking for the night on Dimmi (a restaurant booking site) and were not offered the Valentine’s Day set menu. The manager Niall emailed during the week to let us know about the set menu but was totally fine when I said that we would prefer to order al a carte.
Kitsch was amazing as usual. The service was awesome, and the pad Thai special was cheap and tasty. Had the peanut butter ice cream to share and was so good we ended up ordering 2!
We had a really delicious meal here! The food was super, although the service was a little slow. We will totally be back! Recommend the crab & pork tortillas - spot on!
Did the Leederville Food Safari. Pork belly and beef flank was delicious. Service was attentive and staff friendly. First time there and would definitely recommend it.
They keep it fresh by changing up the menu frequently. Our last meal was great the whole fish had crispy skin and not dry, soft shell crab was tasty and the banana dessert was a stand out! The drinks are quite inventive, had a spicy, tamarind cocktail. 4/5 times they deliver delicious dishes with nice service.

Finishing work on a Friday I was craving a good meal and a drink with my girlfriends. I had not realised that it was going to be so hot last night and it was still 35 degrees at 6pm as the sun was going down. Because kitsch is so open, there was no fans to cool down with, all there was, was the menu you to fan yourself with.
I got a nice glass of Cab Sav which had a nice spice to it and wasn't strong, it went down very nicely.
We all ordered our own food and some small bites but I order the Whole Market Fish and a Soft Shell Crab Tortilla. The tortilla was so good. They had mixed the crab with a nice sauce and a few extra added flavours and it made the taste of the crab satisfying. I think if you were to order 2-3 you would be comfortably full. You can only order one at a time and at $8 a piece.
The fish had a nice coating of spices that were tolerable to eat, not too hot. It was hard to enjoy big mouthfuls due to it being a whole fish and bones still inside so sometimes you've be picking inside your mouth to get the bones out.
Was a very nice night with the girls but there definitely needed to be some fans to cool down, especially with summer coming. It's hard to enjoy a meal of you are sitting in sweat. Other than that, the food was really tasty and had a lot of flavours so if recommend eating here. Also very affordable if you're looking at spending less that $50
Great setting and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a group outing or casual dining. The wait-staff were very polite and friendly, great service and prompt too. Started off with the Kitsch Punch, this was refreshing and cutely served in a teapot - spicy from the ginger beer used. Foods - tofu with sambal kecap - very small serving and was over it quite quickly, flavour was ok but nothing special. Fried chicken wings were great, crispy, sweet and spicy at the same time! The curry mussels with papaya salsa was delicious - salsa was definitely different and refreshing. Lastly we also ordered the pad Thai - nice touch with the crispy flakes, but the noodles were overcooked and lacked any salt - pity. Overall was a good feast, happy with the place.
Kitsch’s take on the Asian classic, Prawn Toast, is nothing like the run of the mill, limp ass prawn toast you’d find at your local Chinese restaurant. Crispy, packed with flavour and extremely moorish, this is a must order if you do check out Kitsch. The mayo enhanced the sweet and juicy prawn and I probably could have licked the plate (if I wasn’t sharing OR out to dinner). A few of the girls we were dining with at the event had only recently visited the restaurant, and raved about the prawn toast for a good ten minutes before we had the chance to try it. The raving was warranted! Delish.
Was very accommodating and friendly service with a high standard of food which was modern Asian infused with Australian. Good pricing as well as a funky dining decor and atmosphere. If your hip and happening try this one out.
Pork belly and apple! So many dishes to try, great place for sharing and tasting. Always good midweek deals and the kitsch ginger cocktail is super fiery, excellent. Venue and decor is unique to perth, a must visit. One of my favourites.

Another dish which our waitperson recommended us was the Korean fried sweet and salty chicken wings ($14.90). The chicken wings were marinated well, giving a punch of sweet and salty flavours with every bite. It’s crispy and crunchy on the outside too concealing the tender textures of the chicken.
Table for 4 on Tuesday night. Good service, had the chicken pad Thai special. Food tasted good but portion a little on the small side. Would go back to try other dishes.
Amazing if you are a vegan! More than half the menu to choose from and really affordable. Had the vegan pad Thai and salt and pepper tofu, which cost less than $25 (on a Tuesday though). My new favorite!
Food was pretty good. Soft shell crab taco, chicken with corn and corriander, beef in curry sauce and pork belly - all quite good. Eggplant was pretty bad. Really thin slices and really dried out and chargrilled (trying to be nice and not call it burnt!). But 1 not so good dish didn't ruin it. Friendly, attentive staff. Funky feel to the place.
My favourite place of the moment. It is in an old house with a massive old frangipani tree in front yard.quirky little touches add to the enjoyment. The food is great... Asian fusion and good to share. The staff arexalways friendly and nothing is too hard for them. Would highly recommend.

We decided to pay Kitsch our first visit on the strength of the vegan options available - we weren't disappointed! The staff were very careful to make sure everything served was vegan-friendly (we heard instructions bellowed through the kitchen!) and the food that was served was absolutely spot-on. A 5 out of 5 would have been fully-deserved if not for the serving sizes - the eggplant dish was beautifully balanced with herbs but (despite being a "sharing plate") had a mere 3 thin strips of eggplant on it. It didn't stop us from ordering seconds, but it would've been brilliant if the dish had had more to start with. The noodles, too, were advertised as being served with kailan, but the veg was more a julienne garnish than anything. Still - all incredibly tasty. We just wish it didn't feel all that pricey for the quantities we got. Cocktails were beautiful, too. We skipped dessert and had one each instead.
Really really good. Very relaxing place, great service and absolutely fantastic food. Had almost all of the small things with the fritters and tofu being big favourites. The wednesday special however was the standout! Will definitely be back soon
Omg this place is fantastic!! I can't believe I waited so long to check it out! We shared the corn fritters and salt n pepper tofu to start. The best fritters I have had! The tofu was so good - even my meat lovin bf enjoyed it!! The whole market fish was delicious and took me back to Thailand.
Funky little place that I would've never gone to. Got dragged along and wasn't disappointed, I was even having cocktails from a watering can and eating hot wings at the same time :) was a pleasant surprise without the expectation. Really cool little place
Cute little place. Came in for dinner and a few drinks, with 5 mates on Wednesday night. Serve was pretty good. All the food was so yum. Except for the papaya salad which was HORRIBLE! It just tasted like some bits of (could of been anything) swimming in cheap sweet chilli sauce. No one on the table could or would eat it! Will be back but will not order the papaya salad.

Been to kitsch a few times now didn't really get all the fuss my friends had made about it until my last visit... food was sensational and very reasonably priced ( by Perth standards).Quirky furnishing and friendly, attentive staff make this place a must for the abundance of so called 'food connoisseurs' of Perth!

Love the food here, have tried a few dishes and not one let down food wise. Cool decor..a bit squishy if busy but still great. The let down is the wait staff. Waited too long to order, the had no awareness. Waiter didn't seem to listen and walked around looking at his feet. Prawn crackers were so stale and had to ask for fresh ones but they were yummy. Would go back for the food but the wait staff need to improve
I love Kitsch. Food here is amazing and the vibe is great. Really good value for money food items. Cocktails are nice too although not that strong- can't taste the alcohol much.
I recommend their lotus root chips, vegan cashew Cauliflower, egg fried rice, drunken mushrooms noodles and fried tofu.
I'm vegetarian so not sure about the meat dishes.

A new favourite. Vibe is cool and menu is interesting and delicious. Menu is almost entirely gluten free or can be made gluten free. Staff were great with accommodating my coeliac disease and i felt very confident eating there. Cocktail list is amazing also! Also very reasonable priced and good portions/

Had dinner at Kitsch last night with friends for my birthday - second time I’ve been - and I cannot fault anything! The service was awesome, the food is exceptional and it all made for a wonderful night! We had the Lucy’s Favourites banquet and there was more than enough food for us all. Cocktails were fab too.

Have been here a couple times. The first time we tried a few hawker bites dishes and dessert, the second time we tried a couple of the street plates. Every dish was full of flavour, tasted amazing and presented nicely. Service is good, could be a little better as the first time we went my glass of water was empty and he said he would top it up however did not return. I ended up having to get up and ask staff for water. I thought the menu is a little bit on the pricey side however each dish we had was worth it.
