I enjoyed the vegan big breakfast, it had a good variety of ingredients in it and the coffee was creamy and smooth.
Came in for a quick coffee and snack. Coffee was great, and came out very quickly. We had the morning booster muffin, which was also very nice - very tasty, not too sweet
My poached eggs were slightly over cooked. I normally only have one piece of toast but most places gives you two. So I didn’t waste any this time although other people might find the poached eggs on toast a bit light. But the chicken waffles looked amazing. Iced coffee very funky looking. It was a little bit crowded considering social distancing rules but sitting outside it felt fine. Just some seats can get glare from the sun at lunch time.
Came for weekend brunch with a group of 5. Between us we ordered the feta scrambled eggs (average), the vegan big breakfast (average), the green goodness (ok), and the wasabi smashed avocado (quite nice). Nutella hot chocolate was good but served lukewarm. Ambience was ok as was the service although it took quite awhile for our food to come out. Not a terrible dining experience by any means, just ordinary & nothing memorable that would make me return in a hurry.
We were planning to go to Pixel cafe for lunch but saw this new cafe packed with people so we have changed our mind (Don't be disappointed Pixel, we will definitely be back for Nitrocoffee). Oxford has good coffee (stronger coffee flavour) with friendly staff in great sense of humor. Croissant is very big in size. It's going to be another gem for this area.
Lovely cafe that I’ve been frequenting a lot, good for small and large groups. The staffs are very friendly . Amazing food and good quality coffee. Had to order another extra cup of coffee before I left. Highly recommended!
Just had the most delicious breakfast with my young daughter. Adults, kids, and dogs were all treated well and promptly by the friendly staff. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy, the coffee was sublime, and the banana bread was not too sweet. Great value for money, plenty of customers, and not too much of a wait (especially considering it was Saturday brunch time). I’ll be back for more coffee, and to try some other dishes on the menu.
I haven’t seen any crumbs on any finished meals yet here. Vegan big brekky is a fave even though I’m an omnivore. The scrambled eggs and burgers are also a hit. Definitely recommend.
I had the pancake. It was good but nothing amazing. Like the coffee here. Staffs are very friendly and service was quick. The outdoor seating was lovely, get to enjoy some good weather and sunshine while having breakfast.
Had lunch with friends today and everything was very well prepared and tasty. Very good coffee and staff were lovely. Would like to have seen a better quality gluten free toast though - it was very ordinary and it's a pity because there are many excellent brands available. Have found recently several cafes resorting back to the lesser quality gluten free breads - it doesn't make sense really.
Had mushroom bruschetta. Very tasty. Full of flavour. Husband had the eggs florentine with smoked salmon and another friend had the vegetarian breakfast. All good. No complaints. Fast and prompt service.

Atmosphere, decor and service were all great and quick! Sat on their terrace enjoying leederville’s busy street life. I had the vegetarian breakfast- they let me change mushrooms to extra pumpkin without extra cost. My partner had their chicken burger- he was pleased with the size of the portion and the chicken was well cooked, not too dry. :) Trying Oxford Yard again!
BBQ pork quesadillas are absolutely divine, service is good and the vibe is upbeat. However, the music has to change; blaring top 40 club bangers every time I’ve gone. It’s honestly costing them a 4.
Lovely brunch. I had the vegetarian breakfast with a skinny flat white, W had the mushrooms on sourdough with a long black. The breakfast was yum - I liked every bit. The pumpkin was unusual and added a sweet element. Coffees were good, service was cheerful, prompt and food and drinks arrived very quickly. Was great sitting outside. We'll be back another time for sure.

Decent breakfast place, a bit pricey for what you get. The vege big breakfast is a solid meal with poached eggs and basic but well done beans + spinach. The pumpkin sauce it came with was amazing.
The chickpea patty is nice but not exciting. Disappointed by the masala chai latte - was like milk with tea and dust.
service here is very fast, waitress not very friendly though. ordered poached eggs and friend ordered eggs benedict. poached eggs very cheap at $9! was quite small with only one piece of toast so price is justified. eggs were poached perfectly! friend said their food was nice, but weren't a fan of the hollandaise sauce. overall a nice place to catch up with friends and would definitely recommend.
Came here, unplanned, for brunch with my friends on Sunday. Yummy food and yummy drinks. A lot to choose from on the menu. I ordered the Yardy Beef Burger, and an Ice Mocha. Would definitely come back again.
Came here for breakfast on Saturday morning. Was originally heading to pixel however this place seemed more inviting and there was plenty of seating.service was absolutely wonderful. Staff accomodating to my usual side dish request. Coffee came out prompt and hot. No complaints at all. Lovely
I've been here a few times and this time I can't fault my experience this morning! The vegan options on the menu were great! I'm very picky with veggie options on menus as I find they can be repetitive and boring across the Perth breakfast scene... But I can't say that about the Oxford Yard. I had the field mushrooms with leek, kale and tomato kasundi. Loved the whole meal and looking forward to the porridge next time I'm there ☺️ have to mention they made a walk in table of 8 fit in for a breakfast on a Sunday morning 👌🏽 (sorry my friends are unorganised) .

Some friends and I met up here last week for a late brunch/lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The staff are the same. The service is quick. It wasn't busy when we went, so I'm not sure if this is the same when there is a large crowd.
The menu holds some delicious staples - toasts, museli, egg dishes etc. I have taken to pulled pork eggs benedict these days, so Porky Eggs for me. The meat was moist and flavoured well, it just works with the hollandaise sauce and gooey poached eggs. The serving was huge! I only managed to finish half of it. They use sourdough bread as the base for most of their breakfast dishes. My friends both enjoyed their meals.
They do have specials which looked and sounded delicious - sliders, muffins etc - which change frequently. Their drink menu is made in house and their juices are delivered daily from a local juice press. I had orange and apple mixed - it was fresh and perfect accompaniment to the slightly heavy breakfast dish. My friend devoured her milkshake with approval.
We will definitely be back. There are more menu items I wish to try.
We've hit up Oxford Yard a few times now and have found them to be consistently good! Yet to have a bad meal but their feta and dukkah scrambled eggs are a personal favourite.
I wish they did pancakes or some other decadent sweet breakfast offering though.

Popped in for a coffee yesterday. The staff are very friendly and I really liked the simple but funky decor of the place. My soy flat white was pretty good, would be keen to try some of the awesome looking pastries on display.
Quick and super friendly service. Barely had to wait for a takeaway coffee. The coffee was a tad weak for my liking but had good flavour. I'd go an extra shot next time.
It's been a while, but it's hard to forget those fritters! Plump, with a generous side of rocket and carrot crisps, they were admittedly on the dry side, and tended to fall apart quite easily, but the beetroot relish worked wonders in bringing it altogether. If I'm honest, I could probably go for a bowl of the carrot crisps by themselves - very well done.
The staff were more than accommodating with our request to substitute smoked salmon instead of bacon into the toastie, and gladly so - what a comforting throwback to simpler times!
To start with staff are very friendly, food was nice, but not amazing, still worth a visit. The bill came to $90 for 4 people which I think was great value.

I head here nearly every Saturday for coffee with my gym buddies... They do a really great almond milk coffee! They also do great regular coffees... Easy going staff too.

Last week my friend and I decided to check out Oxford Yard after seeing it reviewed on The Urban List. The place is on the other side of Oxford Street, away from the usual cafe strip and is located near a TAFE (smart move – feeding all the hungry hungry students). The menu offered a variety of breakfast items as well as lunch items. I was torn between trying the beef brisket or the open lamb kebab. In the end I opted for the pulled beef brisket which was served with a potato rosti, poached egg, a pot of gravy and a side of salad. It was nicely presented, the portion size was big (value for money) and the beef brisket was tender and flavoursome. The potato rosti wasn’t what I expected as I was thinking it would be more ‘fluffy’ like a hash brown but it was still nice.
This place works miracles ... it gets Uni students to eat Brussels sprouts!!! In my time at Uni it was all hot chips and vinegar, not a lettuce leaf insight. But I can see why, they were delicious. I blogged about this place in 2014 and it's still great. And the chocolate brownies ahhh they were the size of a 6 foot 7 waterpolo players palm. Almost makes me want to go back to Uni ... almost.
Labour Day means labour is in focus. So 10% surcharge. Unfortunately I didn't stay long enough to get value for money for my 10%. Staff were a bit too efficient, whisking away our plate mere seconds after the spoon was put down. Choc brownie was a winner, choc milkshake a goodie and then the coffee. Mild blend and nicely presented but too much foam. Good thing I am not Mugatu from Zoolander so I politely left the cup 1/3 filled with foam as we made our escape from the noisy echoey chamber that is Oxford Yard.
Three cheese toastie, nom nom nom. Great coffee for a decent price, nom nom nom. Order at the counter, take a number and they come out to you. They had a great range of homemade muffins on the counter and sandwiches in the glass cabinet. Friendly staff. They even allowed me to have my items as ''take-away'' even though I was eating in, my husband had his meal as eating in. I am a slow small eater/drinker at the best of times so having this option available makes me want to return to try other items on the menu! There were a mix of indoor and outdoor tables.
Delicious Breakfast ! I had the scrambled eggs with Feta and my friend had the Big Breakfast ! We were offered replacement sides at no extra cost as my friend does not eat bacon and I chose to skip the toast ! This was VERY impressive as most places just charge you the same regardless ! The coffee was great ! Will Definitely be going back !
Stopped in for a late lunch on Saturday, service was friendly and efficient, waitresses were happy to see my little boy (and that's not always the case at some places when you show up with a toddler!) and menu had plenty of options including all day brekkie YAY! We had the chicken & roast carrot salad, steak sandwhich, the zucchini fritters and some coffees. Everything was yummy & the prices were really reasonable. Terrible photos as by 2pm we were all starving and couldn't wait to eat. Would definitely come again. Thanks for being kid friendly!

Ohmygoodness they get busy! Order ahead if you can! Plenty of people had done so at breakfast this morning, looking smug as they collected their tray of coffee goodness. And it was good coffee indeed. Meals were also good value and very tasty. Will happily return the next time I'm visiting the TAFE.

Went there in the arvo and was fairly quiet. Room inside and out for sit ins. Have counter food and food menu. Coffee was reasonably priced and a quality cup of. Service was slow to get order/attention but after that can't fault. Quick and friendly. Definitely worth a look when you're in leedi!
My all time favourite coffee shop in Perth. The staff and super friendly and cool, a true "yard" vibe to the shop decor and really yum coffees, mochas, milkshakes and homemade sweets (always changing and on display on the counter).
Also perfect for when (if you're at the Leederville TAFE) you're running late and need a coffee or only have a short lunch break. PLUS, being lactose intolerant, I'm impressed they do rice milk as well as soy milk (I usually get rice milk bc it's sweeter and more yum than soy).
I was on the hunt for matcha latte and I thought I'd check this place out as it has been on my list for a while. No matcha latte however their eat in menu looks fantastic. Amazing sounding selection of toasties. None of the sweets on display toon my fancy so I left empty handed but I will be back. Large outdoor area.
Breakfast at Oxford Yard was a midweek treat with a work colleague. We were at the TAFE campus and stumbled upon this cafe as we walked back towards the car. We proceeded inside and picked up a menu. There was a large display fridge packed with ciabattas and other breads ready for toasting. I noticed that everything had salad so my fingers were crossed that I could make up my own toasted sandwich.
I didn't get a chance to try the food but I loved the industrial lighting features and cool urban vibe. Located beside TAFE this venue offers plenty of al fresco dining options. It is bright and fresh with great lighting and offers a wide range of desserts and cake options. My sister tried the raw ball which was HUGE and tasted great from what I heard. I opted for a juice that I asked them to make from a selection of fruit and fruit juices. Overall the staff were very friendly and happy to help me with my juice questions. I am look g forward to going back to try the food options.

Leederville’s cafe scene probably attracts just as many cyclists as some of the coastal cafes. It’s easy to see why – the cafes have outdoor tables with lots of space to park bikes and keep and eye on them. Oxford Yard is one such Leedy cafe that is popular with the cyclists as well as the Lorna Jane wearing yummy mummies of Perth.
Decent coffee (certainly worth a 2nd visit). Friend ordered the quesadillas which looked (and apparently tasted) awesome.

A nice cafe with simple, good food and a really nice atmosphere. The sweet muffin I had was good (if not as good as Sayers, which for my money do the best muffins in Perth). On another occasion I had scrambled eggs, which were nice too. I've never had my socks knocked off here but the food is consistently good, the vibe is very pleasant and generally I'm a fan and will be back.

I had a Thai beef salad here once and it was great. Their iced mochas are good too, and only $5, and when it's takeaway it comes in a plastic cup thing that is thick and actually has substance to it, seems really good quality. Love the atmosphere and location.
Edit: Just tried the potato hash cake. It was so good. Not super filling, but satisfying. Also had a short macchiato which was delicious.

The rumours are TRUE!. After hearing about this little place tucked away next to Tafe on Oxford street I thought I would give it a try ... now, after having brekky there yesterday I just want to move in! Cafes in Perth are a dime a dozen, they come and go - rise and fall .. but this place has it all. Friendly attentive staff who smile, a funky fit-out that is both comfortable and stylish, a clean, open kitchen where I could see my food being made and a line out the door which, for me is indicative of something that is worth the wait (not that there was one!). The manager seems to know everyone and has an easy, involved manner which is approachable and professional all in one. Now onto my brekky .... wow ... Fresh, crumbly cornbread with perfectly cooked, slightly crispy bacon and mashed avo ... get in my FACE! Such a great combination - I haven't had cornbread like that since I lives in South Florida. A flat white .. perfect temperature and flavour .. delivered to my table by a friendly barista. I cannot rave enough about this place!! I saw on the blackboard they are opening for Friday dinner for a "Social Club" ... I will be there with bells on!

A good café with BYO. Had a lovely lunch here. Both had Pork Quesadillas. Good food, very tasty. Service laid back and quiet to the point of being reserved, but very quick and friendly enough. Choc Brownie was a wee bit dry (and small) but tasted good. Being gluten free accounts for the texture to a degree. BYO means we can use it for lunch. Definitely a place to return to.
Good eggs. Great setting, so long as the weather is nice. We had the scrambled fetta eggs that were yum! Mango smoothie was good too. I will come here again.
I love this place! Beautiful staff who are so friendly and willing to help. They made me a special vegan breakfast (mushrooms and spinach on toast at my request) and nothing was too much hassle for them! I highly recommend them for any vegans who want a hot breakfast :) this is definitely my new favourite spot!

What a winner!. JJust back from a 'pre Xmas family gathering' at Oxford Yard. With people flying off around the world/going to work/otherwise busy, breakfast Saturday morning was all we could manage to coordinate. Took a punt with Oxford yard, as had heard good reports from family members/work colleagues. What a great choice! They even agreed to book a table for 11 of us for 8.30am Saturday morning, when the place is usually busy with caffeine-recovering cyclists (always a good sign that that the coffee is better than average). And the food, service and everything else was totally awesome – my poached eggs just the right degree of ‘runni-ness’. Lovely, competent, friendly staff, who served our varying orders SO QUICKLY you couldn't believe it. I will def be back, and will encourage others to do likewise. Thanx so much guys for making our family get-together so enjoyable

Back in Perth for a month & found this gem.. A nice little area with decent food and coffee.
It's not table service. The food was generally ok, I had the mushroom bruschetta. It needed to be toasted more and lacked a bit of flavour. The portion size was decent though and it was so chaep at $12. Coffee was excellent and hot as asked.

We always park on Oxford Street & it's located far enough out of Leederville that you avoid the parking & traffic stress. The menu is inexpensive & has plenty of variety as well as the other dishes that are available in the display cabinet area or the muffins & cakes on the counter. Yummo!
This place definitely ticks the boxes & we will be heading back again today with our kids for lunch, can't wait!

This week I stumbled across a new cafe in Leederville called Oxford Yard and was immediately blown away by the miracles taking place inside. The first, and most mind-blowing sight was witnessed two steps inside the front door. There in the display cabinet were a range of salads. Nothing special about that you say. True but ponder this … the café is situated next to a huge TAFE college. You see where I’m coming from? My past life as a university student was heavily fuelled by vinegar sodden chips bought from the campus ref. The only time anything remotely 'salady' passed our lips was when a Mexican café arrived selling cheap bean tostadas. Even then the salad was limited to a few token pieces of lettuce and tomato that were quickly smothered in cheese, thereby rendering the nutritional value of the lettuce null and void. So I wasn’t expecting brightly coloured, fresh, crisp salads.
Amazing Cafe!! Come for the great food, stay for the spectacular service! All the staff were super friendly and helpful, really happy to be there and made the atmosphere great! Brunch was nice with generous serving size. Quality drinks and lots of exciting things to try on their menu- even a Nutella hot chocolate. Nice indoor and outdoor area to choose from and nice selection of sweet & savoury for take-away!
Very lovely and relaxed vibe here indoor and out. Brad and the other staff we’ve encountered during the visit were all lovely and friendly. Sausage roll was delicious and coffees here are just amazing, very well roasted at the perfect temperature… love it!! Definitely be returning when I am next in the area :)

Got the Beef Brisket and Egg. Tasted very good. Good price. Was about 19. Got some chips for my kid. Large helping was about 5 dollars. Kid's Eggs on Toast for the kid. Got a taste of it. Tasted good.
