Always delicious and love the feeling / like being in a Frida Kahlo painting. I go as often as I can considering I live an hour away. Lucky my dad lives nearby as an excuse. The coffee is excellent - they train their baristas well. I can't go past the pumpkin and feta toasted ciabatta - every time I'm surprised by how yummy it is. Yesterday I took an old friend and I had the meatballs - too die for - so full of flavour and rich and warm and in this day well priced. My friend had a bruschetta topped with bacon and glossy with red tomatoes and avocado. She tucked in with joy. We had a lovely chat at the beautiful tiled table. The staff were friendly and so accommodating. Then I discover to my joy I can eat most of the desserts as they are gluten free. Well I had the berry/almond cake with cream. Wow!!! So good. I love this place and live in hope it's there forever. It used to be my local deli where I bought lollies bags when I was 7. Now it's my top pick from joondalup to Mandurah for a good breakfast or lunch. Smile and be gracious with the two beautiful sisters who run it and they'll bend over backwards to make your time beautiful. ❤️

Cute little corner cafe in suburbia serving up decent breakfast/brunch and coffee. Step inside and you are greeted with an interior decor full of eclectic nick-nacks, antiques and pictures, giving the cafe a homely yet funky vibe. Tables inside were all taken so we headed to the small outdoor garden area which was nice. Menu isn’t huge but the Pumpkin and poached eggs on ciabatta we ordered was tasty and staff were very friendly.
Good little spot if you can look beyond the pretentious locals taking selfies.
What a gem of a place, almost hidden in a residential street in West Leederville. A refurbished old house, the space is just so flexible, with a back room that feels like a lounge and the front area that seems more like a dining space. The cakes are divine and the coffee is good. It’s not really child friendly, which is good, because sometimes you want to enjoy a meal without them running around tugging at plants and screeching through brunch.
Had a great breakfast here this morning! The service was friendly, and as we had an appointment to get to they were really helpful in getting us out on time. The food Ham Benedict, and eggs on ciabatta with smashed avo was delicious and generously portioned. My husband who is really particular with his coffee said it was a great coffee too.
Super satisfied, will definitely return.
The ambience is wonderful. I loved the rustic antique feel of everything. It's child friendly though I didn't see any food suitable for a toddler. I loved the coffee, strong but not bitter.

A friend suggested we meet here for a Sunday brunch as it was one of her old reliables. This was my first visit and it won't be my last!
I personally enjoy a sweet breakfast when I'm eating out but there was none of note on the menu so we ended up getting the tomato bruschetta and the meatballs and splitting the two. I couldn't fault the flavours of either. The bruschetta had the freshest of ingredients especially the bread used. The same bread was in the meatball dish which was usual for a breakfast meal but was so divine we didn't care! The presence of an egg on this dish was a little odd we felt however.
I had the chai latte to drink and unfortunately didn't enjoy it at all. Unusual spiced flavours and slightly on the cold side.
Couldn't but mention the cute kitsch decor in this place that made you half feel you were eating in your nana's living room!

It was ok. To be fair I think I had really high expectations, been wanting to visit for a long time.
Nothing wrong with what I ordered: piccolo's breakfast which has poached eggs, avocado and peas, crispy bacon, chilli jam on toast. All were ok though the poached eggs could have been rinsed a little because there was a strong vinegar taste and smell. Not a memorable dish though and certainly wasn't worth the $20 plus dollars charged. I know Perth food is pricey but I have had better for lesser the price.
Mr Fussy had scramble on toast (I think it was also above $20). He was ok with it but also quite unimpressed.
Tiramisu was dry and certainly not my favourite at all. Sponge didn't even taste soaked in coffee or liquor it was seriously just soft sponge with coffee flavoured mascarpone cream layers. It's different from what I expected, I guess. Two others we dined with liked it a lot, to be fair.
Polenta berry cake was moist and nice served warm with a dollop of cream. At $8 , it wasn't cheap but I think it was the closest to deserving that price tag compared to the rest of the food I had here.
Why am I being such a critical cheapskate? The question is, why not ?
Don't get me wrong, I had decent food here with decent service (ok the wait was quite long because the place was packed) but I didn't really have anything memorable enough for me to come running back. Love the outdoor garden though, it's a nice little spot to dine in.
Delightful little cafe nestled in leafy West Leederville. Reminded me of my Great Grandmothers place except the food, coffee and service was great. Old Doris lost her way in her later years.
Hands down. Still my favourite brunch place. Great interior, service and food. Although parking may be tough sometimes, you usually get a spot pretty fast.
Prices are reasonable considering the taste. Favourite dish is the smash avo/pumpkin.

It’s been a while since I have been here, but each time I go it does not disappoint. And they have so much more parking now on the street, which makes it so much more inviting. It is one of these places that is a must go to place. Quirky and quaint neighbourhood café with an awesome courtyard full of greenery and nick-knacks. Greeted with a friendly smile, I went with the meatballs in tomato sauce, poached egg and crusty bread and a long Mac topped up; last time I was here the meatballs were off the menu. It was chilly, but I was rugged up and decided to enjoy the courtyard for myself with everyone else inside the small indoors space. Coffee and food came out quickly, I guess I was there almost at opening. Coffee is always good here, and the meatballs looked wonderful with plenty of sauce. The flavour was amazing with 3 large meatballs and an egg cooked to perfection. The sauce was sweet and acidic; perfect combination for the meatballs. The crusty breed was hand to scoop up the warm sauce; my plate was clean! Another wonderful outing that reinforced yet again, why I love coming here; feels like a big friendly hug!
One of THE BEST place to be for brunch and lunch.. The staff are wonderful, great service and the food, OMG the food is WO.N.D.E.R.F.U.L.

Had a smoked salmon and poached eggs with toast for lunch. Sumptuous meal and the quality is good. Washed it down with a fine cup of cappuccino! Very satisfied :)
This cute little cafe is honestly my favourite place to eat in Perth! You have the option to eat outside in the garden and you can tell the owners have put in much thought and effort into the decorative details.
Be prepared for a 20-30 min wait for food (standard for brunch), however the wait is well worth it.
The food isn't heavy and doesn't weigh you down- however, you will leave with a satisfied belly.

Food here is amazing! A friend and I went on a weekday morning and were one of the only guests there, a welcome surprise when I'd read so many reviews saying it gets super busy! Assumed our food would come out pretty quickly since we seemed to be one of the only tables eating, my friends granola came after maybe 15 minutes, took my mushroom bruschetta an extra 20 minutes! Felt so bad for my friend who was starving but wanted to wait until I got my food. It was delicious though which mostly made up for the long wait, we had a juice and a smoothie each as well which we're both delicious. The outdoor area is very cute, shady and picturesque.
Found this little gem at the corners of West Leederville! The ambience is absolutely delightful - vintage deco with a cafe feel to it. We ordered the smashed avo and mushroom bruschetta which we both find made well. Nothing too special with the food but it's definitely worth coming for. The coffee was great! Overall great place for a catch-up sesh with good company.
Have been meaning to check this place out for such a long time. Sadly only popped in today for take away but know I definitely want to return to eat in. The funkiest decor I've seen pulled off. Doggy friendly. Friendly staff. Amazing looking home made cakes including GF options. I gave in to the GF chocolate torte which they zapped and served with cream. So. Damn. Good. Set in the beautiful residential area of West Leederville and close to Lake Monger. I will be back on another glorious day for sure!
Piccolo's is always pretty yummy. My fav is no longer on the menu but the piccolo's breaskfast is pretty good. Can't go anymore though cos we have a baby and it's a bit squishy. The seats are also a bit uncomfortable cos they are small. And now that I'm chronically tired you tend to really need comfort.
We always try to get around to different brunch places on weekends after walking our four legged furry friend but lately have been magnetized every time to Piccolo's Corner. Haven't had a bad meal or coffee from here yet, keep up the great work!
Great vibes at this gem of a place whether coffee or food you are after you won't be disappointed. Awesome setup with a nostalgic feel to the juxtaposed with modern music. Adjacent gardens to chillax in aswell as "hole-in-the wall" coffee ordering setup if you don't want to enter this amazing place and be bombarded with the amazing layout.

What a delightful little surprise to walk into!
After repeatedly seeing "Piccolos' Corner" come up in reviews, blogs and other such online forums I decided at last minute to try somewhere new and I am glad that I did. This rating is biased on atmosphere!
I don't know whether the vibe is so chilled being in suburbia or the owners have worked hard to maintain the feeling of "walking into a family friends home" (you know the kind that you could drop in at anytime and they will always greet you with arms wide open and even make your lunch for school the next day) because as I sat down to wait for my coffee I felt quite at home!
Having the sun kiss your cheek through a window sill of yesteryear was charming, enough for me to get so engrossed in my book for 2 hours that when I regained consciousness to the real world it only felt like 2 minutes had passed.
The staff where all friendly and efficient, I had a slice of gluten free pear and date cake (they had great GF sweet options that did not look like they came out of a packet) and most importantly my long(strong) black.
Not too hot with a great crema. Thank you.

Piccolo’s Corner is among one of my favourite brunch cafes in Perth. It is hidden away in Leederville in the leafy residential suburban area rather than the hustle bustle of the Leederville main strip. It’s a quaint decorated little café with an outdoor garden-like area, that makes you feel like you are in the countryside rather than the city. The food here is simple, super tasty and well-priced. I absolutely love the smashed pumpkin. The flavours work really well – the sweetness from the pumpkin contrasting with the saltiness from the feta combined with a love pesto and crusty ciabatta bread. I’m so glad that I was lucky enough to have stumbled across this hidden gem and highly recommend!
Cute decor with mismatched tables and chairs. You order at the counter and you take your own cutlery next to the counter, the server kindly informed me of this. I ordered a chai latte and the smashed pumpkin, which was sweet and tasty. I was sufficiently full afterwards. I went on a weekend closer towards lunchtime and it was fairly busy inside. Although all tables were taken when we first arrived it did not take long at all to get a table, around five minutes perhaps. I did not find it too difficult to find street parking but this might be different earlier in the day and in summer. Service was friendly and we did not have to wait too long for our food. It was not too noisy inside and we were able to hold a conversation easily with each other. Would love to come back for a sweet treat and tea next time.
Came for breakfast on a Friday morning and managed to find a table. Enjoyed the Bircher muesli although the serving was pretty small compared to other places. Mushrooms were tasty but overpriced for what came out. Service was pleasant overall and ambiance of the place was great but a bit expensive for what we got.
My favourite breakfast in Perth, I always get the smashed avocado with chorizo and am never disappointed. Great coffee and a good atmosphere. It's usually really busy so you might have to wait for a table or your food but it's worth it!
A small cafe in a housing area, the place has got comfy environment but too small, do not accommodate family well here.

Stopped off here on a busy Saturday morning at 9:30am. This place was packed, there were heaps of people lining up to get a table. I came here to order their Bircher muesli, it was $13.50. I was told it was a 30 minute wait. My food came after 20 minutes, and I was surprised by how small the portion was. For $13.50 I got a bowl of bircher and fruit the size of my hand which I finished in about 6 mouthfuls. At least it was tasty and fresh. Upon leaving, I noticed how everyone else had ordered smashes on sourdough bread and they looked tasty- maybe I'll try those bext time I come!
I am SO excited to finally write this post. I have tried to dine in Piccolo’s Corner a few times but it always seems to be so busy so we have left and gone elsewhere. Finally, we got to have breakfast here!. A midweek visit at the perfect time of 11.30am meant we had a choice of where to sit. Previously, when we went to Piccolo’s Corner, there were no tables..which is always a good sign because my favourite type of venue is a full one.
Lovely little neighbourhood cafe with early risers and lots of locals.Its a small space with a couple of shared tables. Coffee was good but small and food was tasty but pricy. I loved their beats this morning, was in a very funky vibe 🎧🎵🎶 and reminded me of Austin cafes.
Cute little corner cafe with a steady stream of locals on a weekday lunch. Setting is quaint. Delicious sounding menu. Price range is high for standard serving sizes. Food is tasty though. A decent option if you are in the area.
Really good food but the location was a bit hard to find. The side garden of this cafe is amazing and the staff is so friendly. The cafe is pretty small and just fit our big family. The food was good, however it was a bit bland. Other then that will be coming back.

First time popping in this morning with two friends. Heard and seen so many friends that visit and seems to be quite popular, so we gave it a try.
Definitely have to say the trek all the way to West Leederville was well worth it and it wasn't completely packed. We grabbed a table in the back room, which had only recently been decorated and opened to be used for more seatings. The room was full of unique paintings and unique decor. Gave a very lovely warm feeling and we were feeling so welcomed and comfortable while dining.
The staff members were friendly and on different occasions had staff come and check on us to make sure everything was good. Definitely a plus for customer service, especially when it is very common for people to forget about a small back room.
The food was delicious! Don't think I've ever cleared a plate that fast, I normally take my time eating as well. The roasted pumpkin, spinacah, fetta, poached egg with Pesto on Ciabatta was perfect for the cold weather in Perth.
3 very satisfied women walked out after a good breakfast and coffee.

My new favourite brunch spot in Perth! Piccolo's Corner has that homey feel to it, like Grandma's house from your childhood fairytale stories. It's tiny and cosy, with a big garden and rather tasteful china. We went on a Saturday morning, and the cafe was packed full, as predicted. Luckily we were able to secure a seat outside, under the roof too, which was very useful as it rained something terrible that day.
I ordered the famous mashed pumpkin on toast while my friend tried the avocado on toast, the waitress informed us that there will be a 35 minutes wait on our order, but it was fine with us. We had our drinks and the conversation was interesting enough that the wait for our food went by like a breeze.
The avocado on toast was covered with fried chorizo bits, which was delicious! The chorizo was cripy and flavourful, while the avocado seasoning well balanced. You really could find no fault in this dish.
The mashed pumpkin, on the other-hand, was even better! Now I know why this dish is so popular, I don't even like pumpkin and I've finished every last bite of that dish! The pesto sauce worked really well with the sweet pumpkin mash, the poached egg was the perfect addition.
I'm just happy this place is so close to my GP placement, will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!
Had a fantastic breakfast here in their beautiful garden setting. There is not much like it around the surrounding suburbs of the cbd. The coffee is also quality.
Found this gem of a place. Not much to say except for oustanding coffee, awesome smashed avo and great atmoshere! Oh and the pistachio cake was to die for!!!
Exceptionally fast service, it wasn't very busy for a Thursday brunch but there was barely a wait for the drinks or food! I had the Piccolo's Breakfast, the eggs were perfect and the bacon serving was generous. The only critique is that they don't do avocado/smashed avo by itself, everything on the menu is 'smashed avocado and peas' including on the extras menu. As a lover of avo but not so much peas I was a little disappointed.
This little cafe is tucked away in an awesome location. The back garden area is a nice surprise :) the best place to sit!!!
I had the pumpkin breakfast, it is one of my favourites here, a nice change from avocado. The chai is a milky tea in a pot, a nice change from powdered chai. My boyfriend got the eggs on Ciabatta and a side of crispy bacon. He is a very fussy eater especially when it comes to meat, to say the least he said bacon was beautiful and ate every last piece, impressive..
Will definitely be making another trip to this awesome place :)

Fresh, countryside and inviting; the first three things that spring to mind when you first step inside the quaint Piccolo’s Corner café at the corner of St. Leonards Ave and Woolwich St in West Leederville. Although it’s located in Perth’s inner-city, it ironically embodies the opposite feeling of a city; real, not artificial.
Just had a beautiful brunch on Wednesday morning around 11. The place wasn't packed but had people coming in and out for takeaways. I ordered the tomato bruchetta with an egg and bacon. I also asked for some of their balsamic glaze on the side and paid $1.50 for GF bread. I was not disappointed! Food came out quickly tasted beautiful! Nothing to complain about and all other meals at the table were the same. The GF bread was one of the better ones I've had and their juices are well priced and NOT full of ice like other places. Staff were super friendly and efficient, happy to help me in any way they could! Only wish was that the aircon was turned on! Will be back for sure!
Sitting in the courtyard having breakfast feels like waking up in a little cottage while someone is serving you breakfast. Beautiful decor inside and outdoor. Very good coffee and food. Great service makes you feel like home.

The weekend after arriving back from Thailand, Dave and I were up for a lazy Sunday brunch somewhere new. We had smashed a couple of the local brekky spots near us (Hardware Cafe, Little Sisto’s) and so after abit of internet research, we decided on Piccolo’s Corner in West Leederville. Piccolos Corner is literally located on a leafy, residential suburban corner in West Leederville, on the corner of Woolich and St Leonards, and is a cafe converted from a character home.
I was in dillema to choose between avocado and pumpkin :( cause i love both! So, as suggested by my friend, i chose the avocado because its not wholly vegetarian. The taste was nice! First because i just love acocado so much anything with it would be nice for me and this dish has just the right taste, seasoning and combination to it. The dish made me want to come back for the pumpkin one next time.
Lovely, kitsch little spot with a nice little garden out back. The food is always great too. I only wish it wasn't cash only!
Ordered two cappuccinos, pumpkin pesto and piccolo's breakfast. Two of the three poached eggs were perfectly cooked, bacon was tender and breads were great. Avo and pea smash had a bit too much pea for my liking but still tasted good. Coffees looked the part but tasted a bit average compared against great coffees I've had around the area.
Awesum little suburban cafe...unpretentious, cosy, eclectic with damn good food! Great poached eggs & the best bacon I've had out - not salty or cheap tasting. Quality ingredients. The bread is a little small but actually it didn't matter, absolutely full after brekky. Lovely spot...will be back!
One of the best cafes in perth!
Love the chorizo and smashed avocado on bread! So delicious. The one thing that gets me is the bread they use, these days most places use bread that is toasty but too hard and crunchy to actually cut into. Piccolo's Corner use a crunchy but still soft in the centre bread that brings perfection to the rest of the dish.
Interior is gorgeous and the little garden outdoor dining area is super cute aswell.
I just wish this place was closer to home, definitely one of my favourites! :)

What a scorcher Saturday morning in Perth! It was a lovely day to head out to this beautiful, tucked away cafe and just enjoy some really healthy dishes to start off the weekend.
When we first arrived the cafe looked really small but if you walk around the side of this cafe it has a nice garden area which you can sit down and eat in.
The staff are really friendly and very efficient. When we ordered our food they advised us that there was a waiting time for the food but we weren't phased by this. It was really only 30 minutes to wait for our food but it felt like only 20.
We ordered the Bircher Muesli and the Scrambled eggs with Chorizo on the side.
To start off with the Bircher Muesli, the serving size was perfect. Most cafes put so much on one plate and a huge dollop of yoghurt but this Bircher was the perfect size that would make you satisfied and not overly full. This dish focused on bringing the natural flavours of fruit to play without being over powered by honey or sweeteners, this was an option on the side.
The scrambled eggs came out also the perfect portion size. The bread was toasted slightly and you could tell it has just been made that day, so fresh. It was so easily to cut into and to top it off, the eggs were so perfectly cooked, not too runny or milky and not too over cooked. I got chorizo on the side which you received about 5-6 pieces, this was also cooked perfectly.
Overall the food was really fresh and really affordable. There was a lot of flavour and you could tell how much effort was put into these two dishes.
Cute little cafe, I've been meaning to go here for awhile and I was happy with the service and the food, although we arrived late and only got the choice of food on the counter, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice my ham cheese bagel as well as the cold iced coffee I had for such a warm day. I would definitely come back!
Went for breakfast on Sunday morning, food was good but very slow. Coffee wasn't the best. Nice location and cosy feel. As always the case in Perth, the food and coffee is overpriced. Saying all this, I will visit again.

I enjoyed my breakfast this morning of the smashed pumpkin & feta with poached egg and basil pesto on ciabatta. The pumpkin was sweet and nicely roasted which went well with the saltiness of the feta and basil pesto. My friend had the mushroom bruschetta which she claimed was pretty average but I really liked my dish, especially as pumpkin is one of my favourite vegetables. We went at 8am so there were still seats available but the cafe filled up quite fast.
Piccolo’s Corner is located on the corner of two leafy streets in West Leederville, and is one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it kind of places. You certainly wouldn’t expect anything remarkable from the outside, but I’d heard many good things so decided to check it out for myself…
I got the smashed pumpkin, with feta and toasted ciabatta. As always, I could have gone with more bread, but that's just me. The sweetness of the pumpkin and saltiness of the feta worked very well together, and a poached egg can never go wrong.
My partners in crime for the day both enjoyed their meals: the smashed avocado and their housemade meatballs. The avocado smash came out looking like a colourful dream. Heaps of feta stacked on a generous chorizo, stacked on avocado, stacked on a a slice of ciabatta, and topped off with a poached egg. How could you go wrong with that?
The housemade meatballs were described to me as, "it didn't look like much on the plate, but I was definitely full afterwards." Coming out with only three meatballs, I didn't expect much from this dish. But what it lacked in presentation, it made up with in flavour. I'm sure going to give this one a go next time I come back.
Long wait for food as this place is always busy..About a 45 minute wait without any notice that it would take a while. We were starving by the time the food came out but the food was amazing as always. Smashed pumpkin is always a winner and great bread.

Decided to check this place out for Friday brunch. It was slightly busy even for a weekday but after not making a booking we were still able to get a table straight away. The staff were also really nice but not overly helpful and kind of just left us be. Service time was also a bit surprising considering how quiet it was.
Ordered the mushrooms sautéed in garlic butter, the spicy beans and chorizo and a piccolo's breakfast for the main dishes. Though the pricing is definitely a bit steep for the portion size which was honestly a bit disappointing, the flavours were really great. Decided to also try out a few of the juice and smoothies options. Tip: try to choose the dine in option where possible as you actually get significantly more! They tasted nice and the juice especially was really fresh however they weren't really worth their price tag. The actual place is also so cute. Definitely on the smallish side, space wise, the menu however doesn't disappoint as there are some great options.
Piccolo's corner is worth a visit if your not too hungry and just want some great food in a nice little cosy environment! Verdict: delicious! :)
Ordered the free range eggs adding some soked salmon. Did not expect it to look so ordinary due to the rating of this place. Eggs however were perfectly poached. My friends smashed pumpking dish was pretty good though.
As soon as you walk into piccolos you are immediately met with the dull humming of customers talking in the background and the buzzing of staff working behind the counter..The place is packed..You are then assaulted with the smell of freshly made coffee.. Sat down to a plate of smashed peas +avocardo and a plate of smashed pumpkin. The food was simple, uncomplicated and wholesome. Full of color and flavor. Staff were attentive and friendly. This is a cafe I would definitely come back to.
Excellent food and drinks. Only thing i would improve on is the organization behind the counter seemed to be a shambles when they were busy. OJ came out 3/4 of the way through my meal which wasn't ideal but ill definitely be back
I had the pumpkin smash with additional smoked salmon, whilst my friends had the mushroom bruschetta and smashed pea and avocado. They are all pretty good! Lovely ambiance and awesome coffee too! Piccolo's Corner really do live up to its name, being at the corner of the cosy little street.
A very vintage style little cafe. Very lovely and creative breakfast menu cooked with love. So flavourful! Most importantly you don't need to wait for long to have the meal served. Love this place and will definitely come back again for breakfast. Very highly recommended. Come in during the weekday is best as it is not busy and crowded. You can sit down n relax to enjoy your breakfast :)
A lovely cafe with such a hip feel. The decor is great, and really adds to the the vibe. The menu is quite small, but the dishes we ordered were delicious. We tried the mushroom bruschetta and the smashed avo, pea and chorizo. Both were great but the mushroom was the favourite. While the food was tasty, the staff could be a bit more enthused. Will still be back despite this.
Had a delicious meal here this morning. We both ordered the pumpkin and feta dish but replaced the egg with bacon. It was divine!! Definitely recommend :) we also had a look in the little op shop out the back and snagged a few bargains.
I love Piccolo's Corner! Yes it's tough to get a table but that's a credit to those who run it. I've been lucky to get a spot after trying a few times and really enjoyed my breakfast! I recommend it!
Fantastic food and service, only issue is the place is really crowded for its status as a brunch hangout. Food took a little long to come out, but that is what is expected in a busy restaurant. Reasonably priced. Would go again.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon and loved that it was in the suburban area of Leederville. It wasn't too busy but nobody acknowledged us when we walked in, so we sat down on the big table (group of 4). Decor was really strange, dead flowers everywhere amirite? It was really quirky and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Food took awhile to come out but coffees came out swiftly and were good. Note that the chai latte is a very generous serving! Our food finally came and looked delicious. Definitely would recommend anything (in the pic). Overall, really good and would come back again whilst ignoring the decor :)
I paid my second visit to Piccolos Corner in West Leederville recently. This suburb is currently my most very favourite for breakfast outings as it fair glitters with breakfast star performers. I had never really considered myself as one that frequently breakfasted, but there’s been many on my calendar of late. Mainly I suspect because my breakfast bud, Mrs P, appears to be trying to break records for the most breakies out in a week (and she is on a role!) and her and I have made quite the habit of heading out for breakfast on a Friday morning and I am very much enjoying it. It’s a lovely way to start a Friday, a day when you are already gearing up into weekend mode. It has the added bonus too of meaning you don’t need to worry about battling weekend breakfast crowds. It’s great to have a fellow weekday early bird.
Came here for brunch and it was relatively busy. Very small shop and could really tell they were struggling to keep up with the orders. Our coffees and food came slow. Coffee was so so, but the smashed pumpkin was great. Also had the piccolos breakfast - poached eggs were done nicely and the chutney was good. Like the homely decor in this joint.
I am SO excited to finally write this post. I have tried to dine in Piccolo’s Corner a few times but it always seems to be so busy so we have left and gone elsewhere. A midweek visit at the perfect time of 11.30am meant we had a choice of where to sit. Previously, when we went to Piccolo’s Corner, there were no tables..which is always a good sign because my favourite type of venue is a full one.
The weekend after arriving back from Thailand, Dave and I were up for a lazy Sunday brunch somewhere new. We had smashed a couple of the local brekky spots near us (Hardware Cafe, Little Sisto’s) and so after abit of internet research, we decided on Piccolo’s Corner in West Leederville. Piccolos Corner is literally located on a leafy, residential suburban corner in West Leederville, on the corner of Woolich and St Leonards, and is a cafe converted from a character home. We parked on St Leonards Street about 30 metres down from the quaint cafe but upon arriving at the Cafe, read a blackboard out the front which asked punters to refrain from parking on St Leonards – whether that was to do with disgruntled residents, or fine-happy inspectors, we weren’t sure, but Dave ducked back and moved the car onto Woolich Street just to be safe.
Small little place. Could imagine it would be crazy at peak times.
Nice coffee.
Good poached eggs.
Has a garden area (too cold/wet for our visit but looked very cool)
Another great brunch place in Leederville (so lucky!) with ample street parking nearby. The decor is quite funky and staff are really nice. The food is tasty and well priced. A lot of people complained about the food coming out too slow but our meals came out quite fast. . Rating: 80% - would highly recommend!
Cozy perfect place for brunch for any day of the week. Friendly attentive staff who genuinely loves their work and their customers.

Hidden cosy gem which has had fantastic food and coffee for years. These guys get it - if it’s not broken, don’t fix it!! Lovely food with favourites still on the menu. Love the coffee and outdoor garden to sit in. I hope they never close.

Lovely old building filled with quirky furnishings and plants. Yummy food, juice of the day my new favourite and the citrus tart I shared with my friend was to die for. Mishka the cat was very entertaining too.
