Pixel is a cafe that sits on Oxford Street about halfway down, away from the main Leederville hubbub and close to Bourke Street. There are tables inside and out, but not a lot of them. We started off seated at the coffee bar and the moved to a table as one became available. The menu is quite varied with healthy bowls, chia pudding, and brunch options and Pixel are famous for their array of milks. If you don’t drink dairy, they have pretty much every other option you could need. I chose the banana smoothie with coconut milk, a lovely thick banana honey smoothie with cinnamon – absolutely yum.
The food we ordered was delicious. They offer a unique menu to order from - refreshing to see. Need new menus though they are physically gross to touch
I still dream of the food here sometimes. Coffee is so good! Loved the chocolate cake with raspberry chia filling and rosemary buttercream. Staff were lovely! Perfect brunch spot.
Yummy food! I also ordered a coco smoothie which was pretty good. However the wait is pretty ridiculous. Waited about 30+ minutes for food When it wasn’t even busy. Yum food though.
Came here with my family for a coffee and piece of cake. We sat outside on the cute chairs. Service was very friendly and prompt. Nice coffee. We shared a slice of the chocolate and rose water cake, it was tasty. Would return. Reasonably priced too.
One of my favourite places for breakfast in Perth.
Good coffee, friendly staff and really good food, well presented. Little and cosy ambience.
Best green and lean food in Perth is my opinion .
They serve a range of vegan food with very good quality.
Cafe is awesome and cant make any complaints.
Latte art is one of the strengths
Location is near central and in heart of leederville.
Amazing açai bowl and treats! Delicious chai too. Wish this cafe is in Melbourne! Very cute cafe and got pretty busy on Monday easter morning
Quaint little cafe always busy. Love sitting out the front in the sun for their cold brew in summer. Stopped to pick up a coconut chia pudding on the run this morning. It looked so pretty. Cost $9.50 but was a good serve with passionfruit pulp through it and plenty of crunch on top with the granola and strawberries. I surrendered to a square of the persian love cake for later which looked so pretty. It was topped with some petals (or flowers, I can't remember now) and some dobs of cream cheese. It blew my mind and was finished alot quicker than planned! Crunchy outside, goey inside. Just amazing.
Been here a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. I ordered the poke bowl on this occasion and the serving was huge! Do yourself a favour and get something from the sweets display - they are to die for! Just don't forget to bring your appetite!!
I really enjoyed the French Toast here. It was served with maple syrup, bacon, banana and raspberry mascapone. It was eggy and super moist! The raspberry mascapone cut through the sweetness.
Love love loveee the overall aesthetic design and ambience of this little cafe in Leederville! The whole cafe gave off a earthy, warm and lovely vibe! They serve pretty healthy food and decent coffee (which is not pictured here oops). We had the daily special - roasted pumpkin with black rice and kale chips plus the paleo nourish bowl🙌🏼 Seasoned so well and cooked close to perfection. Plating done right as well. The only thing that bothers me is probably the price. It was on a pricey side, with food portions taken into consideration.
Overall, this is an absolute gem and I wouldn't mind coming again for the coffee and lovely ambience👌🏼❤️
Been here a few times now. Usually just for coffee, which is good, but on one occasion I had the Sweet French Toast and what a meal it was. Was so good I wanted seconds. Only real down side to this place is the price of the food. It is slightly on the expensive side but for what you get it is worth it.

This is a quiet a small cafe, so if you plan on going on the weekend, either go early or later as it gets quiet busy. The make the BEST coconut chia pudding, and the pixel plate is to die for! Service is always warm, welcoming and quick.
Pixel is a gorgeous little spot in Leederville. They've firmly made their mark on bustling Oxford Street as the go to for a healthy, balanced and delicious meal. I've had the Pix Plate which is to die for, I want it right now... and the Acai Bowl which is so filling and topped with beautiful seasonal fruit. Coffee's pretty good and they make a bangin' matcha latte, what more could you want? There's enough space for about 4-5 small groups of people inside, and the bench seats outside can seat a generous number of people – perfect for a sunny Perth day! Lock it in, I'm on my way now! ❤️
Small cafe with good atmosphere and friendly staff. My pumpkin smash was good and eggs poached to perfection. Got to come back to try the cakes.
Pixel coffee is a little cafe located in Leederville. I heard that they make awesome Acai bowl, so I had to check them out. When we arrived the cafe was pretty much full house, luckily we found a table outside. The staff was nice, we were immediately served.
Terry & I both ordered a cappuccino. It came out relatively quickly. The latte art was so beautiful for both of our capp. We both agreed that the coffee tasted nice although it is quiet weak and we’re not one to like strong coffee to begin with.
The Acai Bowl came out relatively quick as well considering it was full house. As you guys can see it was decorated to beautifully. The toppings all tasted super fresh which made my soul happy. The overall taste is pretty good, but it’s not the best Acai bowl I’ve had but it is decent. I rated it 7/10
Terry ordered this Smashed Pumkin on Sourdough with Poached Eggs, Cauliflower and Dukkah. The dish itself looks amazing and the ingredients tasted fresh. Although the poached eggs were over done and that always breaks his heart a little. But overall it was still a good meal. He rated it 7.5/10Overall we had a good experience and would recommend everyone to check them out. Especially if you're into healthier foods.
Pixel is a small cafe off the main Leedy strip. Those in the know, understand that the actual coffee on the main strip is pretty average, and you get a much better shot further up Oxford. Pixel is one such place, even though they still use five senses. Try the nitro cold brew. Cold coffee on tap is almost better than a good beer on tap!
I also judge a place on how well it does the simple stuff. I have ordered poached eggs on toast here about five time. Not once have i been disappointed to date. The eggs have always been poached well, bread is fresh, sprinkled with a little olive oil and then some sea salt topped butter.
The downside, or upside, depending on how you view things, is that it can be very busy and seats are limited.
Food here was ok nothing that amazing you would travel far for , coffee was good, again nothing special.
Price is a tad high especially when you pay $5 for crispy bacon and you get 3 small rashes.
Waiting for food was like "waiting for a mate" took at least 50-60 min and would of been fine if I was offered a complementary coffee.
I was really hesitant to try pixel because some of the reviews warned of issues with the food etc... But me and my friends were pleasantly surprised!!!!!
First of all the coffee IS SO GOOD, like so tasty and easy to drink. Almost dangerously easy...
I wasn't feeling that hungry but I got a piece of what the lady called a hummingbird cake which is a carrot cake pineapple cake hybrid! Although i didn't even manage to eat half, the cake was the best cake I've ever had out at a cafe or restaurant! Grab some of this amazing cake if you're ever here! You won't be disappointed!
Secondly the staff are a bit reserved here, like they're not extremely helpful but the beautiful older lady at the counter (maybe the owner?) was extremely helpful. Everyone was polite and doing their thing, which was nice because me and my friends appreciated not being bothered or constantly asked questions.
Third, the food! Both of the dishes we got - poached eggs with mushrooms and the pumpkin smash with bacon were delicious and my friends cleaned their plates. Although extremely overpriced, the food is really good quality and an amazing portion size! Pumpkin smash could easily be shared between two!
We stayed all morning and no one told us to move along or bothered us 🙋 the only gripe was my friends poached eggs were really over cooked, weren't runny at all and were very dry 😢but that is an easy mistake to rectify - if you like your eggs runny then I'd say please ask them for runny!!! 💛💛💛My other friends poached eggs were fine :😁
Pixel you have done me good and I'll be back for coffee!!! 😛😛😛
(Note: I added an extra half a point for the cute Samoyed dog with an adorable little pink bow next to her ear. She sat outside, obediently. The owner is a regular here, I believe.)
Came here on a weekday lunch time, alone. I have a irrational fear of dining out alone. There are several people here doing work so it didn't feel as horrific as I thought it would be. Strangers striking conversations with other strangers. It's a nice little community here in Leederville.
Coffee was standard.
Food was fresh but standard.
Seats were uncomfortable.
Staff were smiley, nice and extra friendly which made the small little cafe just slightly better.
As you may or may not be able to tell from the many blogs I have suddenly posted, the past few weeks have been extremely hectic filled with catch ups, birthdays, concerts, work and lots of new food places. A couple of weeks ago after having lunch at Three Sisters, a friend and I decided that we wanted something sweet before heading back to the office. Close by was Pixel Coffee which I remembered from their Instagram offered a lot of pretty sweets. We opted to share a lemon poppy seed cake and a matcha macadamia white chocolate brownie. The lemon poppy seed cake was nice and had a lovely lemon curd surprise in the middle. The brownie was okay – I thought that it lacked a matcha flavour. If it was just called a white chocolate macadamia brownie then it would have made more sense. Overall it was nice and I would like to try their food items and coffee to make a proper assessment of the café.
Although I am yet to eat here, I have had coffee and am always pleased. The cake selection is mouth watering and the menu sounds delightful. The staff were very friendly. I will go back for sure to try brunch!
Ordered the french toast and it was SO GOOD. It's a small little place but has such a lovely setting outside. Would totally recommend coming here for a good brunch!
I really need to visit Leederville more often because it seems this neighborhood is alive with activity and plenty of cafe choices to sit and enjoy a coffee. Located near the Italian deli Re-Store is a quaint little cafe called Pixel Coffee. It’s a popular haunt for locals and those that see the lovely looking photos through social media. I am the latter, and when I found myself in Leederville for an errand I made it a priority to stop by for a coffee. And some cake of course.
Beautiful little place, which obviously has a lot of love put into it. The little menu is great and the coffee is divine! They even make their own almond milk :) It has a super cute and cool fitout, and the cakes and little raw treats are delish. I wish I was in leederville more often!
Coffee is delicious and served at the perfect temperature. Very cool decor and use of space. Haven't tried the food but it looked promising!
Soooo long since I've reviewed, here goes haha. Love this place, three visits with food all amazing.
Coffee is amazing I've even noticed they still pour the latte art on top of takeaway coffees even though it gets covered by a lid. True perfectionism.
Friendly staff, pretty tiles. Highly recommend!
This place really makes you feel happy. don't hesitate to come here, I'm not really a coffee person but the cold brew was delightful. Positive staff really accommodating. Amazing hot chocolate!! If your ever in Leederville on the Main Street, walk a little further past the Tafe and you've found yourself a gem.
Food I excellent.
Good serving sizes.
Coffee is a bit too bitter and strong.
But overall good.
The granola is very fresh yummy with seasonal fruit :)
Nice little coffee shop with a retro feel. The staff were very obliging and accommodated our group that kept growing and we were there for ages and weren't moved on. The coffee and cakes were delicious and the herbal tea came served in a cute cup and smelled delicious.
I came here the other week, didn't realise how tiny it was but we got a table after 5 minutes!
It is very dainty and cute! I wasn't sure about pumpkin for breakfast but I gave it a go.
It was very yummy! The coffee was delicious and I loved my little swan flat white! Perfect temperature!
I will definitely visit again
Gorgeous little place, beautiful teas (haven't tried the coffee) and quite yummy - and healthy - variety of food to choose from - I've been twice and will go again.
Back at this lovely little cafe in leederville. Had a yummy green nourish bowl followed by a slice of giant gluten free chocolate cake. Delicious healthy food options, raw/gluten free dessert options and cute decor to boot ☺️
Dropped by pixel yesterday after hearing so much about the coffee and food. We ordered muffins, eggs and a salad bowl. We enjoyed the food. They were light and healthy. The coffee was good. The only downside is the place is small and not baby friendly (no high chairs).
Very nice, fresh, healthy food and good portion sizes. The cafe itself is very tiny though so can be hard to find a spot and may be a little bit of a wait.
Spotted this little cafe and thought of a drop by today to check it out. Great coffee for all you coffee punters out there, however the service and food was slightly disappointing. I did visit on a public holiday however waiting 45 minutes for a salad was not justifiable. I was in hangry mode which didn't help the cause but after waiting 45minutes to receive a below average dish that advertises as mushroom and tofu with 1 piece of tofu was annoying. My housemate should play the lotto this week as she had 5 pieces in hers. I will be visiting again as the coffee was amazing and give the food another go.
Yum Yum! Best chai tea lattes right here^^. Food is awesome too and lovely service. Good vibes and cool music. Cakes look amazing will have to come back for some some time soon. I got the smashed avo and boy was it good. Need to come back here ASAP! Also I am just in love with the plates you guys have. Super cute and photo-worthy.
We love to visit Pixel on our day off and find them to be consistently amazing with food, coffee and service. So far it's been 11 Monday's in a row and counting 😄
Love the easygoing and cheerful vibe, the gorgeous people make gorgeously presented food. The greenery inside is a bonus. I feel healthier just stepping into Pixel :)
Great little place for breakfast or brunch. Not my normal type of food. Very healthy and green. We had the pixel plate, avocado smash and the nourish bowl.
VERY IMPRESSED! Coffee mmmm coffee, we try a new brunch place every weekend and it has been a while since we last found something this good. Everything's fresh and yummy. Love the presentation, easy on the eyes. Service was good too! The gals are absolutely lovely. Like like like!
Just saw on Instagram that the barista Andy Tseng was the winner of WA/SA latte art in 2016. Explains the superb coffee!
The great thing about Pixel Coffee Brewers in Leederville is that the food and coffee taste as good, if not better than it looks.
I have been here a couple of times now and it up there as one of our favourite breakfast places in Perth. In fact, we both agree that Pixel produces the BEST smashed avo dish in town. As pretty as the bircher muesli is, I had a bit of food envy the last time we went and had to beg for a bite of Sidekick’s smashed avo.
Yes it is small and seating is limited, but we quite happily sit at the little bar and watch the barista make that magical morning juice we call coffee. Again, even the artwork in the coffee means there are no sips before a snap.
With the amount of Pixel porn on the gram I think they can claim the title of the best tasting and prettiest looking breakfasts in Perth.
Had a great breakfast of chia fritters with beetroot hummus and poached eggs. It was a good serving and very tasty! Their coffee is spot on too. Only thing - the place is tiny so breakfast spots are limited.
Prettiest coffee I've ever had. This is one where you can judge a book by its cover - pretty and with substance. The coffee was on point and you can even choose your coffee bean.
The cake cabinet was pretty too win a variety of naughty, nice and healthy choices. We opted for a light and zesty orange cake and a dense date cake with a tangy lemon curd. No crumbs were left to be the scene.
The place itself is pretty too. Honestly not an ugly element there, except my sleep deprived head. It is as small as people say, which means sitting outside on the footpath with the pram (it was a stunning day), or heading somewhere else. One of the cafe workers dog is based outside who has a beautiful temperament and was a topic of conversation as passerbys thought she was mine.
The staff are friendly and if pretty could describe someone's nature I'd use that too.
In summary - this place is pretty and lives up to its looks.
Coffee is great, well balanced, sweet tasting and not overpowering. It's the kind of coffee I love for a leisurely sunday. The pastries and cakes however was a tad too sweet. The cafe itself is a little too small, and hence it may be a challenge to get a seat. But once you are seated, it's such a nice place to just laze your sunday away with friends.
Small place with a lot of clutter as you come in. Cabinet food and small kitchen food as well. Choice of coffee bean which is great, if you know what you like. Not a lot of room to sit in but is away from the strip so may be easier to get a seat. Overall not a bad place to check out and the coffee does alright too.
Staff were so friendly! Husband and I ordered the potato smash with peas, feta, eggs, prosciutto and greens to share and asked for a piece of toast on the side which they were more than happy to accommodate. Eggs were perfectly poached and the combination of flavours was so well balanced. Best short mac I've ever had! Thanks so much Pixel! We'll be back lots!
The coffee here made by the barista Andy is excellent and always consistent. The cafe itself is well designed for such a small space though a little awkward sometimes to get a seat. The food is always very presented but can be a bit hit and miss. The avocado smash is a bit plain but the pancakes that are pictured were delicious and had a good balance of different textures. At certain times it can be difficult to get a table, but the wait is normally no more than 10 - 15 mins.
Loved popping in to this tiny cafe to avoid the summer heat! The limited seats and tables mean it's a cafe for solo or couple dates. A group bigger will find it tough finding space (and a table).
I loved the interior of the cafe, it's very clean and white giving a modern feel and despite the small space the decor is really impressive.
We ordered a chocolate brownie with peanut butter cream to share. I ordered the sweet French toast, an iced coffee and a nitro iced tea. The French toast certainly lived up to its name! The almost too intense sugar laden maple cured bacon went really well with the sour dough and fresh banana. The large serving certainly filled me up! The chocolate brownie was great and was dense yet light making a good appetiser!
The iced coffee and nitro tea were superb and perfect for the intense heat!
The food was presented superbly and as you'd expect for French toast was very photogenic which is why I chose it!
The service was lovely. Was great being welcomed by happy and very friendly staff .
Amazing food and service, barista Andy went above and beyond his customer service and gave the best hospitality That I've ever received from a Perth cafe. The coffee here is amazing! 10/10! Definitely coming back and recommending you guys :) thank you!
Lovely little spot! I met a friend for a mid-week coffee and really enjoyed it. The cafe is bright and decor is sweet. I enjoyed an almond milk coffee and it was nice and strong. The cake cabinet is incredibly tempting and I chose the gluten free orange and almond cake with meringue cream. So delicious and beautifully presented, wonderful!! Terrific to have so many GOOD gluten free options - a rare treat!
The only downside was one of the staff members looked positively miserable. Our group included children and yes, the cafe isn't as kid-friendly as other spots but she looked seriously annoyed by them. I get that not everyone loves kids so wouldn't be put off coming back here just for that but a smile wouldn't go astray!
Still really like this place. Fresh, clean decor, good healthy options and reasonably good service. Might help if staff seat customers...on my third visit we felt like sardines at the bench while a guy spread himself out with his newspaper and laptop on a 4-seat table. The seats out the front are nice looking but not practical to sit and eat with a knife and fork.
Food has been consistently delicious on far.
Pixel coffee is across the road from the re store, which is a small cute cafe that doesn't seat too many people and gets awfully busy for brunch. My boyfriend and I started with the iced chocolate couverture and the iced mocha couverture, the iced chocolate was delicious but I wasn't a huge fan of the mocha. My partner had the French toast with maple bacon, banana, raspberry marscapone and pomegranate, the dish was full of delicious flavours that went wonderfully together. I had the chia pudding, what a beautiful fresh dish, again all the right flavours and such pretty pretty food! Would definitely add this to my top breakfast spots! #goodfoodofperth
Fresh and fun. Avocado and eggs on toast with generous serve of yummy herbs. Cold pressed coffee also amazing. Cakes at counter looked delicious. Service was excellent.
Cute as a button decor, a menu full of healthy treats and smiley staff. The food is amazing. Tried the Pixel Plate - a generous serving of well poached eggs, prosciutto, a potato cake, pea salad and lemon oil. Oh my. No words. Pure pleasure on a plate! The potato cake was full of flavour, the lemon added a bit of zesty and everything worked so well with the strong meat and gooey eggs. Coffee was ace! Can't wait to go back.
Bright little cafe just outside the main hub of leederville which serves brunch til 2pm. I opted for the sourdough french toast with bacon, banana, raspberry mascarpone for $21.90 which was the most expensive menu item. When my dish came out I thought it looked like a stunner. The sourdough was drenched in maple syrup and balanced each other out but needed more egg-wash soak time as it was still a lil dry/dense in the middle and missing that custardy centre I love.
I love bacon in all shapes and sizes but I would've preferred crispy bacon than floppy streaky bacon in this instance cuz it was a tad too much with the mascarpone.
There were alot of healthy choices as well like "nourish bowls," granola and acai berry bowls but that's not really my thing.
Second time I've been here. Presentation and flavours are breathtaking. Ordered the smashed avocado with feta, which was yummy. Shared a cake (not sure of the name) and it was really good too. Definitely has the flora and fauna vibe with floral presentation of food. Coffee is really good except they use a weird cup for their long mac - not a fan. It's quite small inside and have had to wait to get/share a table each time.
Fantastic baked goods, coffee and tea. The tea was perfectly brewed! The banana bread was amazing. Between us we had poached eggs, avo smash and pancakes. the pancakes were fine but the bananas used were so hard that it was difficult to cut them with a knife. The avo smash and eggs were ok but nothing special. It would be great to see more focus on the quality of the main dishes, as they seem like a bit of an afterthought.
How amazing is this place! It is so good to have a healthy and equally pretty menu - I found it so hard to choose what to eat and can't wait to go back :)
The banana bread stakes have been running for quite a while and I have found a winner. Top presentation. Top taste. Toasted and warmed with the right amount of banana and a sprinkle of icing sugar to boot. Served with serious lemon curd this is outstanding. We had the Honduras single origin for our coffees. It came with a warning for the espresso that Mr Sprout might not be able to handle it. He survived and gave it the thumbs up. My flat white was perfect and I really feel that I have had a great coffee experience. The barista explained the new technique "filter bar" and maybe we will try that next time.
Hey, didn't realised Pixel Coffee is located at where Smuggled Seeds used to be! They did a really good job in converting the place. It's now become a nice & bright cafe with cute decor. I love pastel green colour kitchenwares they are using. Their pretty homemade cakes & muffins on cabinet make the cafe look even merrier. It was a cold and windy Saturday morning. Luckily we managed to get a table inside. Service could have been a bit better. The lady who served me at the counter wasn't that friendly for some reason. Hubby ordered Sweet French Toast and I had Pumpkin Plate. We shared a mug of Mocha and a spice cake (not sure exactly what it was but you can definitely taste the spices). It was one of the best French Toast we've ever had. The chocolate mascarpone brought the dish to next level, love it. My Pumpkin Plate wasn't bad. Just didn't like the presentation and unusual salad they put on top, tasted weird. But the herbed cream cheese that comes with it was delightful. We loved our Mocha, it's perfect. The cake was unique, we didn't mind it but quite pricey. I would go back for their French Toast and coffee for sure. Hopefully they will improve their service too. A smile wont hurt.
waiting for my coffee whilst the coffee guy is having a great time giving out some samples to people who already have their coffees is my favourite thing to do
Great environment, food was nice, delicious. Have tried avocado smash and it was delicious. And tried the huge chocolate cake too, the sweetness was just perfect, other desserts look delicious too, will definitely come back.

Got the pumpkin plate after seeing other reviews raving how good it was. I was actually disappointed as I was expecting more. Don't get me wrong, it was nice but nothing amazing. I felt like it was something I could make myself at home. The coffee was nice but again nothing like the rave reviews I have read. The baked goods looked delish. I might go for this next time I am there..
I've been to Pixel a couple of times for their coffee and they've always been consistently good! This time round I popped in for lunch and tried the Omega (Smoked Salmon) Nourish bowl. What a delight! I was so satiated from it and felt good about making a healthy choice for lunch! The raw bud pu'er tea served iced was a refreshing accompaniment too. I hear the french toast from my friend was pretty darn good as well!
The coffee here is gooooood! Ordered the cheesecake without realising it was raw, which I'm not a big fan of, as there was no signage. Whoops. But probably should have realised from the look of it! Otherwise all in all this is a nice little spot, especially if you like organic/raw offerings they have quite a few.
This day I decided I wanted something hearty and sweet, and thus ordered the Pumpkin Plate. The sweetness and nutty crunch of the seeds around the plate was definitely what I was after today, and I was not disappointed. Wendy, on the hand, decided to go in the other direction and get something refreshing and citrus-y with the Acai Bowl. The thing about acai bowls is that they can easily be ruined if they are too mushy and without texture. Fortunately, Pixel added sugar-coated almonds and crunchy apples to the mix to counteract the would-be liquid dish, and gave it a very balanced consistency.
Good coffee. Long macchiato was strong. Nice savoury muffin. Menu looked good. Friendly staff. Relaxed feel. Definitely will be coming back.
Good coffee, not always consistent though. Amazing food and the best desserts!!!!!! Especially the home made lemon curd!! Small space so it's quite hard to always get a seat.
Have only been seeing the cake photos in insta and eventually tried one of their layered cake last Saturday and wanted to go there and grab one piece for myself but I was too early for today's cake - lemon and blueberry. However I got a chance to tried their special weekend dish! Haven't named it yet but the waffle was really yummy with the matcha flavored and nuts toppings! Want to taste it? You know where to go!! Ordered their Pixel Om - omelette with salmon and zucchini! Tasty and healthy brunch!! Definitely coming back for the cake!!
There's something magical about going out early in the morning when the city is not yet awake and everything is so peacefully quiet that even a casual breakfast becomes an exciting adventure, a reward for dragging yourself out of bed. Today, this reward came in the form of Pixel Coffee Brewers. Arriving in Leederville just a few minutes past 7, the usual hustle and bustle of the brunch food strip was absent and everything was dark apart from an inviting glow coming out from a tiny little store with mismatching blankets and little succulents out front. Walking into Pixel, you instantly feel a little at home with it's grand total of four tables and a counter, fresh flowers on every table and quirky mermaid prints on the walls. Even though the area was so small, it's not claustrophobic as the white walls and long wooden tabletops do well to open up the space. I was surprised to see people already ordering coffee and food from the cabinet but with just the right amount of quiet chatter, no noisy coffee machines and the smell of food cooking; I can see why this cosy café makes the ideal early morning hang out.
Everyday Weekends (Yoshika)

We decided to go to Pixel Coffee mainly due to the frequent photos that kept popping up on my Instagram dashboard (@everyday_weekends), it looked so promising and so pretty. The day we went, although I can't really recall was super busy and bustling with commotion. The waiting time, which was around ten to twenty minutes was due to the fact that Pixel Coffee is tiny. To compensate for room, many people had to share tables, for example there were two parties of two that sat on a four person table. There's also a bar table and a long high table at the back that seated around twelve people. Pixel has a clean and simple aesthetic that produces a somewhat calming mood amidst the busyness of the popular cafe. We were seated at the back on the sharing table. While the three of us didn't mind sharing a table, it would have been more pleasant to have our own table as the party sitting next to us were obnoxiously loud and frantic.
Have been keen to try this place for awhile now. The food tasted lovely and was beautifully presented. In all honestly although the staff were friendly there was a bit of a wait on the food - and our meals didn't come out at the same time. Seeing as there was only two of us it does make it a bit awkward. Overall however the porridge was delicious (could have done with more maple syrup mind you 🙊) and the coffee was good.
Another place with an amazing Instagram account! Beautiful creative cakes on offer. I definitely plan to come back and have something other than cake. Lovely service. And doggy friendly!
Pixel Coffee Brewers has only been open for a few months, but has done a great job of placing itself near the top of many Perth “must visit” lists, including mine. If you’ve been anywhere near social media in the last few months you’ve probably seen a photo of at least one of their amazing cakes.
Best chocolate cake in Perth! Cake itself tastes like dark chocolate which was what I'm looking for, the sweetness of the cream balances the bitter taste of the cake and it was amazing. The coffee is great as well as the girls over there! Will be back to this place again soon
A gorgeous pastel interior, you can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought into the design of the cafe. Food is colourful and good. It's a very small space though, so not that great for large groups.
Adding some life to the far end of Oxford street is this little box of coffee and breakfast goodness. Pixel Coffee Brewers is a new addition to an otherwise sleepy side of Leederville. The space is beautiful, minimalist but homely with white walls and tiles that compliment the cups. Small pops of colour can be found in miscellaneous vases of flowers and the food presented in the cabinet at the counter.
Great little place! Greeted by friendly baristas upon arrival. Food's simple yet delicious, portion sizes are generous however on the pricier range. We received a free baby hot chocolate out of kindness which topped off the experience!

Great little cafe up the road on Oxford street, away from Leederville centre. This little tiny place has a lot to it, great food and awesome space, also a little small, Pixel Coffee Brewers serves amazing funky breakfast dishes, very much within the food trend, tasty, guilt free with real product all made from scratch. Coffee hits the spot, service is great and the display fridge as more treat that you could eat!
Only down, was the lack of acknowledgement from the staff upon our arrival, we eventually took a seat as no one helped us, service at the counter, staff were quick to get us water and make us feel comfortable once seated!
Get in early they do get busy.
When we heard that Julz and Kaya had opened a cafe together we were excited. Both of these women have a very strong coffee resume and are lovely people as well. On arriving we noticed a beautiful layout which was both minimalistic and homely at the same time. We were only there for a coffee and although it wasn't the greatest coffee we have had it wasn't the worst either. For our tastes it was a little bit fruity and considering we ordered lattes we were a bit dissapointed with the lack of creamy foam. It wasn't either of the aforementioned ladies making it unfortunately. Overall we liked the place and will return. Nice Synesso too guys.
After a first visit of just lunch, we went back for breakfast on the weekend. The food is simple but tasty, and the service is always with a smile. Aesthetically I love the look of the venue, and their mouthwatering desserts. A cute addition to Leederville.
