Tried the IQ burrito bowl with chicken. Bowl was a bit stingy on the chicken, but overall I enjoyed my meal and I liked that they have black rice which is something a bit different to just ordinary white rice. I don't like though that they charge extra for cheese and sour cream, a bit of cheese sprinkled on top should come standard!
This Zambrero actually has the most generous serving sizes of salad in the burritos that I've come across. I may have just gotten lucky, but it's worth noting. I did have to quickly jump to say "no beans" when normally I'm asked or have enough time before they scoop them.
This is my favourite burrito place and favourite Zambrero store! The staff are all incredibly hospitable and cool plus really quick - I'm hardly ever in there more than 5mins, 10min with a queue.
Being vegetarian, I love the bean paste stuff they have and they never cheap out on anything you'd like added. Guacamole is free on the vege burritos/chikitos too. I can never usually finish a whole burrito in one sitting. If you work/study/live in Leederville, definitely check this place out and be sure to get a stamp card! You'll need it! (Every 10th burrito free).
My and the gang come here all the time on our lunch break and being radio students and regulars, we're known as the Radio Guys (and girl, lol).
Never had a burrito before? Come here, get one! You haven't yet lived if you haven't. Lastly, they're serving style is like Subway- just go in and pick what you want on it.
For a tex-mex fast food place in Australia not to bad. I think some people expect to much as the real deal is not to be found in WA or Australia for that matter.
First visit and I'll be back. Burrito was fresh tasty and filling. Service with a smile which is always a plus in my book. A good alternative on the Leederville strip.
You haven't lived if you've never had a burrito. Seriously, they are healthy, simple, fast, a decent price and absolutely delicious! I tried Zambrero in Leederville last year, and now this year my class and I (at Leederville Central) are known as regulars.
Like Subway, you pick what you want and want you don't, they make it in front of you, but unlike Subway, you're never in there more than 10 minutes and the staff are always cheerful, positive and cool.
Being vegetarian, it's great that they have the vegetarian option, which tastes amazing for something vegetarian - so good that when I first had it I was sure there was meat in it (there's most definitely isn't). Even to my meat-eating friends, they don't mind eating what I can't of my burrito (be prepared, they do fill you up, easily).
If you haven't gone, you should. Even if you go once, that's all you need - you either love it or you don't.
Best cheap eat in Leederville. When I didn't quite feel like a burger (of which there are many to choose from within a block) a burrito really hit the spot. The burritos are great value, super tasty and wrapped so well that my hands were not messy at all, unlike a kebab or burger usually is.
I've been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Delicous. Love, love, love the burritos here. Always super fresh and tasty - enough said!
Nice. Tasty and fresh. will come back again
Love the food but the servings seem to be getting smaller and smaller each time I go! Stop being so stingy with the salads and salsa.
Mmmmm mexican. Yum yum yum! Been here several times after being recommended eating here by a friend and it was delicious. Quick and easy service, food was full of flavour and tasted great. The staff were very friendly and funny which also make me want to come back more often. Great for a quick lunch or dinner on the run. Reasonably priced also :)
Fresh, fast and delicious. What more could one want? Oh, it's well priced too!
Zambreros might be the tastiest of all the chain Mexican food around in Australia. My tacos weren't filled with watery fillings like at Mad Mex & sauces were quite tasty. Decor's a bit bland (really like the fit-out at Guzman y Gomez) but the food comes first!
Great value, great flavour, great quick service and generous serving size. Have never gotten anything wrong.
Pretty good! Best I've had. Haven’t had many soft taco burritos tack-away like this, but when I did, I usually received a soggy burrito where I felt ill after eating it.
This was quite fresh however, and the ingredients where tasty.
$16 for a small drink and a Burrito though, which for a quick lunch is pretty pricey.
Maybe some lunch deals would be nice?
Super-fast service, and funky atmosphere, would come back.
Came across this place after seeing the line stretching outside so figured it must be worth the wait. ordered a steak burrito and was impressed by the quality and freshness of their food. Will definitely go back!
:) quick and cheap. Quick easy, pretty tasty food and friendly staff! :) nice!
Yummo. My partner and I always enjoy a mexican salad or taco from here. The lettuce can look a little limp sometimes but overall the food is tasty. Quick, easy and tasty food.
Great casual dining! Like Mexican subway. But better. And better than a kebab. Fresh, tasty, awesome.
I didn't like waiting in line. And the funky mix of reggae & Spanish music is cool. Will definitely come here again.
Something different in Leederville. Tuesday June 12 Dinner
Love the soft and hard taco options
Love the burritos
Love the freshness of ingredients
Love the helpful and cheerful staff in explaining things as I am a novice to mex grill
Loathe the usual Leederville parking thing
So so good!. This was the best taco I have ever had! So excited to come back again and again!
Fave mex take-out. I've been to Zambrero 3 times now and loved it each time. I really enjoy mexican food but often find it too oily or full of cheese. I've had the burrito each time (chicken the first, lamb the second and third times) and enjoyed it very much. The size of the burrito does seem to vary a little depending on who's serving, but at 9.90 I'll be back again.
It's an added bonus that they have the terrific plate-for-plate concept going too!!
I love this place! The food is awesome and the service is excellent. Best lunch in Leederville.
The Burrito is quite a filling meal and good value if you're looking for something fast and a bit bigger than a kebab in a environment that is a lot funkier than Subway.
Still the same great food but nice to see happy employees with their hair up and out of my food. Thanks Mr Zambrero Manager, it's appreciated.
The food at Zambrero may be 'Mexican' but it's tasty, fresh, cheap and fast and a welcome addition to the Leederville area (especially if you're sick of burgers).
Fresh and authentic (finally!) you get really good sized portions for the price.
What a great idea! Simple (certainly easier to follow than Subway), tasty & reasonably priced. So far we've also had great service!!
Cheap and Tasty. A 2 minute stroll away from my house and i find Zambrero... Cheap, fresh, semi-healthy, fills you up and delicious! Love the chili sauces and herb based veggies.
Keep up the great work! Leederville needed a cheap Mexican place!
Quick and yum lamb. Food was ready very quickly. lamb was super tender and tasty, salsas nice and fresh. Very happy
Healthy and cheap. I don't know why, but this place reminds me of a mexican subway, with all the added questions of what extras and sauces we wanted. I tried the vegetarian Dos Capos and enjoyed the freshness of the food and flavours. Food was healthy, tasty and i hear they donate a plate of food to the third world every time a burrito is sold. Food is also cheap and no greasy aftertaste. Service was friendly from the female staff member who served us. Decor could definitely do with some improvement though as not as funky and interesting as some of the other little cafes in the Leederville area. overall a no fuss, relaxed cheap fresh meal in Perth
Good, but where is little piggy?. Like the Dos Capos- hard shell taco wrapped in a soft taco - handy for managing mess and nice contrast of textures. Tasty little numbers. Vegetarian is the go.
But a Mexican place without carnitas on the menu? Bemused.
Tasty and great value. Have tried the lamb and chicken burritos, really delicious, soo filling, and only $9.90. I will keep going back!
Best Mex!. This place was great, food was so fresh and tasted so much healthier than normal mexican food. I'll definitely be back!
Yummy. Not flash but good flavoursome food and good value. Fresh ingredients, generous servings. Healthyish fast food.
Fresh, healthy mexican. Randomly discovered this place when I was on the hunt for healthy takeaway for dinner.
Delicious salsas, good choice of sauces and all the food was fresh. Service was friendly and price reasonable.
Will definitely be returning again.
Deliciously good value. Good value, delicious, quick, and good quality. will be back!
Tasty Mexican. Australia's answer to the US chain Chipotle. Give it a go!
Give it a shot. Had a burrito with lamb from here today. It was tasty and big and was worth the 10 bucks. Will be back!
We recently had a craving for Mexican cuisine, did some googling and found Zambrero . To be honest, we decided to try Zambrero because it seemed inexpensive compared to the other Mexican places appearing in Perth, was not in the city (roadworks, do i need to explain further?) and was open for lunch. So we made a trip down to an outlet in Leederville, on our last Tuesday lunch routine. We found the place with no hassle, a small, cosy store, laid out with benches and high stools, with some crates for al fresco dining. The way Zambrero works is very much free and easy food, a little bit like the Subway system where you make a choice off the main menu and customise it yourself with the fresh stuff. After some deliberation, we ordered some fo
Fresh mex grill eateries are popping up all over Perth. They're a new fad that seems to be escalating along with burgers, macarons and breakfast venues. There's Mad Mex (which I have to say I absolutely hated - I actually left my food and didn't bother continuing to eat), Salsas and Zambrero. The set up is simple - choose your food type from tacos, burritos, nachos and a couple variations on the aforementioned. From there, you choose your meat (steak, lamb, chicken or the vegetarian option of pinto beans). Each dish comes with lettuce and your choice of as many of the three salsas on offer - corn, tomato or onion & coriander. The final stage is adding your choice of sauce from chipotle, garlic, red chilli or verde (jalapeno). It's not fancy or even anything complicated. But if it's done right, this kind of food can be quite satisfying. I've been to Zambrero a couple times, but this is Jeremy's first trip here. I know he'll like it because we're both starving and in the mood for somethi
Amazing food and exceptional service esp from NATHAN. Nathan was nice and warm… best customer service…. I would have given 5+ stars if possible just because of Nathan’s customer service.
Amazing service from Nehasha! Super friendly, generous portions, and all while by herself. 10/10
