Great for a big group! The set menu is delicious and the portions are generous. The waiters were really nice and the atmosphere is fun, so we came away very satisfied.
Recommended delish, sophisticated, fine scrumptious dishes. New pasta with prawns is my favourite atm. Thank you, Micaellaš
My favourite dish was the asparagus which came with a delicious puree and some sort of soft cheese - so flavoursome! The Caprese salad was fresh and lovely as well. We also ordered the ravioli which was tasty but I think the other pastas looked better. I was with a vegetarian so that we the only pasta option we could share! Would return
Most people are of the opinion once you have been to Italy you have had the best Italian though what happens when you bring the Italian to Australia? End result; some really great food. The food as always was the ultimate comfort food and perfect on flavour. I just thoroughly enjoyed dish after dish and cannot wait to return.
I dined here on a Thursday night as part of an organised event (discounted meal). We were fortunate to try a spread of the menu and honestly I couldn't fault any of the dishes we were served. We had the following dishes:
1. Foccacia - served warm with herbs and lightly salted. Works well to mop up the extra goat's curd from dish 2.Ā
2. Beetroot e vodka - just yum! Thinly sliced ocean trout full of flavour with plenty of roe and goat's curd.Ā
3. Wood-fired chicken wings - good flavour and I liked the punch of the sauce and pickles
4. Squid ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab - one of my favourites. Perfectly cooked handmade pasta with plenty of crab.Ā
5. Spinach and ricotta ravioli - big handmade parcels filled with delicious and flavourful spinach and ricotta in a burnt butter sauce.Ā
6. Duck ragu with gnocchi - my top dish. Pillowy handmade gnocchi, plenty of flavourful rago and freshly grated parmesan
7. Porchetta - something a bit different for me but still enjoyed it. Served with roasted peaches, there was a good balance of salty and sweet.Ā
8. Passionfruit panna cotta - the perfect panna cotta wobble. Creamy texture and plenty of passionfruit flavour. Definitely more for those with a sweet tooth.Ā
We had the house wine with the meal (I had white) and I thought it was lovely.Ā
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience at Capriccio. I will definitely be back for the $20 pasta and wine special on Tuesdays.
Has become my favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney! The pastas we ordered still make me drool thinking about it. Great flavour and texture!
I was invited to celebrate a friend's birthday at Capriccio Osteria and on the day, I ended up carpooling with friends to get here. This was probably the first time I've stepped foot in Leichhardt so was. interesting to discover a long food strip filled with cafes and. restaurants (mental note to visit again during the daytime). As there is limited street parking, it took a while before we found a spot a few blocks away and walked back to the restaurant.
Capriccio Osteria is just one of many popular restaurants on the main food strip that serves up some interesting Italian fusion cuisine.

Fantastic restaurant in Leichhardt
Beautiful food and amazing service
I will keep going back over and over
The squid ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab is top pasta in Sydney is
Food was delicious, great service - got the $20 pasta and glass of wine Tuesday deal which was amazing value. The duck ravioli special was a stand out dish. Will definitely be back!
Went to Capriccio Osteria for a birthday dinner last night. Service was perfect - our waiter was really helpful and friendly, and they were very attentive with checking up on us throughout the night. We ordered the aracini as an entree, but it was perhaps a bit over-fried as it was too crispy and a tad dry. Despite the start, we were blown away by the mains - we ordered the squid ink spaghetti with blue swimmer crab (tip: ask for extra chilli!) and the duck & parsnip ravioli (from the truffle menu). The flavours were beautifully balanced and we both agreed this was some of the best pasta we've had! We also thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired parsnips as a side, and custard apple panna cotta as a dessert. Highly recommend this place!
Had a really wonderful time here last night. This place is my most favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney. Every single dish we ordered was amazing and the service was excellent too. Michael was hospitable and have a good knowledge about Italian wines. Can't wait to visit Sydney and dine here again! ā”ā”ā”
Delicious food with excellent service. I fell in love with the outdoor street dining setting - there were lots of tables outside, music, and good vibes. The pasta was nice and firm and the saffron and mozzarella arancini was a highlight.
Delicious Italian food with a great restaurant ambience! Oysters with the vodka granita & the squid ink pasta were the highlights of the menu. Would definitely recommend bringing family and friends here.
OMG! One of the best Italian food.
Fabulous woodfired pizza, pastas and my most favourite oysters, plus wine!
Dined here with my best friend last year before lockdown and had the most amazing experience.
The food was so delicious that we are keep going back with such a little excuses !!

Incredibly delicious dishes. The woodfire pizza was perfectly cooked with a delicious homemade sauce and fresh toppings. The pumpkin ravioli with hazelnut had excellent complimenting flavours and textures. Not forgetting the focaccia bread and oil which we devoured in a few seconds!
Also, I am not much of an alcoholic drinker but their 'Italian Mojito' was so refreshing with their fresh herbs and lime that I ordered two.
Lastly, the ambience was nice with the cute feature of their plates having their restaurant logo.
Will definitely be back!
Great Woodfired pizza and handmade pasta!!! We had the Salciccia pizza and it was a real standout, I cannot recommend it enough! The pasta was handmade and fresh, you can taste the difference. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come again.
Great service, freshly made pasta, I had the fazzaletti with banana prawns, shellfish butter and shallots. While my partner had the ravioli with butternut pumpkin, burnt butter and sage. Both are tasty examples of Italian food cooked with care in a busy kitchen. We started with roasted cauliflower florets on a bed of whipped feta, pine nuts and currants. A tasty way to settle in to a refreshing dinner. Teamed with a bottle of Vermentino from Sardagna, it was well worth the trip. Next time Iāll try one of the wood fired pizzas. A true Norton street restaurant.
Consistently excellent food, service and overall experience. Great atmosphere whether for groups or date night. Best Italian restaurant in the inner west.
