Cafe that was open in the late afternoon on Norton Street. We grabbed a couple of takeaway coffees. They were made using Campos beans and had a nice taste to them. Service was nice.

Leichhardt is such a buzzing metropolis of great shopping and great food. This casual café offers mostly outdoor seating so you can watch the world go by while sipping a delicious Campos coffee. Being centrally located opposite Norton Plaza is a bonus as parking was readily available underneath. The menu looks fresh and inviting (we love an all-day breakfast!) and the place was busy but friendly.
Leichhardt Espresso is a cafe in Leichhardt that has mainly outdoor seating, on the shopping strip. We came for lunch one day, keen to dig into their extensive menu. For our drinks we ordered the Oreo thickshake to start, this was nice and thick and definitely a decadent choice. For a healthier alternative we also tried the Carrot, orange and apple juice, you can mix many ingredients and make your own juice. This was nice and healthy and refreshing.
If you’re in Leichardt, have the corn fritters at Leichardt Espresso. Came here after a Saturday gym sesh, ordered 2 mains and an açai bowl to share, a blueberry smoothie and a mixed berry smoothie. I need to get my 5 plus a day in! We ordered the chive and crispy prosciutto scrambled eggs with sourdough and the corn fritters topped with avo, tomato and sour cream. I’m not sure whether it was because we just hit the gym, but this absolutely hit the right spot. The prosciutto went well with the eggs. The corn fritters were delicious, the batter was thick and a touch sweet, and Leichardt Espresso did not skimp on the corn! Bless their souls. They were also generous with the avo and sour cream. I would return for the corn fritters!! The açai bowl was also made well, I can imagine having a bowl like this in the summer. Overall very happy tummies.
Spectacular ; the açai bowl was amazing ; it wasn’t just An amazing looking dish.
The service was friendly also.
The food came out quickly even though it was busy!
The light but beautiful aroma of coffee was a nice touch.
Friendly staff, and good vibe. I ordered the smashed avocado on toast, along with a couple of sides. I had also ordered an Acai smoothie, and they were quite accommodating to the request that I had made to change a bit of my order. A good place to sit out to eat :)
Visit by invite.
This place is perfect for a lunch date, catch up with friends, and very family friendly.
Their pastries are great and coffee is good.
Very polite and friendly staff, flexible in accommodating my food allergies and was able to change my order with no fuss. Very well priced with generous serving sizes. And a lovely atmosphere on Norton st! Highly recommend giving Leichhardt espresso a visit! Wel sure be back....
Came as a guest! Came for the big breakfast and it really lives up to its name. I just couldn't finish it. My missus had this omelette with chicken and spinach and feta, the salad that came with it was huge but what impressed me most of the tomato chutney that accompanied it,really works well together
Alfresco dining with enough room to fit a pram.
I saw plenty of people have takeaway coffees but didn't try one myself
Leichhardt Espresso is located in the heart of Norton Street, and parking was a breeze when we brunched there on Sunday morning. The staff were extremely friendly, and the service was prompt. You need to order/pay at the counter, which I’m not a huge fan of but the line wasn’t too big when we arrived. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, Bacon + Egg Roll, Smashed Avocado Bruschetta (with a side of poached eggs) and orange juice. The Eggs Benedict and Bacon + Egg Roll were cooked to perfection. The side of poached eggs with the Smashed Avocado Bruschetta were *slightly* overdone, but the Smashed Avocado Bruschetta saved the dish – overall it was delicious. Oh, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the best I’ve had in a while! We’ll be back.
We haven't been to Leichhardt before...and wow we had no idea that it was a busy and bustling location for locals. We visited Leichhardt Espresso for lunch in the heart of the district, facing the main street. While it was a little noisy, it gave us a great view of how the locals live - dogs, families and bikes were in ample supply.
This cafe is alfresco (but with roof covering) and certainly very busy on a weekend. Brother/Sister to Rozelle Espresso, they offer the same menu of their marvellous Rueben Sandwich, French toast, burgers and more. On this particular occasion we tried the pancakes - 3 stacked and topped with maple syrup and fruit, it was an extremely generous serve! We also got the eggs benedict, atop a slice or sourdough and presented with edible flowers. You can have this with ham, bacon or salmon. At this venue, order from the counter and you can also select some
cakes from the counter.
Coffee was good, we had a long black and a chai. Lovely place to have your brunch and enjoy the sunshine.
GMV Eats - Leichhardt Espresso @ Leichhardt
Weekend is the best time to enjoy a long leisure brunch with friends. Leichhardt Espresso is located within Sydney's 'little Italian village' and you can certainly expect good coffee and delicious food! Their cafe meals are excellent (the smashed avo bruschetta, prosciutto scrambled eggs are yum!); good luck coffee (strong enough for the Italian); and very reasonably priced.

The coffee is delicious, the meal servings are generous and the menu is huge. Leichardt espresso is the sister Cafe of rozelle espresso and the popular tiny giant in Petersham.
As well as coffee there is a selection of fresh juices and smoothies. For brunch I can recommend the smashed avo bruschetta - two large pieces of soy linseed bread topped with cherry tomatoes, danish feta & balsamic glaze. I also added smoked salmon which made this a filling and satisfying start to the day. Equally as filling was the brekkie burrito, your choice of chorizo or bacon with hash brown, cheese, smashed avo & tomato relish.
If you are in the inner west pay these guys a visit!
Situated in a calm outside surrounding with scrumptious food and amazing coffee. The smashed avo was a winner, it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The menu offered a wonderful selection and the service was friendly and very helpful. A big thumbs UP 👍.
AMAZING place! You have to try it out!
The ambience of the cafe is great- you'll see lots of locals stopping by for a bite and some coffee.
✌🏻Pancakes
The pancakes were stuffed with bananas (cool right?!) and paired with lots of fresh fruit. It tasted pretty damn good.
✌🏻Meatball burger
A really unique combination of home-style meatballs and cheese. I really enjoyed it because it tasted really good and didn't make me feel heavy or greasy.
✌🏻Big breakfast
You can never go wrong with a big breakfast! There was a good portion of everything on the plate, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Loved it!
✌🏻Nutella-oreo thickshake
This one had the perfect combination of taste, thickness and consistency. A must try if you come here!
Fast, friendly service. Fresh, yummy food and generous serves. Try the orange and poppyseed cupcakes - I’m addicted :p
I ordered some food this morning from Uber eats. My coffee arrived in perfect condition because it was really well packed. I want to thank for making the delivery driver work much easier, and also for this tasty food.
Not bad for the price, and decent variety. The staff are friendly, and they get the food out super quick. Coffee is ok, and the milkshakes are decent. Bit of a busy street, but doesn’t take away too much for breakfast with friends on a Saturday morning.

This is a cute cafe in the centre of Leichhardt. They only have outside seating, which is great when the weather is nice. Menu isn't anything special. They have cafe style stuff like all kinds of eggs, panini, burgers, pancakes etc. They have a range of good looking baked goods too, like cupcakes, muffins, Cronuts, cakes etc. This kind of stuff seems to be their speciality. A lot of the sandwiches are pre-made and living in the front glass cabinet. I had the feta, mushroom and spinach omlette. It was great. They have loose leaf tea too, from T2. You have to order at the counter, which I don't really like, but other than that it's a great spot for a bite.
Pleasant experience:)
Good menu
Cooked Big Breakfast was nice and generous albeit a bit on the expensive side. Ample parking opposite underneath Norton Plaza and level access

Great little cafe with under cover outdoor seating serving nice coffee. Staff were super friendly and the food coming out looked nice.
