Fast, friendly service. Fresh, yummy food and generous serves. Try the orange and poppyseed cupcakes - I’m addicted :p

I ordered some food this morning from Uber eats. My coffee arrived in perfect condition because it was really well packed. I want to thank for making the delivery driver work much easier, and also for this tasty food.

Not bad for the price, and decent variety. The staff are friendly, and they get the food out super quick. Coffee is ok, and the milkshakes are decent. Bit of a busy street, but doesn’t take away too much for breakfast with friends on a Saturday morning.

This cafe is alfresco (but with roof covering) and certainly very busy on a weekend. Brother/Sister to Rozelle Espresso, they offer the same menu of their marvellous Rueben Sandwich, French toast, burgers and more. On this particular occasion we tried the pancakes - 3 stacked and topped with maple syrup and fruit, it was an extremely generous serve! We also got the eggs benedict, atop a slice or sourdough and presented with edible flowers. You can have this with ham, bacon or salmon. At this venue, order from the counter and you can also select some cakes from the counter. Coffee was good, we had a long black and a chai. Lovely place to have your brunch and enjoy th sunshine.

This is a cute cafe in the centre of Leichhardt. They only have outside seating, which is great when the weather is nice. Menu isn't anything special. They have cafe style stuff like all kinds of eggs, panini, burgers, pancakes etc. They have a range of good looking baked goods too, like cupcakes, muffins, Cronuts, cakes etc. This kind of stuff seems to be their speciality. A lot of the sandwiches are pre-made and living in the front glass cabinet. I had the feta, mushroom and spinach omlette. It was great. They have loose leaf tea too, from T2. You have to order at the counter, which I don't really like, but other than that it's a great spot for a bite.

Pleasant experience:) Good menu Cooked Big Breakfast was nice and generous albeit a bit on the expensive side. Ample parking opposite underneath Norton Plaza and level access

Great little cafe with under cover outdoor seating serving nice coffee. Staff were super friendly and the food coming out looked nice.
Eatwithmyfoodsafari
Cafe that was open in the late afternoon on Norton Street. We grabbed a couple of takeaway coffees. They were made using Campos beans and had a nice taste to them. Service was nice.

Nothing special, despite the high price we were left disappointed with the food. we ordered the burgers and chips which were average at best and the Coffee was nothing special.
Tortuguita Comiendo
Small cafe best to the bookstore Berkelouw with lots of outdoor seating.

We came here for breakfast before going to the movie at the Palace Cinemas.

I got a mushroom sandwich. It had mushrooms, cheese, caramelised onions and spinach. My friend for the bacon and egg roll but asked for no onion.

Both were tasty and service was pretty quick.

This place serving beautifully brew Campos coffee.
It’s worth to pay just over $3, and the time waited for take away.
They do have single origin coffee also, brew for you with extra $.
Can’t miss this place because located right in the heart of norton street.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
Leichhardt is such a buzzing metropolis of great shopping and great food. This casual café offers mostly outdoor seating so you can watch the world go by while sipping a delicious Campos coffee. Being centrally located opposite Norton Plaza is a bonus as parking was readily available underneath. The menu looks fresh and inviting (we love an all-day breakfast!) and the place was busy but friendly.

Açai Bowl (berries) : 😊 Good
Prosciutto Scrambled Eggs : 😁 Great

Great Cafe with only outdoor seating available. Açai Bowl was refreshing to have but did taste a little sour, probably a seasonal issue. Scrambled eggs were really yummy. They were soft and fluffy but also so oily. Crispy Prosciutto was so good and paired really well with the crunchy toast and the eggs.

Service should be better ! I didn’t get a single smile or even a hello. This makes we wonder if they only put in effort when it’s busy 🤨. Anyways, the food itself was fairly average. I ordered the eggs and prosciutto which go very well together, but the eggs were a little over fried and dry. The açaí bowl, which was recommended by almost everyone, didn’t do justice when I came. Presentation was simple and the flavour was basic.
Maybe they would have accommodated better if I was invited. 😂
For me I wouldn’t be back.
Love At First Bite
Leichhardt Espresso is a cafe in Leichhardt that has mainly outdoor seating, on the shopping strip. We came for lunch one day, keen to dig into their extensive menu. For our drinks we ordered the Oreo thickshake to start, this was nice and thick and definitely a decadent choice. For a healthier alternative we also tried the Carrot, orange and apple juice, you can mix many ingredients and make your own juice. This was nice and healthy and refreshing.

If you’re in Leichardt, have the corn fritters at Leichardt Espresso. Came here after a Saturday gym sesh, ordered 2 mains and an açai bowl to share, a blueberry smoothie and a mixed berry smoothie. I need to get my 5 plus a day in! We ordered the chive and crispy prosciutto scrambled eggs with sourdough and the corn fritters topped with avo, tomato and sour cream. I’m not sure whether it was because we just hit the gym, but this absolutely hit the right spot. The prosciutto went well with the eggs. The corn fritters were delicious, the batter was thick and a touch sweet, and Leichardt Espresso did not skimp on the corn! Bless their souls. They were also generous with the avo and sour cream. I would return for the corn fritters!! The açai bowl was also made well, I can imagine having a bowl like this in the summer. Overall very happy tummies.

Spectacular ; the açai bowl was amazing ; it wasn’t just An amazing looking dish.
The service was friendly also.
The food came out quickly even though it was busy!
The light but beautiful aroma of coffee was a nice touch.

Friendly staff, and good vibe. I ordered the smashed avocado on toast, along with a couple of sides. I had also ordered an Acai smoothie, and they were quite accommodating to the request that I had made to change a bit of my order. A good place to sit out to eat :)
@KeraBearEats
Visit by invite.

This place is perfect for a lunch date, catch up with friends, and very family friendly.

Their pastries are great and coffee is good.

Very polite and friendly staff, flexible in accommodating my food allergies and was able to change my order with no fuss. Very well priced with generous serving sizes. And a lovely atmosphere on Norton st! Highly recommend giving Leichhardt espresso a visit! Wel sure be back....

Came as a guest! Came for the big breakfast and it really lives up to its name. I just couldn't finish it. My missus had this omelette with chicken and spinach and feta, the salad that came with it was huge but what impressed me most of the tomato chutney that accompanied it,really works well together
Alfresco dining with enough room to fit a pram.
I saw plenty of people have takeaway coffees but didn't try one myself

Campos coffee beans are good - albeit carrying an average barista.

However - my takeaway banana bread came with unwanted CHEESE melted into it. Completely gross. The whole slice tastes like every food OTHER than banana bread.

Have been here a few times and NEVER EVER again. Average food , coffee is poor and most of all it is expensive - there are many better options available both in terms of quality and price point. We will not be back ever

Leichhardt Espresso is located in the heart of Norton Street, and parking was a breeze when we brunched there on Sunday morning. The staff were extremely friendly, and the service was prompt. You need to order/pay at the counter, which I’m not a huge fan of but the line wasn’t too big when we arrived. We ordered the Eggs Benedict, Bacon + Egg Roll, Smashed Avocado Bruschetta (with a side of poached eggs) and orange juice. The Eggs Benedict and Bacon + Egg Roll were cooked to perfection. The side of poached eggs with the Smashed Avocado Bruschetta were *slightly* overdone, but the Smashed Avocado Bruschetta saved the dish – overall it was delicious. Oh, and the orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the best I’ve had in a while! We’ll be back.
The Weekend Foodie
This seems to be the spot for breakfast in leichhardt with alfresco seating sections. I felt the space was a tiny bit crammed and tiny tables. We ordered the usual coffee, sam got a vegetarian breakfast and I ordered smash avo. The portion was HUGE. We finished off with french toast, again huge portion and really sweet. It wouldve been a good balance if there was a dollop of fresh cream. I would not be able to eat this dish on my own.

The service seemed reasonable. I think its a nice place for locals, i feel that the portion is very generous and the food is ok. Im keen to see the menu development and what changes they would make. Dont get me wrong, this place wasnt bad but it didnt wow me either.

---

Edit -

We returned again!

Still feel that 3/5 is a suitable score. Scrambled eggs with mushroom and avo were good, eggs were done nicely. Sam had salmon brioche, he enjoyed it. I felt that food have marginally improved, but not quite in the green zone yet, maybe a 3.25/5? Man we are picky.

Caramel thick shake was nice but it wasn't exactly thick.

Acai was good... but it's hard to get acai wrong... right?

Will return again

*we were kindly invited.
Snapshots Of Food
We haven't been to Leichhardt before...and wow we had no idea that it was a busy and bustling location for locals. We visited Leichhardt Espresso for lunch in the heart of the district, facing the main street. While it was a little noisy, it gave us a great view of how the locals live - dogs, families and bikes were in ample supply.

A nice cafe, good service. We had the veggie breakfast and some cronuts. The food was ok. I was a bit disappointed because my order was wrong and the coffee took really long to come out, after we had finished eating.
Street parking is available.
Check out @sydneyfoodfrenzy for my insta pic!

I came here for brekkie as I had seen a lot online about it so thought I would give it a try. Whilst the photos people post look great I unfortunately was disappointed by what I got. I ordered the French toast with a side of crispy bacon and a large cappuccino. The coffee whilst it was campos, and I usually enjoy campos, was burnt. You just can’t afford to make bad coffee in the innerwest or anywhere nowadays. The French toast was nice however I didn’t realise the maple syrup came already poured on the toast, and when I mean ‘on the toast’ I actually mean drowning the toast. My side of crispy bacon was also more on the burnt side than crispy side. Overall I was a little disappointed with my meal.
The Naked Food Addict
Have been here a couple of times now and they have some good dishes. Located in the heart of leichardt on Norton Street, they have great parking and it's nice when you go there early and you can sit in the sunshine. They have quite a large menu with lot's of variety. The first time I went, I tried their pancakes which reminded me of my childhood, perfect amount of maple syrup and they do some delicious bacon too! We also had a berry smoothie which was nice, but as a personal preference I would have liked it a tad sweeter. We also had their ricotta and avocado and smoked salmon on toast which was good. The balsamic glaze really made this dish. Their meatball burger was delicious- would definitely recommend trying it out. The second time I went, we ordered the big breakfast. It wasn't bad, but it was a pretty standard big breakfast (and didn't seem overly big), the chorizo was nice on it however. We also got a cheese and ham croissant & the scrambled eggs with prosciutto. I personally enjoyed the prosciutto :)

GMV Eats - Leichhardt Espresso @ Leichhardt

Weekend is the best time to enjoy a long leisure brunch with friends. Leichhardt Espresso is located within Sydney's 'little Italian village' and you can certainly expect good coffee and delicious food! Their cafe meals are excellent (the smashed avo bruschetta, prosciutto scrambled eggs are yum!); good luck coffee (strong enough for the Italian); and very reasonably priced.

https://www.weekendnotes.com/leichhardt-espresso/

Check out my instagram @positivityna for more Sydney brunchspot reviews!
Me and my friend, both vegan stopped for brunch at Leichardt. I still have the taste of the avo on toast (with edible flowers yess) on my tongue. It was really delishious! They even bought vegan bread for us at coles, which is more than nice! Otherwise there wouldnt have been many vegan options.. I would recommend to add more vegan or egg/meat free options to the menue.. Also there is outside seating only- I prefer inside seating in winter somehow :D They offer Bonsoy Cap which is a plus and made our order to our wishes. Though for the missing variety of options foodwise (they have a large smoothie and drinks menue) and the missing inside seating as well as the not so trendy tables and chairs, I can only rate it 3/5.
Coffeebrunchanddinner
The coffee is delicious, the meal servings are generous and the menu is huge. Leichardt espresso is the sister Cafe of rozelle espresso and the popular tiny giant in Petersham.

As well as coffee there is a selection of fresh juices and smoothies. For brunch I can recommend the smashed avo bruschetta - two large pieces of soy linseed bread topped with cherry tomatoes, danish feta & balsamic glaze. I also added smoked salmon which made this a filling and satisfying start to the day. Equally as filling was the brekkie burrito, your choice of chorizo or bacon with hash brown, cheese, smashed avo & tomato relish.

If you are in the inner west pay these guys a visit!

Situated in a calm outside surrounding with scrumptious food and amazing coffee. The smashed avo was a winner, it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The menu offered a wonderful selection and the service was friendly and very helpful. A big thumbs UP 👍.

AMAZING place! You have to try it out!

The ambience of the cafe is great- you'll see lots of locals stopping by for a bite and some coffee.

✌🏻Pancakes
The pancakes were stuffed with bananas (cool right?!) and paired with lots of fresh fruit. It tasted pretty damn good.

✌🏻Meatball burger
A really unique combination of home-style meatballs and cheese. I really enjoyed it because it tasted really good and didn't make me feel heavy or greasy.

✌🏻Big breakfast
You can never go wrong with a big breakfast! There was a good portion of everything on the plate, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Loved it!

✌🏻Nutella-oreo thickshake
This one had the perfect combination of taste, thickness and consistency. A must try if you come here!
