Review Koi Bento - Leichhardt

Great location down on Norton Street where there is street parking, the restaurant itself is quite cosy with authentic Japanese interior design. The staff are very friendly and serve you right away, Bento boxes are massive at $27.00 the Katsu fried chicken is super crisp served with fresh rice. Definitely a positive experience and will still be coming back for more.

I have both eaten here and ordered through uber eats (all positive experiences). The food portions are a lot bigger than the usual Japanese restaurants which is great. It is very affordable and the workers are really kind. The downside of sitting down is that it is quite small so I wouldn’t suggest this place for large gatherings. I am personally a HUGE fan of the udon and have tried some other meals but I don’t think I like them as much.

Enjoyed it, great service and food. Turnaround once the order was made was quick as well.

The owner went above and beyond today to make sure I was happy with my order, I really appreciate it, thank you. I did previously leave feedback and 1 star on Uber eats, but that was before the business surprised me by resolving my order issue. I really wanted to address this and say there are still kind wonderful businesses and business owners like this one that exist. Wishing you well as a business and will order again in the future when in the area.

I ordered thru ubereats and I love their yummy food and how well and secure it's packaged. They even gave me the extra noodles I asked for, with a smile 😄

The pork ramen was great, same goes with those mixed sashimi. The menu has no photos but when I kept checking out on other s table order and they all looks pretty amazing. Decent portion, reasonable price. Easy to find street parking. The staffs are friendly and helpful 👍

Had the chicken katsu and bbq beef. Both dishes were nice, however, felt like the udon could of had more flavour IMO. Portion size was pretty average. Food felt like it took quite some time to come out..... staff were super friendly and nice though.

Don't bother ordering. They will waste your time and leave you with nothing to eat! Waited for half an hour only to be informed that my order is cancelled (ordered through UberEats)

Felt like some Japanese and thought I’d give this place a crack. I was pretty nervous ordering from here once I checked Zomato and already saw really bad reviews for this place. It was too late though, it had been done! Ordered via Ubereats. The food wasn’t as bad as expected. The takoyaki was a little misleading, this was called “jumbo takoyaki” - it looked really normal sized to me? Given the horrendous reviews below, I was pleased with what I actually got. Food was super mediocre but it was not inedible. The sushi rolls are a little overpriced though - it’s definitely what you can get at the corner sushi store for lunch. The takoyaki was definitely frozen - was super doughy inside. Overall, food was ok - felt like food court Japanese food. I’d give it a 2.5 if I could.

I ordered the spicy sashimi salad and the chicken Katsu Udon. Both of the dishes weren't bad, but there was nothing particularly special about them.<br/><br/>Considering the amount of time it took to arrive, this place would make a great last minute quick bite. Nothing special, nothing fancy, just comforting food at a reasonable price.

Went here during lunch hour and ordered their lunch special bento - teriyaki chicken, garden salad and agedashi tofu. The lunch set comes with miso soup. Food was good..love the agedashi tofu. Service staff was very friendly. Will go back again to try out other menu.

Ordered a home delivered takeaway; it was slow in coming (beyond the promised hour) but the sushi, soft shell crab salad and chicken teriyaki were good. However, the pork katsu was terrible to the point we could not eat it; tough, gristly meat in a limp crumbed coating. The most expensive dish ordered a waste so they won't get our patronage again.

We noticed that there were 2 other tables with their meals half eaten or barely touched... ominous sign. Slow service (2 cooks were frantic busy yet no customers, 1 waitress) and the chicken katsu was rancid - my kids refused to eat it - the crumbs tasted really strange - I believe the oil was not replaced from the previous cooking session and tasted a combination of beef, seafood and old socks. We had to scrape off the coating and soak the chicken in teriyaki sauce to eat it. I'm sorry I'm so harsh but my daughter was teary eyed at the poor quality of her chicken katsu.

It was really awful.. There are many japanese restaurant in sydney.but mostly it isn't real japanese.actually most of places are running by korean.<br/>here is really dirty.
