I enjoyed my first visit to Palace Cinemas. It felt very exclusive and the service was great. The manager waived the fee for our choc tops and drinks because our gift card didn't process. You could tell they cared about the customer base. One thing they could improve on are the cleanliness of the toilets because you can smell it in the foyer...

Always love going to this small intimate venue. If you are watching a movie before lunch its a 5 star experience. Friendly staff that go above and beyond. In recent times, when I have been here late afternoon or early evening its a completely different experience. Mainly the cleanliness and the smell from the toilets. Bins over flowing and the area in front of the seats are full of empty food and drinks. Clearly not cleaned between movie showings.

We love going to Norton Street to the movies. The staff and counter service is always good , but unfortunately the toilets are always dirty and smelly.They need a good scrub and floors a steam clean. I try to avoid them if I can but last night the end one was awful 😞. Hand gel at the entrance has been empty for a month as we go regularly. I pointed it out to one of the young workers last night . Covid is still around and I think this is still important. I know it is hard to get staff, but let your standards go as everyone is noticing.

Customer service has really deteriorated over the past year or so. Very sad as I'm a patron for the best part of a decade. Love the film selection and food and beverage options. Great venue and location. Can't say the same for many of the staff 😕.

Great online ticketing system, excellent Italian ricotta cake, rosé wine hardly ever in stock! and there's never enough staff.. but it works out, mainly because the staff are always warm, patient and ensure you get what you need. l love this place, it's humane (although the hand-drying paper plus hand driers in the toilets are constantly needing attention) and overall, it always feels like a refuge from an otherwise often unwelcoming world outside.

Love this cinema - great coffee and food you can take in to the movie. Very comfy seats and great movies. Fantastic memberships for all types and ages.

Great cinema with good spaces to relax for a drink prior to movie. A number of small theatres, good seating. Join the movie club for great deals on tickets.

Easy process to purchase tickets online. Not much free parking around before 7pm If you don’t know Norton street, give yourself extra time to park and walk or be prepared to pay. Cinema 7 seats at back near wheelchair area very uncomfortable. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty grubby with bins overflowing and bathrooms not cleared. The whole cinema layout is all over the place. Not my favourite..

wide variety of menu options, good quality food however portions of the dessert are a bit missleading. the atmosphere wasn’t too great either. we had some nice dessert but i would not bother going back.

Best way to enjoy the lazy sunny day is to have lots of icy dessert. We decided to give this place a go and ordered the<br/>Choc-Berry Crepe,  Affogato , Choc Shakes and their Belgian Deluxe in Dark Chocolate. We really enjoyed the Affogato, the Expresso bitterness, and mildly sweet chocolatey mixed with pleasantly sweet Premium Vanilla Ice Cream make this dish a really memorable one. Their Belgium Deluxe House Special Fondue with Belgium Dark Chocolate comes with all the goodies, we particularly enjoyed the Dark Chocolate, Churros and the Marshmellow..

This spacious cafe promised lots of sweet, chocolatey treats and the menu was definitely reflective of this. Having a huge range of flavours under their Italian Hot chocolate, shakes and Monster shakes category as well as lots of waffles & pancakes with various toppings. The display cabinets were filled with ready made cakes which were fairly standard offerings and chocolates and a few savoury sandwich items. On this occasion, I only tried the Italian hot chocolate and Belgium hot chocolate as well as a Kit Kat Thick shake. All provided a very sweet kick and were enjoyable, although the hot chocolates were served luke warm which was a little disappointing. The kit kat shake had a good amount of ice cream which made it thick and was great but a bit more chocolate would have been good. It was not a busy cafe and there was only 1 staff so service was quite slow. But when you are not in a hurry and want to sit back and have a nice indulgent drink and something sweet to accompany it, it is a good place to go.

Yeah it is friday, time to go out for lunch and this time we decided to visit The Chocolate Room to pamper our taste bud.<br/><br/>We tried panini sandwich and Zatar roll with droffle and coffee.<br/><br/>Coffee is nice here and also we were happy with our meal but there Droffle was not up to expectation. It's combination of donuts, oreo, ice cream and puff pastry. And also it was quite expensive as per quality.<br/>

Yuck!!! If you want to have a burnt cup of garbage and pay $7 for it, by a unfriendly staff member who would rather be anywhere but there than, this is the place to be.

Service here is very friendly. I had the Black Forest Cake and Hazelnut Italian Hot Chocolate. The cake was okay but mostly made up of cream and dry cake. Most likely brought in as didn't seem to be store made. The hot chocolate was delicious and really tasted of hazelnuts.

Norton Street in Leichhardt is a popular place for Italian food. Of course most places there offer dessert too - but the arrival of The Chocolate Room certainly expands the available choices.It is similar to a range of other places in that they focus on sweets - and predominantly those with a chocolate hit.They have coffee, milkshakes, hot chocolate and spiders too - as well as a range of homemade chocolates. They have a pretty wide range of dessert choices too - it's not a case of one or two options.

Great coffee, delicious dessert, and friendly service. I ordered a Cappuccino, and tried the Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse, and the Mars Bar Cheesecake. Both were incredibly fresh and most importantly, very indulgent. This place is a must for any sweet tooth.

Really enjoyed this chocolate cafe.. Took the kids there .. Went with other friends and their children ..Very friendly staff .. Quick service.. Dollars worth not like other chocolate cafes or max Bremer.. Waffles crepes are to die for .. And amazing hot chocolates <br/>

Joke of a place. Worst service. Waste of my time. Completely empty with five people behind the counter doing nothing. Left after 20 minutes of waiting to being served

Disappointing. Dropped in for a coffee / treat and was underwhelmed. The iced chocolate was average at best but what really let us down was the Red Velvet cakes. The 2 slices were presented well enough but were just about inedible. Rock hard and obviously very stale. After one mouthful each we left them and pointed this out politely to the owner. He seemd surpised and said they were fresh in on Saturday but if that was the case then they clearly hadn't been stored properly. What was really disappointing was that during our conversation the owner offered several excuses, NO apology and still charged us for them. We will not be going back.

Glad I live locally!. I fully endorse the Chocolate Room. It is a wonderful place with great staff and chocolate - what more could anyone ask for!? I am always treated very well when I visit, the friendly staff make every effort to ensure that I am comfortable and served quickly.

Amazing ..... I have been to the chocolate room several times.. And tried several dishes all were amazing and perfect .. Haven't found a fault in anything .. The service is great the atmosphere is great and the place is beautiful .. They're continuesly amazing us with new things ie shisha, mezzeh plates , breakfast n much more ... Love the chocolate room and highly recommend it .. Will be going every week with friends .. <br/>Great job the chocolate team..<br/>Xxxjeniffer

Perhaps will improve with a little time. We did go here the week they opened, so need to give it another try to make a fair judgement. A wide range of flavoured hot chocolates, I had the orange and my partner had coconut. Both were tasty but not amazing. Many of the menu items were not available (e.g. churros), but again maybe they have fixed this by now. A very warm and friendly welcome.
