Went to this quaint little cafe for breakfast yesterday .
First day for new owners , and couldn't fault the food or the service .
Nicely presented, hot and delicious. I had the "healthy breakfast" (lovely ) and my other half had the same but added bacon,
Very enjoyable and we will return .
Good luck to the new management,
Hope they keep up the standard they have set .
Come here regularly for breakfast and it's always delicious, really like that the hash browns and baked beans are made on the premise. Cakes also are very good (again, made on premise), my personal favourite is the chocolate/beetroot warmed up and served with cream. Only downside is I usually can't do breakfast AND cake in the one sitting, oh woe is me ;) Thoroughly recommended.
Took a friend visiting from Darwin, here for breakfast Sunday morning and had a wonderful time. We both ordered eggs benedict, and they allowed me to change the ham to bacon. We also ordered homemade hasbrowns, these were tasty, crispy hashbrowns using grated potato, yum! The eggs were cooked to perfection, runny when split open, the bread was crusty but not hard, lots of spinach and just the right amount of hollandaise. I had a latte with half a nutella cup cake, what a treat!!!! Not too sweet, great dense consistency with a surprise of nutella inside the cupcake and the right amount of icing in top. The atmosphere was warm, set inside a shopping centre but in a quaint, sweet cafe with a cottage tea rooms feel as they do high teas here. The service was fantastic, welcoming and fast to deliver the breakfast, I will be bringing more friends here in future, esoecially to try the burger menu!!!!
Went for coffee and cake on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted and served by a friendly young man who had good knowledge of what he was selling and how it is made. Our group ordered brownies, chocolate beetroot cake and orange & almond cake. All were very tasty and well priced at about $6 each for a decent sized slice. I'll be back to try out other cakes in the future.
Had a wonderful breakfast here during the week. Had great service. The coffee was beautiful. The breakfast was really good. Freshly made yummy pancakes. The staff are very friendly and efficient
Eggsellent Breakfast. My husband and I recently had breakfast at the King and Spoon. We both had the eggs which were cooked to our liking, and the hash browns were made in house, devine. The decor is very eclectic (which I love and find quick inviting) and the staff are friendly, they have obviously developed rapport with many of their regulars.
Highly recommend this little cafe... What a lovely change from many of the chain coffee houses.
Brilliant. All staff are always cheery and helpful, requests are catered for as much as is possible. The coffee is divine, food is brilliant. Would definitely recommend any item from the breakfast menu, the quiche for lunch and orange and almond cake for all the time. King & Spoon is building a strong reputation within the community for all the right reasons, and only keeps improving in every way it can.
Great friendly service, cleanest kitchen in the hills, best food. Lesmurdie has needed a quality cafe for a very long time. Staff are always cheerful and are happy to meet any requirements. Warm and friendly decor and run a beautiful high tea quite regularly. Seems to be popular with local politicians as a meeting place I noticed on my first visit....lucky to get a seat.
Great food service and staff.... Coffee really good as well...
Not A Yuppy But Enjoy Food
