Review Olinda Creek Hotel - Lilydale

Went for lunch today. Average pub fare, nothing special really. Pork roast was warm, burgers were okay and the bucket of wedges was what you'd expect. You order using a QR code on your phone. Waited 25mins for 2 soft drinks and a pot of tea.

Meals were small and average for the price. My Porterhouse was not worth the price. It was cooked well, though veges were lacklustre, peppercorn sauce was kind of gross - more like a KFC gravy with peppercorn in it (never had a peppercorn sauce quite like it). Partner had Salmon and would've liked a bit more than 3 burnt asparagus on the plate. Service was reasonably quick on food, but found if ordering drinks through on table QR code, we were waiting a while. I've been to better bistros than this. Staff were obliging to take photographs of the family though, which was nice.

Great atmosphere and service. The Oscar parmy was great but I ordered with potato and veg and got chips, undercooked broccoli (couldn't cut it) and the smallest bit of pumpkin (which was very nicely cooked). Had I known I would get chips for my potato, I would have just ordered chips and salad. Was a nice meal though, we will be back.

Lovely staff and food, exceptionally clean and just amazing time! One hiccup with orders assigned to the wrong table, it happens, all sorted thanks to presented invoice. :) Will return again and again! :)

Overpriced and below average meals here. $33 for a Fisherman’s Basket and each of the 9 pieces had been processed and frozen. None of the seafood was fresh. Two of the items were pieces of manufactured seafood stick. We only ordered main meals and they arrived 5 minutes apart. The best part of the experience was the glass of Pepperjack Shiraz

Had lunch in the bistro today & we both thought the food was great, very well priced meals ( would highly recommended a visit ) extremely friendly staff and the venue was well presented and clean . Will definitely return and explore the menu further.

Very ordinary seniors fish and chips for lunch. 2 sall fish fillets deep fried to close to burnt, dry and not pleasant to eat, crossed off the list not eat there again, 4 of us

A Chirnside Park local who has been to the bistro many times over many years. Hadn't been for ages so wife and decided to have a Saturday night dinner here. First photo was taken an hour after we ordered our meals. Steak med/rear and Fish of the Day. After no sign of food for am hour and obvious grumblings from other tables around us it was clear there's a problem. Staff wouldn't even clear the glasses. After an hour and a quarter the meals arrived. Fish of the Day was disappointingly small. Steak was cold. Little care from frustrated staff.

my family and I have had quite a few meals here last night was the best night I won a voucher in the raffle and even better after both my hubby and I joined as members loved the new menu look and my meal last night was amazing chicken with prawns and gnocchi my hubby meal and son was amazing as well we will be going again for another meal we have never had bad service ever the staff are wonderful friendly and it shows they love to work there

Beautiful staff, beautiful food. Rebecca Elks did an incredible job putting together our Mothers Day high tea, I could not be more impressed. Highly recommend this venue.

We had a great meal at the OC last night. My husband had the mussels, and thoroughly enjoyed every bit. My daughter had the risotto and it was cooked beautifully. I ordered the pork from the specials menu, and it was a lovely, tender cutlet, cooked to perfection. We didn't book, but were seated as soon as we walked in. The staff were friendly and efficient, couldn't fault the service we received. All in all we had a great night out.

After bad meals with work friends over 1 yr ago... i was asked to go again with family..well will try again. but NEVER ever again..meals ok. Bar staff lovely.. meal ordering and delivering staff TERRIBLE.. RUDE made us very uncomfortable.. would never recommend this place to anybody...

Parma night is fantastic, probably a better meal size than the regular parma if I'm honest - can't ever finish a regular parma. We finished off with a $6.50 coffee & cake special and everything from the food to the staff was awesome.

Went to the venue last night and I dont think ill be returning any time soon! Ordered the pumpkin ravioli first it was 28 dollars for 7 bits of hard chewy pasta which just tasted like cashew nuts. The bowl of chips were soggy and had been sitting there for a while. The roast had a good taste however was sitting in a bed of water. When we arrived someone pointed us to our table without even seating us and then had to get the menus ourselves. No one followed up on how our meals were or anything so customer service was appauling. Shame as I have had a nice meal here before. Not a good end to mothers day.

Definitely won't be back. $ 27 for a seafood plate... inedible.... rock hard fried food.... Rebecca the duty manager refunded 1 meal... bad luck for us.... we had 2 of these after returning an over cooked schnitzel ....I have been cooking in commercial kitchens for 30 years... I would not keep such a terrible Chef on!!!

My son and I had porterhouse steak for lunch with vegies, the steak was hot and delicious, as was the vegies with mushroom gravy, we both enjoyed our meals a great deal, and the female staff were friendly and helpful 10/10

Not too bad, but not great. I had the wagyu beef burger and the beef pattie tasted like it was a frozen one from the supermarket. The rest of the burger was good though.

Ordinary meals soup was really salty, chicken tasted funny best thing was the water.

Terrible 14 of us for dinner and we waited one and a quarter hours, the place was'nt even that busy.the last two people to order got their meal and were finished long before the rest of us got ours,

Hey dudes. Your slow cooked ribs that you whipped out of the fridge and teased with some vague form of heat looked great when we first got them. Unfortunately they were colder than my ex mother in law's evil heart. I commend the service team in swiftly and graciously offering to make it again. Very professional in their demeanour and ability to dish up yet another stone cold rack of miss piggys best. Next time I will book ahead and bring down a bag of charcoal for the grill, as it has way more heat than the cold wet twigs they must be using. Thanks for the refund mate, I could feel your pain as I returned with the second lot in hand. The boys in the kitchen will get there.. just stop them watching tv cooking shows where 1 minute over a tea candle is considered over cooked

I popped in to this venue and I had a pram. As I was on my own I used the ramp access so I didn’t need to lift pram up the stairs. There was a private function on in the area I needed to walk through. I politely asked the female waitress if there was another way to go through so I didn’t interrupt the private function. The response I got was extremely disappointing and so was the attitude that came with it. I was told to walk back around and use the stairs.... And quote “ it’s only a few stairs I did it when I had a baby” This woman was extremely rude and her attitude stinks. There was a manager on and not one person offered to even help not even the manager. I voiced my opinion and disappointment......As a local I will not return to this venue. What happened to customer service?
