Cage Cappello was a treat.. try the Poached Snapper Fillet in herb butter with crunchy chips and salad or the tender Duck Leg with roasted sweet potato and lovely snow peas.. well worth a visit

Great coffee as always, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Have been a regular here for many years, thanks Capello gang.

Five stars for making an amazing cup of one of my favourite coffees, Botero. And opens at 5AM for all you early morning risers. Great service too! Thank you! ☕☕☕☕☕

We had a delicious pasta dinner. There were no seats and we were in a wet seat at the end of the restaurant, but the attentive waitress arranged another table for us. The table in the photo is marked with a cross because Corona has made it unusable.

Pretty bad experience today unfortunately. We came today for a coffee and a little breakfast. We arrived and have been told that all the tables were booked - fair enough it is Xmas eve and didn’t reserved - so happy to stay at the counter outside. (During the hour that we stayed at the cafe, in average 2 to 3 tables were empty at the same time) We signed in and pop our head inside the cafe to have a look to the display fridge to choose a piece of cake. We are welcomed by a loud “guys, out!” From the barista. Definitely not friendly. We understand that the cafes have to apply some Covid rules, and respect this at all time. but a better communication around it could avoid this confusion (if they reach the max people inside), and also a better way to talk to people. we ordered the coffees first, and then the breakfast. We got the coffees pretty quickly, but waited over an hour, still no food. We asked the waitress - she seemed a bit confused, but came back and said the chef was making them fresh, it is why it was taking so long. We gave it another 10mn and decided to pay for the coffees and leave without breakfast. We explained the situation while paying, and still no acknowledgement or apologies. The chef seemed pretty confused about this missing order. Disappointing experience for a Xmas brunch. The cafe seems lovely but i would recommend to work a bit on the communication skills.

Such warm hospitality where we had walked away from other locations that weren't as welcoming . Food and beverages were top quality, the arancinis a stand out. Nothing was too much trouble for this amazing team. Thank you for making a lovely lunch very memorable!

This is a great “not so little” Italian cafe filled with Lismore locals which says a lot about a cafe. Wonderful country-town service and delicious food, not to forget the lovely iced coffees. Highly recommend the big breakfast. Wish we were here to try the lunch & dinner menu too. We will be back for sure. A very relaxed atmosphere and we don’t want to leave. Good for singles, gays couples, straight couples, families or even a group of friends. Actually feels like we’re in Europe.

Went in a group for the Friday night $50/head dinner & music. Sat inside, it was hot, noisy, couldn't hear the music at all and the food was very poor. Would have got better at bistro, only ate the antipasto because we were hungry, not served as the mains described on the menus we were given to choose from prior to the night. Cheap & nasty, felt ripped off. Sorry but it needs to improve before offered again.

Cafe Cappello is one of our favourite haunts. Great food. Friendly management and staff. Great service. Their Italian Evening, held once monthly, with fab food and wonderful music and atmosphere is a must!

The pizza was excellent, the staff very friendly and efficient. The only let down was the chocolate milk shake, which unfortunately was warm and in a small glass. Milk shakes need to be "cold", and bring back traditional metal containers. Otherwise a enjoyable experience.

Such friendly staff! Lost my car keys ended up leaving them there at their cafe without realising. They held them there for a week, remembered my name and provided quality coffee- doesnt get much better. Thankyou 😇😆☕☕☕

Love the coffee, the food and the family friendly atmosphere, but most of all how Tony and crew make you feel welcome to that family.
