Review Grill Shack - Lismore

Looking for something good to eat in Lismore on a Sunday afternoon is not an easy thing. There seemed to be only three places accessible when out traveling with a pet. We decided to eat here. I asked another customer who was waiting if he'd eaten here before and he praised the food and said that it's the only place open. (It wasn't but we didn't want the other food.) He was correct in his praise. We ordered a chicken burger, a cattleman burger and small chips. And a single meat pattie for the furbaby. We then took the food down the road to a park where we wandered around looking for the right place to eat. When we finally started our meal it was Delicious! It was also suitably hot enough. My family have owned very successful takeaway and restaurant businesses and this is a business should thrive even of they only serve these burgers and chips! The staff were absolutely fine and polite and the food took ten minutes. I timed it as we took the dog for a walk. I also timed it because freshly cooked burgers take time. The chips were excellent and crispy if you like crispy. I'm happy to recommend the Grill Shack.

I love supporting local businesses, but this is one i will not be supporting, the service was so low and terrible cashier gave me serious attitude for no reason then i had to wait 30 minutes for my food, and by the time i had gotten it, it was cold I genuinely wanted to give this business a chance but it seems to be a reoccurring thing, the stone cold burger was honestly not the 30 minute wait. Workers seem to be more engaged in conversation than actual work, not a place i will be eating again and i hope the owner is aware of the poor quality. Response: I think you have yourself mistaken my review is genuine and your response says it all, you cant take a genuine bad review without feeling offended instead of reporting my review maybe take it on board and improve your business. The Grill shack is a constant go to place for takeaway, their chips and burgers are constantly baked to perfection, whether your picking up or ordering online you can count on a friendly and helpful environment, Highly Recommend

Update: Thank you Jason for the prompt response. I'm glad to know I was mistaken it has made me feel better. unaware of an email address where I could have spoken about my review. Unfortunately from the outside looking in it's hard to know. Appreciate the clarity. However still disappointed in the meal and not just attacking a small business I always support local. Disappointed with meal and customer service. Food I ordered was cold and chips were unsalted.

Kuku chicken burger..the best thing ever!! Grill shack doing a fantastic job of providing REALLY tasty food, in a friendly environment, where everything looks clean and tidy and the whole thing is so well organised - from ordering online to picking up at the shop. Well done guys!!

The food is fine, but their service is really terrible. Waited 28 minutes for my 2 burgers and chips yesterday. I ended up having to walk up and ask if my order was ready, even though it was never called. This prompted 3 others to do the same, and it turned out all their food was ready too. The people working are too pre-occupied with chatting to each other than doing their job. It would be nice if they regularly asked for peoples orders/names or checked with people, especially when you see them there waiting for more than 20 minutes. Really terrible service.

Chips were OK, but quite oversalted. And the vegan burger was really mediocre. It had raw grated carrot and fat slice of raw cucumber, they just don't go well in burger. The patty was ok, but nothing memorable and sauce was lacking. I don't think I would go back.

Was told food would be ready in 20 minutes, ended up waiting an hour for one burger, third time in a row its happened so not an isolated problem. Food is below average and not worth the wait.

Awesome burgers and chips, best in town. But every time we get scollops they are dry as a bone and you can't eat them, the only reason we got them a second time is because 1st time might be a one off but second time is pushing it. Each time they have the same texture, good ones you can open and you see a sliced potato inside but these are that dry they are stuck to the batter. Had to give 4 stars for this.

Ordered a calamari burger but got calamari and chips, didn't notice until I got to the park to eat. At least they got my daughters order of fish and chips right.

Been here a few times now and had a couple of the burgers, the gluten free fish and chips and today tried out the new gluten free burger on a gluten free bun. It was amazing! Thanks for looking out for us Grill Shack

Every time I have come here it has been a horrible experience. I've never left a review before as usually it's not something I do but today when I came in the young woman you had serving your customers was the most rude service person I have ever seen. NO apology for making a mistake with my order and no manners. Hell, she yawned about 5 times in the space of a minute. Seems like she doesn't want to be there. I will not be coming back. The food may be okay a best but the people behind the counter need to be reevaluated.

As always my Kuku Burger on Turkish was wonderful. Had chips this time too and they were excellent! Love this place!! Just wish you had an aircon area to eat in, but as it's a take away shop I guess I'll forgive you...;)

The best tasting burger I've ever eaten. The meat so juicy and tasty and the range of burgers you can choose from is amazing. Best burgers ever!

The burgers, New Yorker and Kuku were fine, but had some fish bites......really unusual texture, won't be trying the fish again

Great burgers. Best in Lismore. You can wait a few extra minutes compared to the likes on McDonald's or hungry Jack's but it's well worth the wait.

Best Burgers and Chips. Highly recommend this place...
