Review Ristretto & Co - Liverpool

Bishoy Boulos
I came here for brunch and sat in the dining area at the back. I had heard great reviews through word of mouth over their coffee but their food did not disappoint at all! I ordered their beef burger and had a great time while my partner got a chicken panini. This place is Liverpool's best kept secret!

It's become my weekly ritual now but I believe they have the best Eggs Benny Salmon in Liverpool!! Also not to dismiss their other items on the menu too, their big breakfast is also fantastic and decent coffee. Note: The hash brown doesnt come with the dish.

A very relaxed setting - love the dining space out back; rain, hail or shine these guys got it covered (pun intended). Their corn fritters are a crowd favourite - packs a lot punch with a combination of flavourful ingredients.

Fantastic food and a great covered outdoor dining experience. Well worth the visit. The beef burger and chicken panini were excellent and we were able to sit and talk in a pleasant unrushed atmosphere. This place is Liverpool's little secret.

Many things to love about this cafe (nice space, great coffee, friendly staff). But one thing I remembered was that the chef made some house-made muffins the day we visited. I'm not sure if they're a regular thing, but for me it was it a real stand out. It was unique from the usual assortment of pastries that you get at cafes, and definitely made with love. And it tasted really good. I think we bought an extra one to takeaway.

Sunshine on a rainy day... Thank you. 😀 P.s. The Married Life over time (without coffee) goes... Where's my honey, Hunny? Where's the sugar, Sugar? How's ya tea, Bag? Suggestion... Make time for coffee, often.

Went with the mrs for brunch and from start to finish it was amazing. Service is top notch and we also met Luke, Lena and the manager who are all so friendly. The dining area is rustic and gives off a cosy vibe. Mango smoothie was very refreshing and both the big breaky and angel hair pasta was delicious. Maybe could’ve done with 1 more poached egg and maybe some hashbrowns in the big breaky considering price but other than that will be coming back and recommending to everyone!

Good service and lovely staff. The pasta dish and corn fritters we ordered were quite salty. Burger was good. The pancakes were pretty looking and yummy. Good coffee.

Love this cafe! The staff are so friendly and very welcoming and the food are bomb and it worth the wait! And it so relaxing and the environment gotta say my favourite place to relax ïżœïżœïżœ

I would definitely come back to this place with family and friends. I have many times looked at the south west areas for a good breakfast/lunch place and there are only a few that comes up. Unless you are willing to travel all the way towards north near Silverwater or further down the Hume Highway towards Ashfield area, then Ristretto and Co is your next best bet. There were a few items on the menu which looks interesting and would love to try out. Perfect place for a weekend breakfast/lunch with your loved ones and perhaps do a little shopping at Liverpool Westfield afterward! Check my blog site for a full review! tranthonybourdang

Stopped by for a late breakfast and indulged in the 'Breakfast Plate'. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the trout, cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and toast made it a very filling meal. Too many greens for my liking but that just comes down to personal preference. Otherwise a very cool little place with great customer service and relaxed atmosphere. My partner loved his Eggs Benny!

My partner and i went to Ristretto for my birthday yesterday. The people were friendly and the service was great. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The coffee was really good too. Id definitely recommend this place to others and id definitely come back =)

A great place for breakfast. Good coffee. Nice food.

Best coffee, food and service In Liverpool and easily on par with some of the best coffee spots in Sydney CBD. Thanks for always making me and my family welcome!

The bacon and egg roll is unreal. Good amounts of ingredients with this really nice tomato salsa stuff, and the seasoning on the outside tastes like barbecue shapes. I haven't had it in a while but it's great. Coffee is up there with the best in the area too.

i must say... the floor staff is simply excellent here

Great little hip cafe great food and very friendly and helpful staff hidden gem.

Visited 16Nov19, 20ct19, 2018:
The aroma and coffee taste are so beautiful here.
They never let us down each visit for occation sports trips.
They explain the flavour of coffee beans and serve single origin with the card.
The coffee beans are medium to strong strength flavour. I have tried the same coffee beans, Campos coffee in Mascot and SYD CBD but the taste is vary in each shop.

Their big breakfast is fresh and healthy.
Well recommended👍

Cute little hidden cafe located in the middle of Liverpool, this cafe exceeded our expectations. We had arrived during lunch on a weekday and was greeted and seated straight away. The interior design was wonderful and the natural lighting making it great for those pictures for Instagram. Our food had arrived quickly and fresh. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to try some quality food in Liverpool

Very chilled and spacious cafe, great vibes, super friendly staff and great food! We tried their crab pasta and loved it, the pasta was very soft and fluffy

Professional, welcoming, ambience is warm & inviting & the food is delicious!
Came here for a sunday brunch w/ my husband & we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The entrance is the barista & coffee machine on street view straight away its inviting & the interiors vibe is very cool. We were led to the back area where the outdoor seating is & saw plenty of seating. Our waiter was very friendly & was attentive only up until all our food was served. The place was quite busy & she was the only one on the floor serving so understandable she could not check in on our experience. The drinks came first, i enjoed my macadamia milk latte. The bean is full bodied which is what I like personally. Next came the food, not too long of a waiting period from ordering. It came out not all together but all within 5mins which is no problem. When we started eating the packed place became not so busy, the early brunchers had finished their meals but still a bunch of people trickled through which showed me this place must always be on the go. Even so, we still felt at rest & in no hurry to leave. The food was tasty enough & we really enjoyed the tomato based sauce in the sausage egg roasted mini pan. Felt like a nice chunky hearty thick soup with my toast, loved it! Would like to visit again and try the other items.

Located in the heart of Liverpool, Ristretto & Co. is a cosy and snug café offering an all-day breakfast menu with delicious Campos coffee. Walking down the small pathway into the seating area, we were greeted with a beautiful atmosphere full of colour and plants. Looking at the extensive menu it took a while for us to be able to decide! Eventually, we decided on something familiar, something new, and something sweet.

Super friendly staff !
Really good menu with lots of variety. All day breakfast - my favourite. I had the granola and my friend had the big breakfast. Super fast service and the food was incredible. Can’t wait to come back.

I visited this cafe a few months ago and had a terrible experience. The waitress took our order but never inputted it into the system. We waited 40 minutes+ for food only to be told we didn’t have an order pending. Left immediately and was extremely disappointed.

We decided to give it another go. Decent cafe in the area but nothing special about this one. I ordered the big veggie brekky and enjoyed it though the spinach was really sour because of the dressing. The coffee here is not that good in my opinion. The sweet potato fries are good though. You get plenty :)

My partner ordered the Angel hair crab pasta and thought it was one of the best he’s tried.

Hidden gem in Liverpool! Delicious waffles with fresh fruit, caramel sauce, fairy floss and ice cream. Just perfect. Also love the cosy vibes at this cafe.
Yvonne Sokias
A burger like no other 🍔 with a side of epic spreads from @ristrettoandco. I didn’t know where to start, let’s just say I had a bite from the burger to eating the fairyfloss off the waffles then digging into the avo smash, of course with the company of my foodie date. .
Adaucia
I ordered the spanner crab angel hair and a blueberry smoothie. The smoothie took a while but it was well worth it! A beautiful purple, obvious blueberry flavour and not too sweet. The angel hair was also very good.

My companions ordered a chicken burger and a chicken panini. They were also pleased with their meal.

We were seated in the courtyard, and it was a warm day but the sprinklers did their job well. My thanks to the reviewers here for pointing me to this place :)
Sydneyguyrojoe
Came as a guest. A little hidden gem. I like the wall art there. The vege burger was nice and filling. My friend had the eggs benny which he enjoyed. My friend enjoyed most the coffee! When you go inside your going to have a nice suprise on the layout of the place

Good food and good vibes, a little dear for breakfast but produce speaks for itself 🙃 one of the good breakfast spots in Liverpool. Recommend coffee đŸ€€
BiteMe.
*Worst instagram hype cafe i have been to.
*Staff are unatentive and dry
*The people on the table across me were fustraited as only 1 person received food and the other 2 were still waiting.. The waitress then bought out the WRONG DISH đŸ€ŠđŸ»â€â™€ïž
*The gentleman next to me who ordered first had to ask for cutlery 3x we also got our meal first and he was still waiting for a juice... poor bloke! My friend ordered waffles, they were as hard as a rock. I ordered zuchini fritters that were oli af! đŸ€ź never again!

A hidden watering hole for families, children, hospital workers and businessmen. Ristretto & Co Café really blew me away with how exquisite the food and drinks here were.

With an unassuming store front, I almost walked past this café had I not seen their signage out front. My first impression was that the café was quite small and honestly wasn't expecting much. Walking into the dining area out the back, I was pleasantly surprised by how open the space was and the rustic vibe that the decor and fittings gave. I also liked the quirky mural splashed across what I would assume to be the kitchen, it gave the area some spunk.

I ordered three dishes - Waffles with Vanilla Gelato ($17), Housemade Chicken Burger ($16.50), Spanner Crab Angel Hair Pasta ($18) - and two drinks - Watermelon Juice ($8) and Carrot and Celery Juice ($8).

The massive stack of waffles looked sweet and fancy on the dish with a gorgeous touch of pink Paskmak (Iranian cotton candy) on top. I loved how simple the presentation was, with the pancakes being the centre piece of the dish, and the fruit and gelato adding vibrancy, texture and bursts of flavour.

On my journey to becoming a burger convert, I can say without a doubt that the Housemade Chicken Burger pushed me over the edge. How could you say no to juicy southern fried buttermilk chicken? The crispiness of the chicken, fullness of the American cheese and aoli, balanced with a coleslaw made for an amazing burger. Coupled with a generous side of shoestring fries and tomato sauce, this definitely ranks up there with my all time favourites. Loved loved loved the presentation on a wooden board and I appreciated the dual purpose of the knife to hold the burger together and/or cut it in half.

Drawing on some Italian inspiration, the Spanner Crab Angel Hair Pasta was again a simple dish but the focus really was on the flavours. Definitely my dish of the day, not for the fact that I am easily won over by any pasta dish, but because of how unexpectedly bold the flavours were. Every component in the dish shone through but it was the spice that really matured the dish for me.

Drinks were freshly squeezed and a refreshing accompaniment to the dishes that I tried. Perhaps a little pricey for what they were, I would recommend either mixing some of the flavours for something unique or ordering a smoothie or milkshake.

My thanks to CPM Online Marketing and Ristretto & Co Café for the invite and hospitality.

If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!

Cute cafe near Liverpool Westfield with a food truck style kitchen in the back. Everything we had was delicious. Our personal favourite was the angel hair pasta with crab meat. Great first experience - we'll definitely be telling our friends about this one!

Once a hole in the wall strictly serving coffee and a few sweets, Ristretto & Co. has evolved into a cafĂ© hotspot for locals in Sydney’s South-West on Northumberland Street Liverpool. A small walkway through the cafe’s busy kitchen takes you out to a quaint, rustic style courtyard to sit, relax and enjoy a coffee & brunch with friends to escape the busyness of the world outside.

Just your typical average brunch place. Service was great, their staff were prompt and helpful. Food was meh and kinda boring. They need to come up with a signature dish that represents and screams out their cafe.
Their freshly squeezed oj was nice though.

Stumbled across this little cafe near our local Westfield’s and I can’t imagine why I didn’t know about this sooner?

Their kitchen is located in a caravan.. how cool is that?
Can I just say that.. they make the best corn and zucchini fritters I have EVER had. You definitely need to try that dish when visiting R&C.

The staff were really nice and bubbly and were able to pre-emptively cater to our needs (heater, high chairs for the kids) which was so refreshing! Oh, and food came out really quickly too.

I can’t wait to go back and try their lunch menu. Sounds just as amazing!

EDITTED - we came back on the 2/feb/2019. We had to revisit cause we still loved our breakfast experience there. This time round, we had lunch and it did not dissapoint. The food was delicious. It was a bit busy, so definitely recommend to book prior. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

Great little cafe in Sydney's west with flavoursome food and good vibes, reminding me of Melbourne's laneways and street art. All day breakfast and lunch available in this relaxed atmosphere with attentive service from staff.

Big ish courtyard at back. Had heaters on as it was a lil cold. Looks pretty. Menu limited but has healthy choices on it. A lil pricey but nice. Service good. Food came out pretty quickly. Ordered avo mash and big brekkie.

Went back again and tried zucchini fritters. Didn't say it came with poached egg or else I would have said not to include it. The fritters were very salty. I don't think I will order that again.

Watermelon & Feta Salad : 😍 Amazing
Angus Beef Burger : 😍 Amazing
Coffee : 😍 Amazing
Service : 😍 Amazing

You’d think this was a small takeout coffee place but when you walk further in you realise that there is a beautiful set up at the back. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the food was so delicious. The baristas make some damn good coffee. The only let down was the wait time for food. Other than that our experience was perfect here.

This was my first time in Ristretto & co, I’m shocked why I never visit to this place
Nice food will go again!!!!
Menu was limited I reckon.

The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing. Uplifting, happy and bright. My friends and I ordered chicken bites, ricotta and blueberry hot cakes and the buttermilk chicken burger.

Chicken bites was disappointing. For its price, there was more chips than chicken. The chicken itself was dry, thin and lacked flavour. Whereas the chips were over seasoned and soggy.

Ricotta and blueberry hot cakes was mediocre. I expected a light and fluffy hot cake but instead got a super dense hot cake which lacked flavour. Furthermore the presentation looked amazing (if only certain ingredients did not look like maggots, haha).

Buttermilk chicken burger was something interesting for my friends and I. The chips again were severely over seasoned and super soggy. The butter chicken itself was a star! Super juicy, moist and flavoursome. But the complimentary ingredients in the burger was overpowering and not my forte. There was a pickled item in the burger which was too sour and wrecked the beautiful burger in general.

I went here with some friends after hearing the initial hype, but I found I was a bit disappointed:

🌾 I ordered the "summer onesie" which was like a toasted sourdough with avocado and a poached egg. The toast was really stiff, a bit difficult to chew and eat. The flavours were great combined though so it made up for it.

🌾 the ambience is amazing, so your Insta feed will thank you!!

🌾 my friends wanted these hot cakes but they sold out, so it was a bit disappointing

🌾 the drinks (ice chai and chocolate) were a bit overpriced but tasted amazing, and were surprisingly filling â˜ș

The best spinach and sourdough brekkie i had tasted! The ambience was comfortable and the service was great! Locating the place was hard as it is a small place though

Great local cafe with high quality food.the setup and atmosphere of the place is quite nice. The service was average. The panini's they offer are affordable and delicious, the rest off the menu is a little pricey for the area

A nice place to go to if wanting to stay local. Food was great but have had better dirty chai's else where. Good for a relaxing brunch with family and/or friends.

Very tasty food!! Great environment and friendly staff! The service wasn't extremely fast however it was quite busy so the slow service was ok.

I was around Liverpool so took the opportunity to visit this popular cafe on this side of town. One
can be deceived by its narrow entrance but it leads to a bigger sitting area at the back.

Went for a large coffee and pulled pork burger. The coffee was nicely made and tasted like how superior blend from Campos is supposed to taste.
The burger was nice and accompanied by sweet potato fries. But unfortunately at one point, I felt I could either eat only the burger or the chips. The heaviness of the dish had basically kicked in at that point. If I try the burger next time, I would rather request for normal potato fries ( if permitted). I think that would balance the dish nicely as the pork itself is sweet and when Paired with sweet potato fries, it can be an overly sweet and heavy meal (not necessarily for everyone).

The service was efficient. I would return if am around the area.

As you can see by all the photos uploaded, this is one of our go to brunch and lunch places!

The ambience is amazing, and the food is even better!

A must try on the menu is the ricotta hot cake (make sure you allow for 20minutes to be cooked) you can tell that this dish, and all the dishes for that matter are cooked with love, care and attention to detail. Every element is a burst of flavour, and combine so beautifully together!

The customer service and coffee is also outstanding, and the waiters are nothing but friendly to you! Love this place and all it has to offer!

Burger was very juicy, a bit runny with all the sauces and even a fried egg. But delicious nonetheless. The place is well decorated and has semi-outdoor seating with plenty of tables. Service was good

Our favorite place for coffee in Liverpool. Awesome breakfast menu (their eggs benny are the bomb). Lunch menu is also pretty good. Staff are very friendly.

đŸš© @ristrettoandco
🍔 RISTRETTO BURGER: Wagyu beef, tomato, fried egg, bacon, lettuce, cheddar, pickled onions, yoghurt aioli and honey mustard on a bun 🍔

Take a narrow space between two buildings. Roof it. Chuck a demountable kitchen at the back and a coffee machine at the front and serve great food. Sounds simple. Executing as well as these guys is the hard part. This was close to being a really burger. Soft bun, nice and saucy, really liked the yoghurt aioli actually, but the beef looked like it hadnt digested it's grass properly. Way too much greenery up in that patty. Pickled Spanish onions were a great touch. Beautiful atmosphere. 4/5 daddy daycares 👌

*Quality food but poor service*

My group of 6 were told it could be a 30 minute wait but it didnt bother us too much, however it did mean we were expecting great quality. The food itself was pretty good. We had ordered the hotcakes and the breakfast platter. The platter could be shared between two if you have an average appetite (two of every thing). Reasonably priced as well which was a bonus! The staff seemed very unenthusiastic and the cafe did not seem customer oriented. It took a while for our order to be taken and for our meals to come. I understand that it was busy but I saw people who had come after and ordered the same meal recieve theirs first. I would come again but not if I have to.
Lamiokor Wellington
Amazing! Fresh! Creative! The only thing is it's pretty expensive, but SO WORTH IT. Everything is so colourful and freshly made, the creativity in everything from the plating and glasses and interior decorations. I just love everything about it, so hip too. I feel automatically cool when I come in. I feel like I'm in the middle of Surry Hills or something.

Food: 8.5/10
Service: 9/10
Cost: 7.5/10
Ambiance: 10/10

Date eaten: 16/12/2016

I ordered a bacon and egg brioche which had a tomato relish inside with some type of yoghurt and hot coconut-chocolate. My friend ordered coffee and a salmon and egg dish. Their menu has a large variety and all sounds delicious.
My brioche was quite nice even though I could not finish it. The brioche buns were delicious but I have to admit that the bacon and tomato relish were the best things about it. My friend's salmon tasted amazing and the eggs went quite well with it surprisingly.

My drink was delicious. You could actually taste the distinct flavours of coconut and chocolate. As for my friend's drink- even though I don't like bitter coffee- it was pretty nice.

We seated ourselves since the cafe has a to-go coffee/beverage area, and the tables are further in. Menus were brought out shortly after seated. The atmosphere of the cafe is amazing and the lighting is as good as you can get. Definitely will go here again!

I've only been to Ristretto & co once and i liked it. I hear many people saying it's one of the best cafe's in the Liverpool area.
I recall the service being super friendly and i enjoyed the food.
It's been so long so i may visit again in the near future.

Ristretto & Co and the offshoot in Bigge park opposite the hospital, called the shed are both good. A little city garden cafe feel in the south west.

My favourite is the Avo on toast with feta mixed in and tomato on top. If it's not available I switch between the poached chicken quinoa salad and the chicken panini. There are also baked goods and pressed juices available.

The campos coffee and carrot mixed juice is pretty nice. The cafe itself looks a little small but extends back. Get in early if you want a nice comfy spot out of the sun. Water is self service and the wait staff are generally good. It can be frustrating when menu items are unavailable.

went with my husband, the food was pretty good but a bit on the pricy end.

nice service and setting, great place to chill with frds. families or just by yourself. :)

This place is pretty cool!! Would recommend a visit to Ristretto & Co if you're in the area.
They have a really cute set up, it's semi outdoorish - they have the garden theme going on and a food truck looking thing as the kitchen, pretty different.
Burgers were really good, panini was great could have had better bread..

They definitely need all day breakfast!!! But otherwise great food, great set up and great atmosphere, would definitely go back!
Thefoodbotherer
The street frontage makes you think it is a little walk up takeaway espresso bar however walk down past the barista and you will find an industrial/rustic large dine in area in the style of The Grounds. Lots of greenery interspersed with timber and metal. The coffee is by Campos and to be honest I am not usually that fond of it, however, the barista weaves some magic here because it was lovely and passed my two piccolo test. The food is generous, on steroids generous. Hubs got the breakfast plate which he enjoyed. I got the corn and zucchini fritters. Whilst they were not crunchy like fritters should be, they were full of corn and zucchini, rather good. The fritters come with a perfectly poached egg, rocket and sprouts. Bubs got scrambled eggs which comes with parsley mixed through. We would return so we will request that they ask the chef next time if Miss 4 could have hers plain. Weird child will eat Basil all through her pizza though. Kids!!!
Little Miss Hungry
Nice little cafe with courtyard out the back. The food and service is great. The coffee is excellent. The juice was ok but seemed pretty expensive. Overall, a quality cafe right across Liverpool Westfields.
Lee
Really liked the roast vegetable panini here for lunch.
It's a nice quiet place and food comes out pretty quickly. Those of you who like stronger coffee are in luck - the beans they use have a nice strong aroma.

The crew at ristretto are the most down to earth group of people i have ever met. I grew up in the area and very proud of Mr Frank and his family for giving us liverpoolians somewhere as cool and fresh to be... much love.
Frillz & Co
Came to have breakfast here with my partner&sister, initially the first employee we ran into was rude which was too bad because the service of the employees inside the restaurant were awesome. We ordered the big breakfast and super green juice, and words cannot describe how good the food was!! It was BY FAR the best breakfast I've had anywhere with a generous serving size. So big that my partner couldn't even finish half of her breakfast lol our breakfast was then followed up by the ricotta pancakes with berries as it was recommended to be a great dish. Unfortunately it wasn't that great to taste, although the presentation was flawless 😊 who knows, I guess everyone has different taste buds but it didn't hit home for me. The super green juice was AMAZING, couldn't flaw it at all! It was well pressed and so smooth, the ratio of ingredients was spot on.. Overall it is an amazing spot if you're looking for healthy food&beverages that taste so good!
CoffeeGelato
Hidden gem in Liverpool. Considering there isn't much choice in the area, this would definitely be top of the list, found on urban list as one of the best avocado on toast in Sydney. Breakfast until 11:30, good coffee, cute home feel. Head over

Tucked away in the streets of Liverpool, this cafe is a must try! Newly renovated, with a tight entrance. All staff greeted us upon arrival and we were quickly seated with menus and a coffee order.
An outdoor homey backyard feel with hints of quirkiness.
With Sydney's ice cold feel atm, they had enough heaters to keep us warm.
The selection of foods were great and despite being a full house, our food arrived on average timing.
I must say the drizzle of olive oil on my egg and bacon panini was life changing!
On a negative note: I had a faint smell of a garbage bin most likely because of where I was sitting (end of the bar stools) ;seemed to come from the next building.
My partners food came first and I had to wait 7 minutes for mine - not great for a hangry girlfriend.
But to end on a positive, our food was amazing and will be back to try other menu options.

Good coffee, good food and blankets to warm your cold mornings.
Hidden little gwm in Liverpool, very small from the outside but opens up to a pretty seating area out back
Oneofeach_au
Ristretto & Co. may look like a small coffee take-away shop up front but as you walk inside, the magic unfolds.

Their famous panini's are famous for a good reason! My number 1 go-to panini is definitely the chicken. The chicken panini is exceedingly flavourful, well marinated and the mayo gave it a really creamy finish.

Other loves I would recommend are their sweet potato chips and polenta chips. Such a great place to have brekkie or brunch while catching up with your friends.

Love the interior decorations and how cosy the place makes me feel!

Service was a joke. I was here on the 8th of June, and I was waited to be seated. I ordered myself one of their new winter menu dishes, the baked eggs with sourdough toasts. The food was not great. The sourdough was so hard and felt stale, and the bakes eggs with the meat wasn't that great. The meat so lumpy and sauce was not mixed well. One of the lady waitress with the White ripped jeans didn't even come to my table to ask how my food was and if she could help me with anything else. Service was mediocrely and pathetic. Never coming back.
The Trending Connoisseur
A little hard spotting this place from the street but after walking in, the trendy hipster feeling kicked into gear. The atmosphere, food and coffee created a pleasant experience.

The friendly staff start you off by walking you through the open kitchen. The seating area is outdoor and small but didn't feel cramped. After taking our seats, we were glad the gas heater was lit as it was cold.

Looking through the menu, we noticed that the breakfast period had just finished. To our delight, the waitress happily told us that it was all day breakfast today. We ordered our coffees and everyone on the table received theirs fairly quickly except me.

Most on my table ordered the big breakfast. Presented on a wooden board, mine came out with two beautifully poached eggs, pancetta, spinach, mushrooms and a truss of tomatoes. The only downside was the pancetta bacon had shrunk to finger size and was simply disappointing. Stacking my bread with the different ingredients, I was utterly satisfied when cutting into both my eggs that the yolks oozed out. Unfortunately, the rest of my table didn't have the same effect as they were slightly more cooked.

My meal was great. Liverpool does not come to mind as an artisan centre but this restaurant definitely makes me want to reevaluate.
Mika Lodsman
Cute space, lovely people, amazing coffee, nourishing food. This is now our go to for quick meals in Liverpool.

We had 2 x flat whites & 1 x café latte. Also shared an avo/fetta on toast with salmon. Perfect little morning tea break.
Asian Food Ninja
Salad ninja!

Came here for a late lunch, found this little cafe on Instagram and of course i must visit!
Ordered a Quinoa salad with poached lwmon chicken and a wagyu burger! Fresh and healthy, i would eat the salad again!
I love the outdoor seating area and the decor, reminds me of the grounds of Alexandria.

Cant wait to go back for their breakfast menu.

Until next time .... Keep eating!!!!!

The food here is nice, fresh and always served great. The service is great and atmosphere is also very lively and gives off good vibes.

I like the food here a lot and the juices here are amazing! A great place to go to in Liverpool!
Trambites
Like the outdoor setting and the coffee is really good, however food is mediocre. I had the blurberry and ricotta hot cakes and it was burnt and a little undercooked.
Fatmine
This place scores points for its decor, service and coffee. Food on the other hand is quite average. The sausages in my dish we over cooked and dry, the spinach was sitting in a pot of olive oil and the tomatoes would have been better if they were cooked a bit more.
Jenlicious
What's with hipster cafes and their hard to spot locations these days? It seems to be the new trend haha

Ristretto & Co is hidden beside a hair salon just outside of Liverpool Westfield. With a tiny entrance you are lead through to their courtyard dining area in the back, where there's plenty of natural lighting and rustic elements creating a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. However, it was about 38 degrees the day I went so their ceiling fans unfortunately did little to no help at all đŸ˜„

The food took way too long to arrive hitting over the 30minute mark! And in this heat, it almost felt like an eternity 😧
I ordered one of their special breakie boards which didn't quite deliver in taste as well. Really, all they had going was their beautiful décor and their iced chai, which was delicious!

Located in Downtown Liverpool - this unassuming cafe has some pretty menu items and that delicious and generous. I highly recommend the Blueberry and ricotta hotcakes.

Average food, quite a bit of wait for the meal. A small selection on the menu but great service and attentive wait staff. Portions are average and the prices are standard

Food was tasty and came out pretty quickly, love the juice that they serve here. However one of the waiters was overly friendly, to the point where it was a bit annoying. He kept coming back and forth, standing around making small talk. Just wanted to eat my meal in peace without having someone hovering over me.

Situated right next to a hair salon, at the bottom of the ramp up to Liverpool Plaza's parking lot, Ristretto's unassuming appearance can easily be dismissed as just another hole in the wall serving coffee. Upon closer inspection, the tiny front opens up to an outdoor courtyard, with tables and seating for breakfast and lunch. A very nice setup with a relaxing and rustic feel.

They are open for breakfast and lunch everyday until 4pm, except for Sunday, where they are open to just 1pm. We came on a Sunday around midday. We were given small clipboards with menus for both breakfast and lunch. Not having been before, we decided to order from the lunch menu, only to be told they were only serving breakfast. To avoid this confusion, I think they should provide separate menus, or inform customers when handing out the menus. Anyway, so we ordered some coffees to start, which took an awful long time to come out. We had to remind a couple different staff members on our order. Maybe they were just having a bad day, as we overheard other tables questioning staff on their coffees as well.

We had the breakfast pan (can't recall the name) and when it came out, it was really impressive. A pan filled with some fat sausages, wilted spinach with grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, polenta chips, poached eggs with crumbled feta over the top. Served with some toast, drizzled with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We also had the bacon and egg panini, which was very big and extremely messy to eat. Food was decent, but nothing spectacular. I was a little underwhelmed with some of the components in the pan as they lacked flavour or seasoning, notably the sausages and polenta chips. I thought the bacon and egg panini was much more satisfying to eat, and extremely filling.

Overall, Ristretto is a nice addition to the Liverpool area. Should definitely give it a go if in the area.

Dined here on a Sunday morning with a friend. It was busy but not busy enough to have to wait. Ordered the feta and avo smash with an extra poached egg. The avo and feta was well seasoned but the egg slightly overdone. Also ordered the onesie which is one poached egg, one piece of toast, one avo and one rasher of bacon. This was a great serving for the not so hungry. The bacon was perfectly crispy but again the egg was slightly overdone however this is a preference as some like it with a gooey yolk. I will definitely visit again :)

This cafe is just what the west needed! Specifically Liverpool! It's unique amongst the other cafes in the area and offers such an amazing menu literally bursting with flavour.

We ordered the ricotta pancakes and smashed avocado and coffee (campos) which is one of the better mainstream blends.

The service was prompt and the staff where extremely friendly and welcoming!

The food came out very quickly and placed in front of us without us noticing as we chatted away in the cute courtyard hidden at the back of the restaurant store front away from the busyness of the main road.

The servings were perfect and jam packed full flavour which your tatsebuds will LOVE you for! The flavour pairings where on point and ingredients so fresh!

The price for 2 people was $35 and with the business supporting local farmers it's a great food investment you won't feel guilty about!

Highly HIGHLY recommend a visit here for breakfast or lunch! Can't wait to go back!

Visited this place for breakfast out of curiosity. Good coffee, friendly staff. Didn't particularly like the bread but the spread was delicious. Overall an enjoyable experience. Parked at Westfields and it was a short walk away. Will return to try the menu for lunch.

Edit: second time visit. They've added fans and more benches. Which, of course is logical because it means they can seat more people however I loved the little tables we sat at last time. Got the blueberry pancakes this time and didn't expect such a delicious and beautiful meal.
Great local cafe, nice interiors and friendly staff. The food is delicious especially their breakfast menu. Have tried the smashed avo with toast which was delicious and they are generous on their servings for the big breakfast platters. Lovely cafe hidden in Liverpool!

We went for brunch on a Sunday, really busy had a half an hour waiting when we went. The breakfast options are limited if your a vegetarian. However the ricotta hotcakes are a must try. Not very sweet the berries and the honey lend it the sweetness. Only criticism was the glasses and dishes were not clean. Spots of food were still stuck to dishes. We attributed to it the busy day. However will still go back again for the coffee and food.

A really cute local find! The service was really friendly, the food was delicious and served quickly. I had the avo smash and my dad had the bacon and egg brioche. I will definitely be back!

I came here with a few girlfriends for breakfast and it was great!! The outdoor courtyard provided fresh air and good vibes. The staff was really friendly and made our visit a great one. The food was super tasty and the staff was super considerate and let me swap my macchiato with a hot chocolate because I didn't know what I was ordering!! It was such an enjoyable visit and will definitely come back again ~

Nice to see more brunch style cafes open up in the west. Decent joint. Good coffee and good food. Outdoors courtyard which is good for fresh air. Friendly staff

South Western Sydney's pride and joy! Good food and great coffee! Though I think the menu needs a revamp! Other than that, love the interior with its rustic/industrial atmosphere

Food was great as was the coffee. Really good quality and from local businesses. Brilliant service. Busy so may have to wait a little bit but very much worth it! Will be back!

Situated in the western suburb of Liverpool Ristretto&Co is a surprising discovery, a gem amongst a pile of rocks.

We came in the amidst of the lunch rush and were told to leave our phone number so they could call us back. After 10 or so minutes we were comfortably settled on a cosy bench in good natural lighting (a bonus for food photographers). The gas heaters were alight and provided the warmth to receed the chill of the winter day.

We ordered the pasta of the day, the smoked chicken salad, polenta chips to share as well as a coffee and a hot chocolate. The quality of the coffee I ordered here is definitely of the highest calibre. There was a certain richness, hard to pinpoint, that surpassed most coffee experiences I've had. However, having said that the food itself was rather disappointing. Ristretto&Co has still to work on the element of refinement boasted by cafés in Surry Hills and even Parramatta if it wants to make a name for itself.

Simple details such as using a heavy hand when drizzling oil on chips, or very limited selection of sides can easily be improved upon to elevate the dining experience. Our polenta chips came out with a pool of oil on the side. The chips themselves lacked the crunchiness and seasoning of good chips. My salad pumpkin, beetroot and chicken salad was good but not great, while the pasta was rather rich and too cheesy.

Overall, a good eatery and perhaps my favourite to go to food place in Liverpool. However, given the trek I made to eat here I'm unlikely to go out of my way to visit this place again.

This is by far the best place I've had coffee at in Liverpool and when I'm stuck out on client site this is probably one of my most visited joint in the area simply for a coffee or two a day. They use campos coffee which is great!

...Is there amazing coffee? Whilst trying to keep up my fitness (burning off the Lebanese sweets more so), I was running around the area only to be stopped in my tracks by an amazing little coffee stop called Ristretto and Co. This is my type of place. This garage turned café is an oasis for all those seeking a classic cup in Liverpool. This place has a traditionally modern café theme to it...

Newtown via Liverpool. I can just go back for the OJ! foodie was good, but the Ojay is very refreshing.
The place had a Rustic and edgy feeling. Definately will come back.

Its been a while since I've last visited a cafe, let alone one within Western Sydney! I've been to this cafe a few times previously, and I honestly quite enjoy all the dishes I have ordered so far, which isn't that much but it's still pretty good!

Connected to the neighbouring hairdresser, Ristretto and Co . immediately caught our eye with its sidewalk coffee stand and very cool ladder plant shelves... I ordered the uovo in pomodoro which was an egg poached in a tomato sauce with chorizo, served beautifully in a terracotta pot. The tomato sauce was deliciously rich in flavour and the chorizo was surprisingly cooked as meatballs which I quite liked. Although the egg white was not cooked enough for my liking (one of the few food things I’m really fussy about), it could be forgiven as it was okay once mixed through pomodoro sauce...

In the South Western suburbs of Sydney, I am absolutely amazed to stumble upon this quirky trendy cafe in Liverpool. It’s a hidden gem which has apparently been opened for 2 years! Who knew right? So if you live in the hood or your an outsider like me (whom happens to be in the area), or lazy to drive to the east, pop by if you’re up for baked eggs, ricotta pancakes, healthy big brekkie and good campos coffee as it’s practically on your door step! Lovely cafe, great vibe and definitely something unique for the area of Liverpool.

Tucked away in a tiny lane way like shop is the wonderful world of Ristretto & Co. Listed in Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Cafe Guide 2013, I knew I had to check it out, early this year. I was blown away from my first encounter and I haven’t stopped coming back since! I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever been disappointed with this place. The food standard is terrific. It really goes to show that you don’t need to be super fancy to produce good food – because they cook right from a tiny nook in the wall as a kitchen. Today in particular we were eating from the breakfast menu because we had arrived there at around 11. Between the six of us we didn’t have that large of a spread in variety. I guess we’re not very original or we share the same taste in breakky. I was a little bit disappointed that we didn’t get to dine from the lunch menu because I am absolutely head over heels in love with their pizza. The menu is a selection of jazzed up breakfast items, lunch paninis, pastas and salads t

Ristretto & Co have so much potential and thrive on so many aspects that are lacking in the Liverpool area of Sydney. The decor and interior are inviting and different from the major franchises that monopolizes the area. The back seating area is peaceful and a really nice place to kick back and relax in the morning or catch up with some friends, away from the busy roads. The place can only improve as they seem to be doing a large mural painting that is in the works as well as a large chalkboard tracking the FIFA World Cup. They also have a large TV screen towards the front so that could be interesting come the World Cup. The food was enjoyable and the service was standard. The coffee was a real let d

Truss tomato, smoked ham, basil and flor di latte toasty ($6). Simple flavours making it a delightful dish. By the time I got to the second toasty, the bottom of the bread was soggy from the truss tomato which was a bit of a shame.

While there was a couple of items that were slightly more expensive for what you get in the South West Sydney area, the menu prices were actually on the cheaper end of the scale compared to most cafes in the Inner Sydney/Inner West area. It's very popular on weekends especially in the morning with diners queuing up for a table.

Was a disappointment.... Went with a group of friend and must say.. there was only one waiter who bothered to checkup on us. We sat in the very back of the restaurant and decided to share food with friends. When we asked for plates to share they gave us a bunch of dirty plates and didn't bother to bring us any clean plates. The only good part of my experience was the amazing coffee.

Nice lay out but terrible service! And very limited menu options. I understand the attempt of trying to be an on trend hot spot but this place completely misses the mark. Wouldn't recommend it

Little hidden gem in Liverpool, this cafe has been my favourite breakfast/lunch joint for a few years now.
As you walk to the back where the dining area is, it is beautifully decorated and cozy.
Their menu changes once in a while so you'll never be sick of this cafe. Staffs are always so attentive and friendly, the "eggs benny" is definitely a favourite- it's topped with their delicious house made hollandaise which is so perfect! Also, I like to change it up with the hot cakes once in a while when I feel like a sweet dish, the great thing about it is that it isn't overly sweet and is just right.
Definitely recommend and will always return.

I enjoyed my coffee but my meal was pretty satisfactory. My egg and bread was cold. Not terrible but nothing to boast about. I did love the coffee though and the service was quite good too. It's a nice atmosphere. Maybe just wrong choice on the menu?

This little place has been the one I take my workmates to to say that the west ain't all that bad!!! The little cove in the back garden has a great feel like any rustic place you pay $20 for a burger for in the inner west but alas, it's Liverpool and well priced!!
Been here a handful of times and hasn't disappointed. The Campos Coffee is amazing and rolls are incredible.. Yet to sample breakfast and delicious looking baked goods menu but can't wait to try.. Just have to bring myself to work in Liverpool on a weekend ... Errrrr?!!! Enjoy peeps

Delicious Brunch in the heart of Liverpool. Who'd have thought this gem would be found in Liverpool? Certainly the best coffee I've had in south west Sydney, not to mention an inner city quality brunch menu. If I'm keen to impress someone this is exactly where I'll head for brunch. Thanks to the guys at Ristretto for bringing quality brunch out here!
