Review My Tandoori Indian Restaurant - Liverpool

Josh Wiggem
Authentic experience, felt like I was in the streets of India, so much so that the worker didn't even know that he worked there!! We were served food where neither of us knew what it was and too make the night perfect, we were told they only accept cash and they let us simply walk out without paying!! Would recommended if your looking for a free feed!!

This restaurant should be the last choice on your list. Service is slow. Not friendly and abrupt mannerism. Food is hit and miss (most likely a miss :)). No commonsense and obnoxious, called ahead to put in an order and was given an eta of 25 minutes and asked for my phone number. I got there 30 minutes later and the food was not cooked yet. When I asked what’s the reason for the delay, he told me we forgot to ask if you wanted mild or hot! I told him that’s silly you had my number why didn’t you call me to confirm. He didn’t say anything. On top of that he went ahead and made my food super hot which wasn’t edible. That’s not the first bad experience I’ve had with them, but would definitely be my last visit. Also even though their eftpos machine works they insists on only accepting cash to avoid paying gst and tax.

The authentic butter chicken is very nice with Nan bread. Even my toddler loves it and had two servings for his size.

Pathetic customer service Cleanliness.... not up to standard. These guys think they are based in remote india somewhere. "Here! Heres your order" Customers buy things for the experience. The owner of the shop thinks the customers owe him. Wont visit again

Customer service is very bad specially one old man in the reception was very rude when placing an order on phone and even when you arrive to pick up your food - not polite at all trying to be oversmart plus charged extra without telling you.

A hidden gem! Northern Indian dishes cooked to how spicy you like your food to be.Friendly and accomodating staff. Will definitely come back

Best Indian restaurant around but get takeaway/delivery as the restaurant is quite small

Was very impressed with this hidden gem. I have been here twice before and will be back here again. I recommend the butter chicken and Rohan josh especially with the naan bread.
A Guide For Your Appetite
Good Food - Terrible Owners

I've dined at this restaurant previously and the food was amazing so was the staff present.

This time I decided to order food and Oh My God! NEVER ever again. I called the restaurant and a male staff picked up. I placed my order and asked him to tell me the price. He quoted me a price that was more expensive then Menu Log. I told him why is that and he just saw certain dish price had gone up. I told him what was the price and it was the same as MenuLog. He straight away replied and said ok I will see you at 7pm. I reaplied with NO... He said "you want online order online then so do you want your order".
Extremely rude and he just lost a customer!!!

I gave 1star for the first experience of food that I had that was nice and 0.5 for the some of the staff who are lovely.

Restaurant management should consider the way they speak to customers over the phone and if it wasn't a manager who answered the call, then perhaps speaking to the staff who did and perhaps train them on customer service.

DISGRACE!

Ideal indian dine or pick up/delivery tucked along a dingy block of shops in Green Valley. We ordered the Beef vindaloo and Chicken Korma x garlic naan and raita (Indian yohurt sauce). Top service, good food and timely arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Petit Fours
The tandoori plate suffers from the usual chronic problem of meats being dry and this sadly was no exception. However, the spicy flavour and smoky char of the exterior definitely makes up for it. Garlic and Cheese Naan 4 Dip it all in with some of their naan.
The Random Foodie
There was actually many different types of naan bread available on the My Tandoori restaurant menu including plain, garlic, cheese, Keema (stuffed mince) to name a few.

I ordered the chicken vindaloo, it was beyond salty and unedible.
The second dish I ordered was the beef aloo, it was so bland.
I was a first time customer, not happy and will not be returning. way too expensive also considering our food was horrible. Liverpool westfields food court even has better curry.

Best Indian in the West.. Loved this place, it's delicious, authentic yet waiting time is slow due to the fact that they make their food on premises / made to order which is a huge plus. Besides that - awesome indian. Definitely recommend.

Clean and Tidy, but slow. Tandoori chicken good and Naans too,but Korma sauce was overly thick without flavour, other sauces tikka masala a bit bland and other lacked complexity.
Presented well but not as nice as alternate experiences else where. Slow on our visit and rice was a bit exxy. Dud night perhaps?

After seeing other reviews, will still give it a go another time, as there aren't many options with parking as easy,or convenient location

Food delicious and staff very friendly. A variety of quality Indian food at very reasonable prices. This restaurant is a tucked away gem.. Worth the visit. Ideal for sit down or takeaway.
