How good is this place! I felt like I was a whole new area. The place looks amazing, the staff are on point with their customer service/smiles and the food will make you want to ask for seconds and thirds. This is perfect for any weather! Will definitely be back �

My partner and I started going here a few weeks ago and now it's a weekly event to go for lunch. Clayton and the chef's know what great food is! It's seriously our favourite place to eat now. Every single staff member is lovely and greet u and it's always service with a smile. I cannot recommend this place enough! See u guys again next week! ���

i visit the hotel regularly and enjoy the food and friendly service. all the staff including new staff make a point to make people welcome and while there are some small issues i find it an enjoyable experience.

Popped to see my mate Leigh the chef Friday night. Lasgne spring rolls were exactly like a lasagne should, and best steak I have had in a while, cooked to a perfect medium rare.

Had my 40th function here and can I say that my guests and I had an absolute ball here!..Had so many enquiries and compliments about this venue from the gorgeous set up ( venue decorates for you)..Amazing and delicious food (and thats coming from Islanders ha!)..and an Awesome DJ who had the dance floor packed all night (felt like i was in my 20s again)...Thank you so much to Beth who took the stress of organising a very Memorable night!!❤

Have been down a couple of times now and I really enjoy it here. From the moment that you walk past the front area and head into the back and newly renovated area, you will be very impressed. The atmosphere is great (especially when sitting outside). We were lucky enough both times to be looked after by Clayton who is the owner of this little liverpool gem who is great- Always happy to have a chat, and always so hospitable :) They do these amazing lasagne spring rolls which are soooooo good!! Would definitely recommend checking them out. When I went the first time, they had mac and cheese jaffles as the weekly special, which blew my mind... I am so weak for jaffles (although on their regular menu they do still have a 3 cheese jaffle)! We also tried the schnitzel and chips (because when in a pub you just HAVE to) and it was delicious! The suckling pig sausage roll was really good too. Would recommend checking them out after work on a one afternoon. Really chilled out and relaxed atmosphere, and it was great :) Next time I return I would definitely be interested in trying their crab on toast and their watermelon and chorizo salad

Newly Renovated, the food is incredible 😋. 

We were lucky to be invited by Macquarie Birsto which was orchestrated by the fabulous @Where_do_i_eat_pete (Uber Pete’s as I know him!), to taste their new Spring Menu. 

 Out host Clayton was very friendly and accommodating, and a big shout out to Chef Leigh McDivitt (@leighmcdivitt) for the mouthwatering menu!

Great food, extraordinary service and very clean.

Went for lunch today with mates and LOVED everything on the table. Got the grain salad salad, fish and chips, chicken schnitzel and a few drinks. The salad was on point. Delicious and healthy. The schnitzel and fish were both cooked really well. We also really loved the chips (good chips = day made).

The customer service also deserves a special mention. Not only were the staff really friendly, they were also very efficient.

My only issue with Macquarie Hotel was that there were NO vegetarian mains whatsoever. I would have happily rated this place 4.5 if the menu catered for everyone.

A bistro located in the Macquarie Hotel, this is a collaboration between Clayton Ries and Colin Fassnidge.

There are many choices which are split between smalls (grazing items or can be had by one), mains (substantial meals), large shared plates for two, sides, and desserts.

We were lucky enough to sample the smalls and desserts here. The highlights included the Lasagne Spring Rolls which combined the oozy interior of a lasagne with the crispy spring roll wrapper...yum! The Suckling Pig Sausage Roll was like a delicious pork meatloaf enveloped in golden crispy pastry. Ham And Cheese Croquettes had a crunchy exterior with a gooey ham and cheese filling. The theme seemed to be wonderful crunchy outside and scrumptious insides.

The Brownies were delectable though some slightly under and very gooey. The Creme Brûlée was smooth and creamy. Nice crack on the sugar top. Popcorn ice cream was something different on top and tasted wonderful.

Return of the MAC!!!!! Revamped Macquarie Bistro is taking bistro dining to a new level with a rejuvenated menu of pub classics & desserts to absolutely drool over! The only downfall for me was the front entrance... a bit intimidating for young girls and/or families walking by and totally deflects from the amazing set up in the back!

Very nice n quiet place, well decorated n the food tastes awsome. Service is good. I was just passing thru the area. Glad i picked this place.

...The Portuguese Chicken wasn't as spicy as I would have liked but it was still delicious to eat and I really liked the Salt and Pepper Squid. The Inferno Wings were okay but to be honest, that may have been because I was getting full by the time I decided to have one. We had chips and salad with each dish but you have the option of mash or chips and salad or vegetables for the Schnitzels.
