Review Crown Charcoal Chickens - Liverpool

I've always had a great experience when ordering from here, my food is always fresh and prepared fast for me. The people who have served me are always very polite and provide good customer service. It's my go to for a nice lunch, I recommend their fish cocktails and caesar salad!!

Generally hot and tasty food. The menu is pretty typical for a chicken shop and great to see they use real charcoal for roasting. The salads all look great although I’ve never tried them! I have made a few orders for chicken and chips, lunch meals and a few small items. The chicken is good but not amazing, sometimes a bit dry. For the price you might find other local chicken shops can do better but this spot is convenient and does the job. I will say the service can be quite abrupt and rude. I was once caught between one of the staff and a supplier delivery where the staff were scolding/yelling at the delivery guy. A bit awkward! Anyway, will likely order more here as it’s very local for me.

Really nice food, always good. Only negative is the time they close is so early. 8pm is too early.

Great place to grab some lunch. Portion size is very generous. Food came out hot and fast. It would be nice to be able to sit and eat here, unfortunately no seating on site. Besides that, top shop!!

The charcoal chicken are terrible! Super dry and tasteless and overpriced. Absolutely one of the worst charcoal chicken I have ever had. The boss is Asian and the workers are Indians. Definitely no where near a proper western charcoal chicken joint like we used to have back in the early 2000s The customer service is below average too. Highly NOT Recommended!!

I had the quarter chicken, chips and coleslaw. It was very nice

Certainly one of the best chips in the area, just be careful of leaving them in the bag for too long because they get soggy. The salads are well made and the chicken and burgers are delicious. Although the customer service is a bit off, the good food pays off. 👍
